11/29/25 Great food I had nachos and fries. My friends had drinks and the soup well presented and reportedly delicious the straws were rediculously addictive. We had a great time with the kiddos. Price was doable and service was status quo. Enjoy for a quick meal with friends and family.

It was empty when we walked in, which was concerning, but it was a weekday. Nobody spoke much English, and there was confusion on the orders. But they did get my order correct eventually, and I appreciated the attempt to speak beyond pointing at menu items. Regardless, the service was good (minus the lazy bus boy) and the food was delicious, I learned some new things about authentic Mexican dishes, and would come back if I'm ever in the area again. Go check it out!

This spot is really good, the food was amazing and so flavourful. The drinks were strong and taste so good.

The absolute best! I came in after picking up for DoorDash and realized how fresh, clean, and welcoming the restaurant was and decided to sit for a drink — I was not disappointed!! Amazing drinks and delicious food! I ordered tacos and wings and was more than satisfied this is really a hidden gem! Miguel provided the best hospitality and was excellent in his service! I will return ! I am so happy to have found this place. It is beautiful! Cleanliness is very well maintained, the bar literally sparkles and the floors, tables and chairs are also very clean. Food is delicious! 🙏🏾

I didn’t feel like a stranger. I felt seen, embraced, and truly cared for. My Airbnb host recommended Del Rey, and I’m so glad he did. I second his recommendation with all my heart. 05/11/2025 was my first time visiting here. Food and drinks was delicious 🤤, clean atmosphere, friendly bar tender and was not crowded. Definitely will recommend and will come back again when back in Springfield

We had a difficult time finding anything that was open on a Monday afternoon. Luckily Del Rey was and the server was awesome! As the son of the owner, he was able to give great advice on the food and drink menus to us. Wonderful atmosphere, food, margaritas and local beer. The guacamole (which is always my go to) was a little bit sweeter than I expected due to the addition of mango (or so I presume), but was still really good. My spouse got the Al Pastor tacos and thought they were spot on. Overall, a great way to support a local business with good prices and delicious food.

This Mexican food spot is close to Main St and it has lots of seating with nice festive decor inside. The service was fast and great. We ordered the shrimp quesadilla and shrimp fajita burrito. It was very filling and tasty.

Appetizers is delicious. It's a fun place very festive. The burrito is delicious and large. Five stars.

Waitresses seem lack of professional service and didn't care how much customers with the restaurant's Mexican food appreciation. They are very slow and sitting on the seat to chat with coworkers. They left us wait for long mins which isn't professional services. That isn't friendly. Why did they pet peeve of what? Your waitresses need more train to respect and service better for the customers. They served mildly cold asada tacos with tiny amount of onions and cilantro that insults me. I won't eat it till ask waitress for extra onions and cilantro. Waitress seems rush but this place is less crowded. They charged me for extra $2! That is my first terrible experience ever! They are very rude wrongfully and disrespect my support paying this Mexican restaurant. Because I'm Mexican-American from Los Angeles! It insults the traditional of Mexico and Chicano culture. What's wrong with their professional cook's attitude?! Outside curb sidewalk of the restaurant weren't shovel snow and icy off. Full of snow and icy on curb sidewalk. Did you know Springfield law if anyone slip to fall and sue you for trouble not caring customers's safety? I didn't report it. This bad reviews goes your restaurant. Show more respectful to Downtown Springfield. Please do not make Mexican culture and restaurant look bad in Downtown Springfield. Again, I'm Mexican-American aka Chicano! I believe this restaurant needs improve better but I love Mexican food. DO BETTER, thank you!!

I ate here 11 months ago and gave an excellent review.... But today the service and food was horrible. Don't order online they cannot get it right and when you call they are even worse!!! My order was supposed to be grilled chicken quesadilla but I got shredded chicken quesadilla which is salty and disgusting! I call and talk with two people who just could not understand that my order was wrong... they just kept trying to place a new order. Will not order again! Beware!

