Our goals was to visit as many of the top ranked Yelp restaurants in Waikiki as possible while there. We Just dined at DECK, another Yelp top rated restaurant at the Queen Kapiʻolani Hotel in Waikiki, and wow, this place is fantastic! Located on the 3rd floor rooftop pool deck, the open terrace dining area has the most incredible view of Diamond Head I’ve seen. It’s practically right at your table, making it perfect for soaking in the scenery or snapping some great photos. The food was outstanding. The Caesar salad was a standout—crisp lettuce with just the right amount of cheesy flavor. And the braised short rib? Hands down one of the best I’ve ever had, so tender and packed with taste. The service was spot-on too—our waiter checked in regularly without being overbearing, which made the meal even better. Happy hour is a great deal with plenty of drinks at reduced prices, adding to the relaxed vibe. Plus, it’s right next to the zoo, so you can easily make a day of exploring this part of Waikiki. If you’re looking for delicious food, a chill atmosphere, and that unbeatable Diamond Head view, DECK. is the place to go!

Quality: 5 Quantity: 4 Service: 4 Price: 4 Ambiance: 5 Very nice ambiance. With respect to the direction the sun sets, it makes it shady and breezy on the deck with a very nice vibe. The food here is a little on the pricier side compared to a normal outing but it was all great food and no complaints. The service was good… pretty efficient.

Beautiful view of Diamond head. Food was delicious and the waitress was lovely. If you gave a review when you entered they give you 241 on Mai Tai's. Very clever but my review still stands. The view was beautiful, the food and drinks were worth it. You enter the hotel and use the lifts that have signs for the restaurant. We prebooked our table for outdoor seating

Review 1: Visited for brunch with friends. I ordered the house burger with French toast and it was a solid 10/10 – absolutely delicious! Three of my friends ordered the eggs Benedict, but unfortunately, it was disappointing and didn’t resemble a proper eggs Benedict at all. We let the waiter know, and they were kind and professional, promptly removing it from our bill tho. Review 2: Went on a Monday evening for dinner with friends. The restaurant was busy, and apparently the kitchen was short-staffed. The food took 45 minutes just for the appetizers—even though we had asked for everything to come out together. Another 20 minutes passed before a few of the entrées came, and one of our friends had to wait an additional 25 minutes on top of that for some ribs. I ordered their bao and 10/10. Patrick was really nice and patient, though. The whole table got a discount, and the rib girl got hers for free. I can see they tried to make up for it, but still—second time I’ve been there, and things are just not right.

Google
Beautiful place, great staff. I would highly recommend going for happy hour from 2-6 and then having a dinner reservation afterwards! A bit slow on the drinks and getting order in. But other than that it was incredible!

Google
I really wanted to love this place but unfortunately we waited a long time for our drinks and sides. We got the avocado toast, Tokyo pancakes, a side of egg whites, side of bacon, blueberry lemonade and a pineapple juice. We were basically done with our meals and still hadn’t received most of the things we ordered. We got our drinks after we finished eating. And we never got our sides of bacon and egg whites but they wanted to charge us for it.

Google
Went for drinks and brunch after getting married on sandy beach and it was perfect! Service was excellent. Hostess and waitress were both very nice and made us feel welcomed. Food was great as well. View of diamond head was icing on the cake!!

Google
Food was absolutely fantastic. However lack of staff almost ruins the dining experience. We were lucky to have an early reservation where food came out pretty quick, but people around us were waiting extremely long just to get their drink orders in. Just get staffed up and this place would be running like a well oiled machine.

Yelp
What We Ordered: Mai tai Highlights: * Service: attentive, slower to seat us initially even though the restaurant wasn't full * Food/Drinks: very good Mai tai, not my favorite but unique almost cherry flavor to it, lighter in color than other Mai tais in Honolulu * Ambiance: cozy, huge seating area covered and uncovered, come here for the view of diamond head (will not be disappointed), relaxing * Price: reasonable

Yelp
We arrived an hour before closing but they had run out of sushi and some desserts which was disappointing. Service was ok just not super friendly, or very knowledgeable when asked about certain dishes. Our drinks took a while to come out, mind you two were fountain drinks and the other a simple captain and coke. Food was a bit better in speed and while they were actively cleaning and prepping for closure our food came out well cooked and portions were rather large. Two members of our party had salmon which they liked, and I had the fish tacos which were huge and fresh. I opted to add an additional which was a huge fail on my party as two were plenty. Decent meal overall but one of our least favorite dining experiences since being in Waikiki for the week.

