Del Friscos

We celebrated my friend wedding at this restaurant today and it was amazing. The food was delicious , I'm very picky when it come to pizza and it was one of the best I've had. The service was very efficient as well. Despite being a few to serve us they did an amazing job. I totally recommand if you have to book a big event.

It was a Wednesday, not a very busy day really, but the service was slow, a little slower than slow, it was a table of 10 persons and we were arriving in a space of 20 minutes, finally we ordered some drinks and cocktails, after the drinks and having previously been reviewing the menu ...so it took 35 minutes for the waitress to come to take the food order and we ordered as starters meat balls in sauce with Cheese over and eggplant lasagna... and only then we knew that the Chef was not preparing the lasagna, which we should have known from minute 1... so she never told us, that way we would not have created false expectations and not wasted our time, but we ordered something else, after another 30 minutes at least, the starters arrived, the meat balls had an excellent flavor combined with the sauce and cheese, the texture was firm but soft to the palate, the first ball was really good, I was really enjoying it, the second came with a surprise, a piece of eggshell that the sound and sensation In the mouth, it's one of the most unpleasant thing you can find in a preparation, that killed the balls and ruined the moment (see images). However, my wife's starter replacement wasn't bad at all. Then, 42 more minutes passed before they came to collect the plates, and just over 15 minutes later the pancetta sandwich finally arrived, by that time we had no more appetite, then it took a good 40 minutes more to come and pick the dishes and ask about the desserts that only one of us ordered, then we asked for the sandwich that we had not touched, to take away, and after another 20 minutes or so, he came with the machine's bill. We arrived at 6:22 pm and left at 9:13 pm. A long stay and not a full pleasant experience, although I can't say the rest of us weren't satisfied, but I didn't even ask. In short, I was left hoping for something better based on the reviews I had read. The atmosphere is good and the decor is pleasant, perhaps with better waitressing and less carelessness from the Chef it would have been an excellent experience, just details could had change it all.

First off shout out to Christina and Aroun who made my birthday celebration so enjoyable. Patience and a good sense of humour was truly appreciated. Visit April 14 @6 PM . The service was top notch from other service staff members but unfortunately I didn’t get their names but if you’re reading this we were a group of 7 mainly women. We’re the ones that laughed loud and hard. I’ll be honest 2 flaws ~ beer wasn’t cold enough and the Marsala wasn’t quite to my liking but next day I reheated with a touch of cream and it was perfect( leftovers Yay) But all the rest of the food was abundant tasty and hot. It’s not the restaurant fault the veal didn’t suit my taste buds or that I like my beer ice cold. I could’ve said something. I’m happy we went .. I hadn’t been out with family on my birthday in a long time this place made it such a memorable evening. Price 40-50$ per plate. Stars of the evening the dips and I got a taste of the strip loin ~ perfect, next time. Thank you.

I came here on a Thursday evening with reservations. The parking lot is massive so you won't have issues finding parking. Our table was ready for us when we arrived. The place was packed. The waitress was knowledgeable and friendly. At one point, an item we ordered was forgotten or very delayed so she gave us free dessert to compensate. It was very appreciated. The food is not the best food you'll ever eat but the plates were a good size. I ordered the cobb salad and had leftovers to take home. Not a terrible place to go to to watch a hockey game or something. I might consider coming back here with a group for some drinks or a night out close to home.

Went with a very large group. Waitress forgot to put in an order. Had the lasagna and it was ok, nothing special. The appetizers were wonderful. Calamari, fried zucchini, sweet potatoes fries.

This place was amazing. The food was great, fresh ingredients, great flavors, cooked perfectly. There's nothing negative to say. The service was great. You can tell they focus on providing a high quality experience for the customers. I loved it and will definitely be back.

The service was great. The waiter was available and attentive to our needs. In general the good was good and abundant. Except for my pizza 😞. The toppings were tasty but the crust was hard and over cooked. Maybe the cook had an off day. I'll need to go back and try their pizza again.

