"Del Sur Artisan Eats mixes the flavors of Argentina with Italy in its dishes. Start with the grilled game sausage or lamb empanada before the main course of linguini alla vongole or smoked pork butt sautéed with guava sauce and a side of polenta." - Eater Staff

Best kind of beach food - Argentinian! Started with a beautiful glass of Malbec and the lamb empanada - both bursting with flavor. Enjoyed the braised short ribs and champagne risotto. I am still dreaming about the risotto. Just perfect. Husband loved his braised lamb shank. Finished our meal with dulce de leche cheesecake which was a touch heavy but still devoured. Service was prompt and kind. Can’t wait to come back and eat bowls of the champagne risotto.

This place is amazing. Wood fired oven was sizzling with many meat cuts as we walked in. Everything was on point… a must try.

Dined here on May 29 for dinner. Interior atmosphere very basic, no charm, temp was too cold, and hallway to restrooms and the restrooms were dirty. Decided to move table outside for better temp but then had to deal with flies. Expected flavorful & quality food but was disappointed. Started with arugula salad which was fine except for small portion. Followed that with Lamb Shank but sent it back as the exterior was tough/hard and a relatively minimal amount of meat. Wife had Braised Short Ribs which was basically shredded pork lacking flavor. Both risotto bases also flavorless. Although the staff were young and could benefit from proper service training, they were eager to please and friendly. Conversations with staff (Kyle & Barrett) were the highlight of the experience.

Always a wonderful meal, place to go when we want a good meal without cooking it ourselves! Filet & Lamb was absolute perfection tonight.

Google
Had a wonderful experience! It started with the warm treatment we received from Maui at the front door. Such a positive and pleasant way to start our evening. While we waited we ordered a bottle of wine from Chad and he started taking care of us before we even got to our table! The food was delicious, and the portions were very generous. I highly recommend that you try this restaurant.

Google
By far, the best Salmon I've ever eaten! It was drizzled with Balsamic Glaze! My wife ate the Mahi with Cilantro Citrus Chimichurri Sauce. We both ate the Roasted Veggies and they were great as well! Highly recommended!! We had already eaten some before we thought to take these pics lol.

My husband had been wanting to come here for a while. We finally made it. Service was excellent. The food was very good. The appetizer was the Polentina (I am probably saying it wrong). It was hot, gooey, and served in a skillet. I had the Short Rib & Prosecco Risotto. Husband had the Filet Mignon & Mushroom Rissotto. Drinks: Old Fashioned (with dinner) and Coffee (after dinner). The wait staff was wonderful with the service. They make you feel welcomed. Date: 4/8/23, around 7ish. Reservation? Recommended, but seat for two at the door was okay. Breezy day, but worth it. The place was full. Price: Bring your heavy duty wallet. If you plan on being cheap, go elsewhere. The food and drinks are worth it in this place. Recommend? Absolutely! Between the service and the food offerings, you will be satiated and delighted. Portions are pretty good.

Google
Great place to stop in St. Simons if you want upscale food. Service was excellent, made you feel like part of the family. Food was superb, however portion size was a little small for the price in my opinion. For example, the menu said the salmon came with asparagus but when the plate came out it was literally one stalk of asparagus cut in half... the bacon wrapped scallops were the best I've had. Excellent!

Yelp
We used to frequent their Miami restaurant and missed it dearly. When planning our road trip, I remembered that they are in St Simons. So I planned a few days on the island since we've never been there before. The restaurant is cute, clean and in the perfect corner location. They have a few parking spots reserved for the restaurant, but plan on street parking or at the pier lot. We went in mid-week after easily reserving on OpenTable. We were so excited to enjoy our favorite dishes and were not disappointed! New to us was the Burrata Sampler which we ordered in lieu of our favorite Polenta. They only offer the polenta seasonally, and it was not currently available. The sampler was nice and we inhaled it all with a bit of olive oil and balsamic. You can never go wrong with Burrata. We also shared a Beef Empanada, yum. Next up, our entrees. We ordered the Short Rib over Risotto and the Pear & Gorgonzola Sachetti. Both as delicious as we remembered! Though a bit more fig with the sachetti would have been great. We shared both dishes and cleaned both plates. We rarely finish all our food but we did this time. For dessert, we had the Tres Leche Cheesecake. Different than before, but still delicious. We returned the next day to try different items on the menu. Though, I would have been happy with my originals again. We started with the Provoleta. Nice, cheesy deliciousness. Entrees were Chicken Marsala and the Filet Mignon. The Marsala was really good, served with linguini. The filet was different than I'm used to, not as tender but the flavor was good. I asked for medium rare and it was more medium so maybe that was it. It was served over mashed potatoes. Dessert was a very creamy and delish Key Lime Pie. Service was great both times. Friendly and professional. Can't wait for our travels to take us back to the area again. Hopefully when they have Polenta and perhaps some Pumpkin Ravioli as well! Until Next Time!

