There are restaurants you visit — and those you truly experience. De Managerie in Bruges is unmistakably the latter. In its intimate, elegantly understated dining room, a menu unfolds that not only justifies its Michelin star but celebrates it with every single bite. We chose the four-course menu, and after the very first dish it was clear: this is a kitchen led by someone who not only masters technique but understands how to translate emotion onto the plate. It was genuinely impossible to pick a favourite. Each course carried its own character, its own delightful surprise, and each one was superb. A particular standout was the duck — cooked with absolute precision, tender and juicy, balanced by an exceptionally harmonious flavour profile. The subtle smokiness set it apart: not a gimmick, but a thoughtful, beautifully integrated note that showed how modern cuisine can shine when craftsmanship and creativity meet. Swapping plates among ourselves added an unexpected layer of joy. Every dish revealed new nuances and reinforced one thing: the team at De Managerie knows how to deliver variety without ever losing focus or consistency. The meal concluded with a dessert that was nothing short of extraordinary. Rarely have we enjoyed an ending so flawlessly executed — textures, flavours, sweetness, freshness — all in perfect harmony.

Really nice didn't give it a 5 as some of the food had the same sauce. Staff very attentive and the chef even came to sat goodbye

This has been my go-to restaurant for years, and it still manages to surprise me with creative new combinations. Chef Kristof isn’t afraid to make bold decisions, and they consistently turn into outstanding dishes. Els guides you through the experience with warmth and ease, making you feel completely at home. Her wine expertise shines through in the perfectly curated pairings that elevate the cuisine even further.

Very cosy atmosphere and charming place. Attentive and very friendly staff, good recommendations and knowledge about the menu, dishes etc. I could try the wines by the glass to check if they would match my taste. The red Pinot noir like from Alto Adige was a good match to the Vitello. For the rest I got good recommendations on what beer I should Taste with the dishes. As only in Belgium you get beer pairing recommendations, I decided to enjoy this. Each dish was tasty and we did not need any salt not pepper, a perfect elegant and extraordinary variety of tastes. We had the menu with best of last 20 year signature dishes. Thank you! This was our best experience in Brügger among other same rated Michelin recommendation restaurants!

You feel welcome the moment you enter this wonderful restaurant. The lady of the house is the perfect host to guide a lovely experience. We went with 7 and had a lovely culinary evening thanks to the husband and his team. Reservation needed

My partner and i went for our Valentine’s Day dinner, and the service was absolutely amazing. From being greeted at the door, to having lovely conversations & the chef even handing us our coats at the end. The staff here really do go above and beyond.

I enjoyed visiting this restaurant. What blew me away was the Hare that I had as a main. Apparently, there's only a 10 wk Hare season from mid November until early January .I highly recommend this dish. The chef takes pride in his food. My only suggestion would be that the Ramen dish is served hot and not luke warm. I personally wouldn't recommend this dish as someone who is a ramen snob! I would definitely recommend the scallops that were also delicious. Nice place and nice experience.

Undeserving 1-michelin star restaurant with very mediocre food, and not much innovation. The only dish that was above average standards was the fillet main dish, there was a good balance between savoury and sourness. However, the main course took way too long to serve! Almost 45 minutes, and the other main course which was the pigeon was so tough to chew on, and totally not worth the price! I opted for the vegetarian dish, and I remembered that they used the same dish to use as a 'sides' for the pigeon dish, to me, that is totally unacceptable for a michelin-starred restaurant. The vegetarian dish was also so-so, definitely not worth the 78 euro course meal price. Couldn't even focus on the desserts, as we were too disappointed by the end of our meal.

Delicious, fantastic, the best meal I had on my trip. It was sooooo amazing, every course was delicious. The restaurant is run by a husband and wife and they are so sweet and attentive. The husband cooks every meal as it's ordered and the wife tends to the tables. So cool! For my fellow Americans let me be very clear though that this meal will be no less than three hours long. It'll be a fantastic three hours or more but if you're fresh off a 34+ hour travel day (like we were) then you've been warned!!