This is our favorite restaurant always our go to. The food is fabulous. GLENN THE BARTENDER makes THE BEST espresso martini anywhere!!! Five stars for service and creativity! Its a must try!!!

The staff is really friendly. You do need to make a reservation. The place is great for nice family gathering. We been coming to Del Friscos for many years. They have great pizza selection. The chicken Parmesan is very tender and is delicious. Also the Jack Daniel chicken is also amazing. This is one of our go to restaurants for Italian on the West Island .

Stopped here for dinner while staying nearby for a night. I had heard of Del Friscos on other trips and in search of Italian food - but needing a place open late on a Saturday night and the boys wanting Italian, this checked both boxes. We didn't need a reservation and were sat immediately. The decor reminds me of a higher scale Olive Garden? or an Italian Ruby Tuesday's with a bar area and some nicer decor than just normal. We ordered our drinks and put in an appetizer order of the the focaccia bread and a margherita pizza. I thought that the focaccia bread would be squares, but was prepared like a small pizza. The bread was covered with cheese, bruschetta topping, then covered with greens. The picture doesn't really tell the tale as this was seasoned properly and had a nice taste profile to it. The margherita pizza was very good - sauce was tangy, and it's consistency was uniform without lacking a complex taste profile. To make things even better, the basil was fresh and provided that final garnish with flavor. For my entree, I usually yield to chicken parm, but I didn't see it on the menu. I searched again and again coming up empty. I decided to ask the waiter if they did the dish and he said they did and I ordered it. I can say that their chicken parm checked all my boxes - (1) thinly cut and properly fried providing a crisp even with cheese and sauce on top of it, (2) melted and crispy edged cheese, (3) al dente pasta with accurate sauce amounts. The dish had it all, and I was really impressed. For dessert, I ordered a cup of coffee and a chocolate cake. The cake was moist, and covered as well as garnished with HEAVY chocolate sauce - which was thicker than the standard, topped with chocolate chips. So very good - waiter was very attentive and I didn't get his name - younger, glasses reddish hair. Well done. Would recommend and return.

This place has been a favorite of mine since I had discount years back. My all time favorite is the Caprini pasta that I always get, always on point, it's not heavy but has so much flavour. This time around we also got the pollo salad, the chicken was Nicole cooked and seasoned and loved that it was enough dressing and the dressing was already missed in all together. We came here on a sunny Saturday and sat on the patio, services was really good and the waitress was very friendly. The only bad thing about our experience was we ordered espresso martinis and it came with Bailey's in it when it wasn't mentioned on the menu but the waitress was kind enough to make up new ones which we really appreciate it. I will continue to come here, they have so many good foods here

I have to say that on top of the beautiful ambiance, I was very pleasantly surprised at the quality of the food I was served. The minestrone soup I started with was exceptional to the point of being the best I've ever had anywhere! The buns - so hot right out of the oven - tasted great dipped in the balsamic vinegar. For the main course, I chose the Pollo e Mango which is a Cajun chicken with mangos that came with my choice of option being half veggies and half pasta. The chicken was really tasty with a good amount of spice that had my tongue tingling. The vegetables were nicely surprising being fried zucchini, yellow and orange carrots, and asparagus. The table had ordered fried calamari as an entree which were good, but pales in comparison to the rest of my meal :) Definitely on my list for a return visit to try one of their signature wood-oven pizzas.

Amazing pasta dishes with fresh seafood and full flavor sauce. A wide range of delicious appetizers and excellent customer service by the staff.

