Decibel Sound & Drink

We have been looking for a hi-far bar in Portland and loved decibel! The indoor decoration and design is very beautiful, drinks are very good and the food was delicious. Sound experience, amazing! We sat at the bar for a bit and then the tables on the side. I personally liked the sound experience on the bar better. There is also a couch facing the sound system which gives you a much better experience! Staff are super nice, and they music selection was great! You can choose a vinyl and place it on the table and if it goes with the mood, they play yours They have outdoor sitting too.

Decibel Sound & Drink is a cozy and stylish spot with great food and a fun atmosphere. I had the brisket taco. The service was friendly, and the overall vibe made it a great place to unwind. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in the area!

10/10 amazing stop. I got the wedge salad with brisket, and deviled eggs as a starter. Food was amazing. Cocktails were spectacular. I got penicillin and the seasonal pandan negroni. Loved the music, the sound, the ambiance.

Great vibe and a perfect place to chill with some small plates and cocktails. The foccacia bread was warm, soft and had the right amount of crisp. Definitely add the pork to the eggs. My husband said the nachos were delicious. The prices were very fair for the level of cocktails they have.

Although I didn’t get a chance to sample the food options on my first visit (trust me I’ll be back), they looked fantastic. Plus, they have a great selection of zero-proof drinks, which is a nice touch for those who prefer non-alcoholic options. Another big plus is the ample street parking available in the neighborhood, making it super convenient to visit. Honestly, I cannot recommend this place enough. Whether you’re local or just passing through, this is a must-visit spot. Seriously, just go!

It's our favorite bar in the Portland area. The drinks are fantastic, the food is great, and the staff is incredibly friendly. If you're a fan of spots like Scotch Lodge, Hey Love, etc., you won't be disappointed by Decibel.

I recommend this spot a lot for people who live near the area. It's a great spot to go with friends or for a date night. Every time I've come here I've enjoyed the cocktails. The staff has always been friendly and helpful with recs. It can get busy on weekend evenings but if you put your name down you can walk across the street and grab a beer to kill some time. Parking can also be tricky on weekend nights too but if you go a few blocks down we found a lot to park in.

My partner found this place while walking her dogs and we decided to visit it the night before our anniversary event. The vibe and mood checks out. The atmosphere here is very chill and it's true with what they have for music: vinyl records. The food was filling and delicious and their seasonal and weekly drinks were amazing. We absolutely love it here and will come back! The food, the music, the atmosphere, the vibe, the drinks and the staff...all A+!

LOVE THIS PLACE!! I would not be surprised if this place absolutely blows up in the coming years. If you haven't discovered it yet, you must. From the charming indoor vibes to the cute outdoor patio to the super friendly servers, to the affordable pricing, to the great cocktails / mocktails, what is not to love.... Came here with friends on a Friday evening and we were seated right away. It got busier throughout the night but don't think there was ever a wait. We ordered a bunch of apps and our favorites were the jalapeño and spinach artichoke dip and deviled eggs. Can't go wrong with any of the mocktails or cocktails. Can't wait to go back and try everything on the menu!! 10/10 recommend, we had so much fun here :)

I have been wanting to go to Decibel for months, live in SE PDX....my Ex came to town for a visit and I got her go with for a couple of drinks and some delicious Deviled Eggs. The service was great, the vibe with the stereo was chill and relaxing, we had a really good time. I had the Spring Training bubble gum infused rum drink, so gooood, she had a Mai Tai, also delicious, the Deviled Eggs were superb, all in all, a great experience....

