I recently discovered a fantastic restaurant in Houston that specializes in goat dishes, and it absolutely exceeded my expectations. I ordered a variety of dishes including grilled goat, steamed goat, goat stew (rựa mận), goat hot pot, and spring rolls. Every single dish was bursting with flavor and cooked to perfection. There are also other dishes on the menu for people who don’t eat goat. The restaurant is clean and spacious, which makes it nice to eat there. I’m definitely planning to come back soon to explore more of their offerings. Highly recommend for anyone looking to try something delicious and different in Houston!

This restaurant is the best place for goat dishes "Dê" in the Houston area, hands down. Dê hấp, nướng, dồi chiên, sườn nướng, and lẩu. It's all super tasty, and the portions are large. Whenever we play soccer in the North45 area, we always eat here. We've never been disappointed!

Very sweet little spot to pop in for with lots of unique menu options! Pho was a pleasant light broth and they were generous with the basil. Fried egg rolls were super fresh and delicious. Wait staff were friendly and professional. This was an excellent stop in.

It was our first time here yesterday due to the good reviews. OMG, the food were not anywhere as good as the Google review except the girl whose served our table. There was a lot of rotten vegetables mixed in between the plate. Discusting! Better yet, what they listed in the price menu was not the same when you paid the bill. Look at the photos below and see how they charged extra. I had goat hot pot many many places including in Vietnam, this place had the worst food we ever had. The "Com Tam Suon Nuong" was burned and tasteless. We had Goat Hot Pot in Dallas, TX at "Nam Hua" WAY BETTER than this crabby place. Don't come here you'll be over charged for SHITTY food. Not Worth A Penny!!!!

Since we haven’t had goat dishes for long time, we decided to come here to try goat hotpot. We ordered a small goat hotpot and grilled sliced goat meat. They are absolutely delicious. Grilled goat meat is tender and well seasoned. Hotpot broth tastes good but hotpot meat is little bit more chewy than grilled meat. Service is good and fast. I think I’ll come back since I want to try other goat dishes.

Just finished eat here! I order their "signature sizzling steak,fried egg with french bread", an order of egg rolls and a Heineken. And food was DELICIOUS! It was soooo good I actually got some of the bread and scraped some of the left over steak juice! 🤤 which I typically NEVER do! Definitely coming back!

De Hoang Duy is a culinary gem! The Shrimp Spring Rolls were fresh and flavorful, and the Mango Lemonade was a perfect blend of sweet and tangy. The Goat Hot Pot and Stew were both tender and delicious, with rich, complex flavors. GOAT. HOT. POT. My husband and I were here on Thanksgiving Day. I was so glad they were open because it was pouring rain the whole day. Hot pot was just the perfect meal on a [humid] rainy day. (They are usually closed on Wed and Thu.) Not only was the food deadass delicious, but the server guy was hella happy. Joy was radiating from him. He even offered us some delicious cake that came from the bakery next door. Goat hot pot was served on a portable stove - the kind with the gas canisters. Everything was in the pot already except for the veggies (I think it was A choy/Taiwanese lettuce) and noodles. The red sauce tasted hella fermented by itself, but it was great with the goat meat. I also got the combination broken rice. It came with a nicely fried egg over the rice and different types of meat. For two people, this was more than enough food. We took home the leftovers. The restroom here is hella clean. I was surprised to see seat covers in the women's room.

Food, Lâu De was not as flavorful as before. Grill De was also not as plentiful as before. I'm not sure why, but the flavor and the plentiful of the food have decreased dramatically. 5.5/10 The service was average... the normal bring out the pot, the sauce and water. We were a party of 5 and I have to say we were never told that a 20% service charges was going to be added until we went to pay for the bill. The server never even came to our table to check if we needed additional sauces, napkins or even if anything was additional needed to be charging us 20% for the service. 6/10. Overall, I don't think we will be coming back. It was absolutely below average. Hugely disappointing.

