This was our first proper meal after landing in Lisbon, and it did not disappoint! The food was delicious with a modern twist — all the flavors came together perfectly, like a little symphony on the plate. The egg was perfectly runny, just how I like it. 🍳🥓 The location is also a big plus — we were lucky to get a spot on the balcony and watch the trams go by while we ate. 🚊 A great start to our Lisbon experience! 🤩

Google
I visited Dear Breakfast - Chiado in April. I ordered the Eggs Benedict with a latte, to say I was amazed at how tasty it was would be an understatement! I would definitely recommend this spot to anyone visiting Lisbon. We arrived mid morning without a booking (group of 4) and were seated almost instantly, it did however get packed soon after we arrived. A great way to view the Lisbon trams as a line is right outside. Great location!

Sunday morning breakfast was phenomenal! We had the Detox Juice, Caramel Pancakes, a breakfast sandwich, and avacado toast and everything was SUPERB! We did have to wait about 5-10 minutes, but it was well worth it. The staff was attentive, not annoying, and welcoming. I almost bought a croissant bar but we’re doing a lot more traveling and I wouldn’t have had space to pack it, but next time! Highly recommend trying Dear Breakfast.

📝 I had Sunday brunch at this place and it was an overall positive experience, although some things should really be improved - see details below. 🍴 Food and coffee/drinks were flawless. Portions were abundant and all was very tasty: this part of the experience went very well. I found the menu pretty varied and it gave different options for combos. 📍 Location is great, in the very center of Lisbon. This place has a nice vibe but our table was facing a big window, which made for good views of the street but it got VERY hot where we were seated, and there was neither air conditioning nor ventilation towards us... It was not pleasant, we suffered a bit. ☝🏼 Service was overall polite but it always felt a bit in a hurry and stressed.. the opposite of what a Sunday brunch should be.

Dear Breakfast in Chiado is an absolute gem — the kind of place that makes you want to linger a little longer. The interior is beautifully designed: minimalist, elegant, and full of natural light, with a calm, relaxed vibe that’s perfect for a slow morning. The menu is creative yet comforting. I had one of the best avocado toasts I’ve ever tasted, and the eggs were perfectly cooked. Their coffee is also top-tier — rich, smooth, and beautifully served. The service was warm and welcoming, even when the place was buzzing. If you’re in Lisbon and looking for a chic brunch spot with great food, aesthetics, and atmosphere, this is the one. It lives up to the hype — and then some.

Google
We enjoyed this cafe for breakfast. We were able to walk right in and get a table, had attentive service and food was very good. We had the brunch special and the avocado toast and both were filling and delicious. The smoothie and the latte were very nicely made.

Google
Very good breakfast/brunch options! Good portions, tasty, the place is also nice and friendly staff. Just it took forever to get our coffee, both times we ordered. But we 100% recommend it!

Yelp
Highly deserved 5 stars for many reasons: 1. The Breakfast Set is a steal at $15 -Matcha Latte -Juice/Smoothie or Coffee -Granola Parfait -Two eggs however you want -Toast -Croissant or Pain Au Chocolat 2. The taste of matched the appearance, divine and delightful. 3. The waitstaff was so nice when it came to taking care of our luggage 4. The atmosphere on the second floor was perfect for photography

Yelp
We loved it! We were in need of a breakfast with eggs and Dear Breakfast did not disappoint. We waited in line outside for about 20 minutes before we were seated inside. As we had studied the menu beforehand, we knew what we were going to have so when the waiter came by, we ordered our drinks and our breakfast. We had: - Flat White Coffee - Americano Coffee - Fresh Squeezed Orange Juice - Pistachio Croissant - Omelet with Sourdough Toast The entire breakfast was excellent. All hot food and drinks served hot as well. We would eat here again and can recommend it to others.

