The menu of contemporary American–Pacific fare includes comfort-forward items such as a braised beef loco moco and barbecue lilikoi pork ribs; guests can also choose a signature prix fixe menu that allows personalization of appetizer, entrée, and dessert, and pair meals with handcrafted cocktails and locally brewed beers. We came here for brunch after our Diamond Head hike. The view was spectacular (see photos) and the food was hearty and satisfying, perfect for after hike. Service was so lovely and both the host and the waitress were very happy to chat with us. They have THE BEST Loco Moco here (and we've tried 3 other loco moco on the island). The drink menu looked so interesting and we regret that we didn't try any drink.

Our goals was to visit as many of the top ranked Yelp restaurants in Waikiki as possible while there. We Just dined at DECK, another Yelp top rated restaurant at the Queen Kapiʻolani Hotel in Waikiki, and wow, this place is fantastic! Located on the 3rd floor rooftop pool deck, the open terrace dining area has the most incredible view of Diamond Head I’ve seen. It’s practically right at your table, making it perfect for soaking in the scenery or snapping some great photos. The food was outstanding. The Caesar salad was a standout—crisp lettuce with just the right amount of cheesy flavor. And the braised short rib? Hands down one of the best I’ve ever had, so tender and packed with taste. The service was spot-on too—our waiter checked in regularly without being overbearing, which made the meal even better. Happy hour is a great deal with plenty of drinks at reduced prices, adding to the relaxed vibe. Plus, it’s right next to the zoo, so you can easily make a day of exploring this part of Waikiki. If you’re looking for delicious food, a chill atmosphere, and that unbeatable Diamond Head view, DECK. is the place to go!

Google
Beautiful views & exceptional service. Had drinks here last night & they played great music. Relaxed by the pool for a bit & their breakfast was excellent. Very short walk to the beach from here. We really enjoyed our stay & this restaurant was the icing on the cake.

Google
It has a Great View If you On top Of the Hotel , if you travel with pets and the army they don’t Bother you to clean the room since they are aware there are Pets In the room , very Nice People around , no complaints at all with Others Guests. Very small Being in the 16th floor But overall it’s very nice and good to sleep comfortable too. Doesn’t Include Breakfast And It’s Kind Of expensive. The Beaches Are right there Near the Hotel . The Pool Is small But really nice for the Kids

Google
Quality: 5 Quantity: 4 Service: 4 Price: 4 Ambiance: 5 Very nice ambiance. With respect to the direction the sun sets, it makes it shady and breezy on the deck with a very nice vibe. The food here is a little on the pricier side compared to a normal outing but it was all great food and no complaints. The service was good… pretty efficient.

Tiahna P.

Google
Service was questionable… poor management. The food was pretty good but by 8am they were sold out of the berries for their Tokyo style pancakes. Food took a very long time to come out. Basic hygiene should also be gone over with the staff. Also not sure who we spoke with, the manger? But I’m not sure why we were told “you always need a reservation here” when they were slow and that was absolutely not the case when I checked with the host.

Bailey M.

Google
Can be slow service but the food is good and you can’t beat the view. Definitely make a reservation but depending when you come there is a chance for walk in. Happy hour time can be pretty busy. I’ve been here many times, brunch, happy hour/dinner. The deck burger is very tasty and I recommend upgrading your fries to the truffle fries. I also like the guacamole and fish tacos.

Diana K.

Google
Wow… where do I even start? I came for dinner at sunset and the view of Diamond Head glowing orange and pink was absolutely breathtaking. The vibe inside is cozy and stylish, perfect for date night or drinks with friends! I got the Spice Girl cocktail (balanced, not too sweet, with a spicy kick!) and a double of Ilegal Mezcal that was smoky, smooth, and perfect. For food, I had the house wedge salad with lilikoi vinaigrette (had to swap dressings bc of my allergies) and Kauai garlic prawns 🦐 which was fresh, crisp, flavorful, and honestly one of the best salads I’ve had on Oahu! My friend ordered the fish tacos (mahi mahi katsu with lilikoi slaw and Hawaiian chili aioli) plus the truffle fries and house blonde ale. He devoured everything. And according to him, those fries are the BEST on island. Shoutout to Abby, our server, who made the entire night so special! She was warm, knowledgeable, super mindful of my food allergies, and genuinely one of the best servers I’ve had in Honolulu. If you come here, ask for Abby! She’ll make your experience 10/10.

