Golf Review: I’ve been coming here for the past 5 years, the place has gone DOWNHILL. They now charge $170 per round during peak season, the greens keeper doesn’t keep the greens in the excellent condition they used to be in, and the MAJORITY of the hole locations are in awful locations (2-3 feet from the fringe or near the top of spines - not per USGA recommendations or how the architect intended I’m sure). The ranger came around twice and told us to keep up right against the players in front of us, see picture.. I’m not sure how much closer we could get and we finished the round at 12:20 (started at 8:17). Charging $170, placing the holes in impossible locations, and rushing people to sit on tee boxes… no thanks! I WOULD RECOMMEND THE PARK (or ANY PALM BEACH COURSE), POMPANO PINES, OR JACARANDA OVER DEER CREEK (EVEN PLANTATION FOR $100 IS OVERALL MORE FUN)

Today I visited this golf course and had a very disappointing experience. While the course itself is stunning and well-maintained, the staff's behavior was unacceptable. They were constantly interrupting our game, and their demeanor was incredibly rude and unprofessional. It's a shame because the setting is perfect for a great day of golf, but the staff's attitude completely ruined it. I hope management addresses these issues, as this could be a top-notch course with the right team in place.

Deer Creek Golf Course was the absolute perfect venue for our wedding! From start to finish, everything was exactly to my liking, and the entire day exceeded my expectations. The waterfall made for a breathtaking ceremony backdrop—it was so beautiful and added such a magical touch to the moment. The staff at Deer Creek were amazing to work with. Everyone was professional, attentive, and made sure every detail was handled flawlessly. A special thank you to the day-of coordinator, who was incredible at keeping everything on track and ensuring the day ran smoothly. They truly went above and beyond to make sure we were happy and stress-free. The venue itself is stunning, and the entire team made sure it looked picture-perfect. Our guests couldn’t stop raving about how beautiful everything was! Thank you, Deer Creek Golf Course, for helping make our wedding day unforgettable.

I recently visited this golf course and, unfortunately, had a disappointing experience. The course itself is beautifully maintained and offers a fantastic layout for a great game of golf. However, the staff significantly detracted from the experience. They were frequently interrupting our play, and their approach was often rude and unprofessional. It felt more like harassment than assistance. It's a real shame because the course has so much potential. With better training and a more respectful attitude from the staff, this could easily be one of the best golf courses around.

If I could leave ZERO stars I would. Came here after work on Friday and was here for an hour on the range. Came out to my car and my window was shattered and all my belongings were stolen out of my brand new car. Deer creek wanted to accept NONE of the responsibility to this happening. And now I’m out a few thousand dollars due to the damage done to my car on THEIR property. This place is horrible, will never return here or recommend this course to anybody. This is a semi private course and they should ABSOLUTELY have done the right thing by trying to fix this problem.

Overall it's probably the best public course in Broward county. The course is in very good condition from tee to greens. The greens run smooth, true and relatively fast with undulations. It's one of the rare find course in S. Florida that offers plenty of hilly and elevation changes. Almost every hole offers a pleasant driver experience for those who like to bomb the ball at tee shot. Imagine the feeling of driving the ball from an elevated tee box to a straight wide-open fairway in S. FL. The course looks easy without intimidating hazards yet it's not easy to get good scores.

Enjoyed a wonderful day of golf with my husband. The fairways are long and the course is quite pretty. There were some dry patches - but it is summer in florida :) afterwards, treated ourselves to a late lunch.

Really nice course. Terrible management of pace of play. We had to give up after 14 holes after paying $180 a person for a round. the Ranger was weak because he couldn’t do anything and he was part of the slowness problem because he would sit in his cart and talk to people while we were waiting on the tee. A terrible experience and very weak management, including the assistant manager in the pro shop. Lame!

I go to deer creek at least 3 times a week and suddenly the employees want to be rude. They over book the course and act like they have the best prices around when there course is no better than pompano municipal. The place is going down hill. $175 for this

Place was horrible. The customer service was pathetic.. waited at each hole before playing, ended up only playing 12 holes and decided to just leave. Definitely recommend finding another course, plenty of them around. Guy at the front should be fired, was to busy to help do anything except run my card.