Yelp
Dear Breakfast offers a solid selection of brunch and breakfast dishes, with the food being the highlight of my visits. I tried the egg sandwich, and the eggs were cooked perfectly--simple yet satisfying. However, my experience was dampened by the service. On both occasions, the staff were not as friendly as I would have hoped, which left a bit of a sour note. Additionally, the coffee wasn't quite hot enough and lacked that needed caffeine kick. While the food is good and worth trying if you're in Lisbon and craving brunch, the unfriendly service makes it unlikely that I'll return. If you're in the mood for a decent brunch and don't mind the staff being a bit aloof, it's worth a visit.

Yelp
Dear Breakfast is such a cute place for breakfast. We visited the one in Lisbon and I can't wait to go back there next time we visit. I ordered eggs, Potatoes and bacon with a fruit salad and tea. Everything was amazing!

Yelp
Saw multiple recommendations for this cute brunch/cafe spot in Lisbon so I knew we needed to try it! The inside is super small but the staff was friendly and able to seat us quickly! I ordered the full breakfast which included the pain au chocolat, granola (parfait), scrambled eggs, cappuccino & fresh orange juice which was a great deal!!The cappuccino had a cute design and I added some brown sugar so it was super tasty! The orange juice was refreshing and tasted so fresh! The pain au chocolat was flaky and had just enough chocolate! The eggs were cheesy and warm when they arrived which was great! The granola had a cute presentation and the amount of fruit and granola gave a nice texture to the creamy yogurt. I loved the chill vibes of the cafe and I could see myself getting brunch here often if I lived in the area

Yelp
This was our first brunch/breakfast spot in Lisbon and it was AMAZING! They have everything you could want and had great seating options. I highly recommend booking a reservation in advance so you skip the line. There were about 5-10 people waiting outside to be sat when we walked in! They have tons of yummy breakfast options, smoothies and coffee. We loved the service and it is in a great part of town. It's super easy to walk to the shopping areas around here.

Yelp
We were looking for a café in Lisbon to enjoy breakfast & found the perfect spot! The inside is small, but there are two floors, so it holds more people than you think. The second story has tables besides open windows that overlook the street view -- definitely a prime spot to sit! Staff were very friendly and helpful! All the food looked very aesthetic - but also tasted great as well! We really loved the 15€ full breakfast meal (and ordered additional coffee/pastries) to serve 2! The cappuccinos were tasty and had the cute design on top. I also appreciated the jar of brown sugar already at the table to add to my coffee! The croissants were buttery and the chocolate filling was rich! The sourdough toast paired perfectly with the scrambled eggs! Would love to know how the eggs became perfectly fluffy! The yogurt with granola was really delicious and the fruit on top was fresh. Lastly, the orange juice was very refreshing! Would love to try the pancakes next time we're in Lisbon!

Yelp
The foood was incredible! If you're searching for a light breakfast, get the Turkish Eggs. This was something I've never had anywhere else. The types of sauces they use in there are refreshing! You can taste the creaminess of the middle eastern style yogurt, fresh mint, and the pine nuts make a nice compliment to the sauce. Packed egg was cooked perfectly which added more creaminess to the sauce. Had the perfect amount of flavor all in one spoonful! Feeling like you need a healthier breakfast? The açaí bowl had such fresh ingredients. Granola was definitely homemade. The fruits added a perfect amount of sweetness. The açaí did not taste like it came out of frozen packaging and was sooo creamy and delightful! The ambiance gave me middle eastern vibes and the staff were very attentive and nice. Get yourself a Tasty Detox smoothie while you're at it.

Yelp
While in Lisbon we had to check this place out for breakfast. We waited about 30 mins which wasn't too bad. Once seated we ordered our drinks and food and it was all so lovely. Waiters were so nice and spoke: English, Spanish and of course Portuguese! Loved the ambiance service and the music!
google avatar

Yelp
The perfect eggs Benedict. Seasoned potatoes. Fresh ok. Great service. Chill ambiance. But those morning lines are brutal, especially on the weekends. Go later in the day or try a weekday.

