Service was prompt and our waters never went below half way. We went at 12:30 on a Saturday and sat right away. The chilaquiles and the birria Benedict were exceptional. Everything tasted fresh and flavorful! Chili oil on the Benedict is spicy! Overall great! Not too loud. No blaring music. Very easy to pass this place and it’s a shame if you do!

Google
I actually found this place through a TikTok video and I’m so glad I gave it a try! Definitely recommend making a reservation because it gets super busy, and otherwise you’ll be waiting. The staff is very friendly and attentive, which made the experience even better. The food was absolutely delicious—modernized but still tastes authentic, which is so important. I loved everything about it and will definitely be back!

Google
They call it De Poca Madre, but after eating there I think it really means De Poca Ganas — no effort in the food or service I came here for brunch at 11am and it was honestly one of the worst dining experiences I’ve ever had. We waited 50 minutes outside before being seated. Once inside, the place was extremely noisy—no music, no ambiance, just a small restaurant echoing with everyone’s conversations. The service was awful. We had to flag down multiple employees just to get basic assistance. I ordered the Café de Olla—it was cold, bitter, and so strong I had to add four half-and-half packets just to drink it. When I asked for a refill, I was told there were no refills, and we weren’t even offered water until 20 minutes later, after repeatedly asking. It took 30 minutes for the food to arrive, and when it did, it was trash. Every dish was all about presentation but had zero flavor—not the salsa, not the pico de gallo, not even the whole onions. De Poca Sabor!!! Everything was bland, lifeless, and overpriced. By noon, they were already out of French toast, which was one of the few things we wanted to try. We ordered multiple dishes to give them a fair chance (Beef Empanadas, Guacamole y Chicharron, Eggs Your Way, Arrachera y Huevos, La Gobernadora), and every single one was disappointing. What’s worse is that this place is clearly a scam built on Instagram hype. The fancy plating is meant to trick people into thinking the food is special, but it’s all for show. This place is overpriced, poorly managed, and absolutely not worth the time or money. It felt like fraud. Honestly, I wouldn’t be surprised if they went out of business soon because they are ripping people off. Everyone beware: save your money and go elsewhere.

Google
Great service, good vibe, and delicious food! Glad we gave it a try for breakfast. My friend loves the cafe de olla, so I had to try it and everything was 10/10!!

Google
Nice place to eat but food was expensive for the quality. The presentation of the food looks aswome! The taste not so much, needs more sason!

Google
Let’s be REAL on Reviews . Truth is Reservations $25 a person or wait 30-45 min. 2 hr. Time limit to order and eat and starts once you’re seated. No refills on aquas frescas or coffee. Extra anything they charge even if you want half green and red on your food. salsa. No chips or salsa or water offered . Brought my own cake and they charge $2.50 per person or no outside food . Syrup doesn’t taste like syrup , food is good. Presentation of food is great, customer service none, unless you ask for something , 18% gratuity and CA , tax charge automatically. Nice people , good food but honestly when you charge for everything even when you bring your own cake I will not be back. Customer service for more tap water would be nice, or even salsa should be accommodated when you have a party of 7.

Google
Stopped by this restaurant to grab a quick bite before my nail appointment. Very cute ambiance, cute decor. Loved the Spanish music they played. Place looks pretty clean and the hostess and waiter was very nice. The food came out promptly. I ordered the Molletes de Chorizo con huevos. The meal was pretty yummy. Lots of flavors. Pricing was 16.00 which I feel is pretty normal these days. Definitely would like to try more of their food.

Google
Mexico is a vast country that has many different regional cuisines. It’s not all refried beans and globs of melted cheese. The menu selection and quality of food here is superb. Is it different - for someone who has traveled many times to Mexico I’m going to say no it isn’t but is it new to what you’d typically find in Tex-Mex restaurant here if that’s what you like and are use to. Every dish that came out of the kitchen looked good. Portions are good, you should not leave hungry! Service is also a plus point - all staff work together - so you’re not left with waiting on one server. Atmosphere is casual yet comfortable. The live music was a nice touch! We’ll be back!