Yelp
Butternut Squash Soup: 8.5/10 Lamb Shank: 9.5/10 This cute, small spot at the top of the pier area on St Simons Island is perfect for gathering with family, date night, or even a solo outing. The staff is kind and gives off a welcoming family vibe. I started with the Butternut Squash Soup which sounds so simple, but it was diner perfectly. The portion was amazing & the soup with thick and tasty!! I ordered the Lamb Shank as an entree, which was definitely a hefty meal. The thick risotto paired well with the tender & flavorful lamb. It's a large portion that's definitely shareable for 2 or enough for some leftovers! I took a few bites from the steaks my family ordered and those were delicioussss and that would definitely be my order next time! ‍‍ If you're in the Brunswick/SSI area and are looking for a nicer date night or a place to gather for dinner, I highly recommend Del Sur! *I knocked it down a star because the inside has an extremely strong smell of pork and it was very overwhelming for me*

Lake L.

Yelp
Del Sur has been killing it lately. We are locals and started going here about 5 years ago, then took a break and just recently started going back. The menu is really great, no matter if I'm in the mood for a steak with chimichurri, pasta, or seafood, everything is so good. Highly recommend the Short Rib Risotto for a first timer, or the Skirt Steak with Arugula Salad if you're watching carbs. Lamb Empanada with the red chimichurri sauce is a great appetizer, as is the Burrata Trio. If you're wanting some shrimp, I had the Shrimp Risotto last week (has crumbled bacon, too) and the sauce/broth it was served in was heavenly. I haven't had the $49 Beef Rib featured on Triple D yet, but sometime I'm going to splurge and go for it!

Philip B.

Yelp
Excellent empanadas. Short rib risotto was very good. Sat at the bar, very friendly staff- will definitely be back.

Debra S.

Yelp
We called a head and made a reservation. Online and requested standard seating so we were sat inside. When arriving at our time we were seated right away. Parking is on the street at the pier so it can be full on busy nights. They do have a nice outdoor seating area for nice nights. The restaurant smells so good you can smell the wood fire right when you walk inside. The decor was very nice with wine bottles lining the shelves. We ordered the bolognese and skirt steak. Both were excellent and had plenty leftover for lunch tomorrow,

Dawn W.

Yelp
We were thoroughly impressed with our food; especially the skirt steak! We were prepared for it to be a little bit chewy because that's just the nature of a skirt steak, but it was so incredibly tender and outrageously delicious! My husband chose the vegetable medley, which was also unbelievably delicious and the chimichurri was also tasty. I ordered the pear Gorgonzola sachets (listed on the menu as ravioli, but that supplier is no longer available). I will say that while the dough tasted and felt fresh, the sauce was very creamy, and you can definitely taste the pear, I really didn't taste Gorgonzola at all. I mentioned that to the server, and she recommended to the chef that maybe it could use some sprinkled over the top of them. Overall, we were very impressed with service and food, and would definitely go back.

Claire S.

Yelp
This was our second visit to Del Sur, and it did not disappoint! The skirt-steak is a must order!! Cooked to perfection and so flavorful. I also really enjoyed the side of arugula salad. We ordered a slice of Key Lime Pie for dessert, and it was so yummy! The lime zest and sugar crumble on top was a nice touch. We will be back again when we visit the area next year!

D R.

Yelp
This place was exceptional! The food was excellent and the service was great! It's got a great vibe as well! The smell of the smoke from the hot coals cooking the food was out of this world!

