Deep Indian Kitchen Review - Columbus Circle - New York - The Infatuation

"Deep makes some of the best frozen Indian food out there, and we advise you to get to your nearest South Asian grocery store and pick up a box of their chicken korma ASAP. Luckily for us in New York City, Deep also has three restaurants here where you can taste the family’s food made fresh in house. At their three counter-service locations, you can build your own biryani, kati roll, dosa, or salad, with you choice of protein like chicken tikka or mushrooms. If you go for a dosa, you won't be getting the big crispy crepe most places serve—it's more like a taco in an uttapam-like shell. But it's a fun vehicle for unconventional dosa fillings like lamb kofta and even pulled pork. We usually go for the Live Fire Feast (their version of the thali), so we can get rice and dal on the side. Choose your spice level, then decide between a bottled mango lassi or a ginger cane drink." - Neha Talreja

What a disaster they have done to the popular Indian dishes. We wanted to have some quick dinner but it turned out to be the worst decision ever! Tastes bland, no authenticity with flavors, and takes forever to serve. In the name of biryani they give flavored rice topped with gravy and panner. The rolls are just fried bread and that same gravy panner. Only the chhole was okay in taste but again it is served with nothing good. Unnecessary oil and chopped tomatoes everywhere. I hope the management look take reviews like mine seriously.

Deep Indian Kitchen in New York City is a culinary treasure trove of authentic Indian flavors. From the first bite to the last, every dish is a testament to their dedication to quality and taste. Whether you're craving classic curries, aromatic biryanis, or crispy samosas, Deep Indian Kitchen delivers with excellence.

Loved this little location in the flatiron district next to my new office. I was very impressed by the setup of the location. It was very organized and setup for self service. Very progressive in its approach. If you like the traditional style of ordering you may not like this place. The colors the lighting it was all very well done to be honest I thought they blended everything together well. Food: Kati Chicken Roll - 10/10 - These were so freaking good. It was on par with Kati Roll in midtown. The portion size was great and the chicken to vegetable ratio was very very good. I loved the spice, even though I must warn, the medium is a bit spicy. Overall it was very filling and not overwhelming at all. Vegetable Samosa - 10/10 - These came three in a pack and was packaged in a nice bag. These were so good almost like bite size appetizers. It was a different approach because I often feel like samosas are full meals themselves. It was nice to be able to have bite size portions. The seasoning flavoring and all spices were just perfect. Overall I can see myself going to this place more and more as we get back to some sense of normalcy. Overall a very fantastic experience. Well done Deep Indian Kitchen team.

Google
Good Indian food, fast and incredibly friendly service! I came here with an exchange student from Pakistan during Ramadan so she could break her fast with familiar food. All of the meat is Halal so she was excited to have many options. One particular guy behind the counter was super friendly and helpful and made the experience particularly enjoyable. The food was good in the exchange student approved. I am grateful to the staff at deep Indian kitchen for a good experience.

Google
Used to frequent the chain when it first opened as Indikitch. Over the years the service and quality have certainly declined. Most recently they cut down on the amount of curry offered in the “feast” significantly. I mean just look at the ratio of rice to curry. It’s a shame. No wonder their Columbus circle location closed down.

Google
The food was great. Got the Tika Masala with spice level 1 and it was a good amount. It has a different sauce than I'm used to, less creamy, but really good flavor. We came in the late evening and the service was quick.

Google
Indian place for non-Indians ! First things first, calling chicken over rice as ‘ Biryani ‘ is stupid & it is worst . The chicken tikka roll was decent . Should have avoided seeing no Indians in the spot and kids in the kitchen. My bad !

Google
This is a nice place, spacious and lots of seat for dine-in. They don’t do the in person counter ordering anymore, it’s via kiosk now. The menu has options for feast (platter), kati roll and dosa. Personally I always liked the vindaloo sauce with chicken tikka. Their kati rolls and dosa are worth trying too. They have excellent mango lassi. Our orders took about 20 minutes to get ready. Looks like they prepare online and in store order sequentially, so it’s just better to order online ahead of time. You earn reward points too for online ordering. I was disappointed with my naan, it was stone cold, barely could tear it. But the rice and chicken was good.