Decent pseudo-Italian restaurant and bar, out near the airport. Been here a couple of times. During happy hour, get a seat in the bar area as booze binging is cheaper. For some reason, the hostess sat me in the dining room while I was waiting to meet up with a friend. No happy hour booze pricing in the lounge? QQF (WTF in French!)!!! Got a half bottle of wine and looked over the menu. The Larry Robinson jerseys framed and prominently displayed in the dining room was a bit out of place with the table cloths and napkin rolls. I'm assuming that the hockey legend has shares in the place as he has a prominent seat in the bar and a pizza is named after him. Bar area is pretty hopping and the dining area was quickly filling up. The place does brisk business. Food is good and worth dining here if you a looking for a place away from smoked meats and bagels. Located at Sources in the Power Centre, there is plenty of parking. A nightmare to get to during rush hour - probably why they have cheap booze as there has to be some reward to brave stupid levels of traffic! Cheers!

Great Family restaurant for all occasions even a date. We sat at the sports bar watching the hockey games. Bartender was very nice and the service is quick. They have a huge variety of foods so I chose the Lasagna with a salad . In the meantime they lay out the balsamic vinegar and olive oil with a basket of warm crusty bread. Everyone's weakness. Lol. My meal was good with a good size portion. I enjoyed the company and had a great time. Ambiance is Electra. Not Expensive and the tummy will thank you. I recommend :)) oh I forgot, my date had the mussels which he loved with chicken Parmigiana. He was happy as well. Check out the pics!

I love this place it has a great vegetarian options, and their pizzas are to die for, and the staff is very friendly almost like go to eat at my Sicilian grandmothers house, Gerry R

Had lunch at Del Friscos on Friday. My expectations were not high as i usually frequent Italian restaurants that are in Little Italy. Much to my surprise the plate that I ordered which was linguini with clams was probably the best that I have had anywhere. The dish was perfection. The salad that preceded it was also exceptional. The dressing just right and it was easy to see that the freshness in the salad. The restaurant was very busy that day and I now know why. This place is a gem.

Saturday night, I know it's going to busy but we were early, 6:30. Server came and rattled off the special, 3 choices all being the same price. My and I selected the same meal. Food was mediocre. Service was slow and we were not offered dessert or coffee, or even asked how things were. Bill came and the special we ordered was $8 more for each. When we questioned the server about it, he said that was the price. We told him twice, that's not what he said, he simply said that's the price. Our the leftovers were packed haphazardly and leaked in the car. Avoid at all costs, it's not worth the time or money to be cheated.

It's your local Italian cuisine with the zest of the mediterranean sea. A good place for a quick business lunch or your just casual dinner with friends with a wide variety of beverages and many TV screens to catch a glance of the game when you are at the bar. So, yes give a go and get some of the dolce vita!

Horrible. Who is running this place? We went there a second time to give the benefit of the doubt to this restaurant and we liked the food. First time, service was slow, waiter had to be reminded to bring drinks and take orders. Second time we waited almost 20 mins before we asked for service, otherwise I don't think anyone would have came. Meanwhile, we see several waiters and bus boys standing at the back of the restaurant with their hands in their pockets. Is it too much to bring water and say hello? The place was not even busy at the time we visited. There is no excuse. NEVER going back here again

Possibly the worst restaurant meal in recent memory. The lunchtime mussels and fries were so salty that they were inedible. Never going there again.

Not bad for a group lunch with coworkers last Friday! Ordered from the lunch table d'hote menu; got the vegetarian pizza with the house salad for $21 total. The complimentary bread they serve while you wait is delicious, warm and fresh. The service was decent considering how busy this place was. The pizza's dough and crust was perfect and the portion was great, got 2 slices to go. Got to try a mussel, and some fries from others and it was all really yummy. Trying to flag down a waiter at the end to get a box for my food to go was a little difficult but I would consider going back for a nice sit down lunch. Not every day though as $20 adds up and it's difficult to be in and out within the hour mark.