Karley M.

Yelp
Great spot for a more upscale meal or to take visitors while on the island. They offer reservations which is nice during peak hours. Ambience is laid back with coastal vibes. Staff was friendly and prompt. The menu had a lot to offer for both land and sea food lovers. My husband loved his skirt steak and my shrimp empanada was amazing. Cesar salad was fine. Overall great establishment if you're looking for a nicer meal out with a different vibe than the typical beach seafood spots.

Annabel W.

Yelp
Although reservations are suggested in this casual restaurant, we did not make any because we were coming in quite late at 9 PM. Glad they were able to see me and my husband. This Eatery is a combination of Italian an Argentinian fare. Very delicious and fresh that's for sure! For starters, my husband and I split the beef empanada. I have the shrimp linguine with homemade marinara sauce. My husband had the beef short ribs with risotto and a side of grilled vegetables. Sorry I forgot to take a picture of the beef short ribs. I took a nibble, and it was delicious! Matter fact, all of it was delicious! Service was friendly and quick. We will definitely go back when we are in town again.

Hari L.

Yelp
Excellent fine dining place in St. Simons! My first time coming but the atmosphere is welcoming and elegant from when you first walk in to the waiter explaining the menu. I had the scallops for an appetizer and they were cooked to perfection, tasting fresh and easy to chew. We also had the Argentinian sausage that tasted fantastic with the chorizo! For the main entree me and a friend had the braised short ribs and chicken Marsala. The braised short ribs are well known here for good reason, they were fantastic in the rich taste of the meat, but the risotto was a bit lackluster. The chicken Marsala was very juicy as well and easy to chew. Overall, I will definitely come again and try another item!

Jason H.

Yelp
Wow! I'm kicking myself for waiting to go. EVERYTHING was fantastic. This is definitely one of the top restaurants on. the island.

Andrew S.

Yelp
Ambiance and decor were spot on. Definitely had a European feel to it. The service was great and the ice cold peroni was priced right and delicious. I had the flank steak. Cooked perfectly to medium and had great flavor. Was a little chewy and thicker than I am used to but the Chimichurri was amazing and bridged any gap of the chewiness with flavor. Grilled veggies were also cooked perfectly and seasoned well.

PJ C.

Yelp
In town visiting relatives on our way back north and they picked out this spot for dinner. Glad we had a reservation because the place was busy on a Sunday night. Actually the toughest part was finding somewhere to park. The service was attentive and got us our drinks quickly. We started with a sampler of three empanadas - beef, shrimp and squash. All three were very tasty though my fave was the beef. For my main I got the grilled shrimp over butternut squash risotto which was very good. My wife got the grilled salmon and she liked it a lot. The others enjoyed their meals including the bolognese. The prices were fair considering the zip code.

Linda K.

Yelp
Burnt food, poor service and cold fries. Go somewhere else! Disappointing and overpriced

Santino C.

Yelp
Fantastic empanadas in the Argentine tradition. They are handmade at Del Sur from the finest ingredients.

Steve M.

Yelp
Made a reservation for outside but because of the weather it was moved indoors which was fine with the group. Ordered a bottle of fine which was good. The empanadas for an appetizer were excellent. For dinner I had the ravioli special which was good. Should have ordered a steak but didn't. The rest of my party had steaks and they were all excellent. Service was spot on and the place wasn't that crowded for a Monday night. Definitely would come back if I was in town again.

Hailey L.

Yelp
Everything was top notch here-- the atmosphere, service, and good grief the food! This was some of the best food I've had in months. I really enjoyed how every dish a different person brought to the table was fawned over by staff. The skirt steak and alfredo pasta was some of the best I've ever had. I will 100% eat here every time we come back.

Rachael D.

Yelp
We made a reservation at Del Sur expecting it to be your typical tourist eatery and we could not have been more wrong. This restaurant blew us away. The service was fantastic and the food was absolutely delicious. We ordered the skirt steak with roasted vegetables and short ribs over risotto and they were so good. We could not stop talking about how flavorful the food was! Highly recommend making a reservation here! You will not be disappointed!

