The SE MI Brewery Discovery Tour continues! First, find a place to park unless you're traveling via shoe leather express. There are some (four?) spaces behind. Right next to the outside seating & rear entrance. A relaxing environment certainly. Stopped in to fill my growlers. You carry a few empties just in case, right? 🧐 Joked with the beertender & a regular while my growlers were being filled. An enjoyable time. I'd happily stop in for a longer stay in the future.

Friendly service and nice ambiance, including an outdoor patio. There is free parking in several lots in the back. Prices are reasonable and they have a nice happy hour from 4:30 to 6pm with $5 pints. It would be nice if they had some more snack and food options. They do have non alcoholic options (eg soda pop and water). It is kid friendly. Beer was average for a microbrewery. There wasn't as much selection as many breweries have (8 beers total on tap).

Visited from North Carolina. The Hazy IPA and Kolsch were very good. The staff (Heather and owner) and other customers were super friendly. Great stop on our tour of Michigan.

You know, it's a shame that more people don't know about the great beers crafted at this little brewery. Everything they brew here is excellent and robust with flavor, rippled with delicious undertones and examples of a fine degree of ingredients and fermentation. I love the Death By Chocolate Porter as well as the traditional staple, the 10w40. Next time you stop at The Henry Ford museum and Greenfield Village, be sure to set some time aside for this Dearborn treasure.

Google
Amazing beer, staff, and atmosphere! Also a great selection of seltzer flavors or house wine if you aren’t a beer drinker. The snacks available for purchase are good too! You can also bring in outside food if you’re looking for a bigger meal. There is also outside seating if you’re looking for somewhere to bring your dog :)

Lots of flavors for seltzers available! LOVED the gingerbread flavor. Casual, low key brewery with good service. Very affordable

I’ve been here twice now, and it’s been a cozy, friendly place each time. The location is nice and close to restaurants, and the beers are great. I especially like the Death By Chocolate Porter and the Falling Walnut Brown. I’ll have to sample some of their other brews when I’m back in the area.

Visited for the first time this evening, joined by Mug Club member and friends. The brewery was quiet when we we arrived and got busier as we enjoyed this small town feel brewery. They had a nice variety of beer and some innovative flavor concepts. I enjoyed a flight ranging from a Belgian to an Imperial IPA, each had some unique tastes - including some pineapple flavors in the Imperial IPA Dirty Mimosa. Great place to relax and try some great flavors! Cheers!

Yelp
Gotta love a brewery that has trivia and seasonal beers! I got the Ab Phab and while I am not 100% sure I could taste the basil I really enjoyed it. This brewery is on our Crafttappd app so we had to check them out! The bartender was super nice too. It is not a large place so I when we got there and trivia was just wrapping up we did have to wait for it seat, but it all worked out.

Yelp
Had a great beer drinking time at Dearborn Brewing. I love me some good beer and DB had some great choices. It's a small and narrow brewery with bar seating and high barstool seating as well. It was Saturday night and they had a local DJ playing all types of music. Being from South Florida, I loved that ambience. It was packed that night and every seat was full. I ordered a flight so I can try the different beers they had mostly IPAs my favorite. The waitress was nice and kept up with us even though it was a busy night. They have snacks not food so don't come here to eat. They had very basic nachos and some other snacks and that's about it.

Yelp
Came here on March 18th as we heard an Irish band was playing. It was a lot of fun! Decent selection of beers and spritzers. One of the best things of the experience was that the band was not ridiculously loud. We could have a conversation without screaming at each other but the music was loud enough that it was energizing. We will definitely come back again.

Mary P.