My first time I was here food was alright but because I had already eaten before. Tonight I came in with a better appetite, still full from my lunch though. Glad they serve beer now. Beer goes well with their specialty dish. We got Tuyet canh (blood pizza) - tastes best with squeezed lime, cracker, mints, peanuts, and a bite of red pepper! Goat curry - so good with the bread. Got hot pot - meat was delicious and my favorite lotus root. We ordered another dish but I forgot the name of it .

RACIST!!!! I went in to try and use the bathroom and they told me I had to be a customer so I offered to buy a drink and they told me I had to buy a meal, so I went to my car to get my purse to get the money for the meal and when I came back In they refused my services and told me I couldn't buy anything, because they didn't want me to use the bathroom at all!!! !!!!!bad customer service!!!!!!

Maybe like 3.5 stars! The service here is excellent, but they are not that dedicated. Don't get me wrong, but the food is quite delicious, a bit expensive compared to the food I received. Perhaps this will not be a suitable place for a family meal but a place to gather friends. At that time, I felt that the surrounding area was quite noisy because of people drinking. Overall, I will come back if I'm craving for a goat sometimes.

This restaurant isn't located in the best area but its unique because it serves goat about 8 different ways, whereas most Vietnamese restaurants do not even serve goat period. If you want goat testicle, they have it here. The floor is sticky, and decor is minimal, and there wasn't even any customers the evening I visited, but once the food started coming out, I started to breathe easier. I ordered 3 different versions, a small goat hot pot, sliced steamed goat, and grilled goat chops. My favorite was easily the goat chops, due to the flavor and it was the spiciest dish. Hot pot - this dish comes out in a pot and heats on your table until boiling. It contains various veggies and lots of chunks of steamed mostly boneless goat....good flavor. Sliced and steamed - my 2nd favorite dish. Goat is prepared similar to a Vietnamese pork lunch meat with black peppercorn and sliced. By itself, its nothing special but when you make rolls out of it with herb leaves and dip it in their special stinky sauce. It tastes pretty good. Make sure to squirt lime juice in the sauce/ paste. Chops - these are curried chops, then grilled. Only negative is they contain a lot of glutinous material and each chop is either fatty or chewy once you remove the bone. I removed most of it to get to the meat. You can eat them alone, or make lettuce wraps with their special sauce provided. Similar to other chops, not a lot of meat, but this dish is all about flavor. Only slightly spicy from the curry power and some red pepper flakes. Overall, dining here was a unique experience and one you probably won't find anywhere else in Houston. Its just a different way of cooking. I can't comment on their other dishes such as pho or hue, so I can only recommend the goat.

Very happy to have a authentic Vietnamese goat cuisine restaurant in Houston! This place specialize in Vietnamese goat dishes, therefore carry all the popular cuts and ways to cook it. I would recommend this place to people since this is the closest flavor I have found to Vietnam. My favorites: -Goat hot pot -Steamed sliced Goat meat (fav! I eat a whole plate myself!) -stir fry slice goat meat -grilled goat ribs -grilled slice goat meat They used to have grilled goat breasts, which sounds gross, but is a delicacy. Not sure if they can't find a supplier or permanently removed from menu. I love their dipping sauces! Very strong and fermented, which is the best part! The reason I can't give a 5 Star, is because the rest of the menu offered that isn't goat meat, is rather disappointing. We have ordered the Bo Ne (steak and egg), and it's disappointing. The bread is super dry, literally just thin slices of steak and fried egg. The pho is blah too. I believe they have it just for people that doesn't eat goat meat, but would like to dine with family and friends.

I have eaten here for many years and still keep coming back for their Lau De, De Hap.. Due to the Covid 19, they are closed on Monday and Tuesday, the other days maybe open until 8:00 PM.

