This is a great little bar for drinking and dancing with a fun tiki/jungle theme. They also have a selection of card games to play for free. I highly recommend this place if you are looking for a good time! The bartender/owner is friendly and easy going.

We treated ourselves to the delightful "Orange is the New Julius Slushies," a concoction of Tito's Vodka, Orange Juice, and Milk Vanilla. The drink was truly enjoyable, hitting the right notes of flavor. The atmosphere is electric, with a lively vibe that elevates the overall experience. The interior is undeniably charming, as depicted in the photo.

OMG, I love this place. I think it’s like Blanche’s bedroom. The only thing they’re missing is serving shots that contain whipped cream and cheesecake. I hope they have that soon. The bartender was also amazing and poured great drinks! Can’t wait to come back again.

I absolutely loved this bar we hit up yesterday. Del Mar has so much character and uniqueness. The swings, hand carved flamingo wall decor in the woman's bathroom, the witty named cocktails were just a few of the very many details that stood out. Our bartender was super sweet and took time to make sure our cocktails were just perfect. So perfect that he had to take a picture of them (of course I did as well) and then took a picture of us with our cocktails. They offer a giant Jenga in the back of the bar and other board games at the bar that you can take to your table. Nice place for a date or to hang with a group of people

Fun, festive bar with SWINGS! I came here around 7:00pm on a Saturday, and had a great time sipping strong cocktails and playing Exploding Kittens with my girlfriend. I hear it gets pretty wild at night, but the music was already amazing early in the evening. Highly recommend as a fun kickback spot! Look forward to checking it out again late at night and see what that crowd is like.

Still love this place! One of the only bars in the Marina that doesn't make me hate my life and feel super old (I'm only in my late 20's but it's college central over there lol) The bartenders and security are nice and I'm never going to get sick of the sour gummy candies that come with the slushy drink. I did learn that the mystery shot changes all the time though. I kind of feel like they mix together random leftover alcohol but whatever I guess it truly is a mystery shot LOL. My friends and I still definitely prefer to hang out back near the bar or tables and people watch everyone on the dance floor lol! Or if we're lucky grab a seat at one of the swings!

I wish I took more photos! This bar is so cute!! I love the tropical beach theme, kinda gives Miami vibes which is different. It's a small bar with a few tables and a small dance floor and one bar top. There are swings at each table! Looks like you can reserve a table but if it's open, it's first come first serve. The bartender was very nice and gave us more info about the bar and how to reserve a table. Across the dance floor, they have a Photo Booth -- $5 for two copies, not too bad! The restrooms were cutely decorated with fun flamingo wall paper. We didn't get any fancy cocktails, just a round of shots - tequila and vodka. We didn't stay too long and went on to the next bar!

Came here back in November on a Saturday evening. At that time, there was no cover charge if you went in before 10PM and/or you could reserve your tickets (for free!) ahead of time. Not sure if that's changed. Del Mar has a cool ambiance with a tropical/glow-in-the-dark theme going on with chair swings and the smallest dance floor I have ever encountered. Service was on point. We were playing card games before going onto the dance floor and by the time we finished dancing, the staff had already cleared the table. Cocktail drinks are fun, but not very strong (see pics). Also, FYI, if you plan on getting any of the punch bowls, the staff will ask to hang onto your ID until you return it (no running off with the flamingo, folks!). Overall, a great stop if you're looking for some fun drinks to ogle at and/or a tropical ambiance. I'd recommend going early to grab a seat as seating can be limited (plus to avoid the cover charge).

I'm a fan of tropical themed bars so when my friend and I were in the Marina District for the night, I made her make Del Mar one of our stops. Del Mar has a $5 cover charge on Saturday nights. They have an ATM inside but it's a wise idea to bring cash to avoid the surcharge. We both got the Lava's in the Air cocktail which has Sailor Jerry Rum, Malibu, Strawberry, Pineapple Juice, Coconut Cream and Grand Mariner $15. It tasted pretty nice and sweet. They do have a small dancefloor. We only stayed for less than 20 min, the place was cute but not really the crowd we were looking for.

What a fun place to go for good music, games and drinks! They have rope swings too! Such a cute place to take a group of friends or check out on a date!

