Amazing place to grab an early morning sandwich! A lot of different sandwiches that are made to order! If you are gluten free, they can make u one as well! No issue! The staff is super nice! Highly recommended to get some food before your hike! Get there early, the line gets long… Thank you

Google
Came here for breakfast before exploring the valley for th day. The food is pretty good, as will as the service. Th raspberry pastry I had was excellent! Great atmosphere, early in the morning anyway. We had a screaming kid so we probably offset that a little 😂. Recommend checking this place out!

Google
This is a nice spot to pop into and warm up or cool off if you’re in the area. They have open seating, a fireplace and it has a cafeteria vibe. Great spot to hit up for a bite or a break. The food was great for the price too.

Google
Was hoping to dine in at the loft. However it is close for some reason and we ended up buying from the deli. They have limited amount of selection to choose from. I ordered the Pastrami sandwich and the soup of the day which is Bacon Potato soup. Sandwich is okay, as it taste very normal for me. Not really memorable. However, the soup is quite tasty and I enjoyed it. Prices is a bit high, which is expected when your buying food inside the national park.

This is an upgrade to the Yosemite Lodge cafeteria. The sandwiches are delicious and servers are set and welcoming. We had salmon, chicken and BLT, Roast Beef, all great choices, especially in Rye bread! Totally worth it to walk a little to get this meal!!

Absolutely delicious water. I miss it 😢. Cozy place during early spring. A lot of tables . Free wifi. I feel lucky for people living here.

Google
Perfect little cafe for after hikes around Yosemite. Cozy fireplace, lots of seats, many different good options for food. The Peet's was a hit.

We have visited Degnan's Deli in our last 2 trips to Yosemite. It's a great place to rest and recharge after some adventures. The chili and the pastrami supreme are both good. I only wish they were open later! The staff is really nice - the cashier, Jesse, that checked us out is so upbeat and friendly that I remembered him from last year, and I really appreciated his positivity on both occasions. You can choose to just go about your day like normal, or to bring some energy and cheer to everyone you talk to, and Jesse definitely does that!

Yelp
I came here on a weekday afternoon and it wasn't too busy (didn't have to wait long in line and easily found a table) but there was a sizable group of people at the various lines (coffee, hot food, registers). I opted for one of their cold sandwiches because they were all 50% off (sell-by date was the day I was visiting) so it was a pretty affordable option. The sandwich was alright but it's very much similar to the prepared sandwich you would get at your local grocery store (can fill you up but not amazing). Though they do have a lot of food options so I definitely recommending coming here if you're in Yosemite.

Yelp
Whenever I write a one star review, I like to point out my overall statistics. Out of nearly 400 reviews, this will be only the seventh to receive one star. I save one star reviews for cases of horrific customer service or blatant food safety violations. The customer service here has been great. Unless you file pest control under customer service? (I blame Aramark.) Last week, I was enjoying my favorite sandwich from Degnan's: the hummus plus bacon. The sandwich was alright. I don't love their bread selection, but the ingredients are all right. I was eating and working on my laptop when a RESTAURANT MOUSE ran out from between my feet. I was sitting in my favorite seat, which is the booth in the corner opposite of the fireplace. Now, I know you may be thinking-- it's Yosemite, of course there are mice. Well, there are mice everywhere, but they're never supposed to be inside of restaurants. And we're not talking about a kangaroo mouse, a chipmunk, or a squirrel. It was a deer mouse, which is the only kind I've ever personally seen in a restaurant. It didn't come from outside. It came from the wall between the kitchen and dining room. From inside the wall behind the booth. I've worked in restaurants for about twenty years, and rodents are just not an acceptable issue. This isn't a common thing that secretly happens everywhere. Throughout all my years, I've actually only seen a small handful of mice inside of restaurants. It's just not okay. Period. Not even in Yosemite. Never. Gross. Couple this with the fact that we know that the rodents in Yosemite can carry plague or hantavirus. Hantavirus can be transmitted through dust, which would include a rodent walking across any of the surfaces, ingredients, or utensils used in food preparation. Theoretically, I think you could catch hantavirus from eating here. I left immediately, and have no intentions of returning any time soon.