Yelp
Really, really cool view from this spot. Most bars in Waikiki go for the ocean view, but this spot nailed the Diamond Head view. Unique and pretty cool. They have a couple drinks on tap which were tasty and unique, but you pay the price for the view. Tons of seating, but really only one area that you really get to enjoy the view from. Service is okay. We went when it wasn't super busy and we got served at the bar when we asked for it, but it definitely wasn't above and beyond. A definitely must do for at least one drink.

Yelp
We went to Deck. during their happy hour. We didn't order drinks, but got calamari which was heavily seasoned and served with an aioli. The squid pieces were a bit small and it was a tad salty. The truffle fries on the other hand were lacking distinct flavor. I ordered the island spice rubbed chicken which was very juicy and flavorful. The short rib my friend ordered also looked good and well prepared. Their margarita pizza includes cherry tomatoes and is super cheesy. The service was lacking a little and it seemed that other servers were unwilling to help our table, and would always default to trying to find our waitress. So we had to wait longer for water refills, getting the check, etc. Overall, would skip out on the appetizers and order only main entrees. The proximity to Waikiki beach and patio area are strong positives for Deck.

Yelp
I've been here several times and the food is always great. This time I got the pan seared scallops and I'm so glad I did. Loved everything about it. The ambiance is cute. Great place for pictures as Diamond Head is in the background. Just didn't like the service this time. The waitress was rude and didn't talk or look at me but only addressed the other person I was with.

Yelp
Deck is conveniently located inside of the Queen Kapiʻolani Hotel Waikīkī. Located on the 3rd floor, right next to the pool with Diamond Head as the backdrop. Beautiful view! We tried the happy hour menu and started off with a couple of Mai Tais. We also sampled the Beef Sliders, Calamari Fritti and Truffle Fries. All were very tasty and we received fast and friendly service. We came back to give their breakfast a try. We tried the Deep Dish Haupia French Toast and the Braised Beef Loco Moco. The food tasted great but came out luke warm. I'm not sure if they had new servers during the morning but the service was slow and I had to ask for refills on water repeatedly. I'm normally pretty patient but restaurant was fairly empty for that kind of service. On that second day, they fell a little short for me.
google avatar

Sheena G.

Yelp
Pros: views are so perfect, and our server was friendly. Cons: Unless if you like your beef patties super raw, I wouldn't recommend the loco moco. Had them remake it but it was still super raw. Even the server was shook and said "that does not look right at all". French toast and their lox bagel was probably the only good thing about our breakfast. Probably won't be back again unfortunately.

Yelp
We were able to get seated right away even though I made reservations it was nice the hostess gave us a view and was closer to the diamond head side. Really appreciated that. The ambience here is second to none. You get a beautiful view and it is limited seating here so feels not as crowded as in Waikiki. The food we ordered I closed eggs Benedict, Haupia french toast and paniolo loco moco with drinks - green matcha strawberry and not your oridinary mai tai. The loco moco wasn't the best and it needed seasoning. They were out of Tokyo pancakes so we got the French toast which needed syrup. Overall, definitely recommend but wasn't a 5. They didn't refill my water on a hot day, but that was OK. Giving it a 4. Jordan was great! He was wonderful and even if busy was able to handle all the requests. Felt the aloha!

Yelp
Absolutely loved this rooftop spot! Deck has such a beautiful view--lush green mountains on one side and the sparkling ocean on the other. It's the perfect place to soak in the beauty of Hawaii while enjoying an incredible brunch. Let me just say... the french toast was the best I've ever had in my entire life. No exaggeration. It was perfectly crispy on the outside, soft and rich on the inside, and the brioche was to die for. The coconut syrup took it to the next level--so unique and insanely good. My fiancé got the loco moco and absolutely loved it, and we both enjoyed our mimosas--great flavor and not too sweet. Service was great, everyone was friendly and attentive. I'd definitely come back here for brunch next time we're in Honolulu!

Yelp
Beautiful view, make sure you check their hours, the kitchen was not open when we stopped by but the bar was so I was able to get a good drink.
google avatar

Emily P.