Yelp
The food is quite average here. It used to be better when they were Indikitch earlier. We had ordered paneer Kathi roll and a combo thali. Earlier paneer used to have nice smoky flavor but now the paneer filling is super tangy which I didn't really enjoy. Also the Kathi roll was quite soggy! The dal was nice in the combo thali.

Yelp
Came here with my boo and we tried some dishes. The biryani was good but not spicy enough!! My boo ordered that one and he requested it be 4-peppers spicy. They gave him three different hot sauces which he placed all of them wholly into his biryani with chicken and it was still utterly mild. NYC is a diverse place, please up your hotness game! I got the chicken curry with the add on of rice, dal, and salad. The rice and dal were meh in taste, and the salad was fresh. When we first walked in it was slightly busy. By the time we left it was packed. They have lassi flavors in a bottle instead of made fresh. That was a tad disappointing. On the plus side, they don't leave the meat out to spoil. They cook it right in front of you before serving. There is a small wait time, but it's worth it for the quality. Inside was spacious and a little bit dark. They also had stairs leading up to more seating, I believe. This could be epic if they make a few more changes. It is great to have fast food Indian cuisine that still tastes good and isn't oily or greasy like most fast food joints. Happy eats!

Yelp
Went in to order chicken tikka masala feast for lunch take out. This time got a samosa also. The order was prepared within few minutes. Tikka masala and naan was delicious as usual. Was little disappointed with the samosa, wasn't as flavorful.

Yelp
I am surprised it has taken me this long to try indikitch. I was impressed by how well indikitch has implemented the concept of fast food Indian. For my first visit I got a bowl of dal, a lachha paratha and a chai. After I placed my order on one of the tablets my name was called out within five minutes. The dal and paratha were as good as any you would find in a regular Indian restaurant (take your pick--Tamarind, Junoon). And the chai exceeded my expectations--the quantity, the mix of spices, the taste. As with any good Indian restaurant, if they get their dal and chai right, chances are they know what they are doing. And the prices were quite reasonable. The lofty space and ample seating (at least when I visited in the afternoon) were an added bonus. Clearly fast food comes with a price--most items are not freshly prepared. But if I had to implement fast food Indian from scratch, I would not change a thing. Whether or not Indian food lends itself to a QSR format is up for debate, but indikitch certainly delivers on the promise as best as anyone can.

Yelp
Quick service. Good flavors. Right prices. This spot is conveniently located in the heart of Flatiron. The restaurant has cool decor and chill vibe. They have great chai that's not sweet.
google avatar

Minger M.

Yelp
Perfect, quick and inexpensive. Finding all three qualities in one restaurant in a busy part of town is extraordinary. I get the Kathi roll with chicken or chicken tikka biryani. The spicing is on point. And touch ordering speeds up the service. I'm looking forward to trying more of the menu.

Yelp
The staff at Deep Indian Kitchen is also friendly and accommodating, making for a delightful dining experience. The biryani is made with fragrant basmati rice, tender chicken pieces, and a blend of aromatic spices that create a complex and satisfying flavor profile. Customers have praised the dish for its generous portions, reasonable price, and overall taste. So if you're feeling adventurous and want to try something new, be sure to give Chicken Biryani a try at Deep Indian Kitchen!
google avatar

Shengyu G.

Yelp
It's always a good place to grab quick work lunch. The space is pretty big and chill. All the ordering is through their automated system. Food is prepared quickly after placing my order. The place is like modernized Indian franchise but it tastes just like authentic Indian food. I got Chicken Biryani and samosas on the side (3 pieces per order). They all taste so good! The only down side is their food selection is limited. I wish they also serve lamb and fish. Also, no mango lassi available. What a bummer.