Yelp
Pretty standard cafeteria style food! They serve Peet's code and sandwiches, carry chips, etc. they also serve "Yosemite water." I got bagels here. The bagels were good, filled to the brim with cream cheese as posted in the photos. :-) Service was fast as we came early in the morning, and staff were nice! The ambiance was really nice as well, there's a fireplace and lots of seating.

Lakshmi C.

Yelp
Got their only vegan option, which was a sandwich with hummus, tomato, onion and cucumber. Added extra avocado on there. It was just okay. I guess that's the most we can expect in a national park. But given it's Yosemite (which is pretty touristy), we expected better! Wish they had GF bread.... Would be helpful for people who are on a gluten-free diet. Staff were helpful but the taste was meh. They also had one vegetarian sandwich option, which came with cheese and veggies.

Nikki V.

Yelp
Had hummus sandwich, all vegan - was very decent. Wasn't super expensive, 9 bucks for a decent sized sandwich. Austin has been more expensive than that, Peet's is in the same place too for a quick coffee. This place also has very clean restrooms.

Kerri A.

Yelp
I was pleasantly surprised by just how delicious and satisfying my chicken caprese sandwich turned out to be! Service was friendly even with a bit of a wait as they toast each customer's sandwich before moving to the next. The coleslaw, though teeny tiny, was also good and paying cafeteria style was quick. The line got super long behind me so timing seems like a factor. I was able to grab a table with a view of the fireplace and thoroughly enjoyed my chicken caprese toasted sammie!

Chi L.

Yelp
I went last year for sandwiches, and today, went for coffee and quick snack. 1) Clean and modern look 2) Bathroom very clean and modern 3) there is a fireplace there, which is nice, when weather is cold 4) Employees/workers there are super friendly. 5) Ordered sandwiches, the sandwiches are very good. and good to take outside for picnic. 6) They also sell bowl of chills, not sure whether there are other soup option or now. 7) I don't know how crazy or crowded in summer. I went in May and last year went in april, not that crowded. And today is big rain, still have a lot of people.

Ashley C.

Yelp
Degnan's is a great spot to grab some food before or after your hike. We went for breakfast and it wasn't too busy. There were seats and tables inside next to the fire. Wish they had some music or better lighting to make it more lively though, it felt like a library. I'm not sure if it was just our timing but it was a lot less crowded here than the Village Cafe because of the location and it's a little farther away from the parking lot. It's basically cafeteria style here - order from the menu then pay at the checkout kiosk. The burrito could've been wrapped better but it was a good size and came out fresh and warm. Just needed some kind of salsa or hot sauce!

Marc P.

Yelp
I'm writing this just from the context of being in a remote National Park. Degnan's Kitchen is a three-in-one: Sandwich shop, quick snack store, and café. And for what it is, it's more than adequate. The sandwich section is like a Subway, but with fresher ingredients and a higher price tag (they must source their supply from local farms or something). Unlike Subway, there are no cockroaches and the workers seem pretty psyched to be there. And who wouldn't, they get to work and live in the most gorgeous National Park in the country. The café is standard affair: It's a Peet's franchise with also slightly higher prices and a smaller selection. Good enough to get the heart racing before ascending Half Dome. The interior is spacious. There are enough tables and chairs to host a small banquet. And a few outlets scattered around to charge phones or edit your waterfall selfies. There's Wi-Fi. It sort of works when it feels like it, which isn't often. Kind of like me at the office on a Monday. Also like the Wi-Fi, there are sort of other restaurants attached to the Degnan's Kitchen that open when they just feel like it. And apparently they didn't feel like it during my entire five-day stay at the park. Getting here can be a bit of a pain. Unless you like having breakfast at 5am, don't bet on parking and don't bet on the shuttle. Don't even consider coming here if it's in any way inconvenient. But if you're staying nearby, Degnan's feels like your home away from home. A sense of solace when you've been sleeping in a mosquitoes nest for five nights.

Sara M.