I ordered 2 big size goat hotpot and 2 orders of grilled goat. They all tasted really good. The soup was awesome, along with enough vegetables for me to dip in the hotpot. It didn't really have any goat's stink. Grilled goat had some tendon parts which were really delicious, it comes with grilled okra btw. The sauces came with it is good too. The only 1 thing that I'm not really happy is they charge the dipping sauce for $1 if we ask for extra. I ordered 2 big size of hotpot which could serve 10 people, but there were only 2 dipping sauces. When I asked for extra, they charged more, which I think restaurant needs to consider. The place is a bit far away from Bellarie but employees were nice and friendly. Overall, the food is awesome too so I highly recommend this place if you're looking for goat hotpot and grilled goat. It should be 4.5 stars (because of the sauces) but Yelp doesn't really have 0.5 option.

I came in with an open mind because I needed something quick on my way to work. I was around the area and wanted some rice plate and a small order of spring rolls. When I came in, the person taking my order was not even wearing the mask correctly. She had it under her chin. Aside from that, she was singing and talking and yelling and did not even take my order for the spring rolls. After I ordered she told me it would take 10 minutes. The order took over 25 minutes. When I got my rice plate, she forgot to tell them about my spring rolls. I had to wait another 10 minutes. Was very inconvenient for me to stop by, didn't think it was worth it. When I finally ate my meal I noticed how the meat was dry and the rice was also dry. The spring rolls were bland and unimpressive. not only that I felt unsafe to be there, it doesn't seem like they are taking covid procedures cautiously. Not only that, food was just okay to not that great. Won't be back.

Great food and service!! I called to place a large togo order but had a few questions about a some menu items. The gentlemen taking my order was very patient and kind enough to explain the differences between some dishes on the menu. Out Food was ready on time and still hot once we arrived home. Definitely recommend and will be ordering here again!!

2 years ago, this place was great. Now it has gone downhill, customer service is terrible. Had the server mean mug me and "attempted" to give me attitude. The worst part was the dirty table. The food used to be fresh and good. Now it neglected, poor management. Very disappointed, this place definitely does not represent Vietnamese business or it's community. Let me break it down: Cleanliness 1/10 Food 6/10 Waiter Service 1/10 STAY AWAY FROM THIS NIGHTMARE !

I found this restaurant online and it was delicious just like Lau de in Vietnam, A small pot with a lot of foods and only $25

You know when you go to an Asian restaurant and they have like 100 items on the menu but you can't figure out what you want? Then the dish you order was disappointing so you figured you just ordered what the restaurant doesn't specialize in? Forgive my terribly worded question but you know what I mean?? Well, this restaurant has a limited menu so that means everything should be all right. Boy was I way off. Actually, the spring rolls were decent, but seriously you can't get that wrong. Nuoc mam (fish sauce) had the viscosity of extra virgin olive oil!!!! I cringed with heartache while trying to take a picture. It was like a slap in the face because it's a staple to the Vietnamese household and soooo simple to make. I ended up dipping my egg rolls in it and it was just horrid. Egg rolls are not worth ordering either. Sorry. Bo ne (steak & eggs) is a no. Just no. The pate is placed on the hot, sizzling cast iron so instead of spreadable pate you have firm, cooked liver. The steak is literally a poor quality, slab of beef that you have to cut up. Call me lazy but you seriously cannot put that piece of cow in between the banh mi. Cooked liver + no butter spread + a whole steak + banh mi = good luck. My bf, who is not very hard to please, wasn't satisfied with his com suon nuong (rice & pork chop). I felt bad cause I dragged him to the place lol. I realized that this restaurant is catered to the Viet folks that like thit de (goat meat) and the other unique dishes you can't find in the area. I understand that. And I hate to do my people wrong but they gotta get the other dishes on the menu right especially the staples. If they can't, then don't serve it and only serve what's good. The pluses I noticed: they're open late (10PM) and like I mentioned they serve goat meat and tiet canh (coagulated blood cake/jello stuff my dad and his friends like to eat)

Loved their food and their service. When I go out to eat we go all out. It was a rainy day so Pho and a Bahn Mi sounded super cozy. Pulled up with my kid and ordered a spread of 1 large pho that I would be splitting with my son, egg rolls, and 2 bahn mi sandwiches. Chefs kiss indeed. Ordered another pho and took our leftovers home. Even re-warmed, it was the BOMB.COM. Will come back, thank you!