Such a cute place for drinks with friends! Came here around 8pm on a Friday night and was pretty empty, which let us explore the different decorations and seats! They play lots of music and is dimly lit, with space to dance near the back! They also had a giant connect 4 and a couple lawn styled chairs for people to sit and talk at. My favorite part (aside from the cute flamingo wallpaper & neon signs) were the swing seats! It was so fun to talk, drink and chill there and there was decent space in between tables which was nice. We got the Mar Mule and the Orange is the New Julius! The mule was great, and I loved the pineapple in it. The orange slushie was a vodka drink and they even had a couple sour patches with it! (They also have a melon tequila slushie, if you prefer tequila!) I've come here a couple times and have enjoyed it each time! For those who like cute bars or have large parties, I definitely recommend coming!

The bar tender was so much fun to talk with, my group that I was with had mixed drinks and had a blast just sitting at the bar. I am not a drinker but the soda was delicious and the bartender never let it go empty. Very fun and it was off the path of tourists so it was perfect!

A Marina classic! I swung by Del Mar on a Sunday afternoon around 4:30pm with two other friends. The bar was empty except for two other people so we proceeded straight to the bar to order our drinks. The bartender was friendly and helped us in deciding on ordering slushie cocktails. as it was also quite warm out. Since it wasn't busy, he was also taking song requests which was super cool. - One in a Melon My friends and I proceeded to sit at the table with swing chairs, which is typically never available to sit in due to popularity so it was cool to spend out time hanging out here. Our drinks were cold, refreshing, and had just enough of a kick to taste it but not be overwhelmed. The atmosphere of the bar is very tropical. The decor and ambiance is very aesthetic and the swings also make for a cool photo opp. In the back of the bar, they also have giant Jenga which is always a ton of fun, especially after a few drinks!

If you are looking for a great time with friends and cool drinks come here! This was such a cool vibe and I would definitely go again! We went after dinner so wasn't hungry just wanted a lil cocktail. It was good but not bomb so I couldn't do 5 stars. But it's still a vibe sad we didn't get to utilize any of their games. Next time! Thankfully we went when there was nobody in there so we had a chance to take all the fun pictures and videos without looking awkward to people. The bartender Michael was super cool, he had great conversation and was an awesome photographer!

My friend reallllly wanted to check out this place and I'm so glad we did, and here's why. #1 This venue is listed as a dance club/bar/lounge however, I would consider it more of a bar/lounge. The dance area is quite small and I feel they trying to maximize that space-- We arrived around 7pm on a Friday and there were giant jenga and connect 4 set up =/ #2 Love the decor. Think tropical. Also IG friendly. But the one standout that really got to me was the flamingos! Not sure if this is a flamingo themed business but there were flamingos in our drinks, as a serving bowl, plastered on the bathroom walls, and even on the bartenders shirt! The flamingo is my spirit animal so this was a huge thumbs up #3 Ryan Reynolds doppelganger is here! #4 kudos to the cool neon light sign nd swinging chairs #5 The drinks a strong and delicious; what more could you ask for! This is a great place to hang with friends to start or end your night

Got to go to Del Mar after a gathering nearby. Although it was near closing on a Sunday (walked in at 4:30/5PM and they were closing at 6, unfortunately), the bar was a great time. Since the bar was not as packed as I know it normally is, the bartender was taking requests for songs and he came through. I was with a few friends and we enjoyed the swings (a rare and fun sight inside the bar). We all had a "One in a Melon" slushie and I got another one. It was good, refreshing and definitely had a good amount of alcohol in it. Loved the tropical theme in the bar and the overall vibe. I can imagine that it must get pretty packed at nights and not on a Sunday lol. However, I will be back with more friends for inexpensive drinks, large Jenga station and a good venue. Expect me back to win Jenga and lose a bet to stay sober

Had a blast dancing here but the drinks aren't very strong. My friend and I came Saturday night around 11 and there was no line to get in. We walked right up and paid our $5 cover to enter. It's a super cute and instagrammable space inside, with floral prints on the walls, a neon pink sign, and plenty of swings for photo ops. At 11, it wasn't that crowded. We went to the bar and couldn't find any menus, so we ordered their melon slushie drink, One in a Melon, cause it was prominently displayed. I got the larger size and my friend got the smaller size. I question how much alcohol is in the drink, because even after finishing my whole drink, I wasn't tipsy at all. I was hoping for at least a little buzz... At around midnight, they started playing top 40s mashups, which are totally my jam, so my friend and I joined the dance floor and had a blast. The dance floor is quite small and there was a constant flow of people walking past it to get to the bathroom, so it took us a while to find a good spot in the corner. After the music started going in more of a hip hop direction, we decided to take a break from all the dancing and chill in the swings. Overall we had a great time here! We saw a couple groups celebrating bachelorettes / birthdays here, so definitely a popular spot to go out in the Marina.