Yelp
Stopped by for some drinks and a quick snack before continuing our day in Waikiki. The view is always a great photo op, especially for those who are visiting the island and want to get a pose in by diamond head. The drinks were good, but nothing that blew us out of the water, and we came around 2:15 so there was no wait to be seated. We still sat at the bar for quicker service as this was supposed to be just a short stop, and we were the only party sat at the bar, but it must have been around shift change time as it was a bit difficult to get quick service and took about 15 minutes for us to be able to flag someone down to close out our tab.
google avatar

Yelp
Beautiful view, amazing service and great food! Ask for a spot outside! We requested a nice view and they delivered
google avatar

Olivia W.

Yelp
Overall, great experience! The atmosphere is perfect here, great view and the decor is adorable. Our server Jordan was very attentive and got us everything we needed. The drinks we ordered were delicious and very tasty. The garnishes were beautiful as well. Although, I was a little disappointed in the food. I ordered the eggs Benedict, subbing avocado for the ham. One of the pieces still had a piece of ham and both of the eggs yolks were overdone. For paying $22 I would've expected the poached eggs to be done correctly. On the contrary, the hollandaise sauce was delicious and all the flavors combined made a yummy dish.

Yelp
Beautiful views of Diamondhead Mountain vibe is mellow people are lovely. Food is great.

Yelp
3.5 stars for food, rounding up to 4.011 includes service & ambiançe. We chose a stormy New Year's Eve to visit Deck. The location and ambience are very nice, and the staff are friendly, helpful, and enthusiastic. The food was good, merely good and moderately uninspired. All this place needs to shine is to tweak their menu to be a little more refined, instead of feeling slightly rushed. Take the time to get a good Maillard reaction on the meat. Add a bit of punch to your sauces, and don't forget the seasoning. It wasn't by any measure a bad meal, but with all the competition nearby that are being careful with their preparations this meal felt sloppy. At the street level there is also a Deck coffee shop, which has wildly enthusiastic staff, tasty satisfying pastries and sandwiches, and pretty good drip and espresso coffees.

Yelp
This place has a really good happy hour, beautiful view, and fun cocktails. Throughout the week they have different drink specials, I went on a Wednesday and it was Whiskey Wednesday! Such a good spot for drinks. Definitely on the pricey side when it's not happy hour. Portions weren't too big for the price we were paying. I would come here after my dinner, not for dinner. The wings were very flavorful, just wish they were a little more crisper. Calamari was subpar, it could've been more crispy since I enjoy super crispy calamari. The squid was not chewy and rubbery though! It was cooked very well. Our server was so sweet and always checked up on us. We came to celebrate a birthday and she did everything in her best effort to keep that candle lit since it was so windy outside!

Yelp
Great view, drinks and food! 100% customer oriented service! Recommended for all waikiki and queen kapiolani visitors.

Yelp
Beautiful restaurant right next to diamond head cute views nice food :)! The servers and staff are very kind!

Yelp
I highly recommend stopping by before sunset. Why? You'll get the best views of diamond head and get to catch happy hour ;) My boyfriend and I decided to stop by for a "snacks" dinner and ordered fries, calamari, and a caesar salad. All were really good and satisfied our cravings as we enjoyed the views & weather. Our server (I wish I got their name) was the highlight of our day! Their energy was infectious and we loved chatting with them. Overall, 10/10 spot and we highly recommend visiting!
google avatar

Cheryl G.

Yelp
Great drinks, decent happy hour menu, breathtaking views of diamond head, and fierce pigeons who want to eat your food. We ordered the fish tacos, calamari, and caesar salad. The calamari was overdone but everything else was great.

Yelp
Came to this bar and grill in Waikiki for happy hour. Deck is located conveniently close to some of the hotels and other fun stuff. It has better drinks than food but it's still good for dinner though. Can get expensive which is the only bad thing about it. That's why you come later and you can save a lot. A lot of things to get on the menu even at breakfast. It's got classics like eggs Benedict and that kind of stuff. The best time is later though. Be sure to get here at happy hour. Plays tricks with the times. It's got drinks 2 to 6, and food 4 to 6, which means get both cheaper drinks and food 4 to 6. Much better prices for the cocktails at this time. It's $12 for the favorites. These include the Mai Tai and a few others. Also the Liliko'i Margarita is a good one. This is made with Casamigos tequila, Cointreau, lime, and liliko'i, which is the Hawaiian word for passionfruit. As for the food, there's a few okay choices. There's meaty options like ahi and ribs. For vegetarians there's not that much, but it makes it easier to choose. It's $6 for French Fries, and $9 for Truffle Fries. There's some more choices on the full priced menu but it's pretty expensive to be honest. Get here in the afternoon and evening. It's located at the Queen Kapi'olani. Hotel. This is okay for those staying elsewhere because it's located close to many others.

