This restaurant impressed on multiple levels. The food was exceptional, with each dish offering a distinct and memorable experience. The Shrimp Cocktail was a perfect starter - generous in size and boasting perfectly tender shrimp. The Seared Chilean Sea Bass was the clear highlight of the meal. The combination of perfectly cooked fish with flavorful fried rice and crab was inspired. The Filet Mignon deserves a mention as well. While slightly on the salty side, it was undeniably delicious - a testament to the quality of the cut. Beyond the food, the service truly shined. The staff was exceptionally professional, ensuring a smooth and enjoyable dining experience.

Unusual, cute layout, with a very wide selection of wines. Excellent quality of meat and a lobster cream suiting the windy winter weather. Unbeatable. Very professional service

Del Frisco's Double Eagle Steakhouse, Back Bay Nestled in the heart of Boston's Prudential Center, Del Frisco's Double Eagle Steakhouse boasts a reputation for its exquisite steaks and opulent seafood offerings. Anticipation was high for a dining experience that promised culinary excellence. While the meal itself lived up to expectations, an unsettling service experience unfortunately cast a long shadow over the evening, highlighting a critical area of concern in the realm of hospitality and inclusivity. Culinary Highs: The evening began on a high note with the VIP Drink, a testament to the art of cocktail-making that beautifully balanced flavor and potency. This delightful concoction set the stage for a memorable meal. Appetizers: Our journey commenced with a customizable seafood tower: - King Crab: Served either chilled or warmed, We chose the steamed option offering a transcendent taste experience. - Tuna Tartare: Enhanced by caviar and a shrimp chip, this dish was a symphony of flavors, recommended heartily by our server. - Oysters: Though delicious, the selection felt limited, leaving us yearning for more. - Shrimp Cocktail: Well-prepared, yet lacking the distinctiveness to elevate it above the standard fare. Main Courses: - Porterhouse Steak: This dish stood out as a highlight, surpassing similar offerings at renowned establishments. - A5 Wagyu 6oz: Despite its tenderness, the lack of warmth detracted from the overall enjoyment, hinting at better alternatives elsewhere. Accompaniments + Dessertss - Creamed Corn and Loaded Baked Potato distinguished themselves as exceptional sides. - The Butter Cake, particularly with strawberry sauce, ended our meal on a sublime note, its crispy edges crafting a memorable dessert experience. A Moment of Discomfort Yet, it was not the culinary journey but a singular service incident that defined the evening. Ellen, a hostess, approached our table with a request exclusively directed at me, asking for the removal of my hat in adherence to the restaurant's policy. This request, seemingly mundane, was laden with discomfort upon realization that it was selectively applied. My dining companion, similarly attired but not subjected to the same scrutiny, and other patrons, unnoticed by the policy enforcement, underscored a painful disparity. This selective enforcement was particularly stinging, as it seemed to underscore my identity as both Asian and gay, a perception that Ellen's approach inadvertently emphasized. The ensuing interaction, or rather the lack of a meaningful one, with Ellen and the delayed engagement with management, did little to assuage the feeling of being unjustly singled out in an environment that should champion inclusivity and respect above all. But please note when the management did arrive she was delightful and understanding. I exclaimed to her my reason for speaking with her was not for any type of compensation but to share my experience as I would never want anyone else to experience this type of service when spending $$$$. Reflections on Hospitality This experience at Del Frisco's Double Eagle Steakhouse serves as a poignant reminder of the critical importance of equitable treatment and sensitivity within the hospitality industry. A restaurant's reputation is built not only on the quality of its cuisine but also on the caliber of its service and the warmth of its welcome to all guests, irrespective of their background or identity. In conclusion, while the dishes served at Del Frisco's were a testament to culinary expertise, the evening was overshadowed by a moment that highlighted the essential need for greater awareness, training, and commitment to inclusivity in the service sector. The true measure of a dining experience lies not only in the enjoyment of the meal but in feeling valued and respected throughout the encounter.