Yelp
The best biscuits and gravy that I've had in a long, long time! Not only that, the cashier was friendly and helpful.

Corey H.

Yelp
Degnan's Kitchen is probably the slowest sandwich making shop I've ever encountered. There was a decent size line and it was just moving at a snail's pace. People in line behind me just grabbed ready made sandwiches from the fridge after losing patience to wait any longer. And the person in front of me had a toasted sandwich that was left in too long and burnt. They were so ready to get their sandwich and out of the line that they just accepted the burnt sandwich. Very disorganized staff and really took their time making sandwiches. With all that said, the sandwich I ordered was decent. The side option was either coleslaw or fruit (a banana or orange). They have a good selection of Kettle brand chips but that is not an included side option.

Tanya S.

Yelp
My expectations weren't high, but the Chicken Caprese sandwich was great for lunch after our short hike. But it would not have held up very well & would've been soggy if not eaten right away. I thought the prices at the cafe were reasonable considering you're in a National park, but the grocery store prices were extremely high. We also bought 8 steaks and some other groceries to make for dinner at our cabin. The steaks alone were $163 but we also spent a few hundred on other groceries for a party of 7 for 2 days because we did not plan well. Make sure to grocery shop before heading into the park to avoid paying more than double what you would normally spend.

Tracey Z.

Yelp
Nice little deli in the park! Very good prices for a good amount of food. Tastes really good after a long hike!

Ellie J.

Yelp
Here's the thing- my food was good. I got the soup and I was pleased for the price. Everyone else's food however- "the worst sandwiches I've ever payed money for". Bland, soggy, untoasted (even when we asked), and the service was downright unpleasant. The location is nice but that's pretty much just because it's in Yosemite

Matt K.

Yelp
Had a great sandwich with excellent service at a reasonable price. Wish I had got a sandwich to go for dinner, as well. Nice environment too!

Debbie P.

Yelp
Husband had a turkey sandwich and I had a chili soup Both tasted pretty good especially for the location and simplicity. Nice outside seating available.

Alex M.

Yelp
Good sandwiches, and I like the ambiance (more cozy than the mess hall feel of the Yosemite Lodge cafeteria). Sandwiches aren't anything special, but they're simple, tasty, and perfect to take out on a hike.

Swan L.

Yelp
Located right in Yosemite Valley near the visitor center, it's one of the few places to eat in the park (you can also go to Camp Curry for the options). It's a cafe with sandwiches, salads, soups, and a Peet's coffee, so set the expectations accordingly. Typically we have our camping kitchen and cooler full of food with us so that we can pull over to any picnic area and prepare ourselves a nice snack or lunch. However, it was a cold day and I was really craving a hot chocolate and my husband a soup or chilli to go along with our packed sandwiches. We decided to give this place a try and he claims it's the best chilli he's ever had. It was chunky with lots of meat and beans and had a kick to it. I enjoyed my hot chocolate immensely. We even had to come back the next day so that he can have chilli again. I had the vegetable soup which had a lot of lentils and ingredients in it. Definitely would recommend the soups, but the sandwiches don't look super amazing.

Cesar C.

Yelp
maybe one of the best Chili I ever had!! beefy, with a little kick and warm/hot. perfect for a cold misty spring day!!! https://www.nps.gov/places/000/degnans-kitchen.htm I had it once, it was soo good, I HAD to come back to get it a second time!! and thought about buying it to go. I also asked where this delicious beefy chili came from/who made?... it is provided by a vendor lol. Just glad I had a chance to try it. sooo good! brought over some plantain chips and used it as a dip! soo good!! degnan's coffee shop was also on point, their hot chocolate was just perfect!! thank you Degnans, please keep the chili from sysco! :)

Sarah G.

Yelp
All I wanted was an iced coffee, and there's was only $3! Amazing. Who would have thought that prices inside a NP could be so reasonable and served with outstanding customer service? They also had canned beers, a pretty good selection. I was tempted to buy a can of Modelo for $1.79. I didn't partake in the deli food because I had brought my own for the day, but I was very pleased with this experience. Thank you, NPS!

