The Best Rugs for Your Dining Room Table | Eater

"Interior designer Curtis Steiner selected a subdued-palette rug for the bar’s relaxed seating area to serve as a foil for the jewel-toned furniture and objects, toning down opulence and anchoring a more laid-back, comfortable vibe." - Samantha Weiss Hills

Cool spot. I believe it's still trying to find it's place here in Ithaca. Meaning who the crowd is for but I have to say I like the stage and the sound 💗 It has a Nice vibe for bands and parties and events. The food was good as well. I was there to perform for the Bob Marley's Tribute fundraiser for New Roots. I had a great time and I believe others did too.

The music was great. The bartender decent enough. However, we would not have paid the $10 cover if we knew that the kitchen closed 20 minutes before the advertised time. Why follow your own schedule when you can leave people hungry? We won’t stick around to find out.

It's a cool venue with a decent setup for shows and talent for a small bar. Also, they have an outside deck area on the water next to docks on the lake. Tap selections very small. Bar doesn't seem that clean overall. Every table I've sat at has had a strong wobble to it. There are no real food options, and it's not the type of place to order a cocktail either. It's vibe gives mostly a cheap entry spot for decent local talent or organizations.

Visited deep dive to see the seven wonders band. What a great show! Although I didn’t get any of their names all 3 bartenders were amazing. With as full as the bar was you only waited a matter of minutes for your drinks

Comedy On The Commons Open Mic is great. It has a great stage, great sound and lighting to practice your comedy and get real feedback with laughs! Come find out why I say "Life's a Joke, find the funny." See you there every other wed. so see you Sept 27.

Attended their Queer Disco on 7/4. What a fun atmosphere - we were able to see fireworks from the deck overlooking the water.

Had an amazing time at the Whiskey Tango show. Barstaff was friendly. Also ordered a burger and spiedie chicken sandwich with fries from Babe's Burgers (inside the bar) and it was absolutely delicious.

Google
5 stars for the music setup, acts they book, and lovely waterside deck, which are compelling but really the only reasons to come here. One star removed from the otherwise 5-star rating for these features only because their covers are a little out of control, given the other downsides. It's not a great place to just hang out and have drinks with friends: scant, uncomfortable seating, lousy, overpriced beer & alcohol selection, inexperienced or maybe just bad bartenders, and if you're coming for a more well-attended event (popular band or holiday like NYE), maybe consider wearing adult diapers because at least one of the bathrooms will become NFG during the night.

Yelp
Very cool club with awesome sound system and great vibes. Simple setup, great mix of customers which seemed like a mix of locals, college students and out of town visitors. Staff was very friendly & accommodating! Great experience and will definitely return next time I'm in town!!!

Yelp
Poor bar service. Maybe 8 people at the bar and we waited 20 minutes for a drink. The bar clearly wasnt prepped properly before opening. Totally unorganized. Its like this every time we go there.

Yelp
Nice venue with diversified musical and cultural offering, good PA and sightlines. Terrible bar staff...RUDE...and not attentive, poor drinks. Smoke weed on the deck or have your cocktails elsewhere before you arrive.

Yelp
Beyond excited to see this space come back to life! Ithaca veterans may remember this space as The Dock or Castaways in previous years, but Deep Dive as the new venue on the block is already showing great promise with a line-up of spectacular musicians already slater for their opening months. Ithaca has always needed a medium sized venue where not only locals can shine on stage, but growing bands on tour can pop in for a night packed with music enthusiasts. The pictures and rumors swirling about the menu and the staff have me absolutely hyped. See you all on the dance floor!

Yelp
Z-z-z-z-z No bottled beers available. $8.00 glass of generic Chardonnay was a bit more than I thought it deserved. I was there to hear a band that had been heavily promoted by friends, but even though the music was good, it was hard to get into it with the other ~20 people after the $10 cover charge. Their web site plays it up like it is a swanky hangout for the local hipsters, but it appears to be just another extension of the Salty Dog and Captain Joe's Reef. I am trying not to be overly critical (I loved the Salty Dog in its day), but please don't pretend to be something you are not.

Yelp
Best bar food in Ithaca. I didn't think I'd be talking about the food from a place that was more of a bar than a restaurant. The fries are addictive. My guess is that there's truffle in the seasoning and it's perfect. Wings are killer and the slaw pairs perfectly Vibes for the couchtheband show were immaculate. It brings me back to when the Haunt was still around. To be honest the service was great, but the drinks were just fine. All around if you're looking for good live music and good, simple pub food this is the place.

Yelp
went here with a few friends last Friday. everyone bought a round of drinks and tipped the bartender. as soon as we sat down the door guy began to harass us for "donations" for "live" music even though there was no live music he then proceeded to tell us we need to leave if we weren't going to donate. manager tried to apologize but door guy already ruined the mood.