Yelp
We were assisted immediately by a friendly hostess who checked on our reservation and let us know we would have our table in a few minutes. That gave me a chance to hurry out to the pool deck next to the restaurant and take a few shots of the beautiful sunset. Once we were seated, Melissa greeted us and took our beverage orders. She also made recommendations on the menu which was helpful because we had never been here before. Being a Sunday night, things were perhaps a little slow, but the drinks seem to take a while before they arrived at our table. Once again, however, Melissa continued to be very cheerful and on top of any needs that we had. She took our orders and we shipped our beverages while we waited. I ordered the barbecue beef ribs with the pineapple barbecue sauce. A unique and flavorful experience. The rib meat fell off the bone and were very tasty. The presentation was great so I didn't have to cut the ribs apart. My wife ordered the beef short ribs with the mashed potatoes. She enjoyed every bite on her plate. It made her day! The only negative note here would be the side of sweet potatoes. First of all, it was enormous, definitely not the size of a traditional side of anything. Secondly, the sweet potatoes really didn't have much flavor. I was expecting something a little more exotic and exciting, and they just fell flat. Fortunately, the manager was understanding and took those off our bill. All in all, you will enjoy the incredible views of the beach out front and Diamond head across the street racing magnificently in the picture window. If you are fortunate enough to get Melissa as your server, you are in for a tremendous treat. She is caring, considerate, and genuinely friendly.

Yelp
First of all, you get a nice view of Diamond Head which is absolutely amazing. The vibe is super chill and perfect for grabbing a bite or a drink while soaking in the scenery. This alone made the Kona Coffee and pancakes taste much better. Ha! I had their Tokyo style pancakes, and they were great. You can tell they care more about flavor than presentation, and I'm all for it. They do take a few minutes longer to cook than the rest of the menu, but that's not a big deal considering the view. The place is very chill and the staff is outstanding.
google avatar

Yelp
My family and I were excited to have our Sunday brunch here. Unfortunately the place was such a miss, I don't know if we'd visit again. The only positive thing about our visit was that the view was nice and the coffee was decent. The wait for the food was long, and our waitress was not very attentive (the place was not very busy). The waitress did not check in on us during the wait time and when asked she said that the items we ordered usually comes out "pretty quickly". After 45 minutes of waiting, our food came out cold. We had the braised beef loco moco and the tokyo style pancakes. The loco moco rice was hard and cold, and the whole dishes was bland and under seasoned. We were really looking forward to the tokyo style pancakes, but I have to say that was the worst souffle pancakes I have ever had. It was cold, gritty, edges were hard/chewy and had an off-putting flavor. The berry compote and syrup that accompanied was decent it didn't do much to enhance the taste overall.

Yelp
Had a birthday dinner party here, it was easy to get a reservation for 14 and they were very accommodating! Service was great! We ordered a bunch of food items. The truffle fries were a big hit! Truffle fries, Margherita pizza, chicken wings, chicken entree, fish tacos! Everything tasted good. Drinks were tasty!! I brought a birthday cake and they were able to store it in the fridge and they brought out knives and plates for serving! Great time here, want to come back when it is still bright out!

Yelp
Great drinks, great view, great people! I come to the deck whenever I'm in Waikiki and always leave satisfied. While many people gravitate to bars on the main drag, I consider The Deck to be one of the areas better kept secrets. Their house mai tai uses a classic recipe which is a refreshing shift from the fruity Hawaiian mai tai cocktail that most local bars serve. But don't take my word for it. Stop in for dinner or a drink and experience it for yourself.

