This cafe is open 24/7 & is usually pretty busy. There is no seating available & everything is takeaway only. Go inside to order & wait outside to pick up. Our coffee was just OK. Mine tasted a bit sour. Loved the cups with the skulls' design. Pleasant service & quick considering there was a queue

This coffee shop is very special. Because the name of the shop is so special and there are tattoos inside, we came here to taste its coffee. The coffee is very delicious, and it is also available in aluminum cans. We bought all to try. The cold brew is so delicious. I like it very much. If you have the opportunity to go to New Farm, you must walk to this coffee shop. The key point! It is open 24 hours as long as you are awake.🥱

My dog has recently gotten into the habit of waking me up really early in the morning and because I’m sympathetic to the fact that I only have around 12-15 years of mornings with him in my life, and that his bladder is about the third of the size of mine, I find it hard to say no to a walk at 4am. I am really grateful to have this place in the neighbourhood to give me the incentive to say “yes” to the walk. I order a large coffee with 1 extra and 1 alternative milk, it costs me $8 which is an amazing price for the hours this friendly team are having to pull to make it happen. I would pay $10+ for the luxury of having this and not think twice. I recommend trying the dirty chai <3

Their coffee is soooo good. Absolute love the flavour and my beans get shipped so fast to my door. Really great customer service too, Nicola was great to deal with after a shipping error. Great price for a 1kg bag of beans.

Quite literally the best cafe around. Open 24/7, easy to get to (it is worth the 40 minute drive for me), and it’s absolutely delicious - what more could you possibly want? I forgot to mention the music played in the shop is awesome!! Atmosphere is cool too! 10/10 ⚰️☕️

Really nice place, no seats however but good coffee.

Google
Hard to fault this place for its dedication to serving coffee to Brisbane 24-7. I only drink cold coffee so happily they have cold brew and it's decent. The cold brew flavour has more of a simple flavour that I would imagine appeals to people used to drinking black espresso. I'd buy it again although I prefer cold brew with more complex, naturally sweet flavours. I don’t know why most places insist on such large cups for cold coffee. This is quite strong cold brew so the large serving they gave was far more than I wanted, especially in the afternoon. On a hot day they could afford to put a lot more ice than the bit she gave me which had melted before I had drunk even a quarter of it. Cold brew with a strong flavour like this one needs the ice to take the edge off it and make it more palatable. More ice also means that if you do take a while to drink it, it becomes more watered down and the taste isn’t as harsh… but being cold is a nicer way to achieve this. If you don’t need such a hige serving I’d suggest asking them to fill the cup with ice. Less ice causes a false economy if you only end up drinking half of it anyway.

Google
Brisvegas 24/7 coffee ☕️ cafe with the coolest vibe with best coffee. I’m pretty boring , a long black no sugar so you can really taste a brilliant coffee. Adore the decor. Barista service early this morning was amazingly quick . Selection of goodies for a snack looks like they cover all taste buds . No seating here . And no lingering around outside after 9pm with loud noise.

Yelp
There's not much better than having a 24/7 coffee shop at your doorstep. Except maybe a 24/7 coffee shop at your doorstep that doesn't consistently blast the many genres of metal through their speakers and attract large groups of bikers who love to rev their engines up and down Brunswick St on a Tuesday night. These things are a minor price to pay, however, for unfettered access to decent coffee. The shop itself is small but well air-conditioned, with enough seating to pop a sit whilst you wait the 2 minutes it takes to knock up a flat white, but it's not the kind of place you'd sit and enjoy your drink at, so they mostly do takeaway. The coffee itself is never bad, sometimes great, depending on who's making it, so it's good that it's never a let-down. They also have iced coffees for takeaway for those scorching days when you still need a buzz. The biggest downside is that Death Before Decaf is cash only, which means you've got to take a short hike to the closest ATM if you're not prepared.

Yelp
Heavy Metal music at it's finest and coffee too. I am a coffee snob and only look for the best grinds around the world when I travel and this coffee house has what it takes. I ordered an iced mocha and at first sip I knew there were some quality beans used in making this cup.

Yelp
This cafe is open always. With limited seating, this is more a place for takeaway coffees. There's a long couch, a few stray seats and milk crates outside. Mind you, the leather couch was low, soft and comfy. The decor features framed vinyl, artwork and various skate decks from different hardcore, metal and punk bands i.e. Amity, This is Hell, etc. I feel like this place should feature gig posters promoting the hardcore scene. I'm sure there'll be more over time. There's a few alternative music magazines on a table for reading. As a fan of hardcore music, I like this place a lot down to the graffitied walls and pin-up art. The music is loud and heavy and I like it. I can imagine a few people would complain. Not the place to come for a meaningful conversation or to write your novel. No food yet, but there's plans to get a small range of muffins to munch on along with your coffee. Coffee is currently $4 for a large. We visited around 10.30pm at night. It's popular among the police and ambos at this time of the night. I imagine during the day it's more popular for those "in the scene". Not the best coffee in the world, but nicer than any other options at that time of the night. Plus, it's a good place to wake up if you're wanting to pull an all-nighter!