I had a wonderful experience at Del Friscos! The ambiance was delightful, and it was the perfect spot for my birthday celebration. The staff went above and beyond to make sure everything was just right, allowing my mom to decorate the table with birthday napkins and decorations. To kick off the meal, they presented a sizzling pan of delectable buttery rolls - a word of caution: they're so good that you might want to save room for the main course! Exploring the appetizers, I decided to try their Shanghai-Style Fried Calamari, and it was truly a revelation. Despite not being a seafood enthusiast, I was pleasantly surprised by them. Unlike the usual breaded and fried versions, these were coated in a delightful sweet chili glaze, which made them incredibly flavorful. I also tried the wedge salad, which was refreshing and satisfying. Moving on to the main event, I opted for the prime porterhouse steak. The cut was fantastic, with well-rendered fat that enhanced the overall flavor. As a personal weakness for creamed corn, I couldn't resist ordering it as a side, along with the Brussels sprouts. All in all, Del Friscos provided an exceptional dining experience. From the warm atmosphere to the attentive staff and mouthwatering dishes, it was a birthday celebration to remember.

Came here with a large group of 11 people, very good service until they brought the main course. Most of us ordered the 45 day aged stake, which was absolutely delicious. Unfortunately once they deliverer the main course, all waiters have disappeared, none of us could order any wine with our steaks. How can you leave your customers with a really good steak but do not give them a chance to order wine. Finally staff appeared once we almost finished the food to collect the plates. This is not good steakhouse etiquette.

Went on a date here the other night and everything was tremendous! To start, our server Victoria was incredible, super nice, very attentive, and had all the answers to every question we asked. For an appetizer we got the wagyu meatballs which were out of this world delicious. Afterwards, I got the NY strip that came out cooked to a perfect medium rare with every bite juicier than the last. 15/10 recommend this spot for a nice date night for you and the Mrs.

We came here to celebrate my mom’s Birthday, it was the best service we’ve ever had. Mark was amazing, attentive to us. The food was also amazing . Mark deserves a raise😁

Google
This place was good but we felt it was a bit over priced for what we actually got. It's great place for an upscale dining experience, the seafood Tower when we ordered was very small portions probably the smallest lobster tail I've ever seen and it was cut in half so I would not reccomend it. You can't go wrong with any of the steaks and sides. Those were delicious. We did not have room for dessert but were told the butter cake is where it is at.

Yelp
The restaurant beautiful and vast. Service top-notch. Fantastic cuisine. Clean sleek and modern decor.

Yelp
Came here on my Birthday last summer and LOVED the interior design... all of you Vino lovers will not be disappointed in their selection. Front desk staff was friendly and attentive. We had a lovely time. Everything we ate was good. If you are looking to take someone out to impress then I highly recommend this restaurant. Parking is always expensive in the city but the entrance is conveniently located on Boylston so you don't necessarily need to deal with the foot traffic inside of the Pru. My favorite items were the Mussels and the Wedge. Oh! Oh! and the rolls too How could I have forgotten those delicious morsels! Respectfully Reviewed.

Yelp
Amazing food, I had a great time, perfect serves, beautiful restauran, I loved the live music, and recommend the vip, incredible service, thanks guys.

Yelp
Great location and indoor ambiance. Service is top notch and the wine selection is stunning but very pricy (many over $1,000). Was a bit disappointed in the cut of my ribeye. It was a bit tougher and had more grist than I expected. Side dishes were outstanding and good sized.

Yelp
It was my first time here earlier this month for a friend's birthday. I underestimated how large this restaurant is.. I walked through the street entrance which and walked in to the bar area searching for our party then found another section, still no sight of our party. So we looked for the hostess who was able to show us our party in yet another section of the restaurant. High ceilings with walls of glass with wine bottles inside of them. It was a very large group for a 8pm reservation on a Saturday night. Majority of the party didn't arrive until 8:45pm so this caused a delay to put in our orders which we were told if we got it in by 9:15pm, we'll be okay. They give you a pan of garlic bread which is so good it was addictive. My husband and I ordered the: bone-in filet medium rare- good, buttery lobster mac and cheese- very good roasted carrots - some of them could have cooked a little longer and sautéed mushrooms- these were very good We all got food within reasonable time, by 9:40pm. But shortly after the servers and bus boys were trying to clear the table while it was obvious we were still chewing and a decent amount of food still in our plates. The birthday girl had gotten up to use the bathroom, no one saw when it happened nor was anyone acknowledged to ask if it should be packed to go or anything, but she came back to her plate taken away barely having any of her food yet. This was quite upsetting. The rushed service had really dampened the experience of the special occasion.

John Y.

Yelp
It's just not what I expect from a top-notch steakhouse. Steak is not prime, way too veiny n chewy. Maybe they should pay attention to quality instead of quantity.