'Swanky' might sound like a pejorative, and 'Sexy' is so subjective... so let's just call Decibel what it is - a stellar cocktail bar, in all the best ways. Excellent rotating drink recipes (along with all the usual classics) a nice tap list, good wine selection, a fairly robust choice of small plates (none of which have 'tots' in the description - and fyi the tacos are not bad) and an absolutely delicious atmosphere with moody lighting, tall ceilings and soft couches in the middle of it all. It's not so much modern and sleek as it is warm and low key, with a turntable and rows of vinyl discs prominently displayed (and played). There are small tables butted up to the windows and a booth or two but not many, so get here quick or you don't get seated. Six or so stools crouch up at the fully stocked bar, in back of which is a sign that reads - Wish You were Here. Nice sentiment. Matthew at the bar, BTW, was the consummate pro, listening to my boring 'glory days' tales while whipping up an excellent Manhattan through all my blabbering and even giving me some recommendations at the end. A bartender at one of my favorite restaurants in PDX recommended this place and I finally made it over here and I'm so glad I did. I was lucky to land here on Tiki night :) What a comfy, loungy place for a drink! Lot's of plants and cool lighting. They have a bar with six plush, comfy seats. The perimeter of the room is lined with tables for two or four, all comfy too. And the center of the room is packed with two comfy couches, seats, and stools. More than enough room for you and your crew. They also have an awesome, covered outdoor space to enjoy a glorious Oregon summer afternoon. Menu has a full array of snacks and light entrees and deserts. I just had the Focaccia and it was delightful. I had the good fortune to arrive on Tiki Night. So, of course, I had the Mai Tai. It was delicious. Their cocktail menu has a rich list of creative cocktails, based on all your favorite spirits. They also respect the classics with a rich list of the notables, including the Vesper :). You had me at Vesper ;) All the servers I interacted with were kind, knowledgable, and down to earth. Made me feel comfortable and never rushed. To top it all off, the Music is played on Vinyl. Nuff said.

This place is the bomb. Super great cocktails, awesome friendly service and the vibe.... so comfortable and warm. Great music that somehow is loud but not so loud you can't talk / think... just great. Has a nice outside patio, but we sat inside in super comfort... didn't want to leave. Really enjoyed the deviled eggs (even though the eggs were cold and the lardons were hot... a bit odd) and also the brisket tacos. So good. Had the chex mix which was... well, chex mix and the BLT which was really good as well... So much to like at this place. Awesome.

Gosh this spot been on my bookmarked list for so long that it was built up in my head for quite some time. Nice things first, the ambiance here is unparalleled and the interior and exterior are both super charming. Service was also a highlight with the servers being friendly, helpful, and kind. Now the drinks here are NOT joking around; the one I ordered took me OUT in terms of strength and I had to pace myself, drink water, and eat food because I didn't anticipate that it'd be so...generous. The food itself was something we were excited about as well but it was just so-so. The bread was great so A+ and the potatoes were good. However, the nachos were just okay. My friends got a couple of the meat tacos and said they were fine but I am so sorry but the veggie tacos were literally the blandest, least seasoned things I have ever had. It was like they took the nacho toppings, put it in a taco, and somehow...removed some seasoning? I'm not sure whether this fell apart but I felt robbed (of flavor and happiness). To be fair, if you're here for drinks and the vibe, you probably don't care about this tooo much but just an fyi. The place itself is so cute that I may venture out for another drink at some point but certainly not putting this on my list for drinks AND food.

Very cool place. The music theme is a nice touch. The sandwich I had was excellent. The staff couldn't have been nicer. The hit of the night was the gray hound from the bar. Best ever! Cheers to the bartender.

The drinks the nachos and fries and just the vibe was , make sure you follow them on social media for any events that may be happening , we always end up going on tiki night . Love the sound system there for being a hifi bar it's amazing !!! Furniture is comfy there and the low lighting is also music isn't crazy loud !

My husband and I typically stop by here for a late night cocktail after dinner. They have great, knowledgeable bartenders and serve up a variety of well-made classic cocktails as well as fun seasonal cocktails they like to change up each month. We haven't tried anything off their food/snack menu items, but might do so if we swing by earlier in the day. Their nachos always look pretty tasty. I wish they sold a better selection of hot foods....that would draw me in more. Even like a nice BLT sandwich, or some crispy tater tots/fries! Im obsessed with the velvet lounge decor and rotating vinyls they play here. Music is a little louder than some bars, but makes for a fun date night spot. Really glad Decibel opened up, just what Milwaukie needed.