Yelp
The ambiance was pretty and spacious. We had a reservation for a group of 14 but still had to wait 15 mins. Cocktails were all delicious and aesthetic. You can't go wrong with whichever cocktail you get as my friends and I all enjoyed ours. The food was really good. Apps- hamachi carpaccio, truffle fries, and calamari - I'd order all again depending on what I'm craving Sushi rolls - hamachi jalapeño nicely balanced and spicy salmon roll was a bit torched with a good flavor Entrees - pan seared scallops were great with a side of sautéed vegetables. The veggies were a bit salty but added lemon juice did the trick. Braised short ribs were very tender and the mashed potatoes were yummy and garlicky and the roasted vegetables were cooked perfectly. Overall, a lovely and lively dinner spot!
google avatar

Hannah C.

Yelp
We visited this location because it was so close to our hotel - and it did not disappoint! They were able to get us seated quickly without a reservation which was great. I do not remember our server's name but she was very helpful and knowledgeable on the menu. We ordered the Brussel sprouts and they were the best we've ever had! The catch of the day and short ribs were a perfect combination of land and sea - both cooked very well and the sides were good as well. We got the crème brûlée for dessert and that was melt in your mouth as well. This place was big! It was pretty noisy but we expected that in a busy town. Good spacing between tables as well, which gave us some privacy.
google avatar

Evelyn T.

Yelp
If you're looking for a restaurant with a view, Deck has a great view of Diamond Head depending on the time of day. We came here at night after sunset and the ambiance was still nice. Portions here are very big for the dinner entrees. I had the BBQ Lilikoi Pork Ribs and I couldn't even finish half of it. The ribs were very tender, but wish there was a stronger lilikoi flavor. The truffle fries were great to share. Also got the Not Your Average Waikiki Mai Tai since it was one of the special drinks. It was kinda tart. Service was very friendly. The hostess offered us some blankets in case we were cold. We parked at the zoo across the street for a fee, though we had to circle around a few times until we got a spot.

Yelp
Lovely evening for a happy hour on a hotel's rooftop bar with a beautiful view of Diamondhead, before attending the Diamondhead theater. Food: 4/5 We enjoyed the happy hour food-pretty standard fare, and the drinks were tasty and pretty. Service 5/5 -The staff couldn't have been nicer -very friendly and helpful. The food and drinks came slowly because it was a busy night. Be sure to make reservations. Facility -4/5 Nicely arranged rooftop dining with great views of Diamondhead and a lovely view of the beach -especially at sunset. Unfortunately the hotel had no restaurant parking available-but there is nearby parking at the zoo. Location -easily found with gps, busy hotel area.

Yelp
Really good food. Service was way off. Beautiful setting on the deck overlooking HI mountains. Sitting outside, it's just a nice setting. Waitress was very nice, but just all over the place. We ordered drinks, she got them wrong. Ordered appetizers, she got them wrong. And she joked about it "like oh no did it again..." And then did the same thing with the entrees. It wasn't busy. She didn't seem new. She just seemed to laugh it off like no big deal.

Yelp
One of the best brunches of my life!!! The pictures speak for themselves... the food was absolutely amazing, hust as good as it looks. We had a perfect Morning sitting on the patio with great views and mimosas. We cannot wait to come back!

Yelp
I still come back to try their food. The past two times were take out since we were staycationing near by for New Years Eve and day. Dinner: we got their prime rib which was a seasonal dish, the New York steak with truffle mash, and side of fries. Prime rib was okay, tender but lacked flavor. Even the au jus lacked any flavor. Fries were regular fries. The steak was good. I asked for medium well but it was well done. Not mad about it since it wasn't too tough to eat haha. I do not like truffle but I liked the truffle mashed potatoes! There was a hint of truffle flavor and wasn't overpowering (YAY). It also came with onions which were cooked well and was super tasty! Next time I would ask for extra onions! Yum. Breakfast (no pic): braised beef loco moco was so good but we didn't get much meat and gravy. Felt like we got we could've gotten a bit more. But it was still tasty and I was pleased. Calling and placing the order was alright and definitely could've been streamlined a bit better. I called and asked to do a take out order and it took the woman on the phone a bit to grab a pen (she literally told me that she needs to grab a pen to take my order - probably not able to punch it in the POS since the phone was elsewhere?). The items that I originally wanted for dinner was out (the braised beef) and she kept needed to put me on hold to look at the 86 list in the back. Maybe that could be communicated with the front staff and they could have a list with them as well? But I appreciated her checking but it made the ordering process longer than what it should be. Picking up my order wasn't streamlined as well. I waited for my check for about 10 minutes, then waited another 10ish minutes for my change while I saw the person that initially helped me walk around and refill waters. I would've appreciated a more streamlined experience so I could've paid, get my food, tip, and leave.

