I wanted to try a truffle restaurant and ended up here. I find the truffle flavor very mild in all their dishes. The charcuterie plate was delicious, but I could barely taste the truffle in their cured meats and cheeses (1 star off). Similarly, with the asparagus risotto, I see the shaved truffles on top, but did not get much of that umami flavor I was expecting. The 62 degree egg was a nice soft poached egg, but the crunchy corn nut and popcorn that came with it ruined the comfy soft consistency of the poached egg. For dessert, I had the hazelnut cake with Nutella and truffles. I was doubtful how truffles would work in desserts, and my suspicions were confirmed, it tasted weird (1 star off). I could forego truffles in desserts.
Overall, I thought the restaurant was interesting to try, but the dishes were not memorable enough to return. You just cannot add fancy truffles to everything and expect to make it work. I wish you could though!