Themed tiki bar with swing seats, a fun flamingo wall papered bathroom, large connect four and Jenga for the tables. Got the One in a Melon frozen drink and it was yummy. After hours there is a section to dance, so it's semi-club but tropical lol. The music is loud for a small space and overall a different type of tiki bar if you're in the mood for games and dancing :)

Bar hopping the Marina and we started HERE. Didn't make it anywhere else after this so technically it was just.. Del Mar on a Saturday night. When me and my friends are petite, low alcohol tolerance people and we start taking SHOTS at 10PM, the night has either just ended or just begun. In the case that we were here, it was the beginning AND end. Let me explain why though... The aesthetics? You need to see it yourself. The music at Del Mar was the type of music we NEEDED to hear. Banger after banger with dope transitions. Ambiance of the place was gorgeous. Beautifully lit, swings for seats, plants, tables and a dance floor... How could we NOT enjoy ourselves? AND the bartenders were fun. Made ordering drinks (and shots) a blast. Crowd we experienced here didn't make us uncomfortable at all either. HUGE WIN IN TODAY'S GENERATION! Kinda obsessed with this place and the location. I promise I'll be back for more dranks at this place!! (And then hopefully be able to bar hop since the Marina just has soooo many spots!!)

Probably one of my favorite night out spots in the Marina if not all of SF. On a Saturday night this place was just the right amount of crowded. The swings and the lighting add a lot to the vibe - we came in a little too late for the card and board games to be out but that would have sealed the deal. Around 10 PM the dance floor also became lively and full. There was pretty good music playing, with some fun throwbacks too. What I most liked about this place is that you can just hangout or turn up too. Just a chill place to be. My only disappointment here was the punch bowl which turned out to be a $150 flamingo bucket of ice with 4 slices of pineapple. Between 4 girls it was not enough. Cocktails are also on the somewhat higher end so I'd recommend coming here toward the end of your night. But one of the must check out bars in SF for sure!

My friend suggested I try this spot out and to tell you the truth, I don't regret going at all. It's a cool spot for couples or friends if you love playing all types of games such as Jenga or Uno, etc.. If you have ADHD like I do, i give this spot 10/10 since i can't just sit still. DRINKS WERE BOMB OK! and they even got dope music had me groovin' as if I was at Coachella. Great interior, Great staff and they even got swings as seats. How unique is that? Check 'em out. Let me just start off by saying that the owner Michael is such a class act. He not only exudes excellent customer service, but he's also extremely humble. Michael contacted me privately right after I left my previous review. He personally apologized, immediately sent me a refund, and invited me to come back for another visit. He didn't have to do any of this. But, the fact that he went out of his way to reach out to me to make things right just instantly earned my respect and trust. It lets me know that he truly cares about his clients and his business. His approach was extremely professional. He didn't ask me to update my review. He didn't blame me for anything or make up an excuse for the situation. He just simply apologized and offered to make things right. And he did so in a private and professional manner, which is just so damn admirable. It made me excited to update my review and to come back again for some drinks. I don't write many bad reviews (you can check my track record), but most of the time they're pretty easy to write. It wasn't easy writing my previous review because I really did enjoy the drinks and the entire tiki vibe here. I'm so excited to come back here with my friends again, and extremely grateful that Michael reached out. This is my friend's favorite bar, and she's the one who actually referred me here. And now we can come back together and have a fun time sitting in the cabana booths whilst sipping on some exotic drinks! Sending a huge thanks out to the owner Michael for reaching out to me. A really aesthetic bar with good drinks! Such a great place to come & drink w/ friends. My first time here and I really enjoyed it. The bartenders are really sweet & they make bomb drinks. They have tons of games to play such as giant jenga & connect 4, they also have the tabletop versions + card games. Me and my friends enjoyed all of our drinks & they play good music. A plus is that it's in walking distance of other bars too like silver cloud & Westwood

SUPER CUTE BAR! I love the holiday decorations and what I love even more was the music! The music was a perfect combo of new and old music. The drinks were pretty good too. We opted for the mystery shot and when I asked the bartender what it was, he said he didn't even know LOL a true mystery shot indeed.

This is a very fun bar! The owners have clearly gone to great lengths to put together a space that's more than just drinks. There's swings, games and a space to dance. While I was there, I observed bachelorette and birthday groups and everyone was having a great time. I personally had a lot of fun with the swing chairs (such a cool idea!) There was a great selection of tropical drinks. Prices are pretty average for the area. They have these speciality punch bowls that are great for large groups. There's also a robust selection of wines and beer, and bottle service. If you're looking for a unique place to get drinks with friends, I highly recommend checking out Del Mar!

