I visited to catch Cure for Paranoia, and I never knew this place existed. This is a chill venue, that offers a fully stocked bar with friendly bartenders (Derek stands out), but also has a variety of non-alcoholic options. I highly recommend visiting just to check it out!

Google
I went here the other night for "3 ball MTY", and my friends and I had a misunderstanding about a venue's policy, which they were able to come to an understanding with us even though they were in the right... We had an AMAZING time after and i just wanted to say we greatly appreciate both, Justin and KB, for comprehending our situation and taking time out of their night to come and talk to us.

Google
Awesome venue and incredible staff! Just went to a birthday party celebration here over the weekend and had the best time. Very accommodating venue and the art was the icing on the cake. Super cool vibes! Oh and dope tie-dye shirts for the win! 👌🏼

Google
Nice intimate venue for live music and great outdoor areas. Good beer selection and cool art. Had a great time here. Highly recommend.

Google
Came here for the first time to see my favorite local band and it was a great time. Venue had a nice bar and staff was friendly.

Google
Pretty nice and spacious. Interesting art to look at... sound was great for the DJ event. I'd say come early to get a good parking spot. Not many spots around the building due to construction.

This was our first time being here, and we came out for a special night of Thursday Night Therapy that was taking place here. I really enjoyed the atmosphere, the art, the massive back patio area with another stage, and the people in general. Everyone there seemed to be helpful and friendly, and even the boys was there helping out and working on things. Not sure what it's like on a regular day/ night, but I definitely recommend visiting this place. They've got some cool swag, too- pins; hats; shirts; etc.!

Google
This is one of my favorite places to go see live music in Deep Elum. Wonderful concept offering a unique place to showcase local artwork for sale. The music sound system here is awesome. It shows that John LaRue (owner) cares about quality sound. The downside about the inside venue is limited seating. If you are handicapped or limited in your standing, you need to get there early before a show to claim your seat. However, Christan, at the bar, is always happy to get us older folks some fold out chairs. This venue has a wonder outside area with picnic tables, wicker seating area with loveseats, and chairs. Also, game areas with outdoor games. At times, they will have food vendors, but it is not very often. Just drinks for the most part and some bagged chips. Also available are water and merchandise. They have a unisex open restroom with a private heavy door stall and a sharing of sink. If you're not into that type of restroom, go outside the backdoor and to left are private women restrooms to right are private mens restrooms. Parking can be another obstacle due to ongoing construction on the streets. There is parking behind and also the street behind across that street in the Police or transit parking lot substation. We love going here, and the staff is awesome. We love going to see live music and support local musicians and art.

Yelp
The atmosphere here slams! We love it! Everyone working here was super chill and helpful! This venue is so eclectic and an awesome place to rock out. Drinks are SO reasonably priced! We saw Geographer here and loved it so much. Bathrooms are clean which is super rare in places like this. Definitely check out a concert here.

Yelp
Very cool mixed use venue. There is an art exhibition going on and music at the same time. Great dual use of space. Venue is right sized, and can host indoor and outdoor. Good bar options. Clean safe bathroom stalls. Free parking on the road. Entry price was super reasonable (but I HATE the extra online fees). Really enjoyed this venue!!

Yelp
Attended the Art Battle this last Saturday and really enjoyed the amount of space available for everyone and the activity itself. Such a unique and beautiful concept! I do wish there was a little more structure to getting people to move in a circle as many people moved to the front and didn't move which was frustrating to many attendees. Would have enjoyed it more if employees were able to ask them to stand back or something to keep the flow of traffic going

Yelp
We drove from Abilene to Dallas to see a concert here We saw The Bygones and they were OUTSTANDING!!!!!!!!!!! Check them out on YouTube and you will discover 2 great and talented musicians. This is a TERRIBLE venue for a concert. They had a mix up with the tickets. The sound system is terrible for good music. It might be ok for recorded bass heavy music but was not even close to being good enough for live music. If The Bygones we're giving another concert here , I would go but I would encourage them to bring their own sound system or either choose another venue. This was their first ever concert in Texas so they did not know the venue By the way, The Bygones were great! Their guitarist is as good as my Dad and that is a huge compliment

Yelp
I love everything about this venue! Had bestie boo not told me anything about it I would have never known since it is a tad off my radar. But now I have a good excuse to come on down to Deep Ellum! If you are an eclectic soul who loves art, people, good music and supporting local then COME HERE! They do events just about every weekend that include live music and even fire dancers!! There is an indoor part that has a bar and then an open area outdoors on a beautiful evening. We were able to browse around and they had local vendors with pretty artwork and various items to buy. Inside there is a dance floor and lots of open space to move around. It truly was a unique experience and I want to go back especially on a day where they are doing these various events. Bring cash to buy some stuff and support these local hardworking artists!

Yelp
I was here for several events such as the Dallas Art Battle and Pancakes and Booze. Great place to have an event and a venue since there's also outside seating. The bar has some good options but the serving portions are small, but are strong.

Yelp
Overall really cool venue, but their music could be a little louder. There are also mosquitoes so don't forget your bug spray for outside. The bartenders and rest of the staff are super cool!