Drinks are fine, bartenders nice but security is kind of crazy?? Online says it's open until 2am but we started to get very aggressively pushed out over half an hour before closing even after letting them know we were just waiting for a ride. Super weird energy :/ Didnt even have any drinks in front of us, just trying to wait inside to avoid the rain.

Great service from the moment we walked In.! Food was delicious! Bacon shrimp tacos and Fajita Burrito with fresh guacamole for an appetizer, so so good!

This time it was low crowd, easy to get in & same results (this time I had a word with the manager & he gave me information on pretty much as I got in the prior visit). Now I did a steak dinner with tortillas, water & sauces but it was good enough I didn't need the sauce.

First and last time ordering from this restaurant. Never order delivery!!! Cold, dry, steak bits mixed in with fresh cilantro. Putting this place on the list of places that no longer give a darn about customers who order delivery. If you want to take your chances with this place, I suggest you dine in

Yummy drinks, friendly server, delicious food, but disappointed they don't serve free chips & salsa. It's honestly not a big deal, but even though their food is tastier I'd actually choose On The Border over here for the simple reason that they serve endless chips & salsa. Margaritas are the same both places, but here they don't have frozen margs, very sad. Price is fair for the better quality of food you get here. Restaurant is a little tight on space, my family of 6 waited awhile for a table.

Wanted to have a good night but Del Rays service was horrible! First I can say that it's a cute little Mexican joint that serves food and drinks. Upon entering the staff did not greet us nor were they friendly! We were seated and waited about 15 minutes just to get a cup of water. We let that slide. After a few more minutes the waitress Rosaura I believe her name was took our order she was very dry and just starred at us. We waited another 15 or 20 minutes for our drinks mind you the place was empty. The service got worse and worse by the minute just saying I will never go again! Please train your staff! Be hospitable and welcoming to your customers. Del Ray you can do better.

Terrible! The food the drinks both were bad. The staff was nice and that's about it. I don't know how you mess up a margarita...over and over again. I had about 4, and absolutely did not feel a thing. Did they replace the tequila w water? Food was bland for Mexican food. I would not recommend.

Do not try to stay after 1:30am. Although their hours state that they are open until 2am they will hound you every 5 minutes to leave the building.

After an initial misunderstand with the menu and my selection, the food they brought me was superb. They wanted to charge extra for pinto beans in their taco salad. I especially liked the two house salsas that were brought to the table. Sadly there is an extra charge for tortilla chips. Good decor and friendly service.

I had good food service the couple times I have came but I had one issue and the manager was rude.

It's nice to see a bar and restaurant back where Naismith's was located... it was a beautiful bar back in the day, and it looks very similar to how it used to. A garage door will pull up in the summer, which is more of what downtown needs. We got the chorizo tacos (3 for $12 bucks-2 orders) and 4 speciality drinks off the menu. Our bill was $82.66. The best Mexican food in Springfield is the food truck El Charro, but this place was reallllly good. watch for the up charges though. If you want pico, sour cream, or even some cheese on your tacos, they up charge for all of it. If you want to make your Mojito mango flavored, they'll up charge for the flavor. Kind of high bill for a lunch, but good food nonetheless.

We were in Springfield for Red Sox Winter Weekend and stumbled across this gem on Saturday night. The service was great- we sat at the bar and the bartender was fantastic. The food was delish- and they have home made hot sauce-bonus!! If you want some great food and a good time- this is your place.

Service was good. Portions were small for the price and the Marquita was weak. Pretty but week. The decorations and the restaurant was pleasant.

Came here on a Sunday for lunch and ate at the bar. The service was prompt and professional. The food was great and seemed to be prepared using fresh ingredients. Had the jalapeño poppers for an app., they were delicious! For the main dish I ordered the steak a la Mexicana, came out cooked to perfection and very flavorful! I would recommend del Rey and will be back!

Had a great meal here Saturday night. The food was very tasty, cute restaurant, gigantic delicious micheladas. The waitstaff was very attentive. My only complaint is they should give you a small bowl of some nacho chips and salsa. This is something that does not cost them much money and is standard at other Mexican restaurants.