Salvador T.

Yelp
I concur with everybody regarding this spot being a go-to before/after outdoor activities. The workers are friendly, and the lounge area has a double-sided fire place for you to enjoy some hot coffee. I had a vanilla latte and a mocha latte, and unfortunately, both lacked flavor and tasted like regular coffee. Also, there's snacks, soup and sandwiches. Provecho.

Navin K.

Yelp
Inexpensive option to pick up good quality food in the Yosemite valley. We were in Yosemite on our annual spring visit and the lunch room at the Ahwanee hotel was packed, with a long waiting list (we could not get through earlier to make reservations). So we did the next best thing - grabbed some drinks and snacks from the Ahwanee Sweet Shop and settled the kids and grandparents down at an outdoor table, while the missus and I walked ten minutes to Degnan's Kitchen in Yosemite Village to get food. There was a long line outside Degnan's as they were limiting how many customers went inside, but it moved quickly. Once inside, we noticed that the pizza line was much shorter than the sandwich line, but figured a variety of sandwiches would be a better idea than pepperoni or cheese pizza. We ordered 6 sandwiches: salmon ($12), roast beef ($9.25), grilled chicken ($9), BLT ($8), turkey classic ($7.25) and vegetarian ($7). Kettle chips rounded out our order, which was made quickly but accurately. Total bill was $61.45. Back at the Ahwanee, the rest of the family attacked the food with gusto - the consensus faves were the BLT and grilled chicken, with the roast beef close behind. Thank you Degnan's Kitchen for feeding a hungry family for a very reasonable price.

Jeremy P.

Yelp
Great location however, the food was booty cheeks. Would've been less bad if they had toasted my rueben sub, but they did not. When I brought it back and asked for them to toast it they made it seem like some big deal saying they can't toast a sandwich thats already made or some bull crap. It's better than starving, but i'm sad I left my MRE at home :(

Kevin R.

Yelp
The service was friendly and the food was fine. Much better than the "base camp" at the lodge. The sandwiches are a bit on the bland side, but the Chili and other soups were steller.

Megan D.

Yelp
Hot good after a nice, long hike? Yes, please. Degnan's offers two menu's, breakfast and lunch/dinner. The breakfast is filling and tastes good to me. Got the egg sandwich this time around with sausage and was glad it wasn't too greasy and held its form instead of smooshing out everywhere. They've got sauce packets (rooster sauce this time around instead of tapatio) next to the soda fountain for you to grab and go sit. Plenty of beer and other drink options to choose from. There's a tiny coffee bar as well. Nothing too fancy. It's clean and it has AC. Bathrooms and water bottle refill station to boot.

Barry B.

Yelp
This place is the best quick breakfast I've found in the park. The deli has breakfast sandwiches to go, but the trick is to get them on the homemade biscuits instead of the English muffins or bread slides. The biscuits are amazing- flaky and extra buttery. Not sure what it is, but their bacon is great. Finally, the two women working the counter when we visited were amazing: friendly, knowledgeable and quick. They should be paid triple- they are incredible humans that love their jobs and make the rest of us start off our day right. Visited both days as it was that good and they were that lovely.

Chris F.

Yelp
I have been visiting Yosemite National Park for many years. Visits include day trips, camping, and hiking. During each visit to the park I get an opportunity to meet people from other parts of the country and world who all come to Yosemite to enjoy the natural beauty the park has to offer. Unfortunately the food venues in the park operated by Aramark's Yosemite Hospitality fall short of acceptable. Back in 2019 my wife and I spent the whole day hiking with friends. When we returned to Curry Village at dinner time, found the line to enter the Curry Village Pavilion Restaurant was so long, we likely would not have reached the entrance by the time they were scheduled to close, so we call searched our day packs and had the remaining trail snacks as our dinner. During our visit to the park last weekend, camping overnight (Sept 23-24, 2023) my wife and I decided to pack light and find lunch and dinner in Yosemite Valley. On Saturday we stopped by the Village Grill next to the Village Store. My chipotle chicken sandwich had no flavor. My wife's Cowboy Burger was also not very pleasing. On Sunday, we had lunch at Deanna's Kitchen Deli. I ordered a turkey sandwich, again flavorless and my wife ordered a hummus sandwich which did not appear to have any hummus. When I returned the sandwich to the person who prepared it, he mentioned the red looking sauce was the hummus and if we did not like it, he offered to make us something else. We disposed of our sandwiches in the trash and again, ate trail snacks... As we walked away, I felt sad and embarrised for all those who come to Yosemite to enjoy all the amazing things this National Park has to offer, just not the food.