Jennifer V.

Yelp
Del Friscos is nice and the food is ok but I do think it's a bit pricey. If you like the chain steakhouse feel then this is a good place. I just wasn't wowed if I'm going to be honest.

Benjamin K.

Yelp
A superb steakhouse, my favorite order being the wonderful filet mignon and always great sides. The space is sprawling and labyrinthian (easy to get lost looking for the restroom!) with a unique atmosphere; some of the walls double as these glass wine racks with bottles in them. The service is very good too. Edit: Had to knock my score down by a star because the last time I ate here about a year ago now, the prices had been raised unreasonably high. The only option my companion and I had was this smaller steak medallion dish with some veggies and mashed potatoes, which was very good and just enough food for a dinner. Don't think I'll return unless they lower the cost. I'd say don't go unless you have money to burn!

Noelia O.

Yelp
Great customer service specially our server! Food was amazing and the amount of food portion was incredible! Ambiance was great. Nothing bad to say! Will definitely be back!

Rob J.

Yelp
4 of us were seated in the bar side not the restaurant without giving us an option, waitress was young and inattentive forgot one salad, she was also texting behind the bar while we waited dirty plates to be removed, didn't offer any specials and and had to ask for bread 3 times then it finally came with dinner. Appetizers were ok, clams casino were burnt and all 4 meals were nothing special. All and all not bad but certainly not worth the 800+ dollars we spent. Definitely disappointed compared to the last 3-4 times we have dined there.

James S.

Yelp
Mediocre food. Atrocious service. For a huge price. This is your place. Just so disappointed, as the NYC outlet has been quite good.

Sara Jieyi T.

Yelp
Can I just say the yummy, soft and fluffy warm bread they served at the beginning of the meal wins my heart!! The desserts and appetizers were good as well. The steak was decent, but I'd go for the bread and dessert! Food: 8/10 Service: 9/10 Experience: 9/10 Value: 8/10

S D.

Yelp
I've been to many of the finer steakhouses; Ruth's Chris, Morton's, Flemings, Abe and Louie's and by far this was the only location where I felt gouged on the pricing. Nothing more than absolute greed! Service is marginal to say the least. Ruined a planned birthday celebration for my wife. Thanks for nothing! Will never go back. Let's see what Kait W has to say. More proof that they just don't care

Yelp
Dinner was great, server was great. Manager Rebecca B. was very unprofessional and not helpful. She ruined our experience

Mari R.

Yelp
Very good food! I came here after a 6 hours flight and I was so hungry. The place was about to open and the manager allowed us to enter a few minutes ahead. Everything was delicious. The beef, the sides, the dessert; everything. Service was excellent too. Thank you very much for going the extra mile!

Yelp
I come here for the lobster bisque. The very best and I promise you that I tried them all. The last time I came here, they said no more lobster bisque, and they possibly still serve it at another location. The service is good. Food is mediocre.

Yelp
Danny is an absolutely amazing bartender! Very warm and welcoming. Easily one of my favorite bars in Boston!

Yelp
I came here for my birthday recently and I LOVED it!!! Everything was soo good from the bread down to the appetizers, entrees, dessert and drinks. They exceeded my expectations. I usually never care for bread, but theirs was soo good, buttery, warm and soft we had to request another one. I hate eating bread because i want to save my appetite for my meal and not be full fast, but I couldn't help it! For appetizers, we ordered the dynamite shrimp and Shanghai-style fried calamari. The calamari was really delicious, it came in a sweet chili sauce. The shrimp needed more sauce, it almost tasted like nothing. I ordered the prime ribeye for my entree and added a lobster tail. The steak was seasoned so well I didn't feel the need to ask for sauce. We ordered lobster mac and cheese and seasonal asparagus for sides. Then for dessert, we had the butter cake which was CHEF'S KISS!! It was soo good, honestly one of the best desserts I've ever had. I had a strawberry lemon drop for my drink. I wish I had room to try their other drinks but I was soo full. This restaurant is located at prudential center on a busy street. We parked at the parking garage down the street. I cannot wait to come back here again!

Pear B.

Yelp
"Dine out" night out was a good reminder that I could see us having a celebration here. It's very nice for them to start us out with fresh hot bread. The sesame crusted tuna was well presented and tasted good. The butter cake had a nice balance of sugar, sweet , caramel sauce with ice cream.