Came to SF for day/night bar hopping and stumbled upon this nice bar. We arrived early 7:00pm on a Saturday and luckily did not have to wait too long to enter. From the moment you walk in, the set up and music is very nice. You got good music playing, TVs playing sports, movies or music videos. Another great feature of this place is the seating, there are swings, good seating at the bar top, booths ETC. Outdoor booths with the same theme are also available. Drinks were expensive but then again what place doesn't have expensive good quality drinks? Drinks are a two purchase minimum if you are paying with card though. I did also notice that large version Jenga was available to play towards the back near the bathroom. All in all this place was great and look forward to coming back.

This is one of my favorite bars in SF! I came here on a Friday night with some friends! As soon as I walked in, I instantly fell in love with the ambience - there's a neon pink sign that welcomes you in, alongside many fun seating options. One standout quality of this bar was the perfect temperature - most bars can get a bit warm and musty, but this bar felt great the entire time. They were also playing bops, which really set a good vibe! They had a wide selection of drinks to choose from & the service was pretty fast. The staff members were very attentive and made sure to clean up the tables periodically. I would definitely recommend checking this place out!

This place has a amazing vibe to it and the bar tender was really nice and have a few drink selection. There is also a variety of games you can play from Jenga to card games. I actually stumble upon this place while searching for bars in SF and I'm glad I did. I would love to come back here again.

TLDR: I'm positive the staff here stole my phone after I forgot to close my tab, despite already having my passport as collateral. They also charge 20% service charge for drinks and try to trick people into tipping more on top of that This place is very shady. They take your ID as collateral when you pay with credit card and I got tipsy and forgot to close my tab when I left so I left my card, passport, and also my phone 5m after I leave I realized I forgot my phone and go back - at this point I didn't even realize I had also forgotten my passport and to pay my tab yet which was about $100. I go around asking the staff if they've seen my phone. They say they haven't seen it. I look around for it for a bit even though I know exactly where I left it. Then I realize I also left my passport and forgot to close my tab. I pay the tab (btw, service charge is ALREADY included - I only had one large format $115 drink and it came out to $149, but they try to trick you and ask you for tip on top by having check boxes for tip options that are 20% 25% or 30%) and immediately after I pay they hand me my phone. This was definitely some mafia shit. Shouldn't be allowed to happen especially since they already had my passport and had no reason to steal my phone Shut this business down

I moved to the Marina earlier this year and I can confidently say that Del Mar is my favorite and the best bar to go to. Everything about Del Mar exceeds my expectations and I can't think of a better place to get some drinks, dance, and have fun. First off, I love the tropical theme. It doesn't feel like most of the other bars in the area- dark, crowded, and nothing special. The swings and plants are cute little touches that really make the place special. Secondly, the drinks here are so yummy and not too expensive! My current favorites include the orange julius slush and and the dirty palmer. I prefer my drinks to taste well over The staff here is also really great and friendly. I wouldn't say I came here too often but the last time I came, the bartender remembered something from our last conversation and I was so surprised! It's really something special when the workers take the time to get to know their customers even when hundreds of people come in and out every week.

Del Mar is just an awesome bar. Super fun vibe, great drinks and awesome bartenders. Attended their Halloween party and had a great time. 5 stars all the way!

One of my absolute FAVORITE bars in the whole city! If you are looking for a taste of the tropics while you listen to the best dj's spin and get your dance on I highly recommend. Staff is 10/10 super helpful and great energy. This review comes from wanting to show my love to one of the small businesses I love to frequent! It's sad to see some of the poor and dishonest reviews on here about lost items, disputing drinks they claim not to have bought etc and blaming staff for something that is truly your own drunk mishap. To all the people who only write bad reviews: drop your ego for two seconds and try and put yourself in others shoes. Let's keep the small businesses ALIVE in SF and support them! Personally this place has been hyped too much. Yes this place is cute & I can guarantee that if you're just looking for a place to take photos and have aesthetically looking drinks.. this is the place. I would also like to add this place is clean which I appreciate since it does get busy. -Drinks were okay tasting, didn't hit me even after having many. -Music could use work. I'm sure DJ is good but that night the songs didn't blend well which ruined the mood :/ **Oh yeah this is common sense but this happened when I came here.. if you don't want your personal items stolen.. take them with you at ALL TIMES or just don't bring 'em. A lady left her new leather jacket unattended and was upset that security didn't see who took it... guess she didn't get the memo that security is not her personal assistant.**