Yelp
Those views. Swoon. Worth the overpriced fare for the beautiful views. I went for brunch and while I found the menu limited in the savory department, the Benedict was solid. They did have a plethora of pancakes. The English muffin on the Benedict could have been crispier, but I very much appreciated that they swapped out the potatoes for fruit. My colleague's moco loco was delish. They have a long happy hour, but ultimately I found their Mai-Tai's meh and extremely sweet. Overall, the views warrant a visit. Brunch was a solid one!

Yelp
I had breakfast here with a colleague on the last morning of our business trip and it was a great way to start the morning. We stopped in around 9am and were able to get a seat right away. The views from the restaurant are wonderful and they have seating in and out of the sun. We ordered the Eggs Benedict ($22) and Paniolo Loco Moco ($23) along with regular coffee ($6.50 with refills) and an iced latte ($7). This happened to be the restaurant at our hotel, and it wasn't too crowded when we were there. Our server was friendly and was able to bring our coffees and food out quickly and made sure we had water as well. The food matched our expectations and the portions matched the pricing (for Hawaii). I had the Loco Moco and it was filling and the gravy was very flavorful. My iced latte was also a perfect pick me up for the morning. I left feeling full and ready for the day.

Yelp
Amazing restaurant located inside the Queen Kapiolani hotel. Deck is on the 3rd floor of the hotel near the pool! I dined at Deck a few times on my recent trip to Hawaii! Every time was amazing and the service was top notch!! I want to shout out one of the amazing waitresses there named Macy, she was super nice and attentive! Deck has a great happy hour, brunch and dinner! This is one place I am really looking forward to dining in again! The views from this restaurant are stunning!!!! You have a perfect view of Diamond Head. It's simply amazing!! Check it out, I'm sure you will love it just as much as I did!
google avatar

Glenn L.

Yelp
This is a solid open air bar and restaurant at the Queen Kapiolani hotel on the 3rd floor. We had drinks the night before but hit this place for happy hour food and drinks. Mai tai drinks were ordered and we stuck with an array of appetizers. Truffle fries, calamari, giant wings, and a Caesar salad. The truffle fries were nice and thin. The calamari was good. The Caesar salad was very nice. With some large cheese chips in the salad. The wings were amazing! Big. Juicy, and still a bit crispy! We ended up getting a second order! This is not just a throw away hotel restaurant!

Yelp
I came to Deck in Waikiki for a baby shower this morning and it was a beautiful spot! Great for a baby shower! The view of Diamond Head is stunning, and even though we were seated outside, the shade canopy made it comfortable, and it wasn't too hot. I ordered an iced coffee, which was unfortunately a bit watery, but the haupia French toast was SO good. It had a crispy toasted coconut coating that gave it the perfect crunch, and I added a side of bacon which paired nicely. I do wish the dish came with something savory like potatoes or crispy hash browns to balance out all the sweetness.... it would've made it perfect. I'd highly recommend getting this dish, it's super unique. Service was great, our server checked in often and was really attentive. One downside is the aggressive pigeons that hover around your table and by your feet to try to get food, which is gross. The biggest negative to coming here is the parking situation. They "validate" parking but it still costs you $10.99 for up to 3 hrs. That's crazy when you spend $100 eating here. Parking should be free while you dine. I definitely think this is a big draw back for locals coming here. Overall, Deck is a lovely brunch spot with amazing views and tasty food. Great spot to get good pics with your friends!
google avatar

Jarrett L.

Yelp
Love the atmosphere. Beautiful views! And I had an amazing French toast burger! Yummy!

Yelp
Really, really cool view from this spot. Most bars in Waikiki go for the ocean view, but this spot nailed the Diamond Head view. Unique and pretty cool. They have a couple drinks on tap which were tasty and unique, but you pay the price for the view. Tons of seating, but really only one area that you really get to enjoy the view from. Service is okay. We went when it wasn't super busy and we got served at the bar when we asked for it, but it definitely wasn't above and beyond. A definitely must do for at least one drink.
google avatar

Jeneen M.