Yelp
Del Frisco's is always our go to. We go for anniversaries, holidays, birthdays. Typically we have a good experience however New Year's Eve was terrible! . Reservation for 10:30, we got there at 10:15 and figured we would have to wait - no biggie. At 10:30 another couple comes in and says they have a reservation for 10:30. At 10:45 this couple was taken. We were taken almost 10 minutes after that. I feel like we got there first and should have been seated first. The front desk greeters were also clearly aggravated that they were working. They were not pleasant at all. This is why I chose not to say anything to them because I didn't want their attitude to ruin my night! Upon sitting down we did not have silverware or napkins. Our waiter came over took our drink orders and stepped away. After 15 minutes someone came up to us and said "has your server even been here yet? Do you want water?" Another 10 minutes go by until we got our water. Our alcoholic drinks got to the table before our water. Finally the waiter comes back and takes our appetizer order. The lobster bisque tasted more like lobster broth and had 3 dry pieces of lobster in it. The crab cakes were great. Finally the waiter came and took our entree order. When our appetizers were cleared so were our forks (that we had to ask for). When the entrees finally came, they did not bring the butter for my husbands lobster tail which he had asked for, and we still did not have new forks. Finally after flagging someone down we were able to get forks to eat our food. My steak was extremely dry, even though I asked for medium. I would have mentioned it to the waiter but we didn't see him for another 15 minutes and by that point my husband was almost done with his food and I was over it!! You would think when we asked for the bill that he would have asked if there was something wrong with my food considering I literally only had 1 bite! But no, no one seemed bothered. My other problem is that they clearly do not enforce any type of dress code. I thought this was suppose to be a high end steak house but there were women in there with there whole bottoms showing, and men in hoodies and sneakers. So classless. I understand it was a holiday and so they were busy but like I mentioned before we always go on busy days and have never had this bad of experience. It's really unfortunate because we have spent a lot of money here over the years as well as last night. I feel bad we didn't tip as much as we typically do but I just could not justify a large tip for the experience we had. Please enforce a dress code! This is a high end restaurant not a ratchet club!

Denise M.

Yelp
When you walk in you know it's going to be a good meal with the wine cellar I dream about on grand display. The gluten free options are for gluten sensitivity so be warned it's not a gluten free kitchen. We shared the steak tartare, delicious with Dijon mustard and my gluten free bread they served me, always pleased when gluten free bread is provided, it equals out the experience for everyone at the table. I ordered the lamb chops with asparagus and mashed potatoes. Heaven on my plate. All were done exceptionally and with it being only 4pm we had our servers attention start to finish. I'll be back here in the new year!

Jerry D.

Yelp
This restaurant entrance is located in the Prudential Center. As soon as you walk in, you're greeted by wonderful hostesses. There's like a walk in glass encased fully stocked wine closet. I think there had to be over 2000 bottles in it. Just beautifully located in what I think is a work of art. People enjoying their meals and each other. The bar area had people smiling and laughing. Sara was awesome, very attentive and got our orders correct! She came back throughout the meal to make sure we had everything we needed. The filet medallions were very flavorful and good. Each on a bed of Château Mashed Potatoes, Thin Green Beans & Red Wine Demi-Glaze. The Colorado lamb chops were perfectly made too, just the way I like them. Seasoned to perfection (I asked for them not to add the pistachio crust to it). The chops went with with the Toffee Carrot Puree, Sweet and Sour Pearl onions. My peoples had the roasted chicken which came with Arugula, Heirloom Tomato Vinaigrette, Black Garlic-Olive Tapenade and they said it was really good!!! I had the butter cake with vanilla ice cream. This was awesome, flavors upon flavors with each bite. So good was getting ready to order a second one, but didn't want to be greedy. Overall a good time was had by all!!

Anne Marie T.

Yelp
Love it here- very classy, great drinks, laid back vibe. Low lights, good music , awesome apps. My 25 yo daughter loves it here as well, crosses generations.

Kaitlyn M.

Yelp
Beautiful dinner, fast but thoughtful service, and our server Grayson was courteous, professional and created a great experience. We would definitely come back if we lived here!

Fernando P.

Yelp
Hi! I will like to report the waitress guy because he was so unprofessional when my wife and I we like to keep the joint on the night at the restaurant!

Alexander S.

