The gin lover that I am is so happy to have discovered this place! The bartender was super friendly and took his time to explain several cocktails on the menu, the one he recommended me in the end was delicious! Glad I listened to him. The place has a great vibe, it’s big but still cozy and homey.

One of mine favourite restaurants in Brussels. Delicious and affordable Italian place. For now I tried parmigiana and carbonara and it was delicious. I would also add that the service is excellent!

Google
I had high expectations.. they have a lovely selection of Gin, a lovely setting but i did not feel the Gin expertise I expected... spent 20 a Euro for the Gin of the week (served with a straw) but can not say it was memorable (Amazonia) It is an OK pless for beer

De Haus is a great venue for Gin lovers. Not only they are super nice, but the servers are also specialists in drinks made out of Gin, and will take their time to talk to you about you, present you different options and figure out what suits your taste better. Drive is are made to perfection. The environment can get pretty crowded on weekends (might be hard to find a table), but that's also due to the atmosphere. It's laid back, relaxing, peanut shells on the floor (fun!) and also nice music. I totally recommend visiting this place next time you go to Ixelles!

Google
OMG. This is the best gin bar in Brussels, in my opinion. The staff are awesome. The gin tasting was super cool and educational.

Google
Nice variety of the gins , nice atmosphere, good music and peanuts for free :)

12€ for literally half a glass of a cocktail. When I asked the waiter, he told me quite rude that's 'the normal portion'... Portions are really small for the price

we went there 2 times in a period of 3 weeks and we were the first customers, the toilet hygiene was so appalling that i would gladly pee in festival toilets for the rest of my life. The smell was awful and there was dry pee on the floor that was clearly never been cleaned. And of course there was no soap available. Total disrespect for the customers. The music was very cool though.

Yelp
The hipster gin bar was a great way to spend an hour. We got there early and had the front half of the place to ourselves. I enjoyed the De Haus cocktail with apple juice, strawberry syrup, and gin. My husband was helped by the bartender in choosing a gin that matched his palate. Unfortunately, they serve their G&Ts with "toppings" and the frozen raspberries ruined the taste for him. Once they removed these frozen bits, he enjoyed the rest. We coupled our drinks with a meat and cheese plate.

Yelp
I was attracted, like many, by the hipster look and the location, place Fernand Cocq, where really there should be more bars like this apart from L'Amour Fou. Anyways, we went there for a Thursday after-work drink. The roof is made of old cases of beers - very nice. Nice long bar, a lounge area at the window (but not a lot of people sitting there!). All nice. The decor, the music, the menu. BUT: it gets a bit noisy. So noisy that we had to shout to talk with each other (in a group of 5) and the gin&tonics are really a bit expensive for 9 EUR (or more). We didn't try any food - apart of course for the nuts on the table (that are a nice idea, until you realise you have them all over the table, you and the floor) - and the menu seemed a bit expensive. The nice thing is that they will sell some of the vintage furniture in the shop. Each week some piece. A good way to improve your home feel, with interesting stuff. At the time (second week of opening) they weren't accepting cards "because we don't have the machine - it didn't arrive yet". Mmmm...

Yelp
even though the place is quite noisy when it gets busy, it has a certain charm that mesmerise you in returning ... and it works! nice GIN TONIC cocktails, and the usual drinks. even the juice cocktails are great some saturdays DJ night with nice mixes

Yelp
Proper Brussels hipster bar. One of my new favourite Brussels drinkholes, De Haus is a large, open-plan bar with a great hipster/rustic vibe, matching decor and a wide range of liquors. Advertised as a gin bar, it does most cocktails well, although you might find them a bit pricey (€11-14). I've been here both with friends and on dates, and I would recommend the former - it's too loud and casual to develop any intimacy.

Yelp
This trendy bar offers a convivial space to mix and mingle around a drink and a bite to eat. A lounge area at the front, an open kitchen space and a stretched bar give it a modern and familiar feel, perfect for meeting up with friends. The décor, with its ceiling decorated with old wine cases and beer crates, is very funky. Not to mention that a number of exhibited images and paintings, including some of the vintage furniture, can be purchased. So if you're interested in reshuffling your home interior then be sure to take a look at the changing pieces on offer. Drinks, which include a good list of cocktails, are very nice though a little pricey. It is a similar story for the nibbles, good but overpriced; though I'll always commend the effort in trying to use organic and bio products. Situated across from Ixelles Town Hall, 'De Haus' is the latest venture of two young entrepreneurs that already own next door's "L'Amour Fou" and Ethiopian restaurant "KokoB" in town. This means that beside the bits and pieces on offer, you can also order burgers from next door's restaurant. ** On busy nights it can get rather loud and you might want to watch out for those peanuts, I managed to create quite a mess when taking them apart while concentrating on the World Cup game that they were screening.

Yelp
Super cool atmosphere, design and the staff is great. There is a lively atmosphere and the selection of drinks & food is perfect for the place. The gin&tonic is a must there, you can chose combinations among a vast selection of gins , mixers and tonics (very pricy for a drink though!!). Your order comes with a basket of peanuts, the original touch!

Yelp
Well... Serving two gin tonics with one bottle of tonic for both is not really nice for customer.. Even more when the charge is 5 euro for two tonics? Where's the second? Do not charge for what you don't serve...

Yelp
You don't come by too many hipstery places in Brussels, but this one certainly falls in that category. A nice and chill place with better than average selection of house wines for those of us who are not fans of Belgian beers. The menu is creative and offers light, yummy and veggie options, a big plus! We also loved the bowls of peanuts offered and that everyone drops the shells directly on the floor, we felt like naughty kids making a mess =D

Yelp
Lovely trendy bar that opened early 2014. Ideal place for coming for a few drinks after work, though it tends to get very busy and - as a result - exceedingly noisy. They are seemingly specialized in gin tonic, though their beer selection is quite good too.

Yelp
I love De Haus. Great atmosphere, friendly staff who know their cocktails and the decor is very nice. Definitely a nice place to enjoy a few Gin cocktails. And the idea of serving you a basket full of peanuts in their shells is fun and quite addictive even if you're not hungry.

Yelp
Nice bar to go for cocktails or other drinks. I really like the lamps on the ceiling and the general look. I don't know about another place in that area also serves cocktails. They serve free peanuts, so if you are allergic to peanuts (or a neat freak), I would avoid the place. There are peanut shells everywhere (on the floor, table)..

Yelp
My favorite bar in Brussels! Such a refreshing and charming location. Lovely gin & tonic cocktails and the servers are really helpful so you can pick the best one for your taste! Very cool and trendy vibe. Highly recommend if you enjoy cocktails!

Yelp
Top quality and delicious variety of G&Ts for very reasonable prices. The staff is friendly, helpful, and multi-lingual. The decor is also cool/hipstery. It can often get very crowded on weekend nights, but then people can spill out onto the street out front with a view of the Ixelles commune building.
