Thanksgiving Options for Dine-In or Takeout in San Diego

"This steakhouse is serving a prix fix menu for $49 on Thanksgiving. Look for traditional turkey with all the trimmings like mashed sweet potatoes and pan gravy, and a choice of pecan or pumpkin pie." - Darlene Horn

Where To Order Special Occasion Takeout in San Diego

"Del Frisco’s meal kits require some effort at home but for the home cook, there’s little to no prep. Choose from a steak or salmon dinner for two, complete with salad, two sides, dessert and add-ons like truffle butter and lobster tail." - Darlene Horn

Where to Eat Steak in San Diego

"Del Frisco’s is an east coast upscale steakhouse chain that opened its first west coast location in San Diego during 2018. The flashy, two-level restaurant is in the new Intercontinental San Diego hotel and is particularly known for its Double Eagle chop, which comes with a numbered medallion." - Jackie Bryant

Where to Get Lunch Downtown - Eater San Diego

"Long an East Coast staple, Del Frisco’s Double Eagle Steakhouse recently landed its first West Coast location in San Diego. It is for a very specific kind of lunching: expensive and of the power-kind. Those with deep pockets, a love for steak and/or a corporate card can hardly do better than a working lunch at this high-end steakhouse chain restaurant." - Jackie Bryant

We had a great dinner at this steakhouse—the steaks were cooked perfectly and full of flavor! The overall meal was definitely on the rich side, so come hungry or be ready to pace yourself. We admittedly ordered way too much food for just the two of us, but the portions were generous and the leftovers lasted us for days—which we’re not mad about! Our server was very kind and attentive, making sure we had everything we needed throughout the meal. All in all, it was a satisfying and indulgent experience, perfect for a special night out!

We came here for a dinner date and loved the ambiance—our table had an incredible view of the bay, and watching the sunset while we ate made the whole experience feel extra special and romantic. I ordered the filet mignon, and it was absolutely perfect. Well-seasoned, tender, and flavorful—I even got garlic butter on the side, but honestly didn’t need it at all. That’s how good it was. Unfortunately, my husband’s experience wasn’t quite as smooth. He ordered the 45-day dry-aged steak, medium, but it came out very rare. A bit of a letdown considering how much we were looking forward to trying it. Overall, the atmosphere and my dish were great, but a little more attention to detail on the steak temperatures would’ve made it perfect.

my fiance and I wanted to have our date night and did not make reservations anywhere. he always says tell the first goes somehow is always available for last minute reservations, and we got lucky that it was. even more lucky we decided to sit on the patio which apparently everyone else thought it would be too cold for so it ended up being just us for essentially our whole meal! the patio is very well heated and enclosed enough where you don't feel any of the cold outside, you overlook the water and it's so beautiful and intimate. our great experience doesn't stop there, or service was amazing, our server was very knowledgeable, tentative, and sweet. we ordered a variety of dishes starting off with a caviar which tasted amazing. we both ordered the ribeye steak medium cooked since they usually undercook their steaks. we got a side of mac and cheese lobster, broccolini, and their mushrooms. we ordered their Paloma which was interesting because it has tequila and Mezcal in it, if your Mezcal lover definitely recommend trying this. overall this is a great, fine dining Steakhouse for date night in downtown over the waterfront.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Del Friscos where Gaven was our server, and I must say, the experience was outstanding. From the moment we were seated, Gaven's warm and friendly demeanor set the tone for a fantastic dining experience. He was attentive, knowledgeable about the menu, and went above and beyond to ensure that our dining experience was top-notch. Not only was the service exceptional, but the food was also absolutely delicious. Every dish that we ordered was thoughtfully prepared, flavorful, and beautifully presented. From the appetizers to the main course to dessert, each bite was a culinary delight that left us wanting more. The BUTTER CAKE IS A MUST! If you're looking for a place with great food and excellent service, be sure to visit Del Friscos and ask for Gaven as your server. You won't be disappointed!!!

The server was very attentive, he was great. We started with the Shanghai calamari- very tasteful and for drinks- 24k margarita. I really was looking towards a great dinner till we got our tasteless dry with no flavor steak, creamy way too creamy corn with no flavor and the DRY BURNT, not roasted but bitter mushroom that we did not even touch! We pretty much just had the drink and the calamari. We walked in hungry and walked out starving. I am not sure what happened to this place but definitely not going back.

Definitely recommend this place for rooftop dining, a family outing or a romantic date. We indulged in the famous addictive melt in your mouth bread and toasted to the best espresso martinis in the city. The combination of their seafood and steak selection is unparalleled. The thick cut bacon that’s sous vide for two days and dressed in a smoked bourbon molasses sauce is unlike anything we’ve ever tried. A special thank you management team, Peter, who was remarkable in making sure our evening was top tier, from making the reservation to continuously checking on us to make sure the service and was up to standards. He also recommended the perfect wine selection to pair with the dishes. Thank you Riley for the kindness and humor while delivering bread to us multiple times, warning us how we may eat a whole loaf to ourselves (which we did) & to the amazing talent, our ears are still ringing with joy and we can’t wait to hear you again! I can’t thank you all enough for making our night unforgettable.

As I would expect, I enjoyed very much my dinner at Del Frisco. Nice decoration with a quiet atmosphere, the team was very attentive and addressed all my requests. The bone-in ribeye was incredibly tasty. I asked it rare and it was perfectly prepared. The wild mushrooms were pretty good too!

As a vegetarian, I don’t typically frequent steakhouses, but I joined my partner for a prix fixe work dinner here and we had a lovely experience. They were able to accommodate my dietary needs on short notice without hesitation and put together a delicious vegetarian entree that impressed everyone at the table. The staff were friendly and incredibly attentive, and all of the food and drinks were fantastic.