Yelp
Great experience and atmosphere! I highly recommend to people looking to have a relaxing time and great conversation

Yelp
It was a rainy yucky Tuesday evening. He had some errands in Dearborn and he asked if I wanted to tag along. Well of course I do! Especially when he says we will hit some breweries while we are out here! Yay! We love to brewery hop so I will go any chance I get. Also gives us the chance to hang out. We also wanted tagabrews from here because neither of us had one from this location. We had made friends with a woman at over at Ford's Garage and she was a regular here at Dearborn Brewing. In fact she donated money and was the first official mug club member. She has a lifetime membership! She was 73 and he joked that she was me in the future. Haha. She seriously could have been. We had a lot in common. It was nice to see her when we walked in. And if you know PJ, everyone is instantly your friend. We were greeted immediately. All the locals were quick to make us feel welcome. You could tell that this was a place where their regulars were very loyal. This place was quite small and everyone was sitting around the bar. The mugs for the mug club were beautiful. They were all made at the glass class down the street. The way the lights shone through them made them really stand out! They didn't have any of my usual go to beers, so we both ordered their IPAs at the recommendation of PJ. We will come back if we are in the area. I really enjoyed this place and all the the warm hospitality. But we grabbed our tagabrews and headed back to our side of town! As usual, it was a very fun evening!

Yelp
From the moment we walked in the door to Dearborn Brewing we felt cozy and comfortable. It's a smaller intimate space that just feels right for consuming some good beer. The customers there that we interacted with were really nice and obvious beer lovers. The staff were extremely helpful and knowledgeable as well as just being great hosts. We sat at the bar and enjoyed our visit immensely. The Dirty Mimosa was quite good and is a beer I would order over and over again. My wife ordered the West Village Wit which was also quite good. The owners also came in with their dachshund Calypso. Calypso is the star of Dearborn Brewing for sure! Sure Dearborn Brewing does not have food options and that is definitely ok. Know that ahead of time and plan accordingly. You can order food to be delivered, bring food in, or just eat after or before your visit. Definitely a brewery we will put on our list to revisit on our bike rides to Greenfield Village!

Yelp
Small beer selection for a brewery and nothing really stuck out to me that I needed to try. They do have a lot of seltzer flavors though. I would say probably close to 20, but some seemed odd and out of season. I had the strawberry lemonade and my friend had the pomegranate, both were very light and went down so easily. Parking is pretty abundant and easy. I was there on a Saturday night and both my friends and I easily found parking right behind the brewery in the lot of Monroe.

Yelp
We took a trip out to Dearborn for the day. We wanted to try some burger spots and check out a few breweries out this way. We stopped in here and grabbed a beer before heading to a local burger spot. Dearborn Brewery is a rather small brewery, nothing really interesting about it. We walked in and were quickly greeted by the beertender. We sampled a few of their beers. They had a large selection of seltzers, which I thought was interesting. He ordered a red and I enjoyed a raspberry seltzer. I wasn't overly impressed by this brewery. I think they could up their game. This is not a spot we will go out of our way to come back to visit.

Yelp
Daniel... Mr Brewer gave me a tour after I had tried out an outstanding Pale Ale and IPA. Very genuine and authentic brewery with excellent beers. Well worth the visit like I did from Seattle!

Jake D.

Yelp
Atmosphere is very homey and laid back feeling. The Beer is a good value in general, and especially with the membership program. They hit nearly all the flavor categories and keep new ones rotating. I like that you are welcome to bring your own food, or order a pizza delivered there if you want. Again very laid back place. (Some snacks are sold there too.)

Yelp
Alright - I'm confused by most of the reviews I see posted. I've been to dozens of breweries state wide and this one is not one I will ever return to. First off this is not a review about the space itself nor the staff - this is focused completely on the important topic of beer. The beer was terrible - it was like they brewed a half barrel and then added enough water to call it a full barrel. We ran a sample of four very different beers and they were all like this - everything was light, empty, and one step from flavored water. For example, the NEIPA that almost every brewery is doing should have some weight to it and I shouldn't be able to see through it. Also they still have not sorted out the sour bacteria issue that plagued them from their opening. So there's that. I could keep going on about these issues or you can check out others reviews on Untappd regarding just the beer. Upside? The interior was clean despite the musty foot smell that hits you upon walking in the door. Oh and they let people choose to have country played at an unreasonable volume.

Yelp
I was so lucky to get in the door with the first wave of customers this afternoon. Today was opening day and was I glad to see they really had their S together this soon. The staff were super sweet, swift, and knowledgable. The fresh decor has a great feel for future fun. Chalkboard walls that I'm sure, will be fun to play with over time. They offer fresh brewed beers such as brown ale, IPA, cream ale, amber ale. I tried the flight of all four. Really good stuff. The brown was my favorite. They don't offer food, so I'm reserving that fifth star for when that happens. Priced right I'm sure this place will be a screaming success!