Yelp
We arrived an hour before closing but they had run out of sushi and some desserts which was disappointing. Service was ok just not super friendly, or very knowledgeable when asked about certain dishes. Our drinks took a while to come out, mind you two were fountain drinks and the other a simple captain and coke. Food was a bit better in speed and while they were actively cleaning and prepping for closure our food came out well cooked and portions were rather large. Two members of our party had salmon which they liked, and I had the fish tacos which were huge and fresh. I opted to add an additional which was a huge fail on my party as two were plenty. Decent meal overall but one of our least favorite dining experiences since being in Waikiki for the week.
google avatar

Jamie W.

Yelp
We went to Deck. during their happy hour. We didn't order drinks, but got calamari which was heavily seasoned and served with an aioli. The squid pieces were a bit small and it was a tad salty. The truffle fries on the other hand were lacking distinct flavor. I ordered the island spice rubbed chicken which was very juicy and flavorful. The short rib my friend ordered also looked good and well prepared. Their margarita pizza includes cherry tomatoes and is super cheesy. The service was lacking a little and it seemed that other servers were unwilling to help our table, and would always default to trying to find our waitress. So we had to wait longer for water refills, getting the check, etc. Overall, would skip out on the appetizers and order only main entrees. The proximity to Waikiki beach and patio area are strong positives for Deck.

Toshihiko N.

Yelp
Just chilled out while having a late breakfast with a beautiful Diamond Head view. Nice foods and Good services!
google avatar

Yelp
Great food! Mountain background and friendly servers. Ocean breeze and pool connected. Try the Salmon!
google avatar

Yelp
Deck is conveniently located inside of the Queen Kapiʻolani Hotel Waikīkī. Located on the 3rd floor, right next to the pool with Diamond Head as the backdrop. Beautiful view! We tried the happy hour menu and started off with a couple of Mai Tais. We also sampled the Beef Sliders, Calamari Fritti and Truffle Fries. All were very tasty and we received fast and friendly service. We came back to give their breakfast a try. We tried the Deep Dish Haupia French Toast and the Braised Beef Loco Moco. The food tasted great but came out luke warm. I'm not sure if they had new servers during the morning but the service was slow and I had to ask for refills on water repeatedly. I'm normally pretty patient but restaurant was fairly empty for that kind of service. On that second day, they fell a little short for me.
google avatar

Samantha B.

Yelp
4.5 stars! Awesome place off the main drag of Waikiki. Amazing views of diamond head and fun drinks to choose from either with our without alcohol. We came around 6pm and it was perfect for the sunset. My dad and I had the plantation punch mocktail and it was one of the best mocktails i have ever had. The menu is small if you cant eat seafood but get the short ribs with truffle mashed potatoes. My plate and others were cleared. This place gets packed during the week. Our server Melissa was veery sweet as well and couldn't do enough for you. My only qualm is they do run our of some stuff such as the coffee and dessert but this goes to show how popular it is.
google avatar

Carly G.

Yelp
What We Ordered: Mai tai Highlights: * Service: attentive, slower to seat us initially even though the restaurant wasn't full * Food/Drinks: very good Mai tai, not my favorite but unique almost cherry flavor to it, lighter in color than other Mai tais in Honolulu * Ambiance: cozy, huge seating area covered and uncovered, come here for the view of diamond head (will not be disappointed), relaxing * Price: reasonable
google avatar

Robin A.

Yelp
Enjoyed this as a late night dinner with family, and I am impressed they were able to seat our 15 top with ease and without much of a wait! They had a great selection of drinks and I enjoyed the feature of turning any mocktail into a cocktail, which I indulged in a guava based drink that was delicious. The food was ok though I didn't feel very full afterwards. I feel like their selection of entrees did not have as much variety as I would've liked. I went with the pork baos which were listed as an appetizer. We came at night which we were not able to see the beautiful views from the deck but regardless, the restaurant had a nice moonlit ambiance that my family and I enjoyed!
google avatar

Hannah D.

Yelp
In love with the view! Everywhere you turn is so breathtaking. My husband and I ordered a lilikoi margarita, a wedge salad (was amazing), fries and calamari! Everything was SOOOO good! Will have to come back again with the kiddos
google avatar

Yelp
Payton was awesome she absolutely murdered brunch with the crew bad day to be a mimosa
google avatar

Yelp
Relaxed, beachy rooftop deck by the pool with mountain views, great vibes on the 3rd floor inside the hotel; the burger was huge, fries perfectly crispy, and the French toast so good!
google avatar

Joy S.