Yelp
I have been going to the one at Midtown for years, but lately, I have been visiting this spot since I work downtown on the weekends. It is a great Chipotle-inspired Indian restaurant. I love Indian food, and it has a lot of different options that I can try. Will continue coming here. Spacious, clean, and quick service.
google avatar

Seby I.

Yelp
Freshly made hot onion pakoras (fritters) were made for me today at Deep. In India, I would have it with hot tea but I prefer tea at home so I had a mango milkshake that came sadly from a premade bottle. The pakoras had a chutney and were tasty. The milkshake was mediocre in taste. The incessant drizzle reminded me of the monsoons and in passing Deep I went it for nostalgia. Samosas are also quite authentic although I don't think the rest of the food offered is totally authentic. Now frozen Deep entrees are sold here and a variety of snacks mainly of the chikki(brittle) variety. Some cost only the princely sum of one dollar and worth every penny. Service here is friendly and kind.

Fabian M.

Yelp
Food is decent. However they seem to have changed their menu options in terms of customization. You used to be able to customized the entire meal for the feast combo but now you cant choice sides or rice anymore. They did add butter chicken to the menu but i used to like the customization. Service was goos thought and not the employee fault that it was changed. Probably not going back again until they change it back or make another change.

Yelp
I have NEVER experienced more inefficient food service than at this food establishment. This place is in desperate need of a good manager. I waited nearly 30 minutes for my food.

Honest O.

Yelp
Chai had too much cinnamon and sugar. It tasted like chai latte from Starbucks instead of indian chai. Might try some food later. Update: Food is good and priced well. Became my go to spot while I stayed nearby Updated from 3 to 4 stars.

Yelp
Me and my friends were hungry and found this spot on google. This place did not disappoint. The food here was really good. My friend got the chicken biryani and I got the live fire feast and got the chicken with the saag sauce. Both were really good. I really liked how the feast meal came with some sides especially the nan! Loved how this is like chipotle styled place. You order on tablets which made it easier for me to order as I never been here before. Portions were great, Overall would come back whenever I want some quick Indian food!!
google avatar

Sara E.

Yelp
Think Chipotle level of customization with Indian flavors. Hip, modern industrial cafeteria style decor. Super helpful staff. Touchscreen ordering. Choose a main (chicken, paneer, etc, sauce (saag, vindaloo, etc) rice, salad, naan and add ons. I opted for vindaloo paneer with the spicy lentils, cucumber salad and garlic naan. I did two scoops of chile and ended up asking for more. Peanut chutney and turmeric too. Tumeric Honey Iced Tea too. Super flavorful, especially with the third scoop of chilies. Lots of food. I could se this being a regular place for me if I was local. Wish there were more protein options, but I was perfectly happy with the paneer. Great place to fuel up and wait for my place in line for the Harry Potter store!
google avatar

Emily M.

Yelp
Despite this place being designed for you to have no human interaction with the staff (order from a computer, pick up from a counter after your order is called) there is an automatic $2 gratuity added to every meal, unless you manually adjust. Food is subpar, naan is especially terrible, if you get it. Loads of people kept trying to get the attention of a person to tell them that their naan was forgotten, including a few delivery orders. Super slow service for what it is- took over 15 minutes for the food and the place wasn't even busy, I wouldn't want to see how long it would take during the "lunch rush." Choosing what meat you want on top of your rice, with no other toppings hardly strikes me as "chipotle style" which seems to be what they're going for. Need to go back to the drawing board here.
google avatar

Yelp
I spent much more on worse tikka yesterday. My wife and I just got the kati rolls to see if we liked it. It was about $10 and came with 2 rolls. The chicken tikka inside was tasty. The bread was fresh and held up well. It was absolutely delicious and a good value. They filled the rolls up really nicely. I would come back and get the exact same thing.
google avatar

Maria W.