Yelp
1 star for the view. I never write reviews, but just felt so let down by this place. First impression, birds everywhere waiting for people to leave, i get it, it's outdoors, servers had to constantly spray birds with vinegar, felt bad for them. After we ordered, food came out in about 5 minutes, everything on my plate was cold, which i did notice in other reviews, appetizer was so overly salty, we ended up sending it back. We had to ask the bus boy to find our server, she was nice, but never came to see how we we're doing when food came out. Unfortunately, we will never return and would not recommend.

Yelp
A bit tucked away so it wasn't overly packed. Good food. Wonderful waitstaff. Little pricier than sone other local spots. Comfortable local.

Yelp
My mom and I had a reservation for a Monday night and are so glad we had one. There were other people trying to dine without a reservation and were told it would be over an hour wait. The view of diamond head is great. It was $10 mai tai Monday so I started with that and it was really good but strong. My mom and I shared brussels sprouts and truffle fries. Both were delicious. My mom got fish tacos and I got a spicy salmon roll. I tried the fish tacos and they were yummy but I wish it was fresh instead of fried. Everything was delicious and service was great. We ended up having leftovers but were glad we got to try several plates.

Yelp
Deck is the perf brunch place Very open layout, aesthetic design, and great view but the birds coming to eat our food was a bit overwhelming. Price was alright, the food itself was good tho!! Our app of the day was the calamari (9/10)-- YUMMM, the shishito peppers. The Avo toast (8/10) was super fresh, the Tokyo style pancakes (8/10) were insanely fluffy and easy to eat, and the Deck burger (8/10) had an amazing sauce.

Yelp
Heyyyyy again ! I came back, hoping that the salmon of my dreams was not just a figment of my imagination. Let me tell you, I went in with the mindset that I could have just been simply infatuated- that I was just so hungry so any food consumed would've been exemplary. From the first bite, I knew my memory served me correctly, this salmon was so perfectly cooked and every fixing on the plate was executed so well. I consumed it and it consumed me, body and soul (P&P reference?) I'll be back and I hope to see the roasted salmon again. Thanks!

Yelp
Recommended by my local HI friend Lyla! I was up early on a Saturday and still made a reservation for myself anyway on Opentable for 6:45AM. Situated on the 3rd-floor rooftop pool deck of the Queen Kapiʻolani Hotel (don't need to be a hotel guest to dine here/access it from the elevator), DECK. features panoramic views of the iconic Diamond Head steps from the world-famous Waikiki beach! This open-air venue was refreshing. I walked from my Airbnb, but for parking it's located near the Honolulu Zoo lot. Rather than Hawaiian Kona blend coffee or a mimosa with Passion Orange nectar, instead of a listed mocktail, I decided on a [virgin] pina colada for this solo breakfast. I chose the outdoor deck seating with view of Diamond Head, which I had just conquered the hike the morning before! It was a little breezy but still pleasant. I ordered the Tokyo-Style [Souffle] Pancakes (ricotta cheese, homemade whipped butter, maple honey). It had several optional add-ons: haupia creme anglaise, fresh berry compote, or chocolate ganache. I went with the haupia: coconut-flavored custard sauce, and toasted coconut flakes. Their other breakfast items also looked to die for: haupia deep dish french toast, loco moco, Portuguese sausage, and more. Also seems like every weekday they have a deal: Mai Tai Monday, Tequila Tuesday, Whiskey Wednesday, Thirsty Thursday, Pau Hana Friday.

Yelp
Came here after the Ekiden race. Got seated right away. The service was fast! We ordered 2 eggs Benedict's latte and lemonade. The eggs Benedict was great! It made us full! And if you get any drink order with the tiki cup you can bring the tiki cup home with you! They will wash/ clean the cup for you before you take it home! The cup is nice and great souvenir if you're visiting Hawaii! The only part we didn't enjoy was we was waiting a very long time for our check! Our server kept disappearing or was helping other tables but we had to wait a long time to get our check. But everything else was great!

