Fluffy egg sandwich

Came at 1030 during Christmas, was first in line. However, a line was forming rapidly to about 5-6 party by the time it was time to open. There's two line, one to dine in and one to takeout, the friendly staff ushered and reordered the queue that I had formed previously 15 mins before 11. Restaurant seats 10, about 3 party per wave. Food came around 1115, and we were the first to be served. While the restaurant is renowned for its beef sandwich, I personally preferred the Egg sandwich. It was outrageously oversized, creamy, fluffy, the bread toasted with butter, it also contained flavourful egg white (sunny side up style) to break the monotony, good job! The beef sandwich comes in 200/400g, and it's always comes in 2 separate sandwiches regardless of the meat portion size. The beef slices were aromatic, seasoned very well with pepper, my eyes were opened. However the beef was chewy, hence I preferred the Egg mayo. I also tried the chicken nanban sandwich and enjoyed the tomato, mayo, and lettuce. When we left around 1140, there's about 4 other party waiting outside. I'll come back to takeout the egg sandwich :-)

Absolutely incredible. Best sandwich I’ve ever had! I got there early so there wasn’t much of a wait. The place does takeaway as well as dine in. I’m 100% certain that any sandwich you choose is going to taste amazing. They are known for their egg sandoichi which was obviously oishii and I also had the steak. But my favourite was the ham and cheese! I don’t think you will find any better. Meccha Oishii!!

Shop opens at 11 but we already lined up (dine-in line) at around 10:30 to be the 3rd customers to get in. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. The place is very small (I think they can only have ~10 people dining in inside) that the take-out line was also a good option for some who didn't mind eating elsewhere. To be honest, I think people come here for the steak sandwich but the highlight for us was the tamago sandwich!! The bread was very soft and tasty that I kept talking about it after. The steak was a bit chewy and the but was still tasty nonetheless. The chicken with egg was also good but I'd really keep going back for the tamago sandwich :)

Didn't know about the instagram fame of this place just saw the line up and decided to check it out the next day. Came early to try and beat the line but still had to wait over an hour. Especially for dine in, there is limited space inside so be prepared for hour long wait, much quicker to do take away. Had the egg salad, steak and potato sandwiches. Egg salad was okay, they had a large piece of cooked egg white meringue around the outside to keep the egg salad from spilling out which was salty. From the color of the egg salad I was expecting something more but the bright orange color is them spreading egg yolk on the cut. The egg salad on the inside is nice and creamy but no different from any conbini eggsalad. Steak sandwich was really strangely sweet and was the only sandwich we didn't finish. The meat was certainly rare in parts and well cooked in others but all of the pieces were extremely chewy. It's a very chewy almost dessert like sandwich. Potato salad was nice, creamy, good mayo but that's all it is. They also sprinkled the top with black pepper which I like in my potato salad but having it as a topping just made me sneeze and lead to bites with too much pepper. All of this pales in comparison to the state of their kitchen, it looks like they never clean the kitchen area, pans looked crusty and the walls near the stove was covered in old burnt grease and they were storing the fried sandwich fillings like the chicken right next to it. I have been nothing but surprised at how clean all the restaurants and shops have been in japan and this was a disgusting slap in the face. The one thing this shop excels at is clearly marketing but has no substance to back it up. I hope tourists see this review and decide to spend their money at many of the other shops around that serve quality food for cheaper and from cleaner kitchens.

The egg sandwich here was so fluffy it basically melted — super soft, light, and honestly the best part of the meal. The beef sandwich was fine but nothing special, a bit more on the average side compared to how good the egg one was. The place itself was cute and the service was quick, so it’s still a nice stop if you’re in the area. If you go, definitely get the egg sandwich — that one’s the real star.

Delicious sandwiches that you won’t find anywhere else. Me and my bf ordered two egg and two steak, but probably should’ve shared one half steak each! The egg was my favourite: super creamy and the yolk dripping all over the top kept the whole thing super moist! My bf preferred the steak, but everything was amazing. Ordered it to go which meant we only queued around 30 mins or less (arrived just after 11:30) and there’s a park down the road filled with fellow Dekasan enjoyers. Would recommend!!

Egg sandwich was really really good but the beef was really really disappointing. It didn't even come medium rare as mentioned, and the beef parts they used were weird parts, not like the ones they showed in photos. The beef were also tasteless and chewy so it didnt feel like you were eating beef at all.

We ordered takeaway - egg sandwich, small rare beef sandwich, and the small roast beef sandwich. Egg was tasty, however it was inconsistent with every bite - some bites were yolk bites and other bites had just egg white bites. Regardless, it was creamy and had a good texture. Bread was fine. The sandwich itself was impractical to eat due to its large size. The small beef sandwiches for both were easy to eat as they were not the large sizes. The rare beef sandwich was unexpectedly sweet. We were not expecting the sweetness from a steak sandwich. Texture was fine but it gets heavy the more you eat. Would of liked some acid or vegetable to help with the heaviness of the meat. The roast beef sandwich was nice and rare. Slightly chewy but in a good way for roast beef. The gravy in the sandwich was nice. I was surprised by the temperature as it was cold. We waited an hour in the take away line which is not too bad for Japan standards. The staff member facilitating the orders was very nice.