Decibel is all about craft cocktails and a curated audio experience. If I lived closer, it would definitely be a go-to date night spot. Hopefully folks who do live nearby know of it - I worry the biz doesn't have enough signage and you would be able to drive by without knowing they are here. They serve classic cocktails well-prepared and a fun menu of custom drinks, many of which are named after musical artists. The vibe inside is trendy and mid century, with neon lights and plants and a bit of a retro feel. Seating is comfortable, mostly couch/bench style with some bar stools and regular chairs. The big audio system set up on one side of the bar has records available for you to play. A food menu with light bites compliments. Really cool spot, I recommend checking it out if you're in the area looking for drinks at a good hangout!

I love this place. Everything about it. The service is amazing. The ambiance is cozy. The music is perfect. The food is delicious. The drinks are even better. I usually get the nacho without meat, but the veggie taco is pretty much amazing. The drinks are my favorite thing about this place, though. They make seasonal drinks that change every few months. One of my favorite classic drinks is their Mai Thai. We live close so we come when we want to go out because they have a really comfy atmosphere with couches and they play vinyl records. I love the music they play. Last night we had Elton John and Billie Eilish. Did they curate this to me, I thought? Of course not, but I enjoyed it all the same. The service is also just amazing. They're really nice people who work here and want to make sure you're satisfied with what you order.

Went for ladies' night and was immediately in LOVE with the mid century ambiance. Food is basically snacks- Tasty & uncomplicated. Drinks were fun and delicious and the staff are warm, friendly and quick. The music is vinyl! A must for music and MCM lovers.

We love everything about Decibel from the handcrafted beverages to the mid century ambiance to the delicious menu and the staff are incredible. This has become our go to spot when we want an elevated bar experience. And we are never disappointed. Absolutely love this neighborhood gem.

Excellent stop! Yelped from a local improv venue for some pre show drink and couldn't be happier about the stop. Ambience and drink mixes are perfect. Only had the deviled eggs and Chex mix, but assume the food would deliver equally well. Definitely a recommended stop in Milwaukee.

Decibel is a great hangout. The HiFi sound system was fun to experience and the seasonal cocktail I ordered was a flavor journey to say the least. It was very cozy inside with all sorts of seating options and comfy couches. This is definitely a spot I would consider bringing out of town friends to that enjoy music or comfy, relaxed atmospheres while grabbing a drink.

Excellent service, someone greeted me right away when I came in and made me feel welcomed. The drinks were amazing, creative and not too boozey. The Caesar salad was a big portion and the chicken was southwest seasoned. It was a good combo. The music was super enjoyable, and they have done a good job of making the music not overwhelming but clean with plenty of room for a conversation still without shouting. The chairs are super comfy and it has a cozy living room vibe. I highly recommend this spot, I Will absolutely be back. I'd even make a special trip for this place.

Omg! The absolute worst cocktails I have ever tried to drank!!! $15 each, and they were baby size and heaped full of ice... Do not go here! I had a Mai Tai with a sprig of mint? The other drink from their menu was a mango something... Both were not flavorful, fruity, or tropical! Word to the bartender, don't try to reinvent a drink that's already perfected... And go back to cocktail mixing school. Because you failed!!!

Great cozy spot with a creative menu. Staff was friendly and the music was a perfect blast from the past. If you enjoy some Motown or 80's R&B, this place will have you humming along with some signature cocktails and great appetizers. Spicy artichoke dip was amazing.

Went here on Valentine's Day around 6:45-7pm, and we got the last available table. The whole place was decorated for Valentine's Day, and it was so cute. Pink and red balloons tied to the chairs, themed food and drinks, etc. We had drinks, appetizers, and entrees. We got the focaccia ($7) and the potatoes ($10) as apps and they were delicious! The mains felt a little over priced. $17-20. Overall, we had a good time. The vibe of the place is great and they always have good music going.

Writing my first ever yelp review because this place is so good. The vibe is incredible, the space in gorgeous, the staff is unbelievably awesome. It's a cocktail bar and the cocktails are delicious but do yourself a favor and get a brisket sandwich and whatever other beautiful creations they cook up in there. I cannot recommend this place to enough people.