Came here for a wedding on March 5, also know as 305 day. I was honored to be a plus one of for my friend and attend this brunch wedding. I think the bride made a great choice in good getting married here. For starters, who doesn't love a beautifully kept golf course? The day was beautiful and made for a perfect outdoor ceremony, which took place near a lovely waterfall/ pond. The sound of the water and soft music made for the most romantic setting. Once the bride and groom said their vows on to the cocktail hour. The mimosas were so perfect and paired perfectly with the light snacks being served. Mini empanadas, plaintain filled with ceviche, Quiche and pigs in a blanket were all served as we chatted with other wedding guests and shared our favorite parts of the vows and ceremony. Then on to the reception! Another mimosa? Yes please! We ate an amazing variety of breakfast foods, I loved the omlet making station and the waffles. I would totally recommend a brunch wedding at this location and have already told so many of my friends about what a cool experience this was.

Fun course, great conditions, helpful staff, full range. It should be for $160. I will be back at some point this winter or next.

Staff was very friendly and the events specialist was very helpful and gave a great detail of information. I look forward to visiting in the near future to play golf

Just recently reopened under new ownership. Tee boxes, fairways and greens are in great shape. Lots of weeds in the rough and all the bunkers are unplayable. It appears they are going to rework them.

Jan 2022, loved playing this course. We played the front 9 only, and I must say the greens are well kept. What I like about this course is that you are not playing on Flat land, it is a hilly course, are greens are beautiful in my opinion. It reminds me of the Westchester, NY courses were there are lots of hills and trees. I hated playing at Pompano Beach Muni Course, that course is flat not challenging at all, and greens not well kept, lots of dry patches. The staff in the pro shop, and bag drop could not be any nicer to us. The restaurant food was good and their staff especially our waiter named "Gift" was wonderful. All and all, we can't wait to play there again with our LPGA Fort Lauderdale Ladies group.

Worst golfing experience in south Florida to date. This is a churn you out place that neglects the true golfing experience. They time the games here and have staff in carts to bark at you when you're too slow. We had delays at the pro shop in payments that affected our tee times that weren't resolved in our experience resulting in consistent barking from staff members about being slow. Then once completed the golfers behind us trying to start fights with us due to this and then additional staff heckling us on our play speed. Golf is meant to be enjoyed not churned out by the hour to maximize Money. While the course was beautiful and challenging it was the lack of true golf etiquette from the staff and poor training there that makes this a horrible experience no one wants to go back to. Shame on you!

Super pretty golf course. But do not play if your a beginner golfer or hitting shots above par. The golf rangers were constantly hounding us to move faster. Seems like they were overbooking - We paid premium prices on a Sunday morning and almost every other hole were being asked to move along. It made our golf game not relaxing and unejoyable. Will not return.

Large bar lots of tables inside and out. Golf course right outside. Nice greens great flower Orders the onion soup n philly Cheese steak I'll let you know hehe Onion soup great nice and cheesey, the beef broth was spot on lots of cheese, the Philly cooked the way we asked , veggies on side.,so good. Plus you get a Choice of Cheese . Plus one side we both had the Cole slaw I lived how it was shredded. Light on the mayo done well.

Beautiful course. The driving range is well maintained and has nice putting greens plus chipping

Great golf course and friendly staff for visiting golfers. I highly recommend if you're in the area and want to play a round of golf.

Golf course is good, very good condition especially for a public facility which I'm sure they get a lot of play. Not that this is deal breaker but the attendant in the men's locker room is extremely rude and has been every year we play there on our vacation. He seems to be a miserable person but doesn't need to take it out in the patrons. He gives the club a bad name

We didnt use the course but we did use the range. We went Sunday afternoon and it was pretty busy. We fit into two spaces and bought a large bucket of balls. Deer creek is a public golf range and very nice for it being public. They had swinging lessons going on and a putting green to practice on as well. The staff was very friendly in the golf shop and the locker rooms were extremely clean. We look forward to going back.

Fantastic Place for a Golf Tournament. Friendly Atmosphere. Great menu for lunch and dinner. They provide quality food and excellent service. I had a chicken Caesar salad & was part of a golf committee of 20 people. They were crowded yet made room for us.

I just had a very very poor interaction with the staff member that leads me to leave this review for a club that in the past has treated me relatively okay. I arrived at 605pm to hit a bucket of balls. Something I have done many days in the past to much success. The ability to hit balls after working hours is a benefit of Deer Creek that apparently doesn't exist anymore. I was told at 610 upon putting on my golf shoes and walking into the clubhouse that I was unable to hit balls as sunset is now quarter till 7 and they needed to clean and pick the range. They have a sign front and center on their price sheet that says that last token sold at 615. A large bucket takes me at maximum 45 minutes to work through, meaning I would be done at the latest 7pm. At that time there will still be multiple members on the range hitting balls. I received poor customer service, even after letting the staff member know I was a regular who lived 1 mile away and had just played the course the day before until after 7pm. It does not get beyond playable here until well after 7pm. She said she wasn't going to argue with me and if I took my business elsewhere "so be it if you're going to be like that". Disappointing. Disappointing for those who want to work on their game and choose this course.