Sarah B.

Yelp
After a full morning we decided to have lunch. It seemed like an awesome sandwich but after 10 miles of hiking a can of cold beans would have been amazing too. All kidding aside the sandwich was delicious but the chili was the star of lunch. The line to order was long but nothing unexpected at Y

Ben Y.

Yelp
It's fast food at a national park, I don't think anyone is expecting much at all. It's a fairly large place so you have a decent chance at finding a seat either inside or out. There is a fountain to refill your water bottle and restrooms inside. In terms of food it's various sandwiches and some pretty said looking pizzas. I was looking forward to getting some fries but they only have bagged chips. Basically if you are at the park and you're hungry and you didn't bring your own food it's an ok option

Bitia Z.

Yelp
I'm not sure why this place doesn't have better reviews but I must say it deserves better ratings. My husband and I were looking for a place to grab a bite and we were looking for a while as it is a little tricky to get here. We parked by the restrooms and visitor center and walked the rest of the way here which was a 5 min walk. The deli has tasty sandwiches and the bakery right next to it has great pastries and coffee. Bakery service was much better than deli. Guy at deli looked so unfriendly (made a great sandwich though) Good amount of seating inside where you can sit right next to a warm fireplace and lookout to the snowy view. Recommend this place!!

Christine S.

Yelp
Cafeteria style kitchen with a cafe for coffee and tea, then soups, sandwiches and a small assortment of snacks and sides. You wait in line, grab your sandwich then pay. We ordered the Good Eats Grinder (mixed cold cuts) and the roast beef sandwich. Both were very mediocre. Don't expect much from the sandwiches...kind of slapped together with no flavor but we were hungry. The standout item was the CHILI! Get this and get two servings. It was so good after a long cold day and had great flavor. We dipped our chips in it. They have some indoor and outdoor seating and it's pretty close to the main parking lot by Yosemite Village.

Magda N.

Yelp
Inexpensive and less crowded option in the national park. Located near the village shop, like 1-2 minute walk. Better option than the village grill there in my opinion - no long wait and inside seating with ac. They just sell sandwiches. All the sandwiches are packed in parchment and ready to pickup in seconds (although some items may require assembly but they do it fast). It's not great sandwich. Pretty dry and lacking flavor. Range about $7-13. Better if you make your own sandwich probably. They have peet's coffee inside. Makes nice coffee. Better option: roast beef. Comes with a side of dip that can moisten the sandwich. Don't recommend: salmon. You won't like if you don't like egg salad sandwich. Mushy with the addition of avocado too.

Gary W.

Yelp
Come early for the self serve biscuits and gravy. They are good. Highly suggest. Also they have a full peets coffee so the coffee is great as well.. Staff was extremely friendly...

L U.

Yelp
Good sandwiches, soups, coffee & pastries. I do still miss the prior Degnan's, which was more of a true deli sandwich place, the current version still makes good stuff. Had soup of the day today (pasta florentine in a tomato broth), which was quite tasty. Good bowl size for $6.50. Pastries are tasty but not as huge as bakeries I'm used to in the Bay Area. That said, reasonably priced, averaging around $3.50. Scones, croissants, cinnamon rolls, fruit-filled pastries, bear claws. They have nice seating areas. Inside, there is an area around a fire with good places to eat and then hang out, and have wifi

Andrisda M.