Yelp
Good price for the amount of food and quality. I got their paneer feast meal and it's delicious. I love their packaging, especially how they separate the rice from the side dishes. The staffs and manager are very nice too. I can't eat chickpeas, so the first time I ordered, I just left the chickpeas in the bowl and threw it away. The next time I went, I ask if I can get extra rice instead or another side, and they agreed to it. Even though Deep Indian is like a fast food chain, the food is done with love and quality. Their sauces are perfect. I love their creamy masala sauce. This is a place to definitely go to to fill yourself up. I see many construction workers who come here. I think it's a healthy lunch where they give you rice, main dish and vegetable.
google avatar

Katarina L.

Yelp
As a new Indian food convert, I was excited to finally try deep (formally/maybe still indikitch). I am still a bit confused on the menu but all you need to know is it's Chipotle for Indian food. You pick a main, and let them ask you the rest as far as side options. I got Chicken Tikka with chickpeas, yellow rice, and beets. Although even the mild was a bit spicy, it was a pretty great little lunch. Everything was tasty and packed with flavor. I think I may have liked the chickpeas more than the actual chicken tikka. The space inside is beautiful with plenty of tables to sit and enjoy your lunch there. Our group of 8 even found one no problem. After 12:00 this place does start to get busy, but look where they are. If you like Indian food but don't have time for a buffet, you should definitely give Deep/Indikitch a try.

Marcus L.

Yelp
Ordered for delivery and food was over an hour late. Food was all cold and did not taste good. Would not order from here again
google avatar

Adam I.

Yelp
Like most businesses that fail, this one is a major failureand set up to fail. The employees here could care less about this business. There are no working kiosks to place an order. Employees did not want to take my order, so I left. Message to the owner. Fire these women you have working here. They don't care and actually want you to walk out so they don't have to do any work. Fix your kiosks. You have a huge store with no businesses. I'm sure many people walk out daily. Stop the bleeding and fix it or just close your doors. The food smelled good, but if you can't get it out from the kitchen to the customer, then just close your doors already. Good luck !!!! I won't be back.

Yelp
Indikitch is our go to for indian food when in NY. Tried this location last week. This location was spacious and I liked the service. Their biryani isn't like traditional biryani but is still really flavorful and good, better than most biryanis i have tried in NY/NJ. Also took one live fire feast and it was really good as usual

Vegas L.

Yelp
Got the coconut curry chicken feast meal. It was good for what you pay for. Chai could've been a little more flavorful though. Naan was delicious.
google avatar

Nupur M.

Yelp
The order took 35 minutes to get made, so I missed my train. Finally, I got home late and turns out they gave me the wrong order! I am vegetarian and they gave me both the dishes with chicken! Very frustrating and disappointing.

Sam P.

Yelp
Awesome, authentic Indian food and truly great people. You won't regret trying it out!
google avatar

Ruchika C.

Yelp
They opened a while ago, almost 7-8 years ago. I love their food. Never ever disappointing. Flavors of different sauces, makes it want you eat more. Every time I am here, it's the same taste! Love it! Keep delivering the best
google avatar

Yelp
Great Indian spot in a place where there aren't a lot of options. Not very expensive. Fast casual restaurant.
google avatar

Chiara S.

Yelp
The food was AMAZING! Cheap and nice option to eat at in this neighborhood if you're in the mood for Indian food! Unfortunately they were understaffed when we stopped for dinner and it took more than 40 minutes for us to get our food, but I think that can be easily improved by hiring more people. No complaints anyway on my part. The food was delicious and worth the wait!

