"Serving Chilean-leaning classics, this long-standing Mile End corner café offers a wide variety of sandwiches for just $5.75 a piece, as well as empanadas ($3.50 each), and main dishes for around $10 to 15. Don’t leave without trying one of their alfajores, a dulce de leche sandwich cookie found all throughout South America." - Dahlia Snaiderman, Daniel Bromberg

I went to this coffee shop and ordered a espresso. Me being and idiot tourist did not have enough money; short a dollar. The owner was so nice and let it slide! Thanks to the owner and people like him, my trip was wonderful. Mucho Gracias to the owner, I will never forget his kindness!

I come from Chile and let me tell you, eating here was the closest I have felt to that country after moving to Montréal. The owners are amazing and the food is authentic. They also have chilean sodas which brought so many memories back for me. The service was friendly and super fast. Prices are pretty good as well. I will be coming back for sure!

My favourite casual lunch spot in the neighbourhood. The barros luco sandwich is simple and excellent (be sure to try the hot sauce). The empanadas are also great takeout food. The lentil soup is a hidden gem on the menu. A nice family-run spot.

My favourite Latin American place to eat in Montreal. A go to spot that I frequented more than a couple times already. The empanadas are my favourite of the places I've tried. Love the envelope fold of the Chilean empanada. The beef empanada is a must get here - really deep flavour, but I would stay away from the spinach cheese one as the filling tasted soggy and underseasoned. The Barros luco sandwich is also incredible and the spicy dipping sauce it came with further elevated it Service could be much better but the food makes up for it

Delicious! I had the shrimp and cheese empanada as well as the lentil soup. Straightforward, tasty food and warm service.

A fantastic gem of Chilean cuisine! The eponymous sandwich (with steak) was great, and the crepes accompanied by dulce de leche were to die for!

Food was really good! We took a lot of stuff to try and everything was tasty. Definitely coming back again to eat those delicious chicken barros!