Yelp
Not worth it. I went with my friend and it was definitely not worth it. The first person that came to the table was to ask what kind of water we wanted and being there for 5 minutes. He spilled the warm water on the table and seemed generally confused each time he came. The waiter was pretty standard. The food however was like warm. The entrée took an hour and 45 minutes to arrive and was warm. Mashed potatoes were crusted over. My Manhattan tasted like syrup and my ice tea tasted like oyster water. Received absolutely no apology for the food and waiter seemed insulted when asked what was going on. People were seated and fed and left that came in after us. This was the worst steak house I have been to in Boston. I been to the one in seaport and almost the exact same experience except the bottle of wine which was several hundred dollars was room temperature. Do not advise spending money here with the way we were treated TWICE!

John D.

Yelp
Went for restaurant week. Had an aurora of pretensiousness regarding restaurant week. Service was great, food was not. Ordered a salmon and two steak dinners, one of which was easily 60 % fat. The other had less fat, but still fatty and both overcooked. We chose the worse of the two to send back and waitress resolved nicely with a perfectly cooked replacement. Manager also came by and apologize, which was nice. Issue is with kitchen, there is no way they were not aware that the steak was over half fat but still cooked and served. There were some definite highlights, lobster bisque and cheesecake, but will probably never go again. Was looking forward to trying based on client recommendations. It was a birthday celebration that was extremely disappointing.

Kayla Y.

Yelp
I came here for a Valentine's Day dinner and the food was good, but didn't justify the price we paid. The presentation of the food was subpar and the service was slow and unenthusiastic. Overall, I think the restaurant is pretty mediocre for the amount you're paying.

Lauren J.

Yelp
3.5 stars. I came by myself for Dine Out Boston on a Tuesday night. I made a reservation for 6:30 and arrived on time. The seating was a bit confusing because I gave my name at the front desk and was asked to wait. Then, they took me to another desk and I waited again. Ok... The restaurant was not even half full. It's a HUGE space and there was an entire dining room space that was empty. So, I was seated and promptly given water, bread and butter. The bread wasn't warm like I've had on previous visits to Del Frisco's locations, but it was still good. I was given a regular menu when I sat down, but did not have the Dine Out Boston menu from which I wanted to order. I proceeded to watch people hustle by for 15 minutes and not even glance in my direction. I eventually flagged someone down and asked to see my waiter. Apparently, the guy that had walked past me 10 times and was helping the table to my right, didn't know that I was his table. Accidents happen, but c'mon. 15 minutes? And it was obvious that I wasn't waiting for someone as they had cleared the other place setting and no one even asked me for a drink order. Anyway - I wouldn't say the waiter was apologetic, but he made an excuse of not knowing I was his table. Whatevs. I asked for the Dine Out Menu and I think he knew to skip the spiel he gave the table next to me. I wasn't in the mood - I just wanted to see the menu and order. I got my requisite VIP cocktail with clementine vodka and pineapple. So good! It was even better than the one I had at the Seaport Del Frisco's last month. I savored every drop. I ended up ordering the lobster bisque, 8 oz filet mignon, medium rare and the cheesecake. The food was amazing! The lobster bisque had little lobster chunks that I made sure to eat all of. My filet mignon came out at the perfect temperature and was seasoned beautifully. I think they only do salt and pepper or something, but there's so much flavor! The filet also came with mashed potatoes that were quite tasty. It looked like a small portion on the plate, but I ended up taking some of it home. The cheesecake was also delicious and came with a berry sauce. It was super rich and creamy. I ended up making it into 3 portions! So! While the food was amazing, the service was less so. Not only was I neglected for the first 15 minutes of my visit, there was also A LOT of time in between courses. Like 15+ minutes. I was done with the soup and it took forever for the steak. I had the rest of the steak wrapped up and it took forever for the cheesecake. I then waited to get the cheesecake wrapped up and waited for the bill. The waiting was super annoying. I did hear the waiter say to the women next to me that there was a large party in the back who had ordered all at once, so the kitchen was backed up. I call BS. Again, the place was maybe half full and you can't handle the number of orders? Not to mention that 2 out of the 4 women's steaks next to me got sent back for being overdone. Mine was perfect, but I saw them cut into there's and there was no pinkness to be found on their medium rares. Oh well. Hit and miss. I'd come back to this location and to Del Frisco's on the whole (I've been eating at Del Frisco's since my NY days). I just hope they can improve their service, 'cause the food is delicious.

Ali M.