It was my first time coming to this bar & I have to say how comfortable I felt coming into a new space because I was welcomed for who & how I am. The music was hella good, I was ready to show the Bay Area side to my boyfriend but perhaps another time. Highly rec to come here with friends & order the Mar Mule in the Flamingo. (Must try!!) My next fave was the Lava in the Air ( 10 out of 10) Beach please, was delish & refreshing (9 of 10) Orange is the new Julius ( 10 out of 10)

I love Del Mar! I have been going here with friends for years! I always suggest Del Mar to friends for a good night out. My friends loved it per my suggestion so much so that we once went here two days in a row. The drinks are great and usually the music is great too! I definitely recommend Del Mar for a great night. The only addition I would make for that though is that I think it's maybe best to avoid it on holidays like Halloween etc. It gets extremely crowded and it's a bit harder to have fun.

This is your time for friendly bartenders, pretty drinks, & a FUN TIME!! We happened to come on a Thursday night and they hosted an event called Throwback Thursdays where they play old jammers. The bartender made great conversation to us and the drinks were aesthetically pleasing/yummy. It was ~$15 per drink but the Marina area is typically pricey. We even walked to another bar to check the vibes but this was by far the most popping in town so we came back. At one point everyone was making moves on the dance floor and it was overall such a fun experience.

Came here on a Friday before dark. Love the vibe and the drinks! I think the indoor decor is so cute and makes you feel like you're not in SF. Drinks are creative, fun, and good. Only remark is that the drinks are more expensive. Still a great place to grab drinks with friends! Would love to go during the night!

Pretty cute place, definitely go for the vibes. The drinks are good but I think you pay more so for the aesthetic of them than the actual alcohol as they were very sweet. The service was good but I would recommend to make a reservation as they get pretty busy. The whole place is very instagrammable but if you're not looking to drop at least $30 on 2 drinks then I would go somewhere else. I ordered the beach please and a shot of tequila. The beach please was cute and had a good flavor but not very strong. I would probably come back once in a while to celebrate a birthday but other than that, I would opt to hit up a local bar instead.

They are well-versed in the menu options and are more than happy to recommend drinks based on individual preferences. Overall a 10/10!

The drinks and ambiance are really good, and usually I consider the music to be the best of any bar in the city - but I think they recently got a new DJ or something and the music has gone kinda downhill. Hope they return to form!

Easily one of my favorite places in SF!! Beautiful ambience, staff was pretty friendly and the DJ killed it!! Special section just for the DJ - he knew what he was doing! Beautiful transitions, great ear for good music and basically exceeded expectations for me. I don't drink so the music pretty much drives the experience in a club/bar for me and he played some amazing songs! Definitely going to come back here more often. Can't personally review drinks but all my friends loved what they ordered!

After watching cute TikTok videos of Del Mar, I decided to celebrate my 29th birthday here with a small group of friends. I really wanted to love this place! Unfortunately, one of the bartenders was extremely arrogant with me. I politely asked if they could hold my birthday present (a medium sized bag) behind the bar area because all tables were taken and I didn't want to lose it in the midst of the crowd. However, the bartender answered in an extremely rude demeanor "WE DON'T DO THAT HERE" and proceeded to mug me. A simple no would've sufficed! I was willing to endure the mediocre music but poor customer service to people who are contributing to your business is ridiculous! This place has zero diversity and the staff seems to cater to only one specific group of people. If you are a person of color or anyone who's culturally competent do not go here! Cute concept, awful staff.

$5 cover charge. The only upside to this place is it's aesthetic decor but the place is way too crowded to even take photos. I got a drink that was served in a shallow martini glass. When I walked away from the bar half the drink spilled on the floor. The DJ that night did not blend the music right. I've also walked by it telling my friends the place is over hyped after that night and even from outside hearing the DJ fail

$5 cover and they have curtains at the entrance set up so you can't tell the vibe/crowd for that night. Idk if it was an off night, but the music was wack and the curtain set up turned me off the place. The 1-star is specifically for the bartender that poured me their mystery shot. It tasted like he scammed me and just poured a random unmarked bottle of juice into a shot glass and not liquor, but I recognize that's my fault for taking a chance on "mystery". So don't make my mistake and get scammed out of a shot! I might give it another go, but meh.

Thank you Del Mar for the above-and-beyond experience last week! Had a great time at the bar celebrating my best friend's engagement, and forgot my card. I called the next day, and they graciously offered to mail it to me so I wouldn't be inconvenienced. It arrived a few days later with this cute note. They're awesome, definitely give them a visit if you're in the Marina!!