Sharon S.

Yelp
food was fabulous, as was the service. the wine was very well priced. can't wait to return!

Carrie H.

Yelp
The place we stayed at for our vaca recommends this place. They said Del Sur was their favorite restaurant for dinner. We agreed after our meal. Everything we ordered was delectable, and we even loved it so much that we ordered more food the next night to eat with our leftovers. We appreciated the cuisine combo of Argentina and Italy. I've never seen it before. We really took advantage of it and mixed the two cuisines all night. There were five of us, and we started our meal with a bottle of Argentina Malbec, and one friend got a glass of Josh Chardonnay. For our appetizers, we ordered the shrimp empanadas, Argentina sausage, provolenta, cheese in oil with sauce, tomatoes and onions, and a side of linguini with pesto sauce. We added the pasta after I asked our very kind server about the sauce options for the side of linguini. We are every little bite of our apps and barely had room for our main courses, but it was all so good we still are some of them. Everyone loved their meal but took the food home and knew we would enjoy it just as much the next day. One of the girls chose the skirt steak with a side of Bolognese, which was the least favorite of the pasta from the evening. The vegetarian in our group ordered the butternut squash ravioli with butter sage sauce. One friend devoured the spare ribs with mushroom risotto. My other friend decided upon the chicken marsala. I ordered, in my opinion, the best meal of the evening, which was the grilled Mahi Mahi with a side of linguini in Alfredo sauce. Everyone loved it so much that the next day we ordered two Caesar salads and three sides of the linguini with Alfredo sauce to go with our other levels. Since we were so full, we ordered our desserts to go. They had creme brulee, and that is three of our favorites desserts. It was orange-flavored, and I liked it, but the other two could have done without it, but I still enjoyed it. We also got the Kailua chocolate cake which was very moist and enjoyable.

Stan G.

Yelp
The location, people, servers and staff are amazing! My go to is the skirt steak! Love it

James E.

Yelp
Always great...always friendly...best lamb empanada's, staff and owners... If you are on St. Simons Island, you are missing out if you don't have the skirt steak....its been my go since the day they opened.

Karen J Kamps K.

Yelp
You have got to order the Scallops wrapped in bacon as an appetizer, they are sooo good! We set at the bar because it is a good idea to make reservations. The bartender was very kind and excellant at suggesting cocktails. Try their version of a lemoncello you won't be disappointed! The atomsphere is casual to a resort dress, but shorts and a nice shirt for the guys and a nice Summer dress for the ladies. We will definetly make reservations next time vacationing in Saint Simon island for Del Sur. A+++++

Melinda P.

Yelp
Great food! Great service! Small dining experience perfect for our party of nine for my parents 60th anniversary.

Joe L.

Yelp
I have lived on St. Simons for almost 30 years. Last night I had probably the second worst meal I have ever had at a restaurant here on the island. We were part of a larger party and we decided to get there early as parking is extremely difficult in that area particularly on the weekend. we got there approximately 20 minutes early. We figured we have a drink before the rest of our party arrived. Our party ended up being a little late. We sat there for over 25 minutes without having anybody come by to take a drink order. Finally, I had to walk to the bar to order a drink and at the same time my wife motioned at the headwaiter numerous times for him to come over, and initially she was ignored. Finally, he came over to take her drink. It was not busy at all half the tables were empty. I ordered the shrimp with the risotto. There were about five or six shrimp, which were the smallest shrimp I have ever received in an island meal. We are known for our wonderful George shrimp here, and they are caught fresh. These appeared to be Asian shrimp, which were overcooked and almost hard to identify they were so small. There risotto was disgusting. Overcooked and soaked in so much oil I could not even eat it. I had to go home afterwards and make a sandwich. I would've sent it back but we were with people that I did not know very well and it would've been embarrassing to my wife which would've of course made my life hell.

B V.

Yelp
Great food . Great service. Highly recommend We generally eat outside as we bring our dog. They bring his water first!

Karla S.

Yelp
The food here was amazing! The shrimp empanada had just the right amount of spice and was crispy on the outside with yummy-news on the inside. The service was fantastic--we had appetizers, entrees, and a dessert in under an hour. And the hibiscus margarita was delicious!

