Where ‘The Real Housewives of Potomac’ Ladies Dined in Season 9 | Eater DC

"In episode 9, the group headed to the Capitol Hill hotel’s rooftop bar for some light poolside snacks with a side of divorce talk. Gizelle ordered the charcuterie board for the table, Ashley got the Greek salad, and Karen went with the poached pear app and ginger ale." - Vinciane Ngomsi

Sip and Swim at These D.C. Pools With Drinks

"Home to one of the largest rooftop pools in D.C., the recently renovated Yotel hotel offers day passes for non-guests ($50). Daily swimming hours are 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., with service starting at 11 a.m. (and 10 a.m. on weekends). At the bar, find canned beers, rosé, sparkling wines, and frozen and classic cocktails. Baller cabanas for four go for $150, complete with a dedicated server. A Mediterranean-themed menu this year includes falafel fritters with harissa aioli, beef skewers with chimichurri and crumbled feta, a chickpea salad, and separate kids menu." - Tierney Plumb

HORRIBLE TREATMENT: I booked a cabana for my birthday one month in advance; Deck 11 decided to hire a "pool party" and voided my reservation just days before. I went to the YOTEL where Deck 11 is located, waited 30 minutes. Front desk "mission control" staff were unable to tell me who the Deck 11 manager was, what his full name was (only knew him as "Sam") and I have been unable to address the issue. The hotel staff were neutral to unhelpful, as it is with most corporations these days. They are out for a buck, and if they mess up your long-awaited plans they really could care less. Essentially, incompetence masquerading as a company.

Stopped by while staying in the hotel, apparently they've just reopened for the season - perfect timing! Bartender (Ken?) was awesome and the space itself is huge. Will definitely be back when I'm in DC again!

Great rooftop bar and pool at Yotel. The food was really good, simple menu with good options. The staff is very friendly and helpful.

Do not book a Cabana at the Yotel Pool/ Awful I will never go here again. I booked this because some of my girls were in town and thought it would be fun. Based on price I actually thought it would be a nice upscale experience. Not only was the staff rude, they were out of everything we tried to order, but had the nerve to still try to hold us to their $500 minimum for a half-day cabana rental. On top of that, they kept getting what we did order wrong, and the waitress had enough nerve to get an attitude about it. She even once nastily grabbed the order we pointed out to her that was wrong and stormed off. It became quite clear after only being there for a short time why all the other cabanas were empty. People seem to know what is up with this place and are steering clear of it. What a colossal waste of money.

Google
Horrible experience, all around. I was so excited to spend my day-cation here, but I was beyond disappointed. They didn’t comply with any of their amenities(I.e private fridge, dedicated server, etc.) Our reservation was from 8am-2pm but the bar opened over an hour late so we didn’t get to start our tab until past 12pm. We were kicked out promptly at 2. Each of our food orders took WELL over an hour. The best part of the experience was Jane, who was extremely polite and kind, but clearly a new bartender and thrown to the wolves by an inexperienced and vindictive management. I was accused TWICE of not paying for my cabana (I paid three months in advance), which I found extremely disrespectful, unorganized, and embarrassing for the company. Their menu didn’t reflect what they’re actually serving (I.e. Frose, and frozen lemonade). I was sent to the downstairs bar THREE TIMES where I was either not served or refused service since I was a pool guest. Do NOT come here for a relaxing time; my experience was nothing but a hassle. If not for Jane, I would have been absolutely livid at my experience, especially considering how much I paid. Breaks my heart to leave such a bad review, considering I’m also a bartender, but this was one of the worst customer service experiences I’ve ever had in my life. I can’t stress enough how much of a rip off this was.

You will pay about $20 per mixed drink after tax/tip. The service is slow and not that nice. You can't order food unless you buy a seat. They are closed randomly, such as if there is a little bit of rain.

Google
Great location. Wish it stayed open later and wish the drinks weren’t so expensive. Otherwise loved it.

Great pool day at Deck 11 on the rooftop of Yotel. Great food and very attentive service from the bartender and waitstaff. Shout-out to Queenie in management who moved our passes from a cloudy day to a different day on a moment's notice and with no fuss.

