Value for money. Great Tres-leches. The place has a rustic vibe to it. The owner is very kind. I asked to use the washroom without being the customer and he was very kind and allowed me without any questions. I bought the Tres-leches out of courtesy but it turned out great.

I just had a coffee. Really nice service. The place was chill, no frills. Luckily when I went it wasn't busy so I got work done.

This place is like a portal to Chile…. Everything was amazing starting from the service. Te music & the nice terrace were a blast. The food… delicious… “The completo” amazing thing made by the human. Indescribable. You just have to come visit this amazing place.

The vege empanada and 2 salads (salade chilienne, potato salad) with hot sauce were good. The open garage makes it possible to take in the community vibes on fairmount while you eat, contributing to the relaxing environment. The staff are really sweet

We had lunch here today. Overall the experience was good. We ordered a cheese empanada, a burrito, lomo saltado, and dulce de leche crepes. The empanada was the best of all those things, it was really good. The lomo saltado and the burrito were a bit spicy for our taste, but not bad. The dulce de leche crepe was good. The price was better than the average you can find around Montreal. The place seemed to be very popular.

The barros pollo is extremely worth it, especially at that price. This place is lovely, the staff are really nice, and the waiter bore with us and our in-progress Spanish and French skills. Ditch the line at Fairmount across the street and come here instead.

Google
I come from Chile and let me tell you, eating here was the closest I have felt to that country after moving to Montréal. The owners are amazing and the food is authentic. They also have chilean sodas which brought so many memories back for me. The service was friendly and super fast. Prices are pretty good as well. I will be coming back for sure!

Spacious, authentic service and genuinely traditional. We had cheese empanadas and coffee

Yelp
I've only had their barros luco sandwich but it was delicious!!! It's like a mini hamburger but with avocado and melted cheese instead of the usual lettuce, tomato, etc. The beef is pounded on to make a flat disk and then the whole thing if put in a soft yet crunchy-isn bun. Staff is super friendly, cash only (this is fairmount after all), and lots of seating if you're going to eat in.

Yelp
The food is good, but not great. A bit over priced for the quality, but this is Le Plateau. Service is friendly but a bit slow. I will keep visiting this place no doubt, but for the record: There is a couple of places that serve better empanadas in this city.

Yelp
It's ok, music is nice when the Peruvian artist is there... portions sizes can be more generous. They need to update their menu prices, was overcharged but went back and the lady was kind, a real darling ... credited th difference. Food is average, but there is lots of potentIl for sure.

Yelp
My wife is peruvian and although this isn't a peruvian restaurant, they have some nice foods and drinks from her childhood. We came here the first time as we were getting bagels across the street and needed coffee. The coffee is pretty good, and they have Inca Kola which isn't found too many places. We tried a few empanadas and the cheese is easily the best. The chicken was better than the spinach. They have some tasty pastries as well. Worth checking out if in this area, its different than most places and the staff is trilingual.

Yelp
I stumbled upon this "Chilean?" Restaurant on my way to brunch elsewhere. I took a quick peak inside and was won over by their charm and long list of sandwiches. I ordered the Vegetarian sandwich and my mother had the classic 'barros Lucos'. The service was friendly and the sandwiches were delicious. A lot of people stopping by to grab a meal. I will definitely visit next time I'm in the area. Next time I will have a 'churro '!!

Yelp
We had some empendas (chicken), a Barros Luco sandiwch and a hot dog...My suggestion: skip the hot dog...I thought guacamole on a hot dog would be an awesome combination. It wasn't. But the rest was pretty good. Plus you get to see them make the sandwich at the counter and all the food was piping hot. If you are in the area and need a cheap good meal, it's definitely an option.

Yelp
What a great place! I had their cheese empanada mmmm loved it! Their table sauce for the food... I wish they sold because it was delicious! Their churrasco sandwich even better! The family who owns it (the staff) were so great! Gracias por su amabilidad, hospitalidad y rica comida! Que pena que no estén mas cerca! Espero ir a Montreal otra vez muy pronto para visitar este gran lugar!

Yelp
First of, come with a debit card or cash, they don't accept credit cards. Food is really average, the place is not super neat either... They have a lot of work to improve if they wanna compete with the places around here...

Yelp
So cute, amazing food. Better than any brunch place as they give you sooo much food. The people are so sweet too.

Yelp
Great little place for a Barros Lucos, the bread is uniquely sweet and the fillings which include steak, avocado, and cheese is just perfect. Among the other must try items are their caramel dessert (everything is made in house) or their special of the day like todays fried fish with rice. The people who own it are super friendly and while it's a no fills whole in the wall, your sure to find something you will love.

Yelp
A really great, friendly little Chilean place with great empanadas! I had the beef, but I can't wait to return and try others. They also have Alfajores (delicious cookies!). Really friendly owner and staff, reasonable prices and an all-around warm feeling when you go in. Highly recommended!

Yelp
This place has really improved and I really love their empanadas and burritos. Very kind owner who constantly updates the plates, decor, quality. My only complaint is that I'd like to see vegetarian burritos cooked fresh always. Sometimes the waiter goes into the kitchen and to ask "Do we have any left?" It makes me think much of the burrito is frozen/microwaved/sitting around. If the tastes were just a little fresher I think this place would be great! I would still recommend it!

Yelp
The food is good the sandwiches could be way more authentic! The meat used on the sandwiches is not correct! Also a "barros luco" is made with only the steak and cheese! Not avocado and tomato! I hope they get better and just improve throughout.

Yelp
The eponymous steak sandwich might be the best sandwich I've ever had. Perfect contrast among hot sauce, avocado, steak, and cheese; the bread was fresh and the service fast.

Yelp
We stopped by for a quick snack. We ordered a veggie sandwich each. The veggies were fresh and the bread was good. The best part was the homemade hot sauce. Kind of reminds me sriracha and sambal mixed together. Their brunch menu is limited but the churros look amazing!

Caro G.

Yelp
I love everything about this restaurant, the food, the bakeries (so good!) and the juices are really amazing too. It's cheap and fast and worth every penny!

Melissa M.

Yelp
Truth be told, I have been going to this place for years but every time I go the place seems to be worse. I used to be a big fan of their churrasco sandwich, but now they are just sad looking with barely any steak on them and the meat contains a fair amount of untrimmed fat. I also got a typical Chilean salad and it was filled with poorly cut tomatoes meaning there were a few inedbile pieces. It is as if they don't care anymore about the quality of food, which is a shame. The staff is super friendly and the place has great potential, I just hope they go back to the way they used to be and quit skimming on their quality and care!

Sarah A.

Yelp
Having family from Chile and being half Chilean myself, I grew up eating the food from this country, this restaurant is excellent! their aji is the best! Their food is very tasty. their completos (hot dogs) are made like in the home land.