Thank the One above they survived Covid, D will dare you to tempt fate and more than ease you out of community isolation with one breathtaking date, but will no doubt have you begging for another. Stunningly gorgeous, the lofty parlor drips pantone china blue & gold, your heart will pound on entrance, before the Craftiest of cocktails even wets your lips, or the Adonis of sound equipment & speakers has crossed your gaze, nonetheless in a purveyor of eats and sips. Catch your breath before you mix your own playlist of boozy sips to encounter, while you settle into one of the comfy seat arrangements, with vinyl spinning to lull you into complete social submission. Farm fresh produce, house mades & local touches shine here in both food & drinks. Each cocktail presents a wicked display of attention to detail: from the glacial pure, clearest, perfectly shaped ice cube; cube to glass-size ratio; stainless sticks to suspend the cherry; dried citrus glacé rounds adorn rims; to classy Chanel & Fendi-like glassware that match their namesakes. And then the pours are definitely pronounced and supremely balanced. Sarah/owner was also happy to share bartend's recipe for the hibiscus tea syrup, and they have sold their syrups on request and have pre-batched cocktails to go. Sips spinning on our table of 4. Note the (-)Seasonal song titles: -White Liar Pisco 14 unexpectedly stiff as they come...only pisco prior was a sour so my expectation was more akin to less abv forward. I finished it but barely haha. -Winter Lu 12 my comeback to the dancefloor was "The best cocktail" enjoyed in years, juicy without over sweet hibiscus tea, refreshing lime & mellow orgeat. Tequila blanco is the house, or choice so Imma reposado by choice and proved the Platinum Disc of the table. Had to retrieve this cherry red glow of goodness from the hubby, typically a whisky Ol'Fashioned-the less unknown stuff the better sorta drinker :D -Bungle in the Jungle 15 Mezcal. rum, pina,lime, jamaican jerk simple and surprise Campari was a mastery of sweet to smoky smoothness. -Grey Matter 14 Earl Grey gin, salted grapefruit cordial, lemon, aperol. Raise your pinkie and rejoice in this proper English brew with just enough fruit and a tad saltiness to seal your lips -Brown Eyed Girl 12 - Lone hottie sip with green chartreuse whipped cream, sisters coffee, bourbon,creme cocoa, accompani flora green [Oregon liqueur of alpine botanicals] Given the double servings of greens, the herbaceousness is noted but nicely rounds out the coffee & bourbon for a welcome less sweet [think Spanish, BFKs] hot tummy tucker to end your night. ---Old Fashioned 10 - will hit you in the chops in the best way and at a tenner, such a bargain! Eats to ensure you don't tumble off the figurative dancefloor! -Jalapeno Artichoke Dip 9 smooth, hot fondue of local cheeses, quite addictive and I am not normally drawn to these warm types of pepper dips. Given the highly addictive Juanita's, those crisp & just enough oil in the chips, without being hard & dry like many store-boughts AND bonus you get thin warm baguette slices too, this won't stretch far with 4 sharing! -Decibel Salad 11 house green goddess is sorta sweet, pickled red onions counter that, cukes, grape toms, fill a large +/- 9" plate. Sammies: Come with tater or tortilla chips; both were void of a scintilla of grease, ditto for sandwiches. Not sure if the chips are warmed or air fried before serving but seemed even more delicious than when I've had them out of the bag. -Brazilian Roast Beef Sammie 12 house smoked roast, arugula, tom, pickled reds with a family secret steak sauce..unsure if that was the creamy white sauce I didn't care for, a chimichurri would be my pref, but beef is stacked high in the middle could not distinguish a smoke but very edible. I'd try the Edwardo 15 a thicker brisket cut, spicy mayo next time. The toast of the ciabatta still held up by the time I finished the large salad but warmth fading, so I would ask to delay the mains knowing the large salad will take you a minute to plow through ;) -Chile Braised Chicken Torta 11 crema, pickled reds & jalapenos, butter lettuce, cilantro. Reminds you of a Tinga, roll is toasted, very good. -Tacos Brisket 5 & Chicken 4 for singles filling a salad plate, looked yummy, ordered by our guests. Next time. Sound hounds take note the owners are 2nd gen music in blood types, Type A for Audiophile, and sell tube amps next door. Sarah also has the knack for stylin' taking cred for the fab decor & vibe. Delivering 5-star deftly created concoctions that'll make you sing and great accompanying bites to lull, Decibel will mesmerize you with a French Kiss & have you longing for another hypnotizing beat, followed by a slow dance; Be prepared to fall in love xx

