Dean’s Chicken and Seafood

We ordered chicken tenders and fries through the website for pick up. Portions were huge and the restaurant offers a wide variety of sauces, though there is a $1 up charge for some flavors. The chicken was chunks of chicken breasts, not true chicken tenders, covered in a thick, crunchy batter. Not a big issue, but customers should be aware what they are paying for here. The fries were those battered kind you’ll find offered in a lot of restaurants. I am not a fan and prefer my French fries to taste like potatoes instead of whatever these are covered in. We ordered sides of cheese sauce for our fries and they served us a white cheese sauce. The food was hot and ready when we arrived to pick it up. In my opinion, the restaurant serves very poor quality food. The “tenders” taste of nothing, and the batter overwhelms the chicken. The French fries I previously mentioned I disliked. It is apparent that neither of these items are prepared fresh but merely frozen products the restaurant is dropping in their fryers. A tip was automatically added to our order, as was an “online order fee.” Our total for two orders of “tenders” and a large fry came to $44. The employee who handed us our bag was pleasant. Can’t recommend this restaurant and I won’t be trying anything else on the menu, as I expect it to be of similar poor quality.

All I can say is WOW! Ordered grilled chicken salad and sweet potato fries for take out. Without a doubt, the most fresh, moist chicken I’ve ever had in my life. The greens, carrots and tomatoes were from the garden delicious. Sweet potato fries were dense and cooked to perfection. Dean’s is a definite must try!

Amazing Chicken Sandwich! We tried the “Dean’s Hot” and the “Charlie” and both were so good. This was our first time and couldn’t believe we waited so long. The fries were really good too. I’m really picky about fries and these were crisp and tasty. I’ve been complaining that we don’t have a Popeye’s or Chick-Fil-A in Doylestown but we don’t need them with Dean’s. It’s honestly better than either of those. The chicken was thick and cooked perfectly, and the sandwiches were so flavorful. Thanks for a delicious meal. We’ll definitely be back.

Top notch! The sandwich that one of the staff recommended me, I’ve asked for her opinion by the way and which one is her favorite…it was Keanu….not reeves lol 😂 If I were to reference Matrix…I would say the scene they had with one of the agents who was eating the steak and how he have described his steak I did got myself an order of their New England clam chowder. The sandwich came out good and crispy. The French fries were good as well! Those pickles were nice and crunchy. Highly recommend and would come back for other offerings they have on their menu

A truly exceptional restaurant in Doylestown that you must try. I write a lot of reviews and eat a lot food. I wish there was an option to go higher than 5 stars when an establishment deserves it. Deans is one of those places that is above and beyond. I stopped in with my daughter on a Saturday to get a quick bite to eat. There are beautiful red cushion seats and the staff was kind and courteous. But what you really need to know is that the chicken is phenomenal. My daughter loved her chicken tenders. My Nashville hot sandwich was in the top 3 chicken sandwiches I have ever had. I just wish they gave more than one napkin per person... Highly recommended!

A lot of people in my circle have been raving about Dean's Chicken Sandwich. So after months of putting it off, I finally made the trip. Maria our server was very sweet. The menu is simple enough, and all the descriptions made me want to order everything. I ordered the Dean's Hot, which came with the most amazing order of French fries, and at that, a good amount as well, with extra pickles on the side. The chicken sandwich was amongst the biggest I've seen, and the flavor was amazing. Warning, the sauce can get pretty spicy so you can order the sauce on the side. I'm curious about their other menu items, so I might have to come back again in the near future. Dean's gets one of my rare 5 stars. I could have eaten 3 of their platters, just couldn't afford it lol Update: Tried the Keanu this time. Was not a fan. Had to take off a star. I definitely recommend staying with the Dean's Hot.

The best fried chicken sandwich I've ever had -- and yes, I've been to Nashville! Great flavor, crunch, juicy inside and huge portion! So happy to have this right in Doylestown.