Yelp
the entire bench came out from under us, I was left out of breathe on the ground The city needs to shut this down EXTREMELY UNSAFE

Yelp
Fun place to visit. Their murals are beautiful inside and out, the back patio has games you can play with

Yelp
I've been to this venue at least 10 times in the last couple years & my experience has always been pleasant but Friday night I was physically & verbally harassed by one of the security guards for simply throwing balloons in the air into the crowd. The security guard grabbed the balloons from me & threw them on the ground & then proceeded to grab me by my shoulders to shake me & said "what the fuck is wrong you?! Fuck you fuck you! If you don't like it then you can get the fuck out!" All while he was physically flicking me off in my face with both hands. My friends let one of the bartenders know about the altercation & I left home in tears. Literally ruined my entire night. Will not be returning to this venue as they allow this kind of behavior from their employees.

Yelp
Such a cool and beautiful venue! We had a company event here and it was such a unique and picturesque place to get together, and the staff was very attentive and friendly. I wish they were located in my city, but I definitely want to hang out here next time I'm in town!

Yelp
The shows I've attended here have been great with very clear sound and an eclectic and friendly crowd

Yelp
I had the opportunity to see a fantastic young act (Dazz & Brie out of central Arkansas) at this beautiful art gallery/music venue. The staff was professional and hospitable. We enjoyed the mix of seating options, such as tall tables vs sofas. The sound quality was good, which is appreciated when most local music venues think louder is better. I should point out that, due to an illness, I have special needs for a few weeks. The staff was just excellent to my family and it was really the only way I could enjoy the evening. I don't think they were aware of my challenges, which means they treat all customers with this TLC. Great, great job. I can't wait to return when I can enjoy it even more.

Yelp
Anytime that there is cool artwork showcasing local artist, great live music, good beer, and a killer outdoor area, you can count me in. They have a good variety of beer and the facility has a good layout (lots of bathroom stalls is always a huge plus too!!). We spent a while looking at everything in the walls, which is all for sale and at great prices. They have something for everyone. Dare I call it a party gallery? The staff were nice as well, which is always a plus. The owner was there and took the time to tell us about his goals of creating a space to promote great vibes by supporting local artists and quality music in a relaxed setting. I ended up buying a painting by Dan Colcer (he did the mural at the Armoury) and am stoked to put it in my dining room. I'll definitely be back, including on non-show nights

Jon A.

Yelp
Friendly, gracious and fun -- love this place! Whether inside for a band with a killer light show, or relaxing in one of Dallas' most underrated outdoor spaces. Can't suggest Deep Ellum Art Co enough! Good drinks, nice local beer selection. Fair prices. Cool merch.

Yelp
Who knew in my own backyard was such a great Sunday venue for taking the dogs and the children and listen to EZ jazz! The perfect way to spend a Sunday afternoon!
google avatar

Lorenzo H.

Yelp
I so enjoy Deep Ellum Art Co. it's all about the art and the staff for me. I love the opportunity to enjoy local artists, and friendly bartenders that love where they place their personal tools. Please ask them to explain their Craft Cocktail dispenser!
google avatar

Yelp
Saturday afternoon and music is bumpin, people are having a paint off, and the drinks are flowing. DJ working the crowd hard. We stopped here for a moment from the party bike and it was well worth it. Fun times!

Yelp
Very cool place. Great music. One of the best music venues of this size and has a huge backyard

Jeremy W.

Yelp
Great mix of touring and local acts. Excellent staff and the best bathrooms. Art and music are featured and the art yard where you can be who you are

John K.

Yelp
Great spot for live bands...Small enough to allow an intimate experience where you can comfortably see and hear! I will always avoid larger venues in town, when spots like this are booking great bands. I used to come here years ago when this space was the Galaxy Club (and saw some epic shows from bands like Bedhead and Spiritualized in the late 90s). It's much nicer now...no longer the dingy divey concrete square it was then...sound is better now too! Great place to spend an evening or afternoon listening to live music....

Kirk H.

Yelp
Why have rock bands if you don't understand rock crowds? Small mosh pit: violently broken up. Crowd surf: ejected instantly. Saw security assault multiple guest in the name of "safety" which is a beautiful form of irony. These bands aren't Travis Scott, they care about their fans and will look out for our best interest so everyone has a good time. The performers were vocal about how unprofessional it was, the fans hated it, but the security/managers thought they were gods. If you are a rock performer I beg you not to do business with these guys! They don't respect us or our music

Yelp
My new favorite bar in Deep Ellum! If you are looking for trendy place and who appreciates great art this place has everything you need. Art on the walls are breath taking, music funk to rock to just great local bands. Patio is large with food truck and wooden benches for you to relax and enjoy beautiful Texas weather. They have their own specialty drinks but unfortunately did not have a chance to try. The only problem I had, around this area there is not much parking spaces. You'll be fighting with rest of the world to get the parking spot. Other than that, this place is amazing!

