Long live Dean’s! I had the distinct honor of drinking the first pint of Guinness served on opening day, and I can confirm it is indeed a perfect pour. This is a pub to fall in love with. Having only two beers on tap - Guinness and Old Speckled Hen, naturally - is a blessedly refreshing counter to the quantity over quality offerings found at most bars. Perhaps most amazing is the brilliantly delicious take on traditional British pub fare, a cuisine I’ve long loved but have never seen elevated to such great heights. I look forward to trying every single item on future visits. With handwritten menus, pewter steins holding cutlery, tapered candles at every seat, plenty of mirrors, a great big wall of windows, and an overall charming blend of wood, tile, and glass, Dean’s feels like an evolution of the British pub in every best sense of the word. Cheers.