Yelp
Im going to get right to it.... Pros: great food, great service, great environment. Get the chilaquiles or the Birria Benedict. The coconut shrimp was top notch Cons: absolutely no cons

Yelp
I'm not here to sugarcoat. I share real experiences--both the delicious and the disappointing--because diners deserve the truth." After 6 years of being away from CA, we returned and found it difficult to find great customer service and great food. De Poca Madre is truly a GEM in the city of Corona. The customer service is not only personable, but has the standards of what all establishments hope to have. "Our server, Andrea was knowledgeable and attentive without being intrusive. She made great recommendations and checked in at just the right times." Based on the Empanadas , Chilaquiles, Aguas chiles, Churos ,Capirotada, Mimosas , Micheladas and iced coffees this establishment is very well rounded. The Mexican Fusion meals are on another level. Meals are presented nicely not greasy and absolutely delightful. Deserts too did not disappoint and the Mimosas and Michelada paired nicely with our meal. We ended our meal with a coffee , so I say with confidence a dining experience here feels truly rewarding--both in flavor and value.

Yelp
Lowkey have no idea why everyone is dogging on this spot. This restaurant was honestly one of the few "modern" Mexican spots that I've been to where the food is actually pretty good. I don't mind waiting, so the wait(about 12-15 minutes) really wasn't an issue. Our server was amicable and the staff was super sweet! However, they'd forgotten about an order of pancakes my family had made; things happen! Nonetheless, solid food and nice ambiance!

Yelp
Good brunch spot here in Corona. Small business owned and operated. The owners, Eli and Roberto including their work staff so friendly! They have a good large brunch menu selection! The Ahi Tuna Tartare, goose stuff with the crispy blue corn tostadas, yum! yum! I recommend the aqua fresca cucumber and lime flavor. Not too sweet with that lime taste. Very refreshing! Good get together brunch spot! Love the ambiance as well and the inside decor of the place. It has the modern Mexican feel to it.

Yelp
Cute hidden gem great food, drinks and service. I loved the decor! I can't wait to go back!

Yelp
This place the best chilaquiles in Corona. They have the red Chilaquiles with carne asada that they are to die for. This is my go to place for chilaquiles.
google avatar

Gina A.

Yelp
Food variety is excellent! Food taste amazing. Chilaquiles verdes or red are served to perfection and are delicious

Yelp
Visited De Poca Madre Modern Mexican Kitchen last weekend and we loved our experience. We waited approximately 15 minutes for our table (which is not bad, considering that it was a weekend at around 1215pm). The staff is very nice, helpful and efficient. We got the horchata and agua de pepino; which are served in their beautiful glasses. Their menu is very extensive; it ranges from the usual sweeter brunch items (french toast) to savory (steak & eggs), they also have appetizers to share and salads. I ordered the pambazo, which was delicious; it was generously filled with chorizo, potato, lettuce and cheese with a side of pickled carrots. Can't wait to come back to try their other items in the menu.

Yelp
My husband and I had an early optometrist appointment and were looking for something to eat for brunch. I'm not a huge brunch person because I dont really care for breakfast foods. It seems like the eggs here are popular because it was the first smell that hit me when i came in lol We got a cucumber like drink and my husband got a cafe de la olla. Both were really good and came in such cute cups! The drinks weren't too sweet and had a great taste to it. The cafe actually tasted like cafe de la olla not some powdered drink or white washed drink. The potato tacos were honestly pretty soggy for potato tacos i wish they had been crispier. Flavor just wasn't there for me. My husband got the Torta, and honestly it was good just a little oily. I will say the main reason I'm giving this place a 4 star rating is their fries. If i need any reason to come back here it's that. I don't think I've ever had such good fries at a restaurant. They were perfectly crispy and had a good seasoning to them. If they did something like loaded fries with those fries, I'd be here every week getting my order in! So definitely a cute spot, I'm not saying it's bad because honestly, it's a brunch place and i didn't get the chance to try their breakfast food. I'm sure that it's good since everyone was ordering it around me.

Yelp
The chilaquiles was very good. The service was great and the ambiance was so cute. Definitely recommend for brunch & drinks!

Yelp
It was Saturday, 10am and not busy. I was greeted by a nice young lady and got sat. I was a party of one and I waited. Then I waited some more. Five minutes passed and still was not addressed after the hostess sat me. There was a conversation being had by three employees about weekend plans. Still, I waited 5 more minutes. I noticed another party of one get sat. Then, wow! He got immediate service. Good for him. While 10 minutes have passed by and still no acknowledgement. I got up, told the hostess about the unfortunate experience. She apologized and I went about my way. About 11 minutes of my life I will never get back. I will never go back here again. I work too hard for my money to give it to an establishment that doesn't value customer service.
google avatar

Veronica A.

