Had a reservation, but still had to wait about 20 minutes before they sat us and then it was with the stipulation that we only had 90 minutes to do whatever we had to do. This was a pretty negative way to start off. Luckily our waitress, Makayla, was really great and she helped to make things better.
It was Thanksgiving Day and they offered a turkey dinner for $41, but my friend and I split a Waipoli Caesar Salad from the Happy Hour (3 to 6 pm) Menu and the half chicken with vegetables from the regular menu. It's nice that the HH Menu is good everyday, even on this holiday, because it saved us a few dollars. We also split the chicken ($32). The food was very tasty, although the salad was a bit heavy on the dressing. Our waitress misunderstood our order and had the kitchen put chicken on our salad, but she quickly took the cost of the chicken off our bill when our order was corrected; we ended up keeping the chicken on the salad and it was juicy, tender, and delicious. The little parmesan crisps that came with the salad were great, too.
The half chicken was a bit on the small side. We both looked at it and thought it looked more like a large Cornish game hen instead of a chicken, but it was enough. The veggies that came with it (4 stalks of asparagus, and 4 sticks of carrot over a bed of julienned carrots and red cabbage) were very good and not overcooked, in fact, on the more crunchy side. Between the salad and chicken, we were both satisfied and just full enough. Happy with our dinner and our waitress, so would be happy to return again!