Mike S.

Yelp
The good: Service, decor, location, honored reservation, food came out in a timely fashion The ugly: Food was just ok (see below), value for the cost, ran out of special/no none menu options. The host and wait staff were great and did the best. The problem we ran into here was that most of the food wasn't great and didn't match the cost associated. The dishes were prepared correctly, they just could have been better and lacked reason as to why they weren't. Provolone app: made no sense and was hard to cut. This could have been much better with a higher quality picante prov. Beef empanada: this was solid but didn't blow us away Mahi-mahi: best thing we ordered but put over a potato mash that was pedestrian at best. It could have elevated this dish Parpadelle: past very good, bolognese sauce was way too sweet. Definitely not Italian. Shrimp butternut squash risotto: prob the most disappointing dish. For $27 you get 5 small shrimp, almost no butternut squash, very little bacon. This dish left me feeling ripped off. We were going to order dessert but girl next to us got the crème brûlée and said it wasn't very good. An overall disappointing experience not because of service but the high cost underwhelming cuisine.

Annie S.

Yelp
Came last night with 2 other families. Lovely restaurant situated in a quaint & lively town with multiple restaurants walking distance. Restaurant itself is cozy with a side corner seating our party of 10. Laced with shelves of various wine bottles on the wall. We were not only greeted but served by the chef and owner himself who's Uber friendly and knowledgeable. They were able to create cocktails that wasn't even listed on menu.

Sara J.

Yelp
I am in love with this place! My boyfriend and I sat outside and the weather way lovely. The service was great and we were greeted at the entrance by the owner who made us feel very comfortable. The food was great and the empanadas are a must (the shrimp was a bit "fishy" tasting to me however)! The pancetta wrapped filet was great!!

Mark D.

Yelp
My first time patronizing Del Sur was in the midst of the Great Covid-19/Coronavirus pandemic lockdown of 2020. Consequently, I was unable to enjoy the full dining room experience, since they were forced to limit their offerings to curbside take out only due to state and federal mandates restricting public gatherings. I ordered the skirt steak with chimichuri sauce and asked to substitute salad in place of the usual steak fries (#keepingitketo), which the owner eagerly obliged. As an added bonus, he also had an assortment of wines available at a 50% discount. What an awesome gesture during the current hardship! I was delighted to add a bottle of 2016 Proemio Argentinian Cabernet Sauvignon to my order. How was the meal? Absolutely delicious! The steak was expertly prepared to my medium-rare expectations; it could not have been more perfect. The salad portion was a bit skimpy, but this is easily forgivable. Who gives a f%#^* if the salad is small when the steak is both generously proportioned and perfectly executed, especially during a national pandemic panic?!? Also, the wine was the perfect accompaniment for this delightful cut of beef. Hats off to Del Sur! I can't wait to go back, and hopefully during normal times so I can enjoy the full fine-in experience.

Dori R.

Yelp
This was our first time in Saint Simons Island which is really beautiful. So I am definitely a ribeye steak connoisseur and I ordered it at this restaurant, yet was pretty disappointed. The flavor was great but the steak was very chewy. I reluctantly had to send it back for something else. I recommend the chicken marsala or the pumpkin ravioli. I would definitely return to this restaurant. The service was great but I would have to pass on the steaks as the waitress mentioned that even the skirt steak is also chewy. I hope my review helps. Bon appetite!

Steven G.

Yelp
Absolutely do not waste your time! Horrible service. We will never be back. Horrible wait staff!

Ceilia S.

Yelp
Excellent food, service and ambiance. Appreciate the variety that it brings to island dining.

Caroline B.

Yelp
Get the empanadas for sure! This was a nice change up from the 84 oysters we ate! The risotto dish was very tastey

Thea B.

Yelp
Ordered the chicken Marsala and shrimp risotto and Caesar salad. The salad was sneaky good. Shrimp risotto was excellent. And the Marsala was delish! Thanks!

Gustavo S.