Yelp
At long last, a local brewery in Dearborn! Really good bear (love the suburb sour) and super friendly staff. The pale ale was really good too!! I love the tag line of "born and brewed in Dearborn."
google avatar

Yelp
Fun spot! It does feel a little dreary. I always drink local, and wouldn't hesitate to pop back in, but the stuff they brew is substandard compared with what you can get as of late with the awesome explosion of craft breweries going on in the US. Flights on a fun plate with a map of the area engraved in it. Service was solid. Snacks for sale, but no food. Keep working on those recipes Dearborn, and I will be back to give y'all a try next time!
google avatar

Yelp
My first visit to the brewery and I loved the overall atmosphere. I met one of the owners and she made my wife and I feel at home. The other staff crew were outstanding. Now for the beer review. I stared with a flight. I enjoyed each of the IPAs I had but I'm not as hyped on the October Fest. I never liked other October Fest from other breweries but I wanted to give this place a try. I've now come to the conclusion that it's my taste buds and not the beer. I later had their River Rouge Red, LOVED IT. If you are coming to the Dearborn area stop on by and have a brew. The brewery doesn't sell food but you can either bring your own or order from their extensive menu list for a deliver

Yelp
The Groupon was a great deal! The bartender was nice and she even let me take one of their beer magazines home. I felt really comfortable here even for my first time. The beer was different from other craft beers I feel like I've tasted. They are very unique and full flavored! I loved how interesting they tasted. We got 2 flights plus additional cups to taste them all. We really liked the one that uses hibiscus (not sure the name) Definitely a gem in Downtown Dearborn!

Yelp
Update: I've been coming to this place way more often lately. I love their beers and the staff are really nice. :)
google avatar

Yelp
I honestly would come here more if they had better beers. Everything is just a teeny tiny flat and watered down. I do however love: Ambiance BYOF (bring your own food) Bringing your own table top games Location Service Perhaps if they had liquor then I would have an alternative beverage option. Some of my friends don't like the beer from Fort St Brewery, buts it's cool and they'll just order a jack & coke instead. They same cannot be said for Dearborn Brewing.

Yelp
Great atmosphere & friendly service. Excellent brew options, especially taste of 'dirty mimosa' (IPA imperial/double). First time patron.

Yelp
I wanted so bad to like this place. I met the owner at the bar at Mongolian Grill about a year before this place opened, and talked for a while. I was super excited to hear that he and his wife were opening a brewery right here in downtown Dearborn. I looked forward to it for months and months. Fast forward a long time... We went in on their opening day, which was Dearborn homecoming. It was packed! I had a flight and tried all their brews, four at the time. Three were poor, one was good. I figured it was expected for their first couple batches, considering they had to learn how to brew on a full scale system (instead of a typical 5-10 gallon homebrew system). It's more difficult than just multiplying ingredients to higher quantities, so I've heard. I waited several weeks before heading back. When I did, I unfortunately saw no improvement in the beer. As a homebrewer, I know a lot of the typical "rookie" off-flavors, and found a lot of them in the beers here. A few more months, another visit. Same experience. Another few months after that was tonight's visit. I sampled two beers, and both were sub-par. Not undrinkable by any means, but just not very good. I really really wanted to love this place and support a local endeavor. But I don't see myself going back, at least not for a long time. The beer just isn't very good. I'm sorry guys :(
google avatar

Rachel L.

Yelp
I was super surprised to hear that there was a brewery in Dearborn because a lot of the locals are Muslim and don't drink! I'm glad my friends and I tried this out, there were some pretty interesting beers. We got flights which were very reasonably priced and tried 12 beers total haha. My favorites were the Rouge Red ale and the west village wit and my least favorite was the death by chocolate. Some of the flavors were really weird but that made it fun. I'd totally come here again, wish there was some outdoor seating !
google avatar

Tim S.