Yelp
We had an amazing dinner experience. We were exhausted after flying all day but refreshed our spirits! The steak was full of flavor and tender. The potatoes were so comfort food! And the ambience on the patio is a lifetime experience. Service was gracious and appreciative.
google avatar

Sarah G.

Yelp
Brunch at Deck was delightful. We ordered the Tokyo pancakes with coconut sauce, French toast, scrambled eggs, and potatoes (which were a bit overcooked but still tasty). The pancakes were fluffy with a tropical twist, but it tasted a little eggy. The cozy ambiance made it a perfect spot to fuel up before heading out for the day. I also want to highlight that the service was great and our meal was about $80. Definitely worth the visit!
google avatar

Peaches H.

Yelp
Back again at one of my favorite spots. The view alone is amazing and is the icing on the cake to any cup of coffee. The servers are friendly and the vibes are flowing. The breakfast was good. Tried the loco moco for the first time today and the gravy was outstanding!-laugh away but there are vital parts to a loco moco that can make or break it! I'll be back!

Jay A.

Yelp
Deck has been my go-to place for any visitors from out of town, and it has never disappointed. Very friendly and capable staff, some of whom stop by to say hello even when they aren't in charge of our table. The food is top notch, and pro tip: happy hour is almost too good to be true! We also held a private event at the Leahi Room & Lanai for 200+ people in August, and they executed it flawlessly. Both local and mainland visitors raved about the whole experience, including the service and the killer views. We will most definitely be repeating events there in the future!
google avatar

Sheena G.

Yelp
Pros: views are so perfect, and our server was friendly. Cons: Unless if you like your beef patties super raw, I wouldn't recommend the loco moco. Had them remake it but it was still super raw. Even the server was shook and said "that does not look right at all". French toast and their lox bagel was probably the only good thing about our breakfast. Probably won't be back again unfortunately.

Yelp
Excellent service and good! I got the Braised Beef Loco Moco and it was amazing! Our server, Abby, was so sweet and attentive. And the atmosphere was perfect. Love the open air feeling. That coupled with the music it was perfect. Highly recommend!
google avatar

Yelp
We were able to get seated right away even though I made reservations it was nice the hostess gave us a view and was closer to the diamond head side. Really appreciated that. The ambience here is second to none. You get a beautiful view and it is limited seating here so feels not as crowded as in Waikiki. The food we ordered I closed eggs Benedict, Haupia french toast and paniolo loco moco with drinks - green matcha strawberry and not your oridinary mai tai. The loco moco wasn't the best and it needed seasoning. They were out of Tokyo pancakes so we got the French toast which needed syrup. Overall, definitely recommend but wasn't a 5. They didn't refill my water on a hot day, but that was OK. Giving it a 4. Jordan was great! He was wonderful and even if busy was able to handle all the requests. Felt the aloha!
google avatar

Jackie W.

Yelp
I've been here several times and the food is always great. This time I got the pan seared scallops and I'm so glad I did. Loved everything about it. The ambiance is cute. Great place for pictures as Diamond Head is in the background. Just didn't like the service this time. The waitress was rude and didn't talk or look at me but only addressed the other person I was with.
google avatar

Laura J.

Yelp
Absolutely loved this rooftop spot! Deck has such a beautiful view--lush green mountains on one side and the sparkling ocean on the other. It's the perfect place to soak in the beauty of Hawaii while enjoying an incredible brunch. Let me just say... the french toast was the best I've ever had in my entire life. No exaggeration. It was perfectly crispy on the outside, soft and rich on the inside, and the brioche was to die for. The coconut syrup took it to the next level--so unique and insanely good. My fiancé got the loco moco and absolutely loved it, and we both enjoyed our mimosas--great flavor and not too sweet. Service was great, everyone was friendly and attentive. I'd definitely come back here for brunch next time we're in Honolulu!
google avatar

Jamie M.

