Awesome experience and great service and atmosphere. The food was amazing. Make sure you grab a t-shirt while you're there.They also have a store connected to a restaurant so you can buy and take home and pig out.

A group of us decided to go to Deanies on Good Friday. Parking can be a problem at busy times but there are additional lots available on the side and across the street from the restaurant. There was a large crowd waiting to get in, of course, but staff did an excellent job in moving down the list. Note: everyone in the party must be present before they seat you. You will be asked to wait until everyone is present for the hostess. All the food came out fresh, hot, and delicious. I loved that instead of bread, Deanies serves boil potatoes from the seafood boil and butter. The blue crabs and crawfish were nicely seasoned but not too spicy. Our server was friendly and checked on us throughout our meal. There are dessert options, and we shared because we were stuffed. Overall a great time.

Their craw fish is excellent always. To avoid wait time, we have lunch at the bar, with 5 pounds of crawfish and local draft beers. Everything is good just like before except for you don’t Abita on tap available anymore. Overall, one of my favorite Cajun seafood in New Orleans.

My boyfriend and I stopped in yesterday for lunch. Felicia our waitress was wonderful! Provided quick and attentive service with humor and a fun personality! The food was fresh, homemade and delicious! From the potatoes to our seafood dishes. We will be back again soon and more often!

Worth the wait. As with most places, staff was short but all of them pitched in to make customers feel welcomed. We didn't mind the wait because we had a lot to talk about☺️We were a party of 5 and enjoyed meeting after years of separation because of retirement, moves to different states and jobs.

Deanie's in BUCKTOWN baby!!!! This is THE place for the best and biggest seafood platter in the greater New Orleans area. Whenever anybody comes in to visit, this is the first place we go. This is our family's go-to place for an after church gospel feast!! And has been for decades!! We love this place!! (This was Momma / YaYa's Favorite place and our too!!) Deanie's Rules!! So do those crawfish balls!!

Second time visiting and I was still pleased! Sat at the bar this time and had excellent service. The red potatoes as an appetizer had the perfect amount of spice to them. I tried the crab balls which were delicious and fried well. For entrees we had the fried shrimp and Fries and the fried soft crab with dirty rice. Everything tastes wonderful!

Some hits and lots of misses. Mushroom are delish. My family like the shrimp platter. The shrimp wedge salad (pictured) is very sad. The shrimp are very overcooked and the rémoulade has too much the mustard. Service was mid as well, waiter has a way of making you feel bad for expecting good service. He told us that he would wait on us to order and that his other table would be mad.