My husband and I joined some friends for dinner and brought our baby. The staff was friendly but we did not have a great experience. The food was not great. I had an arugula salad which was bland and almost dry. I had ordered grilled chicken to go on the salad as that was an option on the menu and they brought me a side plate with a dry chicken breast cut into strips. I don't think it was even seasoned. The food wasn't even the reason for the low rating. Aside from the noise and the heat because they pack in so many tables that is. My baby needed her diaper changed at some point and my husband went to take her so I could enjoy a few minutes with our friends. He came back to let me know that I would have to go since there is no change table in the men's washroom. I could not believe it. We are in 2021. So sexist and unacceptable. Do better Del Friscos. Change tables are not that expensive. Unbelievable.

Incredible disappointment. So much so, I will not return. The staff was, average. Neither slovenly nor highly professional, just "meh". It seemed that most of them wanted to be anywhere but where they were. Salmon was one of the specials; I chose, poorly as it turns out to try it. I love salmon. It is billed as "Fresh Atlantic grilled salmon topped with a fresh lemon vinaigrette". I was served a dish that was raw in the middle. I sent it back (I know..never a good thing but it was that raw.) My dish came back, I can't say for sure but I think it was microwaved, the sides were way over done and while the fish was cooked, this time around? I can say that there was no way this was "Fresh Atlantic salmon". Sure, at one point it was fresh but by the time I received it, the BB date had long passed. The overwhelming taste was that of a fish that had been left in the freezer, too long. It was appalling and I couldn't eat it, it was that bad. I cannot recommend Del Frisco's, not for the ambience and definitely, not for the food.

Great neighbourhood restaurant! Great ambiance and perfect for any occasion - family dinner, business lunch, date night, movie night, etc. Also a great place to catch a game as they have several screens in the bar area Fairly extensive menu with a full bar and plenty of good beers on tap. Pretty much everything in the menu is a good choice... I have taken the tour! Salads are fresh, salmon is cooked perfectly and loaded with flavour, pizza is thin crust and cooked by fire, endless pasta options and so much more including a Beyond Meat burger option. My go-to these days is the California sandwich which I order without bread. It is served as a breast of chicken on a bed of avocado and topped with grilled red peppers and a mountain of alfalfa sprouts. Served wIth salad and/or fries. Delicious for lunch or dinner. Service is always professional, friendly and fairly quick. Plenty of parking, right off the highway and Next door to Guzzo Cinema. Also a very large terrace for outdoor eating in the summer!

Food was okay, but the service was horrible. Our waitress Toula was not friendly at all. She didn't bother looking in people's eyes when taking order. Asked for butter and she forgot.

We are visiting from the U.S. and have never been to this restaurant before. It was a Sunday evening and they were pretty busy, but the hostess did a great job of seating us pretty quickly with two hungry kids under 5. Our server was great and very attentive. We ordered the traditional pizza, lasagna and the kids both got spaghetti with meat sauce. All of our food came out quick, hot and was delicious. The pizza had a great sauce with great veggies. I had some bites of my husbands lasagna which was also delicious! We will definitely come back here when we are craving Italian.

This was delicious! Frutti de Mar with cappilini. Didn't leave a single thing on the plate.

Del friscos was really great. I get the same thing every time I go there, but it's always so great. Del Friscos is one of my favourite restaurants. Their service is great, we waited a short time to get our food, I would definitely recommend going to Del Friscos!

Nothing too special but nice spot for lunch. I grew up in the west island and am quite sick of the small selection of restaurants but this one is pretty good on occasion. I've come here a bunch of times and nothing was ever out right bad. They are tasty and standard dishes that won't necessarily "wow" you but will definitely fill you up. My last visit was this week for lunch. I had the table d'hôte mussels and fries. I asked the waiter which sauce he recommended for the mussels. I told him I liked spicy food so he said he'd make me an spicy tomato-based sauce. It ended up being delicious. My normal experience here would probably be about 3 stars but this last experience bumped my review up to 4. The waiter was friendly and attentive despite the lunch rush. The Caesar salad wasn't very good and the quality of lettuce used was poor. Service: 5/5 Food: 4/5 Value: 3/5

This is a restaurant that we go to on a regular basis. We always have a great meal and we always have great service. This is a local West Island Bar/Restaurant where you can bring your family or hang in the bar and watch whatever sports that are on the giant screens. Tonight we were celebrating our daughter's birthday, 8 girls plus our family. The owner Terry and his staff were extremely accommodating and made us feel like we were family. The food was great as usual and the service was just as good. Thank you Terry & Johnny for continually making us feel at home in your restaurant. Looking forward to our next visit!!