The best manhattan clam chowder I’ve ever had. The New England is also extremely good, just I’m more a tomato base gal. Chicken sandwiches are legit and the specials are always fun and delicious. The team have been in the food biz for a long time and know what they are doing. If you are a fan of the crosskeys diner you are sure to love Dean’s too!

Amazing experience overall! The guacamole and chicken sandwich was a top 5 ever for me, the fries were perfect, the grilled chicken was outstanding, and the banana pudding was perfect. Every town needs a Dean's. The only change is that I would take the mac and cheese off the menu. It wasn't good at all. But literally everything else was perfect. Thank you!!

The chicken sandwich I will be dreaming about! The chicken is cooked perfectly, crispy, tender and moist. There are two pieces of chicken on the sandwich which is a bit too much for me, but a good problem to have. I removed of the pieces of chicken and ate the sandwich like that. I took the other piece home for leftovers. The fries are great and so crispy. The only reason I'm rating this a 4 is because I didn't love the fried pickles. They were over battered and greasy. If they used a different batter so it wasn't as thick, it would be better.

Such a great experience. We are huge Ween fans. It was a pleasant surprise to see Ween Posters and learn that the name is related as well. Nick was a wonderfully attentive server. The food was so good. I loved my hand breaded coconut shrimp. My husband had a deliciously messy chicken sandwich. The fries were also very crispy and perfectly seasoned. We will be going back ASAP.

I had a tasty lunch at Dean's yesterday. Of course, the fried chicken sandwich was on the top of my list to order. You can have your chicken either fried, grilled, or blackened. It was two large tender pieces of chicken on a round bun with more fries than you could eat. The chicken was very tender pieces of breast. I also had the Butter Nut Squash soup which was outstanding. Very delicious. There were a lot of people eating at Dean's so you know the word has gotten around about how good the food is. Check out their menu which offers a nice variety of chicken offerings. The waitresses were extremely polite and efficient. Dean's atmosphere was pleasant. Plenty of parking as there are other businesses in this shopping center. Prices were reasonable.. Large chicken sandwich with fries, soup, and drink was $18.00 which is the going rate for lunch these days. If you are hungry you will not leave feeling you did not have enough to eat. I enjoyed my lunch. Try Dean's. I think you will enjoy eating there as well.

Great food, the chicken is amazing and the size for the money is spot on. We both agreed this is the best fried chicken in the Doylestown area. Eat in or take out, can't go wrong either way.

Visited for the first time today. Only positive was the staff. They are great. Food....not so great. I ordered the Dee special. It came with a small amount of fries (you could see the bottom of the take out container bc the portion was that small), one small chicken tender cut up (that was dry) and about a 1/2 pickle fried. Very disappointed. My son got the Caesar salad with blackened chicken. It was soo seasoned and spicy that he could not enjoy it. It was a nice size chicken breast though. On top of a bed of lettuce. Nothing special. Will not be going back. Total waste of $40.

Tried Deans tonight and they have a forever customer ! The chicken was super flavourful and juicy. A great serving of fries as well! I've tried other places in town and they don't even compare !

Dean's is a perfect Sunday brunch lunch spot if you are craving a really good thick crispy fried chicken this place will deliver a satisfying meal.

A new favorite for us. First my kids love the Chicken fingers, Lobster rolls and Mac and Cheese. They are so nice, especially the super friendly lady (owner?) who is often working the register. She makes every guest feel like an old family friend. Chicken fingers are really big and fresh with just the right amount of spice. the lobster rolls have lots of lobster and are great.

This place had a sit down area towards the back, but also had a lot of people getting take outs. It kept the same layout and system as the previous restaurant. No online ordering system yet. Food was really good! Thick pieces of chicken tenders in the sandwich with a nice crisp on the breading. Will be going back to check out the blackened chicken sandwich!

Really good! We've tried this for takeout and eat-in. The hot chicken sandwich is suitably spicy. We've also tried the shrimp po' boy in addition to different chicken sandwiches. The portions are very generous, to the point that even my "human grocery disposal" teenagers couldn't finish in one go! Definitely a small business worth supporting.