Yelp
Mid sandwiches and pricy. This is kinda like a lower tier subway. They charge $12+ for a half foot long sandwich. I ordered a yosemite salmon sandwich and asked for the bread to be toasted since it was an option in the menu, and the worker just looked at me and say that they don't toast it bc the salmon is already baked. Makes no sense. The line can get pretty long. It would even wrap around the dining hall. But it doesn't mean that they have good food. I think it's just convenient for park goers that are already hungry from their hike. Workers at are somewhat rude and not too accommodating. They speak very quietly in a busy and packed food hall. I'd recommend just packing ur own sandwich. Cheaper and you don't have to deal with waiting in line

Cari M.

Yelp
Great for breakfast before your Yosemite day - selection of breakfast sandwiches or breakfast burritomade fresh, oatmeal, biscuits and gravy. Lunch is not as great, but serviceable - just a few types of sandwiches. Peets Coffee is a plus! There's also a fridge case with things like salami snack packs, hard boiled eggs, and fruit cups to take with you on your adventures.

Keith R.

Yelp
HAVE AGAIN: The Nestle chocolate chip ice cream sandwich was excellent. NOT HAVE AGAIN: A triangular-shaped brownie bar was not good.

Bharti K.

Yelp
We visited Yosemite national park last year and most of the cafes were closed due to covid but only this cafe was open. They did a great job in handling the crowd and made sure only a certain number of people entered the cafe at a certain time. Other people were supposed to stay out and there were markings for social distancing. We ordered a coffee and it was handed to us promptly. The sugar and other coffee condiments were kept in open area and it was self-serve. Some people were buying pizza and other hot items. We didn't try any of those. Will try them in the future. There is a bathroom at the other side of the cafe, people were practicing social distancing and keeping the facilities clean. There were some areas outside of the cafe, where one can sit and eat while practicing social distancing. Overall a nice spot to get a quick lunch and some caffeine during a visit to the national park.

Samantha F.

Yelp
Stopped here for breakfast since my daughter was hungry but said she wasn't ready to eat when we got her up early for the drive into the park. I was disappointed that the breakfast burrito wasn't customizable. Seems to me that for a sandwich shop/deli it shouldn't be too tough to make that an option. Even without being able to customize our order it took quite awhile to make the food. The ordering process was loud and chaotic and I could observe several orders getting confused because of having to shout it out to the people working on the line and then them having to relay it to whichever employee had that task. Watching their process it seemed very inefficient. Fortunately, the other people in line were friendly and patient and I got to chat with a lovely lady from London. The lady in charge of the line was the only one that appeared to know what she was doing so staffing issues and work ethic might explain why the other workers seemed lost and prone to error. Since I couldn't get the breakfast burrito I got two egg muffins. For a fast food type breakfast sandwich they were surprisingly good. The bacon was terrific. The eggs not too rubbery and the actual english muffins were amazing. Not a bad choice for breakfast in the park, but could really be something terrific with some customizable options and work put in towards improvements in service and efficiency.

Virginia J.

Yelp
My family and I all enjoyed our sandwiches. I ordered a gluten free sandwich and they were very careful about cross contamination. Friendly, fast service. Convenient and healthy food

Stone V.

Yelp
Surprisingly affordable for being in the center of Yosemite Valley. Sandwiches won't blow you away but a solid option and I'm sure the cheapest you'll find in the valley. The coffee bar staff was also very nice and pleasant especially given how busy they were. P.S. get the gingerbread bear cookie it's so cute and is actually good too!

Jessica A.

Yelp
Stopped by today for a quick lunch after a long day of hiking. Nearest parking is the 30 minute lot at the Village Store, just a minute or two walk away. They had a line set up outside and allowed patrons in as some exited, abiding by social distancing. Once inside, they have a line for coffee and pastries, a line for pizza (individual sizes and choice of cheese, pepperoni, or vegetable) and soup (today was choice of clam chowder, red lentil, or chili) and another line for sandwiches. We had the grilled cheese, the good eats grinder and the red bean/beef chili. Everything was excellent! The grilled cheese came with two types of cheese and truffle mayo which was delish! The good eats grinder had a mix of delicious meats such as salami and it had an olive tapenade spread on it which really brought it to the next level. The chili was a good portion size for a single person and we added the optional cheese and onion. They allowed a small portion of indoor seating where it was nice and warm and a larger outdoor area as well. To be honest, this is my first choice amongst the other dining options available in the park. Better quality and more affordable!