Yelp
We went here our first time to Oahu and have come back every trip- the food is always good, the view is beautiful, the service is always great, and you typically get seated quickly. We've brought family here too and they raved about it- must go to restaurant in the area for breakfast/brunch food.
google avatar

Yelp
I've stayed at the Queen many times over the years and always love the experience. It's like coming home!

Yelp
We came here to try this place out because our toddler was wanting waffles...we were excited to try this place out only for them to tell us that they didn't prepare enough waffles the night Before ... the place was not busy , and 10:30 am was our walk in time ... no excuse ... we decided to leave, but ordered our toddler to go kids meal, we waited 30 min just for a kids meal and 8 pieces of fruit in a cup! What a joke of a place
google avatar

Michael J.

Yelp
The French toast was so delicious, would definitely be back again! The view was amazing!
google avatar

Yelp
Overall, great experience! The atmosphere is perfect here, great view and the decor is adorable. Our server Jordan was very attentive and got us everything we needed. The drinks we ordered were delicious and very tasty. The garnishes were beautiful as well. Although, I was a little disappointed in the food. I ordered the eggs Benedict, subbing avocado for the ham. One of the pieces still had a piece of ham and both of the eggs yolks were overdone. For paying $22 I would've expected the poached eggs to be done correctly. On the contrary, the hollandaise sauce was delicious and all the flavors combined made a yummy dish.
google avatar

Paika L.

Yelp
Deck is not your typical Waikīkī food establishment with the exorbitant prices and small food portions. They have a wide selection of beverages (alcoholic and non-alcoholic). My friend and I got the Liliko'i margarita and the Mean girl mule and both were tasty. The bartender had a heavy hand (thank you). A few items we both loved: The Brussels sprouts (super 'ono) The braised short ribs Caesar salad Truffle fries You have a choice of indoor and outdoor seating. The outdoor seating is nice and great when the weather is nice. We got rained on the last 20 minutes of our meal, but we were pau eating by that time and wrapping up. No knock on the Deck since we know they don't control the weather. They hand out hand-held umbrellas when it rains. I'll still opt for outdoor seating when I return. The prices and food portions are fair. Parking is at the zoo (cheaper) or the hotel, where they offer validation (not full validation). I'll definitely be back.

3.5 stars for food, rounding up to 4.011 includes service & ambiançe. We chose a stormy New Year's Eve to visit Deck. The location and ambience are very nice, and the staff are friendly, helpful, and enthusiastic. The food was good, merely good and moderately uninspired. All this place needs to shine is to tweak their menu to be a little more refined, instead of feeling slightly rushed. Take the time to get a good Maillard reaction on the meat. Add a bit of punch to your sauces, and don't forget the seasoning. It wasn't by any measure a bad meal, but with all the competition nearby that are being careful with their preparations this meal felt sloppy. At the street level there is also a Deck coffee shop, which has wildly enthusiastic staff, tasty satisfying pastries and sandwiches, and pretty good drip and espresso coffees.

Yelp
Deck. Near Diamond Head is an excellent spot for brunch and breakfast. Great menu. Great service and stunning views of Diamond Head. It is our go to when in Waikiki.

Yelp
Beautiful view, make sure you check their hours, the kitchen was not open when we stopped by but the bar was so I was able to get a good drink.

Yelp
Stopped by for some drinks and a quick snack before continuing our day in Waikiki. The view is always a great photo op, especially for those who are visiting the island and want to get a pose in by diamond head. The drinks were good, but nothing that blew us out of the water, and we came around 2:15 so there was no wait to be seated. We still sat at the bar for quicker service as this was supposed to be just a short stop, and we were the only party sat at the bar, but it must have been around shift change time as it was a bit difficult to get quick service and took about 15 minutes for us to be able to flag someone down to close out our tab.

Yelp
I have wanted to try this place for a LONG time! The views were stunning and sunset was amazing. The food was yummy and we enjoyed the drinks (although the maitais were a little more sour than usual), the food was delicious, and the service was very friendly.