Yelp
The ongoing pandemic has definitely taken a toll on a lot of businesses and public places since a consumer's mindset to buy anything outside of essentials or to visit a public place like a park or beach, has crippled down significantly. Now by living with what has become the new normal, it is commendable on how these businesses and public places continue to remain open and cater to the general public by following the safety standards. It is now all the more important that we as customers, support these heroes during these dark hours to mankind. I've always been a fan of Deep Indian Kitchen ever since I tried at one of these eateries when I was a tourist to NY. I was charmed by how they made an Indian version of a Chipotle or a Subway in a very authentic way. Now I live in NJ and getting to eat at Deep whenever my wife and I visit NY is customary. It's a shame that some of the locations have closed down in this pandemic time and this is one of the few that are still surviving the tough times. I was close to the 8th Ave location and finding it closed down after getting there was heartbreaking and determined to get one home, I called this location at 23rd street, confirmed that they are open and then took a taxi to get to this place. Gayle on the phone just said, "Come on over!" I was surprised by how big this place looked on the outset unlike other hole in the wall type of Deep eateries. If not for the pandemic, I'm sure this place would have been filled to the brim. Times have changed with the checkout too as they have mobile apps to now make your pickup orders in addition to the self-checkouts that they already brought in. I ordered paneer dosa tacos and Channa masala Kati roll (didn't opt for the usual biryani this time though). Got a chance to talk to Gayle and she mentioned about how the app could be a convenient way of ordering ahead of time and about the new points system in place. They even had a table for outdoor seating now that Spring is here. The taste is standard-awesome with any Deep eatery and it's the experience that usually stands out. I rate this place a 5-star for the strict social distancing they enforce through seating arrangements and mandating masks-wearing for the customers and staff too and for the lovely ambience this place carries. This will definitely be my future take out (hopefully a sit and eat too) place.
google avatar

Leslie C.

Yelp
Ordered the chicken tikka dosa. Delicious. Not the thin big round dosas I'm used to. They were more like chicken tikka tacos but very tasty nonetheless. Quick service, nice location.
google avatar

Laura M.

Yelp
Quick and delicious, one of my new favorite go to lunch spots. Wish they had it near my house in NJ!
google avatar

Jess L.

Yelp
My friends and I got indikitch for a recent catered event for about 20 people. Overall, they were really easy to work with over email for ordering and had a clear menu, though on the day of, we had trouble getting in touch with them to confirm the location and floor. Not the end of the world but caused us a little stress. The food itself was nice, and the labels and utensils were very helpful. We really liked the mushroom main, and the saag was good but a little spicy. Overall, the dishes tasted a little too salty. We also didn't notice the 15% fee for the utensils and such until we got the final bill, so that was a little bit of a surprise and a bit of an upcharge. I'd say just be extra thorough when you're ordering for catering.
google avatar

Urcilina G.

Yelp
Food was great! Service was quick a very good. Ambiance is very nice. I will return again

J B.

Yelp
Waited almost an hour to get my food. Avoid or plan way ahead. Terrible service and only focuses on delivery orders not pickups or people who order in person. And they gave me the wrong order. I tried the food anyway. Samosas were good, but everything else was slop. Watery sauces, terrible tasting biryani. Definitely skip. There's lots of other Indian options in this neighborhood. This is basically expensive McDonalds Indian that takes forever to get after your order.
google avatar

Tyler L.

Yelp
This a fast casual chain that serves Indian food Chipotle-style. The portion, prices, and containers are very similar as well. The menu is very simple to order from. At the counter, you choose what kind of meat, which sides, and which type of "sauce" (curry). The sides offered include different kinds of rice, several different vegetables like chickpeas or cucumbers, or nan bread. For the meat, I had the chicken tikka. I found it to be very good actually. The meat was very moist and the spices were very flavorful. Portion sizes here are a little small though. This place is good for a quick lunch, but if you have more time, there are far better and authentic Indian places with more food at lower prices.
google avatar

Austin G.

Yelp
Indikitch is a chain, but one that's worthy of a visit, especially if you're short on time. This location is in the Flatiron District and offers some diversity in an area dominated by Italian food at nearby Eately. Indikitch is an Indian fast casual restaurant so it feels like Chipotle. You walk in and go down a line. I recommend the "feast." You get a protein, sauce, rice, and a few sides. I ordered the chicken tikka masala and it was excellent! There is plenty of seating inside with two levels, but it's easy to grab and go. If you love Indian, it's worth a try!
google avatar

Morena A.

Yelp
Great food, the restaurant gets busy during lunchtime. Food had tons of spices and seasonings which made it a delicious meal to have. I highly recommend the chicken biryani. Inexpensive dish and a large portion, you can't go wrong with that.
google avatar

Eileen H.