Yelp
Does Brisbane need another coffee shop? Well hell yes! If you answered no to that question, please leave immediately and go sip your lemon and peppermint tea elsewhere. Death Before Decaf is the latest addition, located on Brunswick Street New Farm, open for about 1 week. The name describes how I feel and react when I hear people order "Decaf". Seriously? It's like ordering chocolate, and asking don't add the chocolate. Death Before Decaf is the kind of place Brisbane needs, because its open 24/7, and we don't too have many places, if any, open for the long haul to service the needs of an ever demanding caffeine addicted public. The décor is edgy, with a twist of tattoo, punk, metal, street, and some cool graffiti-esque artwork on the wall. The vinyl, posters of hardcore metal, skateboards adorning the wall, all add to their rockstar feel. The comfortable leather couch and deer head on the wall seems out of place and more at home at a venue like Alfred & Constance, but I like the over-all aesthetics of the place. They serve Bellissimo Coffee (The Ultimo), which I actually drink at home too, so I do like the coffee. Due to the limited seating available, this place works well for take-away coffees, and at $3.50 for a small sized cup, is well worth it. Hardcore heavy-metal music isn't my thing, but I'm still a fan of Death Before Decaf. Good news is that Snacks will make their way to the Death Before Decaf counter in the coming months, so looking forward to that!

Yelp
Awesome place. Love the decor and the carefree attitude. Above all else I like that it's open at all hours of the day! At any point in time when my friends ask me, "what's a good place for coffee at this hour?" Guess where I turn to? The interior is really cool with skateboards decking out the wall. Also, the menu clearly conveys its opinion about the proper methods of drinking coffee by offering options for 'wanky' milk like Zymil and soy (which I still order regardless). Service is efficient although sometimes brusque especially at 4am in the morning. However, the coffee is made well and the logo stamped on the side of the takeaway cup is pretty badass.

Yelp
Consistently great coffee made by really lovely baristas. This coffee shop has a great underground vibe and while there is a lounge to relax in while waiting for your coffee, this is more a place to grab your coffee to go than to sit down with friends. While I've been house sitting in the neighbourhood this has become my go to coffee destination. If you are as particular about your coffee as I am, you'll definitely want to check out Death Before Decaf.

Yelp
Just the best people to chill with good vibes all round and great for a late night study coffee

Yelp
Coffee was not too.bad here, hot smooth and the cups are awesome. The feel is more of a in and out service with one huge couch taking up most of space and a few scattered unwelcoming chairs. The art works adorning the walls is awesome however and well.worth a sticky beak. keep in mind its cash only and dont expect to sit around and youve got a good cuppa

Yelp
Finally there's somewhere in Brisbane that appeals to the night owl misfits. We'd heard a lot of good things about this place, so come a drizzly Sunday afternoon we thought it was time to check it out. The decor is rockin! Lots of graf, pinstriping and trendy looking skateboards and nicnacs. While the particular blend if coffee they use is a darker roast than I prefer, the extraction was perfect and milk was creamy and textured. They also blew my mind by being the second cafe I know if in Brisbane that stocks Zymil milk AND knows how to heat it. The long black that my partner had left a lot to be desired. Double shot over hot water *le sigh*.

Hayley R.

Yelp
Last night we went in for some late night coffee and since I don't drink cows milk I was happy to find out they provided not 1 but 4 milk alternatives! As great as that was I was more than unimpressed with the disrespectful "Wanky milk" title above them on the menu. I ordered an almond milk latte, it was burnt and watery, it tasted like bunt toast soaked in dirty dish water. I know what a good almond milk coffee should taste like and it should not be watery or burnt. Dear Death by Decaf, Please learn how to make alternative milk coffee and stop calling us wankers, I can guarantee you at the moment you aren't doing your business or the community any favours.

Yelp
The boyfriend and I swore that we would only come here while the sun was up - but of course, a coffee shop that's always open is at its most appealing when you should already be in bed. We came in just as a pair of similarly tired-looking people left, and were pleasantly surprised to find that we could afford two cups with the coins we had in our pockets (I'd almost forgotten what it was like to pay less than $5 for good coffee in this town). The barista was friendly and efficient, with a masterful command of the caffeinated dark arts. Delicious, smooth coffee; well-laid out and fantastically furnished so that you feel damn cool just being there - at 2am, you absolutely couldn't hope for better.