Yelp
Reserved a cabana for me and 3 other girlfriends to enjoy a little fun in the sun. Service was amazing and Sophie was friendly and answered all questions that we had. We enjoyed a little of everything from the menu but hands down the winners of the day was the grilled cheese sandwich and the blt. We also enjoyed guacamole and salsa, crab cakes, some sort of kale salad (can't think of what it was called on the menu) and a lot of wine and rose. If you're looking for a relaxing rooftop spot with good service, food and drinks check out Deck 11.

Yelp
I booked a cabana at deck 11 for my boyfriend's birthday. The morning of the reservation it was cloudy with a high chance for rain and I called the hotel to see if deck 11 were still gonna be open for business and they said yes, when we got there there was not pool attended the bar was not open and the pool look barren, when I asked the manager after 45 minutes of looking around for him, he stated that they were closed for the bad weather, and they did not think to notify the people who already paid and booked a reservation for the pool. I also paid for a server but were told we had to go down to the bar from the roof top and get our own food and drinks. I was told I would get 20% back and never did. Do not book a reservation here.

Yelp
Came here once over the course of my stay. The furniture was cheap and uncomfortable, the food was overpriced for its portion size, and staff while nice seemed overwhelmed at times. The view is advertised as being very nice, but all you really see are grimy buildings surrounding it. Felt like I wasted a good portion of my afternoon here, and I imagine you will as well.

Yelp
Deck 11 is a bar/rest in the rooftop of Yotel DC. It is located by the pool, it is "ok" for snacks and drinks while enjoying the pool. However, it is good to calibrate your expectations in terms of food/cocktail quality as well as price. Let get into some details, (I) The food is actually average quality, nothing special but not bad either; (ii) the drinks are mainly frozen mix (I.e. piña colada or watermelon rose) nothing crafted, nothing special either. Prices are very expensive relative to the quality, very typical of hotel restaurants. To give you an example, 2 piña coladas (mix frozen - low quality) and 2 Turkey sandwiches are in the $80s without tip. The pool is nice, a bit crowded depending on the day and if there is an event going on. Had higher expectations... recommended maybe for tourists passing by DC, but definitely not for locals trying staycation.

Yelp
I experience this establishment for a birthday celebration for a cousin. Upon visiting the upstairs pool I came across young lady name Page where she took my order. She was very rude and the idea is I come to spend my money I didn't come to be treated rudely. Page took my drink order and was snap . work in one of the biggest hotel in DC and I expect the service to be top because I pride in service. Due better

Yelp
Deck 11 is the pool deck on top of the Yotel. We were staying at the Yotel for the weekend and looking forward to enjoying the pool. The pool and rooftop area is fantastic and we enjoyed floating in the pool to escape the heat of the day. However the service is terrible, the staff are disinterested and don't seem to care - 20 to 30 minute waits for drink orders and reminders needed.... The snacks are also massively overpriced and, quite frankly, take the p*$$. $18 for a cheese plate that has 3 micro thin slices of cheese, 6 crackers, a tablespoon of crushed nuts and a small amount of honey (plus the menu says it comes with a toasted baguette, but apparently it does not) - this is at least a 500% markup, and I'm being generous! Stay at the Yotel for the great rooms and enjoy the pool and the great food and service at Art & Soul, but skip the pool drinks and food service.

Yelp
I went to the Deck 11 pool at the Yotel DC to celebrate my aunts birthday yesterday. We had an amazing time. The staff were super friendly and excellent customer service. Tutpo at the bar made the best drinks, served pool side. And the manager Queenie kept checking on us to ensure that we were having a great time. Queenie was very accommodating. We can't wait to go back...good times had!! Deck 11 is such a vibe!!

Yelp
I would skip Deck 11 if you are in the area. I had a conference across the street at the Hyatt. I literally worked 10 hours today. After the conference ended I walked across the street for a glass of wine. I was greeted by a "bouncer" which is strange at a hotel bar in DC on New Jersey Ave, but whatever. He said he needed to check my bag, it made me pause, but fine. He told me I couldn't bring any water (it was 90 degrees today) or food in. I told him I have my water bottle and leftover lunch, but it was in my large tote bag. I shared that I wasn't a guest, but had a meeting across the street. He didn't give me a hard time, but it was clear he wasn't going to let me in with my leftover lunch and 40 oz water bottle (already shared I was working earlier). I leave Deck 11 and the girls in the elevator said they didn't check their bags. It was a bizarre experience. Not sure if it's pretentious or they've had experiences with people bringing their own beverages. Whatever the case, no need to support this type of business that has a bouncer at 4 pm on a Sunday.