Yelp
Not the best but not the worst. Very small crew working seems possibly woman owned and all very sweet, but not very fast service. Food was subpar. We had the guac with chicharrons which had good flavor but the normal tortilla chips were just very greasy tasting. We also had two orders of chilaquiles red and green sauce with a few tacos. To be honest the tacos were very dry (pastor, asada and birria). Although food presentation looks great the flavors just don't follow it. Ambiance is more for just pictures.
google avatar

Bryan G.

Yelp
My friends put me on to this restaurant, their brunch here is outstanding. I order the same thing everything, the chilaquiles rojo's with carne asada are the best chilaquiles I've ever had. I come here everytime I'm around the area!
google avatar

K K.

Yelp
Came here for brunch. I love their guacamole flight with freshly made chicarrones and chips. They have both American and Mexican dishes to choose from. I think the Mexican flavors are pretty good and the servers are nice. I would come here again.
google avatar

Yelp
Food was good, service was mid. We made a reservation and that was fine. Our table was ready for us when we arrived. We were greeted and our server took our orders but nothing about the service stands out at all. I'd say this is a good place to eat if you don't want your server to talk to you lol. It wasn't bad service it just wasn't good, if that makes sense!

Yelp
I'm so glad I gave this place another chance after my initial visit where I was unimpressed. De Poca Madre has become my family's favorite BRUNCH spot! We have eaten here 3 times thus far and have never been disappointed. Our favorite dishes are: -birria benedict -huevos divorciados -la crepa -chilaquiles Their beverages are also so good! My husband always gets the cafe de olla and I always get their aguas frescas: horchata and cucumber limon. This place is also family friendly which is a huge plus! We went recently and there were young kids at almost every table. The music is the perfect volume and the seating arrangement allows for strollers. They also have outdoor seating (not always). Plus, their customer service has always been so warm and kind. We will continue being regulars!
google avatar

Yelp
Came here for a lunch with the Mrs. And it didn't disappoint. Beautiful interior, really cool looking menus, and amazing vegan (and non vegan) options. We had the vegan tostadas, the guacamole and chips, and the tacos. Honestly, let too full but man it was good. Service was prompt and friendly. Really good atmosphere and I would highly recommend giving this place a shot!

Yelp
This is the first negative review I ever leave on Yelp, but it was absolutely warranted. I visited this restaurant this morning with my family for breakfast. I was in a hurry to get in and out because I had other commitments. I ordered a steak medium-rare. We were the only party at the time, and everyone else's orders were done and ready to leave. However, the food preparation process was incredibly slow, and I had to leave to avoid waiting any longer. I asked my family to inform the staff that I no longer wanted my order because I wouldn't be able to eat it fresh. One of the employees came out and started lecturing my family about how the order was placed and that we had to pay regardless. They even argued that they hadn't taken that long. However, regardless of their claims, if we inform them that we no longer want the food and it hasn't been touched or served to us, they have no right to force us to pay for it. We don't want it if we don't want it, and that's final. Ultimately my wife payed for the food because she didn't want to argue with the staff any longer. This restaurant is a complete joke; they have absolutely no customer service. I am deeply embarrassed for this establishment and how they treat their customers. I strongly advise everyone to stay far away from this restaurant. They have no respect for their customers.
google avatar

Yelp
De Poca Madre Modern Mexican restaurant is indeed modern with a very interesting menu, a fusion of American and Mexican dishes. I liked its interior decoration as soon as I walked in. Its table arrangement is interesting too, with ample space between tables for conversations. I ordered the burrata salad which looks amazing and delicious. Presentation of the choribeef burger is stunning too. Service here is adequate but not too notch. Considering it only has one person serving all the tables, she is likely doing the best she can.
google avatar

Katie C.