Yelp
small corner cafe, lots of foot traffic, good for "ppl watching"...the staff is really nice, I speak a little Portuguese, but they all spoke English really well, zero language barrier! The place itself is super clean, the food is absolutely delicious and reasonably priced. My wife and I both enjoyed our food!

Yelp
Got here around 11:30am on Christmas, and I was so happy it was open! There was a bit of a wait, but we got inside pretty quickly (maybe within 5-10 min). We got seated on the first floor and it felt a bit cramped, as we had a tiny table that could barely hold all of the food we ordered. I got the cinnamon roll to start, which I wouldn't recommend since it was super dry. I also got a strawberry matcha, which was pretty good, and the egg sandwich. The egg sandwich was delicious but hard to eat, as the fillings overflowed out of the sandwich. It was also pretty heavy -- I wasn't hungry again until dinner time. We also ordered the royal and Turkish eggs. Both were decent, but be warned that the Turkish eggs are super flavorful, aka we could still taste it hours after eating the dish lol. Overall this was a good brunch but I was expecting a bit more after hearing so much about it. I would still recommend checking it out though!

Yelp
This is a super popular and somewhat viral location and it was really easy to see why. Service was super prompt and sharp, we only waited 20 minutes outside even though the long line was intimidating. We were served our food in a timely manner, coffee first, some granola yogurt, and a croissant followed by our meal. Everything was fantastic. Everything tasted fresh and like it was prepared to order, the croissant were flaky, the brunch was the perfect mix of salty and sweet. There is also set menus which we ordered that allow you to get a coffee, croissant and yogurt, and a dish for approximately 20 euro -- a type of menu that would cost close to $40 in the States. Definitely come here to have a brunch or a heavy breakfast. You won't be disappointed -- everything from the plating, the food, the service, was all five star worthy!

Yelp
Definitely a do it for the gram breakfast! You have to come for open if not you can expect an extensive wait It's such a cute eatery and feels truly like a bougie treat. My favorites were the açaí bowl and croissant. The coffee is STRONG. So keep that in mind. It's very typical American brunch. Service wasn't bad either but since it's busy they might take longer to come by!

Delaney D.

Yelp
After seeing this place everywhere online, we had high hopes! We waited on the side of the road (no other place to sit/stand while table was being prepared) for about 30 minutes before being seated which we didn't mind due to the hype. The selection was not great, and the flavors were just decent. There was nothing wrong, just didn't blow our socks off as we had hoped.

Yelp
Brunch here was phenomenal! I was most impressed with the Açaí Bowl. It was delicious! The restaurant is a bit small, but it didn't disappoint!

Yelp
This place is decent. Coming from the US I have a certain taste that I look for. The seasonings on the plates were very low, but the food was cooked to perfection.

Yelp
did not have the best experience here. service was extremely lacking. they forgot our drinks. the chai latte tasted like water even after they remade it. took us 40 minutes to order. didn't get water until after we were done eating. food was just okay. smoothie was good. gluten free bread available which is always a plus. they forgot the avocado on my bowl and tried to charge me for more. just overall a mediocre experience and don't feel the need to go back.

Yelp
Incredible doesn't even begin to describe this breakfast place. First of all, the design is clean and modern. The service is fast and the food is thoughtfully crafted. The design: the restaurant is in hilly Chiado, it is along the tram 28 line. There are two floors and we sat on the second floor. The windows overlook the picturesque street and you can frequently see tram 28 pass by. The food is served on unique plates and the flatware is slender and chic. The service: very personable service for Lisbon. We got our food quick, did not feel rushed, payment was simple. The staff wear really cool uniforms as well! The food: perfect portion of avocado toast, topped with an egg, lettuce, pickled cucumber and onions. This is all on top of a beet purée. The iced latte was the best I have had all vacation and sits among the best ever. Beautiful Robust flavor!