Yelp
As others have said, service here is terrible. I sat at the bar and was ignored most of the time. I timed 20 min with an empty water glass before I gave up and asked for more. Staff were generally grumpy and only interested in the sports on TV. When you're paying top dollar for food, the service should match and it falls flat. Bar seemed to be full of well over served middle aged men who had been lingering for hours. Couldn't wait to leave and would never return.

Ka T.

Yelp
Brought in a party of about 20 everyone had a great meal. The staff was very attentive except for filling up waters. We had to as a few times hence the 4 stars. At a place with this price point i would expect water to be taken care of without asking. Otherwise great experience.

Megan H.

Yelp
The service and ambiance are wonderful - they're what you're paying for. The food is also very good, but something you can likely find elsewhere for a lower price point. We arrived at 6:30 on a Monday night and the restaurant was nearly empty - maybe four full tables and two private events. We were seated and welcomed immediately. The servers were truly wonderful. They were very aware of our needs, and we appreciated all of the small, service details (like serving our side dish for us). They were friendly, efficient, and professional. The restaurant itself is beautiful. It was exceptionally clean and well-designed. It is everything you want for an upscale dining experience. As for the food, we ordered the tuna tartare (appetizer), the creamed spinach (side), and the salmon / prime rib eye (entrees). All of the food was very good, but the tuna tartare was the only dish that I thought was particularly unique. Just a word of warning - my husband ordered the butter "topping" for his steak, and it was an additional $15. High rollers likely won't balk, but we were definitely surprised by the price tag. Overall, it was a great dining experience, but I will only return for very special occasions.

James O.

Yelp
good enough food, but experience ruined when I found an extra $14 charge for "au poivre sauce" and "garlic butter topping". Who would think an ounce of sauce would cost that much extra when the original steak was $63. Would never again go to a place this dishonest.

Bryan Y.

Yelp
One of the worst service I've ever experienced. The waitress purposely ignored my request even when I waved at her multiple times on many occasions. She also placed the wrong order and blamed on my mom. It took forever to get the food ready. Don't come to this place, it's not worth your time and money.

Yelp
I won't talk about the few things that I disliked about my first visit here because I was so happy about the things that I did enjoy. The service is A1. Kate did everything to ensure we left happy. And we did. Lobster bisque was so damn good. Filet mignon with Alaskan king crab truffle butter- smooth and yummy chateau mashed potatoes Topped off with an enticing cheesecake and chocolate mousse. Ugh!!!! Came back to try again. Won't be back. Korinne was awesome tho.

Yelp
Ordered take out recently on Christmas Day at the Prudential location. Usually, I go to the Seaport location but they had put take out orders on hold for the evening and referred me to the Prudential location. We ordered 3 steaks - two 32 oz tomahawk long bones and one 12 oz filet mignon and they were more on the saltier side. They were flavorful but my mom and brother were disappointed on how salty their steaks were. But really appreciated that Del Frisco's was open on Christmas Day during the pandemic. The staff was also really friendly over the phone and had called to follow up with me to make sure I knew the order was ready for pick up. And even after opening the food an hour from the time it was ready, I was impressed the steaks were well packaged and still warm. Though the steaks were on the saltier side, the Del Frisco's steaks were still better/less saltier than the steak I had at Eddie V Prudential earlier this year.

Yelp
We came here because we had a gift card, otherwise I would definitely skip. Service was pretty good, nothing to write home about but not bad like some other reviewers were saying. Food ranged from average to good, and definitely wasn't worth the price. Highlight was the filet, but everything else was generally underwhelming. Desserts were way too sweet and didn't taste freshly made at all.