Yelp
Since we have been here it's been over 30 days in QK hotel. The food, service and ambiance has been amazing. We would absolutely come back to stay at the Queen kapiolani and enjoy food and drinks at the Deck.

Yelp
The location of this bunch spot is wonderful. The zoo is across the street and the parking is $1.50 an hour. It has a beautiful view of diamond head and is half inside and half on the porch. They have an area for events as well I noticed when we went to the patio. Service was okay, our waitress was sweet but not as attentive for how slow the restaurant was while we were there. The food was fantastic! Most of the group had burgers with fries. Large burgers with huge piles of fries. I ordered a Caesar salad and truffle fries. The truffle fries were to die for perfection in my book of fries. The Caesar its self was pretty standard but the Parmesan chips made it a show stopper and it was a large portion, enough to share. We each tired a chicken wing and the flavor was outstanding. I don't even know what it was, but it was good! I had already looked up the fish tacos and wanted to order them but didn't know it was a dinner menu only item. So now I definitely need to return! The mai tai was my second favorite on the island so far, the bartender was working magic for sure. It was so flavorful but had a perfect kick to it! I'd love to try another drink on their menu next time, I imagine happy hour is a great time to swing through.

Yelp
Brunch for a large group??!!! No problem for the Deck! They handled a party of 14 no problem! Service was so great, they handled all of us with grace, speed and kindness. Food was so good. I had the Avocado brunch toast, with a side of bacon and an over easy egg. When the egg was brought out it was like super well done, but the server handled it with such grace and humor and before I knew it a great over easy egg had arrived. I had an Hawaiian ice tea that was beyond refreshing. We all loved the food. Outdoor seating area was nice, even though we may have had to fight off a bird or two but that happens to us all the time.

Yelp
Ambiance is incredible, and making a reservation online was the way to go to get seated quickly

Yelp
It's a literal no for me. Food was mediocre. I feel like you could get a better meal from the McDonald's local platter than you can here's Food was a flavorless my avocado tasted literally like a spread from Taco Bell. The hostess was wearing flip-flops and very nonchalant about his job it's whatever you know times are hard and people are struggling, but Nina was amazing. I love her so much literally the best person ever. She deserves so much better! As far as the environment, obviously you can't go wrong with Diamondhead the great view. I love the rainbows, rainy vibes, but I feel like if I brought my Chihuahua for breakfast, it would've been stolen by the bird. The only way I'll ever come back to this place is for Nina. The rest of the company can go down like the Titanic

Yelp
- Solid breakfast spot with great food Visited Deck for breakfast and really enjoyed the food--everything was fresh and flavorful. The view and atmosphere made it a relaxing start to the day. Service was just okay, not bad but could've been a bit more attentive. Overall, a nice place to grab a good breakfast and take in the surroundings. Would come back again.

Yelp
Patio has a great view of Diamond Head. Service was great, food incredibly tasty. We split the spicy chicken sandwich and the deck burger. Drinks were unique too, not your average mai tai, permanent vacation. Also asked for a whiskey sour and they can actually shake them properly with egg white. All around great place for a meal and or just drinks! Lovely vibe.

Yelp
We came to Deck. a day ahead of our reservation for a large party event in order to give their menu a try. It's a bit different than you might expect, since there are a bunch of menu entrees that are listed as "family style." These will come out of the kitchen whenever they're ready, so not everyone might be served at the same time, although I'm sure that's the kitchen's goal. This isn't much of a concern when dining with just a few people, but with a larger party, it gave us pause. In actuality, it wasn't a problem at all, even with more than 10 people. Nice job! After both days of dining here, the only menu item that didn't receive a hearty thumbs up was the crab croquettes (needed more chili in both the croquettes and romesco sauce). Otherwise, everything from the chips and pico down to the braised beef loco moco were perfectly done. You can go to the restaurant's website in advance and find nice pdf's of all of their menus, which vary over the course of the day. Our waiter, Jordan, was friendly and enthusiastic, patient with dietary requests about the menu, and an all around superstar! He was attentive with refills on drinks and checked in reliably to be sure everyone was well taken care of. On the other hand, beware the pigeons if you leave your plate unattended! lol! We lucked out since the weather was great - sunshiny and a bit breezy, so the signature deck - open air seating area - wasn't searing hot or too cold (which I imagine can happen). While parking at the Lili'uokalani Hotel can be a challenge, parking across the street at the zoo is affordable and more easily accessible for drivers unfamiliar with this end of Waikiki.
