When we arrived at Deigo on a Sunday afternoon the place was full, and we had to wait a few minutes - not a problem. I really wanted to like this restaurant, but in the end it is too much of a mixed bag. The location is very convenient to us, a short stroll across Parque de Arboledas, and near metro División del Norte. The ambience is lovely and feels authentically Japanese. The service was very polite, and fairly efficient. They certainly have enough staff, even with the restaurant completely full. We both ordered naranjada, but it was a little too sweet for our taste. The fried gyozas came out promptly, but lacked any character. Moreover, they were very small for the high price. Our main dishes were the yakitori, (the best thing we had), and the tan tan men, which was very salty. The spice level was good, but the flavors didn't compare with the exquisite meals we had last year in Tokyo. There is a lot of competition in Japanese restaurants in this neighborhood, and many can match the quality here but with much more reasonable prices.