My new favourite place for goat meat! Came here on Sunday morning, the restaurant was clean and the server was very attentive. Ordered De Bop Thau (Goat Meat Delight Salad), wasn't disappointed. The dish was tasty, the amount of meat and veggies is very generous, and most of all, the flavour seems perfectly balanced. If you're craving for goat meat, or just simply wanna try something different from the mainstream daily food, check this place out. I will definitely come back to try their other goat meat dishes.

De Nuong vo and Xao lan were very delicious. Hot it was very tasty. This our first time and won't be last time. We will be back. The restaurant is very clean. Service was very good. Overall we had great time an , we went back here for 5 times and still can't get enough. High recommendation

This place doesn't need costumers. We called ahead and asked what time they closed, they said 8pm while it still left 10pm on Yelp. We arrived at 7.15pm but we saw the open sign was closed, so I came in and asked if they still received orders dine in, and this guy said they close already. We literally called and drove 40 mins to get there. I wouldn't recommend anyone to come and order. I don't even know if the food even tastes good, but they don't respect their costumers.

Not-nice-at-all attitude, especially the lady. She took us to a table and it was kinda dirty. Asked her for help and she said "The table is like that, it's not dirty" and walked away. We also asked her for a scissor to cut the meat, again "The meat is like that, you can use your teeth." We asked for two rice papers, she told her people to bring out three so they could get extra money from us. We did not know that until we checked out at the counter and overheard what they said. I was so in shock. Ridiculously rude!!!!!!

This place serves authentic Vietnamese style goat dishes. My family and I love to come here for "De Nuong" (BBQ goat meat), "De Xao Lan" (sauteed goat meat, served with a loaf of warm bread - so good!!!), "Cari De" (yellow curry with goat meat", "Doi Hap" (steamed blood sausages), "De Nhua Man" (a very special Vietnamese goat stew with sesame, served with either rice or rice noodles), and "Lau De" (goat hot pot). The service has always been good and quick. Plenty of parking spaces. Highly recommend!!!