Doreen T.

Yelp
For a change of scenery from our meals at Base Camp Eatery where we stayed 4 nights at Yosemite Valley Lodge, we drove to Degnan's Sandwiches couple times. Compare to Base Camp Eatery, we were impressed with the food here! They have a Peet's Coffee with pastry options, breakfast sandwiches, and lunch with pizzas and sandwiches. The first day we got a tuna sandwich and a daily grinder which had a few different kind of meat. The sandwich was filled with fresh ingredients with lots of veggies which I love. Each sandwich also comes with a small bag of chips. They also have some grab and go at the fridge along with drinks and Haagen Dazs at very reasonable price. We like Degnan's so much we came back the next day for lunch. Was glad T-mobile service works in this side of the park too! Oh don't forget the cute Yosemite ginger-bear cookie!

Allie S.

Yelp
This place deserves more five star reviews. It's changed a lot over the years, but it's such a classic spot to eat in Yosemite National park. They have a great variety food wise. They can accommodate larger groups (we usually have 10+ people) and it's a great little hang out spot for lunch or dinner after a hike in the park. Worth visiting for a meal or two on your trip to yosemite.

Tim Y.

Yelp
Visited back a few months ago during the California wildfires. There were only a handful of places open for food. Yosemite was completely empty. I would guess less than 5% normal capacity. Picked up a vegetarian pizza and vegetarian sandwich along with a coffee. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. The pizza was prepared fresh and baked in the oven. The pizza shown in my picture is a sample. I really thought that was the one they were going to give me. LOL Wish I realized this was open before picking up a random sandwich from the main gift shop!

Albert L.

Yelp
Small pizza meant mini in Yosemite Pricey pizza for Yosemite yet $$ on the rating I guess it's in Yosemite. Pizza got cold after being served outside the winter's night.

Yelp
We stopped by here a couple of times and ordered food that being a vegetarian sandwich and potato salad. The food was average and nothing great but I sure did enjoy the iced coffee that I ordered here. The beans they use are of good quality so the coffee had a nice flavor to it.

Yelp
It's a nice, clean, well maintained food place with a variety of food and drink options. I was happy with the sandwiches I got and also stacked up for my next day breakfast (which was a life-saver). They also have good dessert menu! My interaction with the servers were nice, however, my friends had a bad experience with one of the lady server there, which is the reason why I'm taking down one star.

Yelp
I'm giving Degnan's 5 stars because it fulfills its intended purpose extremely well: feeding huge crowds at one of the most popular national parks. They've got sandwiches, pizza, a bakery, and chips/snacks and some refrigerated goodies (like cut fruit/vegetables) for purchase. I've never had a bad sandwich from here, and I come to Yosemite all the time. I find the food to be reasonably priced considering how far it all had to travel for me to consume. The last time I was there, I paid $7 for my grilled cheese, and it was delicious. I was super happy to see they have two vegetarian sandwich options (grilled cheese and a veggie-based sandwich), yay! I am not totally sure of vegan options, but I think the refrigerated section may have some veggies/fruit/snacks of interest. As other reviewers have mentioned, the architecture is so lovely and fits right in with the granite spires and pine trees (or maybe they're incense cedar, I forgot my tree guide principles already!) Step outside and you're surrounded by the cathedral of granite while enjoying an ice cold beverage and some chips after a long hike. Ahhh, this is what my dreams are made of! Conveniently located in Yosemite Village just across the way from the Village Store (and in Yosemite Valley, most park visitors' destination). You can park in the Village Store lot or other lots in the surrounding area and walk over. Like many things in the spring/summer in Yose, you can expect to wait in lines if it's peak lunch rush. I tend to hike all morning and show up around 2pm to grub to almost no lines. Maybe the lines will be better with the reservation permit system in place. Hats off to the staff who are always so friendly and kind no matter the crowd level.