Yelp
Cute aesthetics and staff is friendly. The wait is long on weekend during brunch, be ready to wait. There are areas that have some shade near the restaurant. Low rating as food was not the best but It is plated well. Came here for the Bottomless Mimosa, server does come by and refill your mimosa quickly. Ahi Tuna Tartare- Lemon foam was much and flavorless, must have been used for decor. Rice crisps texture was too thin to pick up anything and wasn't much of a bite to it. Dish over all wasn't coherent, things didn't pair well. Huevos Divorciados- wasn't too bad, chorizo wasn't too greasy. Guacamole Y Chicharron- They ran out of chicharron that day and we opted to add in Pork Belly Bites. It wasn't as flavorful as we prefer it to be.
google avatar

Cindy A.

Yelp
Just like everyone else says- grab the chilaquiles with eggs! The best in the neighborhood! Service can be a bit slower than most places but it's a vibe. Sit, stay, eat and enjoy the nice decor with your amigas!
google avatar

Jessica G.

Yelp
Great atmosphere, good food, great people. I tried it for the first time and I was surprised at how good the food was and the presentation they had.
google avatar

Tanya C.

Yelp
Nice local brunch spot with a large selection. Offers bottomless mimosas, too. Staff were attentive and friendly. Food was delicious. Portions were large.
google avatar

Viviana S.

Yelp
Food was great i love the ambience of this place. The service was excellent!!! Abraham was our server and he is amazing. Would rate this place 10/10.

Shyla M.

Yelp
I placed an order for pickup and had a very disappointing experience. When I arrived at my scheduled pickup time, the chefs told me they had never received my order. I had to come back over 50 minutes later (she said 30), and even then my order was incorrect. I ended up waiting again for the chef to fix it, and by that point I was so over the experience that when I finally got my food I didn't check it and just went home. Unfortunately, when I got home, my order was still wrong. Throughout the whole process, the only response I received was "sorry" due to their new ordering system--no real effort to accommodate or make things right. Based on this experience, I would not recommend ordering takeout here. If anything, this restaurant should stick to dine-in only, because their takeout process is a mess. I gave 3 stars because their dine in service and food is good.
google avatar

Nayeli B.

Yelp
Not fresh guacamole and a very small serving of pork belly. Not worth the $25 This is not carne en su jugo. This felt more like reheated beans with meat. It didn't have any of what makes carne en su jugo. No broth, no bacon, no green onion, no yellow pepper. A huge disappointment. Definitely not worth the $25. Would not recommend it.

Alison G.

Yelp
We had excellent service & food! Really inventive menu and completely unique. Breakfast & lunch only
google avatar

Monica B.

Yelp
Been here multiple times now. Tried the steak chilaquiles, Nutella French toast, café de la olla, sopes ... all delicious . Service is good and ambiance is sweet. I definitely recommend for breakfast.
google avatar

Trina C.

Yelp
This place is in the corner of a small shopping center. It is not very big inside. The decor was cute. Defiantly a place to go on a girls brunch date. I would like to share that the service was exceptional. Everyone was very friendly throughout our whole visit. This is defiantly a plus in my books. They have a few tv's inside which display the creation of what they cook. We sat in the back which is close to the kitchen there is not much air circulation in the back I would not recommend this area. Now the good part. The food was ok. The presentation was beautiful but the food was plane. Maybe this was the chef intention. However I don't care for food that doesn't have a lot of flavor or seasoning. My son ordered an horchata which he raved was the best he ever hard. My mimosa was poured great. My youngest had a kids pancake meal and he loved it. Especially with the fresh fruit on top. The salsa was great. They made a oil Chili which was very good and a great amount of spice. I would not recommend any item with birria. Other than that is was a good experience.

Rosa A.

Yelp
Great food and drinks... breakfast brunch specialty... good chilaquiles It's not close enough or we would go more often
google avatar

Gabriela F.

Yelp
The host and the waitress were very helpful & kind. The chilaquiles were delicious & so was the ague de piña con cucumber. Also whoever was the dj that day had a good playlist lol so the ambiance was definitely there!
google avatar

Theresa M.

Yelp
We've been here several times before. My family enjoyed the food here. Then they started leaving glassed bottled waters on the table for you to purchase- which was weird. It cost more than a soda. Ambiance- it's ok. A place with fake flowers on the wall as a backdrop isn't really my vibe- but to each their own. Service- ok. Isn't spectacular, but really can't complain. Anyways, I ordered the chilequiles without protein. The server asked which protein I'd like and I declined- she said it comes with it. So I chose steak. Ok why was the steak spoiled?! Yes spoiled tasting. I had my husband taste it and he said it was spoiled too. I cook- a lot at home, so I knew it tasted funky. I just stopped eating it and left it. No wonder they made me choose a protein. They wanted to get rid of it. Fluke? I hope so. But I won't be coming back. Sucks for the neighborhood because there isn't good food around here.
google avatar

Alfred R.