Bingo! Finally! A Vietnamese restaurant NOT only worthy to stay at its location, but probably one of the top 5 on Veterans Memorial Drive. Hiiii folks, I'm here to tell you a little about this death trap of a location that used to be a Mexican Restaurant, then a Vietnamese restaurant with the worst crawfish you would have EVER tasted in your whole life and some to spare to finally this, yes THIS. I get so excited when I think of how finally close it is to home and don't have to go all the way to Beaumont for the spiciest Bun Bo Hue you, and your taste buds, and your stomach, and your intestines and your anu........well let's just say that you better hope it doesn't burn as much going out as it does in. I made a review of two Viet restaurants in Beaumont that beats all Houston restaurants as far as the flavor and spiciness until this champion stepped into the ring. These people don't play, you will hurt yourself (if they serve you the same caliber of spiciness they did me), and you will hurt anybody that tries to take your soup away, it's that good and it's that close. Please, whoever cooks this in the back, even though it is ridiculously spicy, do not change the recipe, it's unique,it's a bowl of soup from the lava river from hell. Now that I got that out of the way, you can go ahead and survey around the restaurant and notice that there are hot pot style family style foods ($35) that cater to the taste buds of goat loving meatatarians. It is a pretty good set up and based on what I saw, it's worth at least a try. The fried egg rolls, fresh, not flash deep fried after being cooked halfway (half of the restaurants in Houston are guilty of this), very crispy and not oily. You get three for about $2.50. The fish sauce that comes with it is a tangy sweet, add your red chili pepper to taste for the custom zing. Banh mi bo: The steak, egg, pate and toasted bread dish which used to be around $14 under the previous owners is now a reasonable $8, but not the same quality of meat. It is something unique if you are a first time to Vietnamese food and curious what this dish is all about but hold on, if you tried it and liked it, there are a lot better places in Houston that does it better, this is just a gateway price/food to let you know what the Vietnamese cooks are capable of. By the way, this also comes out sizzling on an iron cast like fajitas. The pork chop, egg, rice, and salad dish is perfect for those that don't want half of Wilber the oink in front of them but want to savor the taste that is on par with a good quality staple dish. What is unique about this dish here compared to other restaurants (and so few) is that they grill the pork (one) chop from start to finish, it is very tender. If you've gone to other places you can tell that you've gotten something that was halfway cooked on par for the next day because it's almost like pork jerky, well maybe not THAT tough but almost close enough. If you want to introduce anybody to the dish so that they get one of the best around, this is the place to get it. Pho, I like it, I love it, I wanted more of it, I tried, so hard, but I couldn't finish it....it's not a gigantic bowl but there are a lot of different parts of the moo swimming in it that will sample you enough to balance out what you get so that you're not just stuck on one or two types of "meats". There was a sense of the star anise, cinnamon, ginger, the whole crew was in the bowl. If you've eaten enough Pho in your life, you'll be able to tell that care and the ancestorial legend was put into this bowl. Service.....uh.... well, you'll get to get your order taken, you'll get a good taste bud experience here but you might not get a refill unless you bring your water cup (or whatever you're drinking) up to the counter. It's a stop, drop and roll...away.....and stay away type service but that was just the two of the three times that I came here. I'm sure things are probably better but I'm not holding my breath for my visits The restaurant is clean, the bathrooms seemed like they got a good renovation, and there's even @gasp soap! And you don't have to jerk off the soap dispenser to get any soap out, everything works in here! Oh, to the left wing of the establishment there is a wooden patio that would make a good place to enjoy the outdoor, just be alert because the surrounding neighborhood is kind of sketchy. I have a feeling that this one is going to be around for a while, they have the variety, the taste, the price and almost the service going for them. There are about three televisions in here and one of them seem to always be playing some kind of hometown Hollywood show that might interest you. I have one request folks, if you do try the bun bo hue and they put it at their regular strength, please, PLEASE message me and tell me about how spicy it was for you. I want to gauge this with other places that I bump into. Happy eating folks.

We came here after hearing a lot of hype about their amazing goat hot pot. In comparison to one hot pot and grill's goat hot pot, there is much more goat meat, but much less herbal broth flavor. My hubby likes it because he loves goat meat, but as a person who only likes goat hot pot for everything but the goat meat, I was not impressed. The broth left me longing for more flavor, there was only one type of veggie provided. Overall, if you like goat meat, this is your place. Otherwise, thank u, next.

The best and the only restaurant in Houston that mainly serves goat meat (thit de). My family and I drove for 35 minutes and definitely worth it. The price is pretty fair with the quality of the dish and the amount of meats in it. Very authentic!!! We ordered de hap, de rua man and lau de. They all were delicious, very similar to the taste in Vietnam. The meats were moist and tender. My family and I will definitely come back here for more dishes. P.s. bring your own beer (BYOB)

When I crave lamb this is the spot. Their lamb hot pot so delicious a bit pricey but well worth it.

I read reviews about this place and there a lot of 4 and 5 stars with very little of negative comments from people that don't even leave pictures of what they've ordered. People that live near Veteran Memorial North Houston please stop complaining about this place. You don't know what you miss out. I'm from Seattle and on business trip found this place nearby the hotel I stayed in on 1960 and blown away how good their Goat dishes " Mon De". I ordered De xao lan and De hap both dishes are delicious can't find a comparable place in Seattle. If you like Goat meat " De" you come to the right place to place your order what they good at. They are generous with their portion as well. De Hoang Duy keep doing a good job with your food. You've got another customer from me and I'll be back to visit and taste your awesome food when I'm back in town.