Yelp
I can't really write about Deep Ellum without tearing up a bit because so many of my greatest post adolescent memories took place on Dallas road trips. I have seen the likes of Ministry, Live and Frontline Assembly in Dallas in the marvelous bohemian complex that was Deep Ellum but is now literally nothing more than shell of its former self. I did happen to find a few treasures up there amongst the forsaken buildings and closed up shops. Twisted Root, Baker's Ribs and this Art Park. On this day the artists were busy at work on their pieces which appeared to be done on canvases on stone. The variations were numerous but they all shared a common theme. Brilliance. In this case a picture is definitely worth a thousand words and in my case at least twice that so I will leave it up to you to view them. I just need to say that this latest generation of Dallas techies has apparently left what was the soul of this city to wither into dust. I just hope that wherever the spirit of Dallas has relocated to, they treasure it as much as I had treasured Deep Ellum in my youth.

Yelp
It was a really nice venue. Very open. Parking was tricky but it was around the corner from a well lit 24 hour parking lot that was 5 bucks. The drinks were a bit high. 18 bucks for a beer and a glass of wine. The staff was friendly.

Yelp
This place has it all and we had no idea it existed until stumbling upon it! The atmosphere here is a place my friends and I would love to hang out at whether it be a sunny spring day or even a cold rainy one, like the day we found it. A woman greeted us near the entrance and told us about fun events like flame twirlers and other nights coming up in the next few weeks. There was a baby shower being set up when we walked in (goals, amiright?) and a fun crowd around the bar. We went out back to their HUGE backyard area that had cornhold and other fun games. The bathrooms were large and extremely clean! We will be back

Yelp
I'm going to give five stars to this place because I think it's a great spot to hang out with your friends family either daytime or at night and what I like the most is that they have different types of food so everyone can choose what ever they like, the drinks are great too. In general it is a great place to spend a great time

Yelp
Top notch venue. Great bands, up-and-coming performers, and good drinks. Special, "long room" for performers, means good sound throughout. Younger, under thirty crowd. Cool folks. Not such a well-updated website. Best to follow them on Facebook.

Yelp
Hands down one of the most legit venues in Deep Ellum! Huge outdoor patio, they run the full gambit of music depending on the day, various food trucks, live art yard, art for sale (very reasonable prices), friendly staff, kid friendly events.... do yourself the favor and visit this place.

Yelp
Really fun to take pictures at but super hard to get to with the yelp navigation. Overall fun but not much to look at you can spend around 15 mins here
google avatar

Yelp
Great venue. Cool friendly folks running the place. Very nice space. Clean and safe. Open mic nights are definitely worth checking out.

Yelp
We came in for the pizza festival. It was an amazing venue with a very friendly atmosphere. The staff was top notch, very kind and accommodating. It was refreshing to see a nice, respectful doormen in deep ellum. People were trying to sneak in drinks and he politely told them they could not do that. Our bartenders were Dustin and Alex who were very professional and remembered our drinks after one visit. They had a great beer selection, and there was awesome artwork everywhere you looked. I would highly recommend visiting Deep Ellum Art Company, and we can't wait for pizza fest 2020!

Yelp
Get ready to indulge in a vast array of artistic expressions! As a performer, I can't begin to tell you how special of a performing arts venue this is! The staff is incredibly supportive, the sound and lighting are unparalleled and the art gallery displays creative expression from incredibly talented local artists. The bar menu is a tantalizing blend of beer, wine on tap and craft cocktails. As you transition to the art yard (where you can experience live art exhibitions) the sensory overload continues! Thank you for celebrating us artists/performers!!! I wish you much success!

Kathryn G.

Yelp
It's a good dive bar with a great patio. I'm giving it 3 stars though because $9.75 before tip for a plastic Dixie cup sized Moscow Mule is ridiculous. To make matters worse, half of the cup was filled with ice only leaving room for a few sips. They don't put any prices on the board for craft cocktails and maybe I should have asked, but seriously didn't expect it to be that high. I won't be going back. If I'm spending that kind of money, it should be at least a regular size cup.

P D.

Yelp
Two stars because the beer prices here are too high...eight dollars for a draft in a small plastic cup? Come on.

Kiran S.

Yelp
Went to a show here last night that was awesome. Venue has good vibes and a friendly atmosphere. They have an art showcase on the side wall that is cool to check out before the headliner plays, will probably buy a piece there sometime for my new apt. Gender neutral bathroom is a nice touch, as well as the cool artwork and 24 beers on tap.

Ella M.

Yelp
Spent NYE here was a great party and space to hang out. There was an array of different music to enjoy and friendly crowd.

Dustin B.

Yelp
Best venue in deep ellum. Amazing art indoors and out doors, with some of the nicest, and cutest staff.

Stephen F.

Yelp
If you love live music and good beer this is the place to me. large space that features great art and always good music. Great to see a venue focused on supporting the live music scene. Jam Bands galore and always great creative programming. Bates, Kervin and John are a few of the people who make this place great and not to miss!!

Yelp
You know, it is actually nice to see the pillars and what would just otherwise be concrete blocks painted with some pretty cool art. I like the fact that the art really adds some character to Deep Ellum and it makes walking my dogs through the area a little less boring. I've also noticed that people do go out and touch up the art every so often to keep it looking nice. It's worth taking 10 mins to walk through and see the cool paint jobs that people have done.