My boyfriend and I came by Decibel on Friday after work (around 5ish). Even though I hadn't been here before, for some reason I just didn't expect it to be too busy yet. But they were packed! So I knew right when I walked in that this spot was going to be great. We were luckily able to get seated right away as some people got up when we arrived. The menu is smaller but everything on it looked so good. We quickly decided to had to share everything so we could try more items. We ordered: - Jalapeno artichoke dip (SO GOOD. A MUST order!) - Chicken taco - Brisket taco - Deviled eggs with bacon lardon - Chicken torta We loved everything but next time I'd pass on the brisket taco. The chicken one just knocked my socks off and I am still thinking about it! Definitely order two! This was also my first time ever trying deviled eggs (crazy, right? haha) and they were sooooo delicious. We got margaritas to drink and they were so refreshing. I really can't wait to come back. This spot is a gem!

Top notch!!! This is the best place that milwaukie has to offer, hands down. If you want an upscale, elegant but chill vibe, this is it!!! The cocktails are top notch the food too!! We have had the good fortune to try this place out on a couple occasions . I am happy to say that this is consistently excellent. See you again soon

Me and my Fiancé have been eyeing this place because of how amazing it looks. We were able to make it and it DID NOT disappoint. The ambiance was very beautiful and a chill vibe! Our server, she was great. I Had the Brisket sandwich and it was very tender and cooked perfect.

The food was amazing loved the artichoke dip. Drinks were delicious tried holiday favorites each on was unique and good.

Tucked in the corner of a road under construction this charming laid back respite has a unique Portland vibe. It was such a pleasure to enter this restaurant and feel like you were in someone's living room. Incredibly comfortable and cool atmosphere. Friendly staff, prompt service and an inventive cocktail list made us settle in to enjoy Beatles albums and a small but scrumptious dinner selection. Small selection of salads, pizzas, charcuterie, and sandwiches. Fun cocktail names aside, the liquors are too shelf and really really delicious. I got the Vesper Martini, James Bond's cocktail of choice. Outstanding mixture but only one will do. Pretty powerfully packed with alcohol, at leaset for me. Highly recommend if you like a more quiet vibe to enjoy a good conversation with your friends.

Decibel is a great neighborhood bar but could also be a destination. Pleasant and easy atmosphere, great food choices, world-class sound system and playlist. The bartenders are up-to-date and creative.

We love Decibel! Their food and drinks are great, and the owner and staff are warm and friendly! The casual atmosphere is inviting. Their collection of vinyl albums is awesome! We like celebrating special events at Decibel!

Such a cute, cozy place! I happened to be in the area on a Thursday so I decided to check it out, based on all the reviews. Ambiance was super cozy and chill, food was excellent and staff were amazing. Thank you Amanda and Nathan for such a great first-time experience! I'll definitely be back!

We are so thankful that Decibel has made it through this crazy pandemic so far! Please support this amazingly creative local spot. I had to come on here to share our newest pictures. They really do taste as good as they look! Anyone can make a margarita at home.. but if you're in the mood for something fun and interesting - like this mezcal, pineapple, toasted marshmallow special - please just find your way to Decibel. You won't be disappointed!

Great place, very cozy, incredible service. It would be great if they had a fan available for outside seating on hot evenings with no wind, but other than that, great place. Didn't eat here so I don't know how the food is.

Milwaukie is lucky to have a spot with always good music, comfy atmosphere and really outstanding cocktails. We like to watch the bartenders do their artistry.

Awesome vibes and ambiance.. killer sound system, dope vinyl collection, luxurious velvet sofas and barstools to relax and enjoy one of their delicious cocktails... Every single thing we ordered was amazing but the brisket taco and chicken torta stood out. The staff is friendly and helpful, will definitely be coming back again soon. Wish they opened earlier, would be a great space to work at instead of a coffee shop. They almost got 4 stars for the drinks being a bit small for the price, but then they brought out a birthday ice cream sandwich and candle for my friends birthday so that makes up for a small marg 1000%