Terrible Mother's Day experience. They assign you a table with your reservation so people were walking in 20 minutes late and getting sat immediately. Even though we were 15 minutes early we had to complain before they finally sat us at another table number. But they were indignant as if we were being unreasonable. We could have gotten past that if the food was good, but it was cafeteria quality. Everything was over salted, luke warm and just of poor quality. The desserts were better and the New York strip was ok, but the rest was just terrible. For $36, it should have tasted WAAAAAYYY better. We could have chosen a number of better spots for brunch. Will not be returning.

Played Deer Creek Golf Club during the Memorial Day Weekend. Not overcrowed and an excellent pace of play. The staff were excellent they were very attentive when we arrived while we were getting warmed up and after the round. The course was in fantastic shape. Fairways were plush, the rough is penal so stay out of it. The sand traps are a well maintained. The greens roll true but do not hold approach shots very well so you need to land them soft. Overall a great experience and will be adding Deer Creek to regular play list.

The restaurant is very pretty but there are only two vegetarian items on the menu - pasta primavera and eggplant Parmesan. I came here with my family twice and both times we waited a very long time for our food. The food was good though!

I love playing this course because of it's level of difficulty and the condition I can usually expect it to have. The people working at the course, from valets to caddies to pro shop staff are always friendly and nice. My recent round found no exceptions to this, PLUS I played really well. Clean sweep I'd call it. Fairways are in very good condition considering it's the end of August and many courses tend to burn up by this point. The greens are difficult but not impossible and pin placement is reasonable and they roll nicely, probably about a 9 on the Stimp-meter.

I had an extremely poor experience at this golf course. Customer service was horrible and the course was not up to standards for the price you pay. I've lived in Boca Raton for about a year now and haven't experienced such horrible service just disappointed to have my whole day ruined due to staffs mistakes.

By far this was the worst restaurant my husband and I experienced while on vacation. Both had stakes. While mine was not cook the way I liked to eat it. I ask the waiter Jeff if it could be cooked more. He was gone 2 minutes with my steak. I cut into it and it was still raw. I was told by him I could take a 25 Dollar steak home and cook it myself with eggs for breakfast. Needless to say his tip was a big zero. He is the reason no one should go to this restaurant. If you should go to this restaurant to eat. Avoid a waiter named Jeff from New York!!! He is the most rudest person I have ever encountered.

Great Day. Course was in great shape. A group of us travelled from DC for a guys weekend and we ended up having a Fivesome. The starter was great and told us that we just needed to keep up with the group in front of us. Great service. The course was in great shape and we had a terrific time. Will definitely play again.

Well the morning started out good on this course by the 12th hole the ranger came to us and said you if these guys catch up to you they'll be mad because they're members. Mind you we only 5-6 minutes behind pace and they double book our time. And we were a group of 4 the other cart said a different time. I'm sorry we paid good money to golf on this course. The staff in the pro shop cart guys and the refreshments girl were spot on everything else. The one member we encountered got mad at us because he ran into our ball we hit, saying you need to yell fore we did but he needs to turn his hearing aid up. Definitely taking my money elsewhere where we're treated better. Edit we also finished in just over 4 hours maybe 4 hours 15 minutes

This was the worst experience on a golf course I have ever endured in 30 years of golfing! The starter Max from the gate was rude and arrogant. I honestly felt like I was at the DMV and was treated as so. By the 6th hole we were harassed by the ranger 3 times. The place was backed up and poorly managed by the starter who placed blame on us when we left the sixth hole and returned to the clubhouse to ask for a refund. The manager Marty Martinez was equally rude and disrespectful to the women in our group as well as myself . After a heated debate they eventually refunded half our money but refused to refund the full amount. I feel bad for the starter who clearly felt uncomfortable going up to the groups passing the starters inaccurate assumptions to quicken their paces regardless of the domino effect of crowded tees he caused. I have never in my life experienced anything like this on a golf course in my life! I strongly suggest if you enjoy a relaxing day of golf to stay far from Deer Creek!