Please update your hours for your potential customers. Both Facebook and Yelp is listed as open until 10pm. We arrived at 8pm. I understand times are difficult now, but it is an absolute buzzkill. Consistency for business hours.

Called to order Togo, the guy on the phone didn't ask for what size of hotpot we wanted and hang up the phone suddenly. Called back to confirm whether they got the order right, the same guy without any greeting said " you are that hungry" then hang up the phone again. Called third time to cancel the order since they didn't want to work accordingly but no response from the restaurant

Man the place is cool . I love Vietnamese food . The service was pretty quick . The spring rolls look neat and full but they left the tails one some of my shrimp...also never experienced this before ...nice looking spring rolls with nasty tails and some of the vermicelli inside was hard. My only other issue is I ordered a Vietnamese coffee ....and they gave me half a cup of my drink . I was told that that's how Vietnamese coffees come but idk I've ordered many Vietnamese coffees before and never received no half a cup of anything ...like literally you could see the ice and the second half of my cup before you could see the coffee . I asked them to fill my cup ...he didn't cover the ice but it was more than I initially received . Food is okay but I won't be returning .

Ordered to go and paid 3 items for weekend gathering with friends. Came home later found out that they gave us only 2 items. Called and politely asked them but they tried to deny and kept saying it's impossible . We didn't ask for the missing item give to us or a refund but they seemed to argued back that's not their fault. Not very smart and professional. Because of your unacceptable and unprofessional business, you just lost a customer. Because of one $15 worth item, you will lose hundred of dollars from me, my family and friends. That's why I just said above that you're not smart and unprofessional. Note to other customers that decide to come to this restaurant: Foods are not that good in general. You won't see more than 3 or 4 customers in this restaurant during the weekend (weekdays even worse). Ask yourself a question WHY. So what happened to the foods that they bought, throw away or keep them?

Bun bo hue here is so very good. The broth has the perfect level of spice and the the meats are very good. The blood cake depends on the day, I have had very good one and sometimes it doesn't taste quite as fresh but still good. The spring rolls here taste fresh and the peanut sauce is good. I see a lot of people get the hot pot here and it always looks delicious.

Best goat hotpot in town. The broth tastes really nice. The only linmit is that there are not various kinds of vegetables and goat meat is not much for a medium size. Tofu was super great when dipping it to the brown sauce. We 3 ordered a medium size and we walked out perfectly full. Though its quite far from South West area but definitely will come back when craving for Goat meat hotpot!!!

One of the only two vietnamese restaurant in Houston that serve goat hotpot. And it sure is yummy, reminded me of Vietnam. For my dad , who is the pickiest eater in the world, he really like this place, the goat meat is tender, well seasoned and doesn't smell gamey ( don't we all hate that smell. So highly recommended the goat dishes here.

Today I bought a beef stew to go but when I got home, realized I got a tendons stew in stead. I came back and complained but they took the man in the kitchen's word over mine. Make sure what you are getting accordingly.

If you want TOILET WATER, definitely come here. The broth has NO flavor. TERRIBLE. Will NEVER come back. DONT COME HERE. They also would not refund my ass water pho. I didn't even eat it. They still charged me after I told them I was extremely dissatisfied. This place is a shit hole with garbage food.

The De Rua Man (Stewed goat served with Rice Noodles) Is fantastic. It is a little on the greasy side, but pairs perfect with the lightness of the rice noodles. Definitely opened my eyes to a different side of Vietnamese cuisine. Must try if you're in the area.

Worst place ever! Stopped by on Sunday to get some food to go and I got some moldy untoasted bread! I didn't even want to eat any of the food I ordered.. barf!