Yelp
If I could give them no stars I would. Horrible service. After waiting for about an hour to be seated the first thing the server tells us is that they are out of French toast and iced coffee, the only thing I was going to order. We decided to stay because my wife wanted to try the chilaquiles with carne asada. We decided to share them since they didn't have the French toast I wanted. The serve tell us with a attitude that there will be a up charge for sharing. Really! The only reason we are sharing is because you guys are out of French toast. We got the chilaquiles with 6 tiny pieces of what appeared to be carne asada and almost a whole purple onion. The chilaquiles were disgusting. Please stay away from this place at all cost. There are way better. Brunch spots in Corona.
google avatar

Ricardo A.

Yelp
Food was great and even my parents love the food. I had the chilequles and they were great.
google avatar

John F.

Yelp
Upon arrival, to a half filled restaurant, I was quoted 20 min. OK, I can wait. From a diner's perspective, place is one third full. Why such a long wait? Two servers were doing everything from hostess, bussing, and tending bar for drinks. As I sat, another 10 min waiting to be greeted at table by anyone. Now, what tables were being used, 1/2 were still dirty. My instinct is to get up and clean all 6 tables and a quick sweep in 10 min max. (Restaurants fail due to poor management.) My server was genuine and kind. (But overwhelmed) I ordered Menudo and it took about 15 min to get. No worries there... still staring at dirty tables. Food was great My server did her best; left 40% tip. Owners: You have been open for 2 years. Hire more people, and it will pay for itself. Stop being penny smart and dollar foolish. Look at the big picture for survival. Just a customers perspective with 20+ years of running restaurants, yes, even ownership.
google avatar

Sandy P.

Yelp
Came here for the first time to have brunch. Cute little spot. Perfect place for a girls brunch. Can't speak too much on their food as this was our first time. We order their chicharron and guac appetizer and that was delicious. As my main dish, I ordered the steak, eggs and potatoes. The steak was a little dry and needed more flavor. Also, I wished the potatoes were more crispy. Overall, i would def give this place another try as their drink menu looks good.
google avatar

Saraj W.

Yelp
Went there on Tuesday April 22. Right away some in our party noticed a sewer smell inside. We were seated and it took 10 mins before we even got our waters. We ordered and I ordered all dressing on the side for my salad ($21!!!!) It FINALLY came 30 mins later and my was heavily dressed in salad aoili. I had to ask for it to be redone with no sauce. 30 Mins later (literally my group was done eating) I had to chase down waitress and ask her to cancel my salad because it was taking too long. She said they hadn't started making it yet! My god it was a plain salad! I had to again chase someone down to get our bill. 10 mins later we got it and they had not removed the salad that I never received. I asked to have it removed and the waitress was so annoyed with me! We all said we would never go again. Terrible service and semi- decent food that is overpriced!

Mario O.

Yelp
Ordered the green salsa chilaquiles and huevos con chorizo. The chilaquiles were crunchy, but the salsa was way too tangy and it didn't help that it also had picked onions. Nevertheless, they were still pretty good. The huevos con chorizo were also pretty good but the potatoes that came with them were pretty bland and needed seasoning. Service was very good, our server constantly checked up on us. Overall, my experience here was okay.
google avatar

Jennifer D.

Yelp
Tried this spot out cause I wanted some chilaquiles. It did not disappoint. I got the birria and green sauce, very good! Nice size portion too. My friend got the huevos divorciados, it was really good as well. Good service and good food, I will be back! Just wished they gave out chips and salsa.
google avatar

Michelle T.

Yelp
Incredible food, fun ambiance and excellent service. Will come here as often as I can for breakfast, brunch and lunch!

Sebastian P.

Yelp
De Poca Madre never disappoints. Anytime I bite into their delicious chilaquiles or any of their dishes, I am met with an array of authentic flavors and passion. The ambiance is also a plus and anytime I bring friends, they always complement it. The staff is always a pleasure and I can't wait to continue trying more dishes as you all should as well!
google avatar

Katherine P.