Yelp
I'm really looking forward to going back to Dearborn Brewing. They have the beginnings of some really enjoyable craft beer, and it's only a matter of time until they make something exceptional.
google avatar

Maureen S.

Yelp
First visit when they first opened was less than spectacular - didn't like a single beer. Tried it out again a week ago and had a great experience! I think they're definitely working out the kinks of brewing on a bigger system and all that. The chocolate porter and the IPA were both good - and the only ones we tried. We grabbed food from another local business on our way over and ate it with our beers. Brewery is a nice space and I like that they have games and stuff. Ended up playing a little giant Jenga with others in the bar, which was fun. Looking forward to trying some of the other brews soon!

Yelp
Third time's the charm -- many beers on tap, most quite good.
google avatar

Ejk E.

Yelp
Their beer has gone from meh to yuck !!! When all you do is serve beer ...it better be good ! This isn't ! Tastes very amateurish Don't think i will be going back
google avatar

Rodger W.

Yelp
Dearborn finally has a brewery. The place is pretty small and simply decorated, but it's a real brewery. The IPA is good. Hooray!
google avatar

Angela D.

Yelp
This is the second day Dearborn Brewing has been opened. It's been a long wait, and I'm glad to say they seem to be on top of their game. The beer selection is simple with an amber, a cream ale, an ipa, and a brown ale. All the brewing happens onsite and the prices are good too. For $7.00, you can get a flight of their beer selection and find out which one is your favorite. Dearborn has needed a nice brewery and it is finally here. The service is great and the location has a laid back, casual feel.
google avatar

Stephen993 ..

Yelp
As ironic as it would be to talk about food in a Brewery review, this isn't the time. It's just not served at Dearborn Brewing. They expect you to order out. I understand politics are involved, but it's annoyingly inconvenient. The beer at the beginning was nasty and sour; all batches were sour. Overtime, a short amount at that, the store blossomed. They're learning indefinitely. The craft brewery has a much better taste with a wide variety. The beer club/mug club is 200 dollars. You get a custom blown glass mug but it's too expensive.
google avatar

S A.

Yelp
Interesting tap list - a great variety of styles and flavors. Would be a great place to bring friends of varied beer taste. Porter was rich and chocolatey - Toad was a favorite as well. Will bring food next time and chill longer
google avatar

Amanda K.

Yelp
I really wanted to like this place but I could not find one beer, after trying 10, that made me want more. One of the IPAs had a strange and pungent aftertaste that I've never had in any beer before. One thing I noticed is that they smelled far better than they tasted. The hibiscus beer smelled wonderful but had almost no flavor. I was really looking forward to that one in particular so I was pretty bummed. The atmosphere is great and the staff was very friendly and even gave us a discount for the flight. They didn't need to do that, but it shows class on their part that they want their customers happy. The place filled up as the night went on (we finished most of the beers since we were paying for it), so maybe it's just my tastebuds... I'm not sure. I probably won't go back, but if you choose to go there, you will be treated very well. Bring a sweater!

Yelp
Awesome people, great beer!! Very nice place to relax and unwind. My advice is ask for samples until you find your fit. Not all beer is the same and it may be different from what you are used to. The owners are awesome and the culture is great!! Keep it up!

Doug M.

Yelp
Great beer. I had seen mixed reviews but decided to check for myself. I arrived about 20 minutes before closing as I got a later start from Indiana than I planned but they welcomed me and had no problem getting a flight. No rush, no pressure to drink up. Had a great conversation with the staff and had some great beer. The HIIPA (Honey imperial IPA was very good as was the Rasberry Wheat. Beers were all unique and very tasty. No food but you can carry in. They have dog events once a month. Stones throw from Greenfield Village Henry Ford Museum. Very accessible. Worth a stop! Note the glass mugs. Unique! Done by local glass works for mug holders.
google avatar

Alan C.

Yelp
Beer is really good, they have more brews on the menu now - but...but the lighting us still really bright, like crazy bright, can't read the glare is so bad. Mind you it's not the whole place, table lighting is great - it's just at the bar. Nice fixtures but the wattage of each of the bulbs is off the chart. Scratch that... They have a dimmer!!!!! Just say it's really bright and the lights go dim!!!
google avatar

Rob R.

