Sunday morning breakfast was phenomenal! We had the Detox Juice, Caramel Pancakes, a breakfast sandwich, and avacado toast and everything was SUPERB! We did have to wait about 5-10 minutes, but it was well worth it. The staff was attentive, not annoying, and welcoming. I almost bought a croissant bar but we’re doing a lot more traveling and I wouldn’t have had space to pack it, but next time! Highly recommend trying Dear Breakfast.

📝 I had Sunday brunch at this place and it was an overall positive experience, although some things should really be improved - see details below. 🍴 Food and coffee/drinks were flawless. Portions were abundant and all was very tasty: this part of the experience went very well. I found the menu pretty varied and it gave different options for combos. 📍 Location is great, in the very center of Lisbon. This place has a nice vibe but our table was facing a big window, which made for good views of the street but it got VERY hot where we were seated, and there was neither air conditioning nor ventilation towards us... It was not pleasant, we suffered a bit. ☝🏼 Service was overall polite but it always felt a bit in a hurry and stressed.. the opposite of what a Sunday brunch should be.

Dear Breakfast in Chiado is an absolute gem — the kind of place that makes you want to linger a little longer. The interior is beautifully designed: minimalist, elegant, and full of natural light, with a calm, relaxed vibe that’s perfect for a slow morning. The menu is creative yet comforting. I had one of the best avocado toasts I’ve ever tasted, and the eggs were perfectly cooked. Their coffee is also top-tier — rich, smooth, and beautifully served. The service was warm and welcoming, even when the place was buzzing. If you’re in Lisbon and looking for a chic brunch spot with great food, aesthetics, and atmosphere, this is the one. It lives up to the hype — and then some.

We enjoyed this cafe for breakfast. We were able to walk right in and get a table, had attentive service and food was very good. We had the brunch special and the avocado toast and both were filling and delicious. The smoothie and the latte were very nicely made.

So good! You’d miss it without the help of a map, tucked away up a curving hill side road this snug, comfy gem of a restaurant serves delicious food, yummy coffee in a relaxed atmosphere with wonderful kind servers. The Parfait and Pistachio croissant were delicious and just right for a refreshing brunch before going out to explore more. Perfect!

Stunning brunch spot would definitely recommend. The menu has something to suit everyone. I got the Turkish eggs and they were delicious, eggs perfectly poached and really good flavours. It is a quite busy spot but the environment in the cafe is not overstimulated. The service was quick and the staff were lovely. I would definitely come back here when in Lisbon again for brunch.

Dear Breakfast Chiado has a nice view and the food was actually good, with fresh ingredients and well balanced flavors but the overall experience was affected by poor service. There was a long queue, even though they reserve 40% of their seats for walk-ins—so it’s definitely better to book a reservation in advance. Unfortunately, the service was well below average. A couple of the staff seemed overwhelmed and gave off a rushed, dismissive attitude—as if they just wanted us to eat and leave quickly. We noticed this not just with us, but also with other Arab guests nearby, which left a bad impression. It’s worth noting this wasn’t the case with all staff—just two of them in particular. Loved the food and location, but next time, I’ll definitely try a different branch for a hopefully better experience.

Very good breakfast/brunch options! Good portions, tasty, the place is also nice and friendly staff. Just it took forever to get our coffee, both times we ordered. But we 100% recommend it!