Yelp
I came here during restaurant week - made a reservation for 8:15pm on a Friday and ended up running late so I called ahead and told them. I arrived around 8:35pm and was not seated until about 9:05pm. Oh well, it was my fault for running late in the first place so I'm not complaining. A lot of people were also waiting in the lobby - the restaurant is quite big on the inside, it looks really nice. Upon sitting down, we were greeted by our server, and bread was brought over. I wasn't a fan of the unsalted butter and sesame on the bread, but bread is bread. Before coming to the restaurant, I already knew which items I was going to choose from. I did go with the restaurant week options, however my boyfriend and I both upgraded our entrees for an extra $25 to the 45 day dry aged prime ribeye because filet mignons are too lean. We ordered the lobster bisque along with chocolate mousse and cheesecake for dessert. We also ordered Duck Confit Meatballs - they were AMAZING, literally wiped all the sauce off the plate. Definitely worth it. The flavor and sear on the steaks were good - they actually had us cut into the steaks when they brought it out to make sure it was how we liked them. The lighting is not that great, so my boyfriend did not realized that his steak was a bit undercooked. We had both ordered medium rare cooks. It was fine to eat though, and it worked out for our leftovers when we reheated it on the stove it was still soft since it wasn't overdone. The mashed potatoes were just plain mashed potatoes, I wish we got more of it though. Our dinner was almost two hours long before desserts, so the service is quite slow. If you're not looking to dine for a really long time, make sure to ask for your food to come out quicker. We had somewhere to go that night so I had to ask for my dessert to-go. The cheesecake was REALLY good, it was light and fluffy unlike other really dense cheesecakes. Recommended for date night but only if you're paying restaurant week prices. With the upgrade, each of our 3-course meal went from $38 to $63, which is less expensive compared to ordering the 45 day dry aged steak as an entree ($68).

Yelp
Overall, it was very mediocre food (steak was terrible), very slow service (for both food and drinks) and our waiter was just not trained well. Here's a handful of things that stood out from that epic night: 1. Drinks took forever to arrive. Their excuse was that they only had one bartender working. Well, it's Memorial day weekend when the city is opening up to full capacity after covid ... wouldn't you think you need to have additional staff? 2. Our dinner took over 3 hours, apps came pretty quickly after we ordered, but steak took forever. Apps were ok, good shrimp, totally over-seasoned calamari, mediocre meatballs. One steak was all salt, another had no seasoning at all ... both were so so old! Tasted like they've been frozen since pre-covid. We had them done medium rare and had trouble cutting them! The table shook ... but also because their steak knives were so dull (some silverware was also dirty). There was a large plastic toothpick under one of the steaks. 3. While ordering, we asked our waiter was does "double eagle" mean ... he said (and I quote) "It's a namesake, kind of like McDonalds" ... facepalm for your manager buddy. Left us wondering if the food is going to be "like McDonalds" also. 4. We were a large group and ordered 2 bottles of the same wine for dinner. The following happened after - they brought out one of the bottles, opened it in front of us, my husband tasted it and they said they will take it back to the bar to pour it into a decanter (why not do this at the table?). Then, they brought a decanter full of wine, said it came from the second bottle, had my husband taste it and left it on the table. Not really sure what we ended up drinking there ... 5. While taking our order, the waiter took a used empty glass from the table and as he moved to the next couple to take their order, realized he can't hold the glass and write at the same time, put that empty glass next to that couple, took their order, got destructed with something and walked away from the table ... leaving that couple sitting next to someone else's dirty glass. Yelp
This was an almost perfect experience. I went here during restaurant week and I was overwhelmingly surprised on how good the three-course lunch menu was for $25. They used really good quality meat for my filet mignon delicious mashed potatoes. They even cooked it medium rare as requested which is impressive. The lobster bisque was one of the best piece I ever had. It was not salty or a really thick and creamy... you definitely had the lobster taste that comes from the shells itself. At the end, the chocolate moose was excellent and they added chocolate truffles bits and they were dark chocolate and in the mix and it was one of the best I've ever had. The only drawback from this place was that I unnecessarily had to wait for my table even though I checked in early waiting for friend and our waiter's tone was a little bit on the "rough around the edges" side but he was friendly I made sure that my steak knife was cleaned properly. The location was conveniently next to the Prudential Mall.

Yelp
Nobody at the front desk to greet you. I had to ask three times at the bar for a dinner menu. DF is losing its mojo

Yelp
Was here for Dine-out-Boston. I got Lobster bisque, 45 day aged prime rib, & Cheesecake. All were delicious in their own way . The dry age prime rib was perfectly cooked on the outside and inside. Service was pretty constant.. it's pricy here, but worth it.

Yelp
I do not know where those bad reviews came from. We went there several nights ago and we had Brenden for a server. He was attentive and charming and prompt. I don't know what these other reviewer's want? We had filet mignon which was the most tender I have ever had in my very long life and the bread I could've eaten for years but then I wouldn't of been able to get out of the booth! Lol. How I would solve the restaurant is that it is too big and cold looking. But as far as service and food, it was great. Be advised it is not low budget. It is worth every penny and I'm trying to figure out how to go back.