Yelp
Absolutely love this place awesome staff and even better beer proud to be in the great beer state
google avatar

Bill W.

Yelp
This place is great! If you like paying tribute to local brewers, this is for you. The Death by Chocolate Porter is awesome. Friendly staff, and the place is low key. Enjoyed it very much, and I will be back!
google avatar

Alan C.

Yelp
Great selection of beers, we did the taster rack first, that was a mistake as I wanted four of the nine options right away. Great bar. You can spend a few hours choosing your beer then buy a keg.

Scott H.

Yelp
Great neighborhood pub atmosphere. I sat at bar and ended up sitting next to owner! Very friendly bar tender who helped with beer choice. Great beer, high quality IPA and knowledge bar staff who answered questions and made good recommendations.
google avatar

Ryan M.

Yelp
I've only been once since they opened but thought the beer was very good. The staff and owners are very polite. There is a slight drawback in that they dont serve food but there is plenty of good places within walking distance to eat. I will for sure be back.
google avatar

Karen K.

Yelp
The honey brown "beer" that was brought to us bad. The taste was terrible and beer was flat. It reminded me of a friend's first attempt to make his own brew. Only 4 choices on tap and nothing else available. Samples are $1.75 each, really? I have traveled around the county and been to many craft brew houses. With the lack of quality of the beer/ale offered and the way this establishment is run, it will not be around long.
google avatar

Jeremy F.

Yelp
Well tonight I tried IPA, the sour and the chocolate stout. I'm loving it. Bring your own food, awesome beer mug club Friendly staff. I'll be back and bringing friends. Everybody has different tastes but I simply do not agree with the negative reviews regarding the beer. I'm not a Brewer but I love to tour breweries all over the state so I like to think I have some street cred. Come check it out see for yourself...
google avatar

Derek S.

Yelp
Delicious, diverse beers and a warm , convivial staff. I will definitely be frequenting Dearborn Brewing often. An added plus was great tunes in the background.
google avatar

Susan B.

Yelp
This place just opened recently, so maybe it's just that they are working out the kinks, but the beer here is not good. The staff was great and very welcoming and the atmosphere was nice, which were positives. When you only sell one this - Beer - you better make it good. They had 4 beers on tap, a creme ale (which was sour), an amber (which was watery), a honey brown (which was sour) and an IPA (which was bland). Hopefully their next batches will be better, but for the time being, I'd skip this place.
google avatar

Jared R.

Yelp
Says your open at noon. We are here, and the sign says open at 5pm, I say sign but it's written with a white marker. I'm here from Texas and was excited to try some Michigan beer. Fix your times on website and Yelp please.
google avatar

Frank P.

Yelp
Their beer has improved over time. At first it was amateurish at best. Now I go there once a week. Their Amber is not perfect but adequate. Their Red is quite drinkable. My buddy likes the Heff. It's worth a try. Good atmosphere. A good place to meet a friend and talk with no loud music. Overall I like.
google avatar

Becki K.

Yelp
I was there at the opening. very friendly staff, they were still adjusting the beer carbination but i thought the place was great!
google avatar

Phyllis H.

Yelp
Love this place. IPA and Rouge River Red are my favs with Amber and the other 5 beers right behind. Friendly staff. Music and trivia some evenings.
google avatar

Karen P.

Yelp
The beer was good. What upset me was the fact that they charge an extra $5 to fill a growler that you didn't buy from them! Total BS!! I can't and won't buy a separate growler for every brewery I visit. Most places don't charge any extra. I won't be back
google avatar

Cassandra A.

Yelp
A small place, with a handful of beers on tap - I loved the chocolate porter. They allow you to bring in food, there's a bunch of board games available. It's a great atmosphere, comfortable, sort of like going over to a friend's house, if that friend had endless beer. Will definitely be back when we're in the area!
google avatar

Marcie K.

Yelp
My fiancé and I went here for the first time since it has opened this past Wednesday. We were hesitant initially because of the location and the crowd we thought it would attract however the crowd and the staff were all great people. We thought the size of the place and decor were perfect. The service was very good as well. We hope to see this business succeed and will be back soon.