Yelp
I really love this place.Fast service and great food. MY go to order are the paneer koti rolls with oinions level 2.I might be going to level3 soon yummy

Shelley L.

Yelp
This was my first time at the 23rd Street location. I am familiar with this chain as I've dined at the Columbus Circle location often. You can't go wrong with the chicken tikka masala here. The lines are long but don't be intimidated. It goes at a decent pace. There is a good amount of seating and seats do turn over fast. If you sit at the communal style tables, there are hooks underneath for bags. There's more seating in a small area upstairs. Ordered a chicken tikka masala feast. Got the basmatic rice, classic dal, cucumber, garlic naan and regular chicken tikka masala. There is a choice for spicy chicken should you desire. I like that they heat up your meat per order and that it moves down the line in an organized manner. After getting a soda, the total was about $13. I wish the garlic naan was more heated up. It was lukewarm since it was tucked underneath the platter but piping hot would have been so delicious! Would certainly visit this location again if I crave Indian food.
google avatar

Andrew D.

Yelp
Saw that this place had a bunch of reviews on Yelp and since I was in the area, I decided to check it out. The best way I can describe it is an Indian version of chipotle. I wasn't expecting much but was pleasantly surprised. The food was very flavorful and you could taste the spices in the chicken tikka. It was spicy but not overwhelming and had a nice depth of flavor. The garlic naan was good to use for dipping on the chicken tikka. The only negative I guess would be that the portion sizes were small for the price. It came out to around $30 for 2 orders of chicken tikka and a side order of samosas.
google avatar

Noah D.

Yelp
I love deep kitchen and which use to be indikithh. I am glad they didn't get rid of the classic. I was dissapointed one day when it was off the menu. The staff is friendly and very helpful. There has been less staff after the pandemic . They make you feel like home. Really like the saag and paneer and baigan bharta.. Authentic taste. I also like that it is less smoky. It used to be where the smoke from the kitchen would fill up the lower level. Upstairs could use some air circulation. At times it feels stuffy. The bathrooms are clean which is important. Wish they wouldn't guard the utensils and napkins. Although I do understand the old system of suspends probably didn't work. People still need spoons and napkins even though it's indian food. Ha ha. 5 stars for consistancy and serving authenticity with welcome vibe and cleanliness!!

Yelp
Hi. Nice to meet you Indian Chipotle. I had a lovely experience here. Make sure you grab a menu when you get on the line. It can be a bit confusing for first timers (me). I decided to go with the feast. I was starving and wanted food ASAP. Feast comes with your choice of protein, sauce it's prepared in, type of rice, salad and the type of naan for under $13. Really not terrible for all that food. It's not all that spicy, but certainly flavorful. Garlic naan is delicious and rather large. I was satisfied with the meal. It's quick and decent amount of food. Clean restaurant, helpful staff, overall a pleasant experience. I'd stop by again, if I were to see it.

Yelp
I actually saw an Indikitch takeout bag on the R train going home one day: the subway rider had it on his lap and I was about to ask him where this restaurant was and he got off at his stop. I immediately Yelped it and saw that it is in FlatIron where I work. I love Indian food and was excited to order today for lunch. My favorite dish is Chicken Tikka Biriyani thus this was going to be the first dish I order. I'm used to it coming with sliced cucumbers, tomatoes, raisins and tender chunks of chicken. I read the reviews and decided to try it. I could choose my spice degree and such. It was good but disappointing:the pics posted on Yelp were accurate: it looked like mushed ingredients, the presentation could be improved. The portion was ample and worth $10 but something was lacking but I don't know what. The cucumber raita was tasty and cooled the spice off a bit. I didn't order Naan, due to eliminating bread but it's a necessity when eating Indian food. The samosas were crispy stuffed with potatoes and peas and spicy. They come in a trio and cost $3.50. There are the usual sauce accompaniment. The delivery was on time and the meal came hot. All in all, average Indian food at a good price. I'm willing to give it another try with tasting other dishes. I'll keep you posted...