I went here with my mother, brother and his girlfriend for my brothers' birthday. Let's just say I'm only giving 2 stars because the sangria was lovely....... Eggplant parm was fine Pizzas were tasteless Alla Gigi was bad....all the dressings were set and hard Would never come back....not worth your $$$$$

I ate at del Frisco recently. The service was good and friendly. The food was tasty. We both ate the same thing, the lamb shank from the table d'hôte. Later that night we were both very ill. We are casual friends so this was are only thing we both did. I called the restaurant spoke to the manager who was more interested in answering the other lines to take reversions. Basically I was told thank you for calling. I will never eat there again and will recommend to my friends they avoid del friscos

I came here and had the chicken scallopini with pasta. The chicken was under-cooked so the dish was so so. The complimentary bread lacked flavor. I hear good things about their pizza so that may be worth a try.

I Ike this place. The food is always good, I typically do pastas or pizzas. Many options on the menu. The pastas are always well cooked and tasty. The pizzas are awesome, wood oven makes it best! Calamaris are delicious too. They have a bar section that's always busy, good spot to have a drink and a bite. Very good service, always spot on. This is a keeper.

Pros - Tasty appetizers - Creative and balance martinis Cons - Way too pricey - Snooty wait staff My waiter acted like he was doing me a favour serving me. Everything came with a sigh and a face. Regardless of the food and drink, I won't go back because I simply didn't feel welcomed there. My friends and I wanted to continue our night so we just crossed the parking lot to Jack Astor's, where we felt the staff were happy to have our business.

It all started with a soup. I have been visiting ever since. The spinach dip is one of my favorites. They also have good sandwiches.

What a great experience we had there tonight! Drove to Montreal this morning and went for dinner with Mom at a restaurant of her choice, Del Friscos. I had told her of my experience at Il Fornello's on the Danforth just last night, so initially she thought I may not want Italian again, but I was all for it. I remembered this place as being where the East Side Mario's was that we drove by on our way to the much cooler (at the time: mid 90s) Jack Astor's around the corner. The arrival was a bit messy as there was no host around and the passing staff paid us no attention. I saw there were some great hightops in the bar so we grabbed one of those. I wanted to keep tabs on the ballgame (playoffs) and besides, my Mom would be the first person to sit on that side anyways! Our server was really good. Fantastic timing and very easy to talk to. She told us that after ESM, the building was converted in to a large pub which never took off, and then Del Friscos for the last 4 years, and she's pretty much been here from the beginning, after 5 years at a nearby Kelsey's that had closed down (chains don't generally do so well in Quebec). She did have another table's appetizer on our bill though. If I hadn't looked at the bill myself, Mom was about to pay an extra $20. That would have fully soured the experience This time I ordered the Chicken Parm with a side of penne and my Mom grabbed the lasagna (she had had it before and LOVED it. I don't think she even looked at the menu.) The portions were great, the salads refreshing and the comfort level in the bar was top notch. Looking forward to a return visit! (Oh, and for you Habs fans out there, apparently Larry Robinson is friends with the owners so he has a dish named after him and also does the radio ads on the local sports radio station!)

This place was amazing!!! Great food and atmosphere. Definitely come here again. Waiter Fred was great.

Our waitress, Annie, was very knowledgeable and gave us excellent service. The mushroom soup was fresh and tasted homemade. Scrumptious! We had crusted ahi tuna for the first time and it was excellent. The apple croissant with ice cream was great. Highly recommended!