Yelp
Our Family was lucky to get to eat at Del Sur while in St. Simons Island, GA and WOW!!! We are a foodie family and this restaurant was amazing. First of all, Chef Hernan knows what's up when it comes to food, especially steak and the empanadas (Gimme more)!! Being that he is from Argentina, I had no doubt to just follow his lead and experience his cuisine. It was awesome to see my son, eat and enjoy his skirt steak (his first real steak). The service helped compliment all the food and experience. If your coming to St. Simons, do yourself a favor and book a reservation ASAP your will not regret it.

Blake C.

Yelp
Food - 3/5 Drinks - 3/5 Service - 3/5 Price - 2/5 Parking - 2/5 Ambiance- 3/5 The menu reads super interesting, and has some potential for sure. We got the short rib over risotto and the filet also over risotto. Everything we cooked well but severely under seasoned. Server was timely with drinks and meal pace but not super knowledgeable on the wine list or menu recommendations. Parking downtown is a challenge but manageable.

Drew G.

Yelp
We really enjoyed this place. We had reservations for 7 and it was really a great experience. We had a picky group of eaters from age 10 to 48 and there was something to make everyone happy. Great menu and great food. It is centrally located on the corner in the village. The ambience and atmosphere was great. The service was excellent. I had the Pancetta wrapped Scallops and Risotto and it was fantastic! Another favorite at our table was the marinated skirt steak but they were inconsistent. My son's was thin and long and my daughter's was short and thick. Very different but probably the same weight. I will return here.

Paul P.

Yelp
I just wanted to thank Del Sur for raising the bar for cuisine on the island. I grew up here and visit often. The atmosphere and quality of food itself has been the best I've had the pleasure to experience on the island. Christine, our server was wonderful . We'll be back again and again. Keep it up and thank you

sarah h.

Yelp
We have tried Del Sur a few times and it has been hit or miss regarding staff. We gave it another try last week and we were so delighted by one of the team members we encountered named Jules who is from Argentina. She was so welcoming and such a pleasure to speak with. She is truly an asset Del Sur and we will be back just because of her. This place truly found a jewel with addition of Jules to their staff. Felicidades!!!!

Naziya N.

Yelp
When visiting SSI, I definitely did not anticipate dining at an Argentinian Italian restaurant. However, after passing Del Sur a few times over the course of a few days, we were intrigued, especially because two of my travel mates just so happen to be both Argentinian and Italian. We made a reservation for an early evening dinner and were seated promptly upon our arrival. There's ample parking onsite or nearby but it can get pretty hectic. We started off by ordering a bottle of wine for the table: Piattelli (an Argentinian Malbec) which was so delicious! We also ordered a few appetizers: beef empanada, lamb empanada, and provoleta. I have no pictures of them because we scarfed them down so quickly. I highly recommend the lamb empanada and provoleta as both were seasoned and prepared to perfection! For my entree, I ordered the skirt steak with chimichurri sauce (among the best I have ever had) and a side of roasted vegetables. This entire meal definitely paired beautifully with our wine. As a notorious sweet tooth, I could not leave without dessert. We ordered the key lime pie, vanilla creme brûlée, and, of course, the Dulce de Leche Cheesecake. You honestly cannot go wrong with dessert here. I am honestly not a big fan of citrus-based desserts and the key lime pie was very impressive! The cheesecake was, by far, my favorite. It was not overly sweet and was sooo creamy. Highly recommend visiting Del Sur if you are in the Saint Simons area!

Angel H.

Yelp
We had the pleasure of lunch @ Del Sur Bwk location near #sghs and just like the #stsimons location it was #amazing. The pesto grilled cheese had a creamy tomato side soup for dipping and not only was it mouthwatering perfectly grilled but plated like artwork. Their avocado creamy chicken salad was gourmet too! Definitely quick eats and 5 star. My companion at lunch says best sandwich ever had! I thought we both ordered well. Like to try their steak sandwich with grilled onions. The desserts are top notch too. His wife's #theorganizedbaker makes the best cakes on st Simon's .Kaluha chocolate and sold by the slice here but while at #uncledons #nopictures #yummy #angelsellsstsimons #realtorlife #southeastgeorgiahealthcare

Korrey B.