Came to this bar a couple of times with my husband and alone- the food was great, they had great music and also touch tunes, Tanesha was our server a couple of times- at the bar and the tables- and she was always amazing! She was always very friendly, informative and fast, even on a busy day she never messed up our order- and this place gets busy! Never was one to leave a review (I always just tell the management how my experience was) but I saw a review here on tanesha and it seemed very exaggerated and aggressive I just wanted to clear her name, just seemed fair- servers seem to get a bad rep when someone's having a bad day.

I tried three different types of tacos and they were all terrible. No flavor in any of the meat. I asked for hot sauces to try to help and both of them tasted like water. Also the air conditioner was not on and it was stifling. I would sweat for good food but this was not it.

Just checked this place out over the weekend for lunch and dinner ordered the asada steak and my friend had the steak street tacos with Margaritas Guava and Coconut. The food and huge drinks were great and prices were reasonable. The next day for dinner told my boyfriend about this place he ordered the tres reyes 3 different meats with rice and beans and tortillas and i ordered the pineapple avocado burger, burger was huge Can barely finish it my boyfriend had left overs.. i made fajitas with his left overs... food very flavorful, def come back!

Outstanding food and drink. I get the Toxica Margarita and it's strong. The appetizer carnitas tostada makes a meal for me. $6.50. Total bill with tip was $22.00. Great service and they do tableside guacamole. Nice atmosphere. Clean and friendly. No chips was kind of unusual.

Pork quesadilla was delicious! Good guacamole, rice, and beans to accompany it. Service was quick and friendly. Don't sleep on the passionfruit mojito... incredibly refreshing!

I'm usually very level headed when it comes to eating out, I understand that serving isn't the easiest job in the world. With that being said my server Tanesha, was definitely the worst I've ever had. Tanesha didn't write down our order, and she also didn't remember it. She had to come to the table to ask again what we got, we asked for chips and queso instead she brought us nacho's. She said she "couldn't take it back" so she left it with us then proceeded to charge us for it. When we told her we didn't order that so we're not paying for it she said "well you ate it sooo???" I did ask to speak with the manger who was very professional and understanding and took the nachos off the bill. Tanesha then came back to collect our payment which was cash and took it upon herself to keep the change and receipt from the transaction. I also witnessed her appear to take a picture of us then go back to her friends show them the screen and laugh with them. I definitely will not be back. Thank you to the manager who helped us out, to the servers learn customer service and professionalism.

Absolutely amazing food! Everything we had was authentic and delicious. The guacamole made fresh at your table is amazing. The decor is nice and it is very clean. Well run establishment. Cant wait to go back.

The place is beautiful. The service was great. The food was amazing. Can't wait to go back for dessert. I think one thing they should add should be elotes.

Centrally located in downtown Springfield, with ample parking in the area. The ambiance is good, modern Mexican style with no tackiness. I'm conflicted about the service. The maitre de was our server and she seemed a bit clueless about their offerings and not invested enough to ask another staff member. Our drinks, appetizers, and main course were all served at the same time. That was a bit of a turn off especially since they didn't bother to ask. The loaded nachos were bland and some of the worse I've ever had. I did enjoy my main course of soft shrimp tacos with bacon. For a Mexican restaurant the tequila cocktails were ok. I ordered the coconut margarita on the rocks and could barely taste the alcohol, maybe because it was loaded with ice. We were there on a Saturday at 1:00pm and the first patrons. That being said you would think the service and food would of been much better. It's ok if you're in the area but I prefer Frontera Grill.

I ate here twice and the food is decent. The server was nice and was able to take our order and have the food out fast. During my visits there were not many people there but it could be because the business is fairly new: no complaints

food was nasty, taste like water! no flavor! service was slow and terrible. and it was very non busy. we waited for sour cream for 20 min straight and water and it was a slow day! we order nachos and the lady brought us some chips and she couldn't tell the difference bettween nachos with cheese and bland chips! she kept calling the orange soda "santa" it was really bad i don't recommend