Gotta say, this place is fantastic! Wonderful service from the moment we walked in. Our server was friendly, the food runner promptly brought us bread and oil, and even the manager was present on the floor supporting his staff (which is HUGE to me - says a lot about the way the establishment is run). The food was superb. I had their house salad to start, it was great. The Hawaiian pizza was delicious and the cannolis for desert were a nice light finish. We also had a primavera pasta that was great. The pasta was a little too al dente but the chicken was perfectly cooked and came in a large portion. Overall 100% would recommend!

A great family restaurant! Perfect to celebrate any type of occasion. I would definitely recommend to get their grilled chicken or their veal scallopini. Their caesar salad is to DIE FOR with their yummy croutons. The service is really friendly and it has a really nice atmosphere. The only thing I was disappointed with was their cocktails. Not really a fan. But, all in all, i've been here a dozen times and will definately go back!

We have eaten there about 5 times and enjoyed it each time. Last time we tried the Beef And Barley soup which was light but filling, I had a chicken dish and the others had the lamb shank and a vegetarian sandwich. The sauces were light and flavorful; the vegetables nice and crisp. Portions were generous. The atmosphere was relaxed and comfortable. The price was reasonable. Our server was Cinthia, whom we have had before and you couldn't ask for better. She is sweet, courteous, helpful and just a pleasure. We will definitely be going back.

Great kid spot for pizza evidently. Not so much for adults. The calamari was like rubber. Veal Marsala was average at best. The Valpolicella was decent hence the 2 stars.

Had multiple pizzas, chicken parmigiano, shrimp appetizer. All good. They also have a cool bar section.

Del Friscos never disappoints! My family and I frequent Del Friscos often, it is one of our go to restaurants. Whether it's for an occasion or just simply a family dinner out, we've always enjoyed "Del's". I have had many things from their menu and have never been disappointed. From Pizza to Salmon, everything is cooked to perfection. Some of my go to favourites are the Athena pasta and the Colosseo sandwich which are always delectable. It's one of the few restaurants that I'll always try something new, because I'm never disappointed and they often have great table d'hotes. Let's not forget drinks and dessert! On the drink side, they make delicious strawberry daqueries and red sangria, which are sure to satisfy your taste buds. As for dessert, I usually get the cannolis which are always delicious. I recently tried some kind of apple cake/pie dessert and it was AMAZING! I've never left upset from this restaurant and will continue to go back to this restaurant time and time again!

This is your standard chain-like Italian restaurant. The bets thing was the service. The food was fine, nothing special. This place is BUSY. If you are looking for quiet and intimate look elsewhere!

Great food but the service is terrible. I've been at Del Friscos over 20 times and got to know the staff pretty well. The only decent waiter they have would be Andy. I like the pizza specials on hockey nights at the bar by the way. Almost every time I go there there is something wrong with my order. It's not like I ask for special request or anything. Busy night or not busy night. It's either the complete wrong order that is brought to me or for example last time I've went there I got no chicken on a CHICKEN pasta then they re made it but the 2nd time the pasta was cold like it just came out of the fridge. Even though the service is bad 80% of the times I go there, I still keep going back just for the food until I overheard their employees complaining to each other that they didn't get their pay or their checks bounced or something like that. Del Friscos is very poorly managed so I'm avoiding it for now. It's literally been going downhill since 3 years ago. Every time I go there I feel like its getting worse and worse.

I'm a fan, go there often, pizza is always a win win, rack of lamp and scalopini, love it!!

The staff are polite and fast. The food is good and reasonably priced. The atmosphere is casual and relaxed.

Great location. Not sure why the low star reviews. Great food, full bar, not too expensive! Will be back for sure!

Don't eat here. Service SUCKS, food is mediocre, and they don't have tirimisu. They are on the way out and they deserve it.