Yelp
They definitely earned the five stars. I believe to earn five stars, the service and food together has to be great! We arrived with a group of six and no reservation, the hostess was super pleasant and still offered us the option to sit inside or outside. We were seated expeditiously, greeted immediately, and offered a choice between sparkling and still water. Our waiter Ian was very pleasant and knowledgeable and I'm not the easiest to please as I eat out a lot. I ordered the beef short rib empanada as an appetizer, it came with a sauce. Not 100% certain on what the sauce was or made with but it paired well with the empanada! It was tender and flavorful. For my entree I ordered the lamb shank, I asked a plethora of questions on its preparation, and Ian answered all my questions with ease and was pleasant doing it. The lamb was a great size, the proportion was perfect, the lamb laid on a bed of mashed potatoes. I will be returning

Karen D.

Yelp
We had an absolutely amazing dinner. We have tried to get in here but our schedule would not let us. We were so excited to finally to stop in for dinner. We were so delirious in our meal choices. The waiter Alex was so helpful with his suggestions on what to order he did an awesome job. The lamb and diced beef Empanadas were homemade, fresh and delicious. We also tried the grilled Argentinian sausage also homemade with Chimichurri sauce it was delicious. I had the Pancetta wrapped scallops with butternut squash risotto. My husband had the Ribeye and the linguine with bolognese sauce. He said the meat was the perfect temperature and seasoned to perfection and had extra Merlot salt on the side dor an added burst of flavor. The pasta was cooked well and the tomato based sauce great and he loved that it had a bit of wine for flavor. We shared the dulce de Leche cheesecake for dessert. It was so soft and creamy and not overly sweet it was the perfect balance. We can't wait to go back to eat here. I wish our schedule would have let us go sooner. This will definitely be the first place we come to the next time we are in the area. Don't miss out stopping in for a meal or even some appetizers like the empanadas.

Pholip L.

Yelp
Absolutely do not waste Your time and money. Went to dinner at Del Sur on 3/16/22 ordered Rib Eye Med. Rare is was served grey, well done. My sausage appetizer was served cold the dipping sauce was very good. My wife sent the soup back. We are not people who complain, we just do not go back, this was such. rip off, was compelled to write this review. Total tourist trap and not good for anyone. Philip G. St. Simons

Devin V.

Yelp
Incredibly painfully slow service. Waited 15 minutes for a greet. We had a table of 8, and they just kept refilling our bread baskets. That was the best of the service we got. Wine were generous pours in red wine glasses, the wine was a bit warm. After we ordered it took nearly an hour to get our appetizers. The empanadas were incredible! Just wish it hadn't taken so long to get them. I had the shrimp pasta, which was bland. Huge portion of course, the shrimp were overcooked and the sauce was comparable to canned sauce at the grocery. All in all it was a 2.5- 3 hour meal which felt entirely too long. I'm not sure if they're understaffed or what the issue was, but it really affected our experience.

Yelp
Much like Argentina this restaurant doesn't know what it wants to be either, and it's too proud to pick something. Is it Italian? South American? Or is it a tourist trap disguised as a fine eatery? The atmosphere was dull and lacked what most might find in a 5 star rated Italian restaurant. For starters, above the wine case they had tacky graphic decor that read, "Life is short eat dessert first." And "It's Wine O'clock." To put the tacky cherry on top they had a flat screen TV with The Three Stooges playing. The food looked finer than it tasted. I've had trout that bore more flavor that this salmon. Don't get me wrong if you're here for the drinks this restaurant has plenty of "fine" wine, and you'll probably need to crack open a $116 bottle of it and be a little drunk before any of the food begins to taste like it ought to. If you've made it this far I commend you. I usually don't get too serious in my reviews but what actually bothered me most with Del Sur was that the waiter never acknowledged my spouse. He only looked at me when providing the special or when taking our order. He never offered my spouse more to drink, or asked how the food was tasting; only me. It was rude and quite embarrassing for both of us.

Yelp
Food was off the charts (although I never received my side item). Our part got a mixture of dishes mostly ribeye. But they were all off the charts. The flavor was phenomenal, the ambiance and service were great. We were running a little (way) late for our reservation and they held our table and served us like nothing even happened. I highly recommend Del Sur. The Argentinian beef is out of this world. And the appetizers are even better.