Yelp
Small but beautifully decorated! The energy from the staff is so positive. Our waitress was great. For the appetizer, we had the esquite and the chicharron with guacamole. The esquite was very flavorful, but it definitely needed more cheese. For the chicharron with guacamole we added pork belly. The chicharron and guacamole were DELICIOUS, but the pork belly is not pork belly lol. It is straight ham. Did not pair well. So if you order this appetizer, stick to the chicharron with guac. For our entrees, I had the green carne asada chilaquiles and my son had the Nutella French toast. My son said his dish was a 5 star rating. He could not stop talking about how delicious it was. My chilaquiles were very good. The only thing I will say is that it had way too much sauce. Kind of overpowering but tasted very good. We will definitely come back. Also, this is the cutest spot to have a girls brunch date with mimosas!!!
google avatar

Joe R.

Yelp
Food was great. However was warned about the service when they set us down servers took a while to come take our drink order. Upon ordering drinks we did not received them until after our food came out. Was not that busy under wise I understand. Will try again hopefully better experience

Alicia G.

Yelp
Amazing service and the food was great, Leslie was very attentive, sweet, and helpful I will definitely be back!

Nicholas Q.

Yelp
Food is good, however service left me a bad taste to which I will never come here again. Service is just terrible. My party was a total of 3 I was told it was going to be a 20 minute wait, I had suggested if I could get a reservation and let the manager know that my party would arrive exactly at 12:30. Mind you I had this conversation at 11:20. They had said no due to policy that they can't hold tables. Which is dumb... I was told that I could come at 12:10-12:20 and could wait for 20 minutes to be seated. Which I said yes and didn't mind. I waited in the parking lot, arrived at 12:10 just to be told that I would need to wait 45 minutes and was not honored my 20 minute wait. All in all I will never eat at this place again, or would recommend it to anyone, I will not give a place money if they didn't treat a customer correctly.
google avatar

Anahi P.

Yelp
Came here to try it with my colleague. She highly recommend it since our company had hosted our anual driver meeting breakfast in the past. I enjoyed their handmade tortillas, the arrachera tacos, their birria tacos are good! I was not a fan of their chicken al pastor but overall their food tasted fresh. The place is rather small but they have great service and they are attentive with you no matter how busy they may be. I loved the decor, very modern Mexican style. I'll definitely come back to try their chilaquiles which I heard were great.

Yelp
We've been coming to this restaurant regularly because we love the chilaquiles plate--I always order mine with steak and it's always been great. That consistency and quality is exactly why we've kept coming back. Unfortunately, today was a completely different experience. I ordered my usual, but the steak smelled and tasted off--definitely not fresh. The chef came out and was kind enough to speak with us, and he mentioned that the steak was from yesterday and had already been served to 30-40 people. While I appreciated him taking the time to talk to us, both my wife and I could tell something was wrong with the meat. We know what this dish normally tastes like. To make things worse, we were still charged the extra $7 for the steak, despite the issue. I get that $7 isn't much, but as a loyal customer who's never had a complaint until now, it left a bad impression. Sadly, after today's experience, we won't be returning.

Yelp
I normally don't give reviews under 3 stars but the restaurant staff has to do better. I'll start with the positive; the overall ambiance/vibe is cute, the decor is welcoming. Their pepino/cucumber agua is refreshing and tasty. The coconut shrimp and fries are delicious. The Aguachile de Camaron appetizer was a bit salty but tasty. Feedback on customer service: my sister made reservations at 12pm for party of 7. After waiting for an hour, we were served our drinks and appetizers. We noticed a family of 7 walked in after we did and they were pretty much done with their food, while we're still waiting on ours. Not 1 staff member came by to ask if we wanted anything else to drink, or provided us with an update on when we should expect our food. Overall, the food was ok but because of the customer service and extremely long wait time - we will not be coming back to this restaurant. Hoping this feedback along with others who have left a similar reviews helps improve the overall customer service.

Yelp
Trendy Mexican based breakfast, the staff was super friendly, and the decor was very cool. I tried the Birria Benedict, which was actually pretty good. It was almost like a sope w birria and topped with an egg. The French toast was also very good, overall great place to have brunch. Check out some photos below. I'll be back to try more food.