Yelp
I went here 6/16 for our door patio sitting. Every thing we ate was so good and honestly worth the price. We got the filet mignon, bone in prime strip, creamed spinach and mashed potatoes. Also got dirty martinis with blue cheese stuffed olives. I rarely order steak because I don't know much about steak, but I had such a good experience with our waiter who throughly explained the cuts that I had to try one. I really wish I remember our waiters name because he was sooo funny and knowledgeable and extremely attentive. I think his name was Steven. I think he said his wife is from bulgaria. Anyway we will definitely be going back and hopefully can get this waiter again because it made our experience worth all the $$$$.

Yelp
We had a reservation at 12:30, and weren't served our main course till 1:50pm. There was a table of 7 seated about 30 minutes after us, and they were served their main courses before us. I had also asked our server for a lemon for my water, 30 mins went by and we didn't see him, so I asked a nearby busboy. The Caesar salad was drenched in dressing, the filet mignon that I had ordered medium rare was over cooked to medium-well done, and the creme brûlée we received was ok, the top crystallized part was barely done and covered in an unnecessary powdered sugar. The lobster bisque was probably the best thing we ordered. We ended up leaving at 2:30, from what was supposed to be a 1hr lunch. When we came in the restaurant wasn't busy and our server originally rushed us for our orders, then disappeared for most of the time. I was expecting much more from del Frisco's given its reputation

Yelp
Very disappointing. Had to send tomahawk steak back as very undercooked. Was fatty and tasteless. Good baked potato but bland heirloom carrots. Service was terrible. Waitress disappeared for 10 min at a time and other times was hovering trying to clear plates while we were still eating. Ordered green tea to find out they were out of it. Should have gone to Capital Grill!

Yelp
I gave this place a 4star mainly because the food is good but I had better at others steakhouse around Boston, the place is super nice and clean, staff is welcoming and professional.

Yelp
Randomly walked into this place. We were offered immediate seating in a booth by the bar. The seating was great, very comfortable, perfect for people watching and two managers were walking to each table to check in. 1. As you sit, you are offered Soft and warm sesame bread with butter on the side. Here's a list of what we ordered: -Shellfish plateau for 2 came with 3 pieces of shrimp, mango lobster chilled salad (no bueno, it was too sweet), 2 oysters, and lobster....as you could see it didn't come with crab claws. - Lobster Mac and cheese always on point and very cheesy. - For such a classy and expensive restaurant I would expect staff to cut and label my steak at table side. Steak was soft, although I ordered medium well, was more on the well side. All the juice was by the bone and so was all the pepper... - the lamb was cut prior to being brought to the table and cooked medium well to perfection. - I was more impress by the huge bar, ambiance, wine rooms than the steak it self.

Yelp
Came here for a work dinner. The private dining area is pretty cool with walls covered with wine bottles. For appetizers we had the salad with bacon avocado dressing that was delicious. For main entree I got the 8 oz filet mignon. It was very disappointing. First presentation/sides were disappointing as you can see in the picture. The second I ordered medium rare and this was definitely well cooked... The dessert was the chocolate mousse which was disappointing as well.

Yelp
What a fascinating place! First, it's giNORMous! HUGE. Especially since it's in the Back Bay, where prime real estate is beaucoup bucks. I'm not kidding. I expected large, but not Disneyland large. First, that wine collection. I'm a regular patron of a place in LA called "Wally's", which is known for it's wine, all $2 million of it, and that's just at one of its two locations. For me, that's the benchmark for wine and atmosphere. I never thought I'd find anything as cool in my hometown, possibly even better. Yes, I know there are several Double Eagle steakhouses. I've been to several. But none have the kind of vibe this Boylston location has.... this place is classy, yet NOT STUFFY (no offense to the other locations). I really like this place. 5-stars is possible, but after I come a few more times for consistency and other menu items. I came here a couple times this month for lunch, and the place was very empty, which was just PERFECT for me for a business lunch. Felt like I had the place to myself, and thoroughly enjoyed my lobster salad, and 2, 3, ok, 4 glasses of wine. What really got me was the fantastic service. From bartender, to host, to waitress, I almost forgot what city I was in, because it definitely didn't feel like traditional Boston. I love the staff, especially one of our waitresses, who I can't recall the name of, but know she attended Boston U. I'll be back plenty more with my menu escapades!