Yelp
Indikitch or deep is like a 3.5 star experience for me. Although I love the idea of chipotle style Indian food but lately their quality has deteriorated big time. Also their feast is expensive for the quantity. During lunch time this place is super crowded, so in order to avoid long line try going in before 12 or after 01:00 PM. If you go for the feast then you get two spoonful of salad, 2 spoonful of dal and literally two-three spoons of rice. Their naAn is really Flavorful and their paneer rolls masala or palak paneer(curries) are amazing too. If you can take spicy food then only ask for spicy or very spicy as they don't joke about that. Sometimes I find the mild is good enough for me too to avoid any heartburn later. I like the dosa here better than the kathi rolls nowadays. May be I am not a big fan of kathi roll roti but I love the flavors in the dosa. If you order the kathi rolls or the dosa it comes with the standard tikka sauce and you can choose your protein or meat options and spice level. I do visit indikitch when I want to get a quick bite for lunch and craving Indian food.

Yelp
Finally a subway for Indian food! The quantity is a lot and it is priced pretty average. Say hello to good and fresh Indian food! P.S - Deep is a popular frozen Indian food brand! The restaurant allows you to choose between mild, moderate and spicy depending on your taste bud ! Feast - As the name suggests, an elaborate feast for your tummy! this plate consists of a variety of options to choose from: 1. Rice (Basmati, Brown, saffron) 2. Side salad (carrot, beet, cucumber) 3. Dal (dal makhani, dal fry and chole) 4. Naan (roti, garlic, naan) 5. Vegetarian options for main course( paneer tikka, mushroom kadai, saag paneer) I generally chose brown rice to make the meal slightly healthier. I love their dal makhani and dal fry both. Try their saag paneer for a new experience instead of the regular paneer tikka! (Must have) Biryani - I never expected this much quantity. Excellent paneer biryani! Not very oily. The rice is served with yogurt and pickle. (Must have) Dosas - totally avoidable. Have had better at several places

Yelp
I have always loved this place. And this time, I had a mulligatawny soup (a veggie version only) and a side of chickpeas. It tasted so good. I always tried their feast and kathi rolls. Feast is quite heavy and keeps you full for hours and kathi rolls are a feast in your mouth.

Yelp
The best way I know how to describe this place is like an Indian chipotle. The portions are huge, reasonable, and service is great. OMG, just a heads up, I did have left overs for quite some time coming here. They alo are vegetarian/vegan/gluten-free friendly. I ended up getting the Kati rolls with chicken, You do get two, which is probably double the amount I could eat. Normally, I would expect a paratha from a kati roll. This place uses naan instead to make the roll. All in all, a pretty good spot. They do have a biryani and a "feast" option as well.

Yelp
Like everyone has been saying, this is Chipotle-style Indian food. Only slight difference is that they load your sides and then the protein portion is served piping hot from the stove. I had the "feast" with chicken tikka, chickpea dal, saffron rice, and garlic naan. Super filling and somewhat spicy (even though I got mild). I had the blood orange lemonade which was sweet and minty. I like that it wasn't watered down with ice. It's just kept cold in a fridge.

Yelp
Used to be a great place for quick Indian contemporary take out. What's changed after the many chain locations? 1. Stale rice - The saffron rice especially is stale-dry and only about 80% cooked for Indian rice. probably they are repeating from previous day which will explain the dry hardness 2. Oily entrées - bad cholesterol alert! quite generous with the oil they are adding to chicken tikka u certainly get many drops with each bite even the mushroom kadai. 3. Stale salads- salad's taste overly fermented especially the beets, you can tell it's more like the left over you have from your fridge after couple days! Overall it's disappointing to see a good Indian chain going to drain.. this place used to be my go to a few years back when I used to work closely and they were Indikitch and not Deep! In the recent times have tried a few times ad-hoc and not once the meal has been satisfactory!