Yelp
Death Before Decaf doesn't dick around so neither will I. Open 24 Hours a day. I'm sorry. I'm not sure you understand the gravity of this situation. You can get a seriously decent cup of the good gear ANY FREAKING TIME OF DAY! You're already alright with me as soon as that happens. With this particular experience, parking was a breeze but then again it was also midnight so I would damn well hope so. This really isn't the kind of coffee shop where you take a seat so get that liquid goodness to go. Which brings me to my hot tip of the day. It's cash only. Plan accordingly. The great thing about DBD is that the shop is just so damn interesting to look at that I almost wish he had of taken longer to make my coffee. Great artwork, signed band memorabilia, custom painted machine, stencilled stools. DBD know the hand they have and they're playing it like champions. Also if you don't get one of their absolutely excellent choc chip cookies while you are there then you deserve to have your coffee poured in to your lap and I hope it burns with the fire of a thousand suns. Not really, but you get my point.

Yelp
It's surprising I can even recall giving Death Before Decaf my custom on Sunday morning given the sun wasn't up yet and I myself was probably subconsciously still asleep. Thankfully, whilst outsourcing thinking to my trusty friend Yelp, I searched for "coffee" and filtered search to "open now" in the app praying that the Caffeine Gods would shine upon me at 5am and lead me somewhere (other than the Golden Arches) that I could kick-start myself for a day of marketing at a street festival. Death Before Decaf came up and after a moment of "Derr. Of course. You've been wanting to try them out", I jumped into the car and detoured to my final destination via Brunswick Street. It's nestled in the New Farm end of the street between a hair salon and a Thai massage parlour with the beautiful interior design store Black & Spiro rounding out the row of four shops. It looks easily like it could double as a tattoo parlour, and who knows, maybe that's their plan. Now, don't make my rookie mistake. Bring cash. They are cash only and the closest ATM is up the road in the Night Owl convenience store where you'll be hit with a $2.80 surcharge for the pleasure of withdrawing cash. The staff are, thankfully, not peppy and overbearingly jovial at this time of day but are still polite and almost share your pain of being awake so early. After a trip back up the road to the ATM, I returned to order a flat white and I almost regretted the detour upon my first sip. The coffee did improve with each following sip and was a strong and welcome cup of joe to accompany me on the drive to Stones Corner. I didn't have enough cognitive function to ascertain what blend of coffee they're using but it's strong and for a milk coffee strong enough to not let it's old friend Milk over power. A regular (small) will set you back $4. These guys might not become my go-to cafe but you bet if I find myself needing coffee in the witching hours of the day I'll be busting down their door.

Yelp
i really like this place and i LOVE the price point of the coffee. It's a very on-trend opening. Limited seating, cool guy vibe from the owner and staffer. Very street themed and highly limited offering, in this case just coffee. Two things, why are they bringing in snacks now? I'd have thought they'd have offered them from opening. They'll certainly be hugely welcome and it is a really jarring omission from the place currently. All that said, the coffee is absolutely great, really really top notch. I'm a huge fan. Open 24 hours too. I'm very rarely on the streets at 3am these days, but i bet it gets a great late night vibe.

Yelp
Went in here a couple of times while staying with a friend who lives nearby for a week. Both times were very similar and unfortunately left me quite disappointed. The barista was not paying attention when I walked inside and did not greet me, in fact I had to talk first and carry the conversation which was a little bit of a downer to the start of my day. To the important parts though, the decor of the shop is fantastic. They sell some merchandise as well although I wasn't all too interested in it. The little details like the names for the coffee sizes ("biggie" and "smalls") added a nice touch to the overall theme. The coffee was good. I ordered a mocha and a flat white and they both had a good kick of coffee to them. The mocha had a good balance as well, it wasn't too sweet like you get them at most coffee shops these days. Despite the careless attitude of the barista, I would definitely return if I was in the area. Good coffee, nice decor, fast service.

Yelp
Highly recommend the chai latte and the service was friendly. The interior is very hipster and I so wanted to take the sailor jerry skateboard home but alas it was screwed to the wall. It's a funky little place and it's open 24 hrs, just a pity I live on the other side of town but when you leave the nearby new farm cinema it's just across the road to get that cup of joe for the trip home

Amazing coffee and mochas, I don't even need sugar it's perfect! Highly recommend to go try for yourself!

Yelp
Potent, rich coffee here. The smell of the shop is wonderful. I bought my son a long-sleeved T-shirt and took it back to him in America -- it was still redolent of coffee when he unwrapped it. It's not really set up as a place to hang out (although it could be -- swap the couch for a couple of small tables), and it's often hard to find a place to park nearby, so it's not easy to drop by for coffee on the way to work. Mid-morning is a bit of a rush hour, as office workers come in to pick up multiple orders for their co-workers. Not sure if it's because of my American accent, but the barista always remembers to ask if I'd like some cold water or milk added to my scalding long black.

Tim J.

Yelp
Consistently great coffee! Gets super busy early in the mornings but the staff work through the line up extremely quickly and you never have to wait long. One of the best in Bris!

Yelp
This is my favorite coffee in Brisbane! If you enjoy coffee and hard music, go in and grab a cuppa and sit on the couch and listen to the fat tunes ripping through the place! Highly recommended people!