Yelp
Had a much needed really tasty & rejuvenating breakfast here after a long night of partying and being hungover. I will be returning whenever I'm in Lisbon again. !!

Yelp
My favorite breakfast location while visiting Lisbon . We had reservations and were easily seated even with an incomplete party. We enjoyed friendly service and a variety of food ( see pictures)

Yelp
Fun, great aesthetic, affordable, and you get a lot of food!! Our waitress was very nice and helpful as we don't speak Portuguese. Really enjoyed.

Yelp
Great stop for brunch in Lisbon! There may be a wait, but the line goes quickly. We waited maybe 10-15 min for a table for 3. This was our stop between breakfast and lunch, so we kept it light. We got mimosas, the detox (beet juice) and the avocado drink as well as carrot cake. Cake was warm and tasted amazing. All the drinks were great. Service is excellent and staff is nice.
google avatar

Rachel C.

Yelp
Wow! I can not speak highly enough about the lovely dining experience we enjoyed here. Breakfast was perfect tasting and everyone working there was bright and cheerful. Cappuccinos were so good we got a third to share :) Sparkling water was a great value and the extra cute touch of a single ice cube and lime was the cherry on top.

Yelp
Great vibes and good food! Typical brunch spot and food was tasty especially the açaí smoothie! Would def recomme

Yelp
Excellent food. Truly delicious. The servers are very nice and speak perfect English. The place is cute and there are tables for laptop users.

Yelp
Great service, food was good, medium pricing. I did enjoy the salmon breakfast. Was a bit of a wait but wasn't bad. Service was really good. Coffee was not the best.

Yelp
Charming place with lots of affordable and fresh breakfast items. Packed on a weekend but the line to get in moved fast. Get the orange juice!!

Yelp
This place is a small slice of heaven....By far the best food in Lisbon we've tried. So delicious and delicately beautiful that we left nothing on our plates. If you come here I strongly urge u to try the guac because we're Mexican but even this guacamole was by far the best I've ever had in my life The staff is also so friendly and helpful that it just makes the experience 10x better!!! If you feel like you're missing something in your life this is it. Also we all collectively decided to stop and give 5 stars so that should say something euro'21-M.D.S.

Yelp
Went on a sunny afternoon for brunch, I had their avocado toast, ahh the beets hummus was so good. If you're sitting facing the window, you're gonna see trams passing by.
google avatar

Nancy M.

Yelp
Fast service with tasty and fresh foods. We enjoyed eating breakfast here, the croissants were flaky and delicious.
google avatar

Kandace K.

Yelp
We made 3 visits here on our trip to Lisbon. The lattes were great but the avocado toast is the best Ive ever had! They have 3 locations but I like the Chiado location since it's on the 28 cable car line. Sit upstairs in the window to watch the vintage cable cars roll by.

Jack C.

Yelp
Short wait, but was expected due to lack of reservations and reputation of establishment. All the staff were friendly, happy to engage and offer suggestions. Food quality was excellent, service also. Definitely deserves the good reviews on other sites.

Olivia V.

Yelp
There is a reason this place is so popular. Staff is understanding and very kind. We loved the banana pancakes and velvet potion smoothie! Would come back

Laura B.

Yelp
Charming. Central, personable. Colorful and delicious food--wonderful! Lovely staff, innovative menu, sweet surroundings. We went twice & got different items each time--every item was just outstanding. Avocado toast w sweet vinegary cucumbers, pickled onions & beet humus a fave, my partner splurged on the full breakfast and even he had a hard time fitting it all in. Not to be missed in Lisbon!

Daisy T.

Yelp
ABSOLUTELY AMAZING SERVICE AND FOOD! The food and drinks did not disappoint. It was so good it had to be our last stop before leaving Lisbon. Wish there was a "Dear Breakfast" back in Chicago. Would definitely recommend!
