Love This Restaurant! We stopped at this restaurant last night (8/2023) for dinner. Pros: Good food and drinks. Great customer service. Server was very nice & attentive. I would definitely go back to this restaurant. Cons: Did not really like the ceiling decor; looks like a carpet on the ceiling. Lastly I would go back to this restaurant. The cocktails are great.

I have mixed feelings about this place. I was really looking forward to it. We came for lunch. Food was average. I ordered the choripan sandwich. One small chorizo cut in half for such a big sandwich. I asked if I could order an extra chorizo on the side and was told no. We also ordered the Bife de chorizo a la Provenzal, asked for the steak medium, it arrived rare. They did take it back and cook it some more but then it was overcooked. They did take the sandwich off the bill. Service was good. The food was not.

A very nice restaurant with Uruguayan cuisine dishes mainly. This is mainly an Uruguayan 🇺🇾 restaurant and they also have some dishes and drinks 🍸 from other Latin American countries. Excellent food quality and prices. The place is busy on weekends. Totally recommend it. Literally any dish is worth trying. They have nice grill dishes too.

I arrived at the restaurant with anticipation, only to be greeted by a disheartening sight. Despite the posted opening time of 5:00 PM, I arrived at 5:30 pm to find the restaurant's signage boldly proclaimed "closed." However, my hopes were momentarily revived when I noticed the door was ajar and a table inside was occupied by a group of people. It was a baffling scene - I couldn't discern whether they were staff members engaged in a meeting or actual patrons enjoying their meal. To make matters worse, there was a conspicuous absence of anyone who appeared to be a restaurant employee. No hostess, no servers, no sign of life. It was an incredibly disorganized and unprofessional sight, leaving me feeling frustrated and abandoned. The prospect of experiencing the restaurant's offerings, which I had eagerly anticipated, was abruptly shattered. ***************************************************** I recently revisited the restaurant, and I'm pleased to say that my second experience was a complete turnaround from the initial one. From the moment I walked through the door, I was impressed by the improvement in service. One of the waiters promptly approached me, and I was seated without any delay. For the appetizer, I decided to try their empanadas, which was tasteless and room temperature cold. I perfer it to be warm and toasty, so I might skip them on my next visit. However, my disappointment was short-lived because the main course, their Chuletas de Cerdo, was an absolute homerun. The two grilled pork chops were cooked to perfection, and the combination with the sliced pineapples elevated the dish to another level. The pork was tender and flavorful, and the slight tanginess of the pineapples complemented it beautifully. It was a delightful and satisfying dish that I thoroughly enjoyed. This second visit has restored my faith in the restaurant. The excellent service and the outstanding Chuletas de Cerdo have convinced me to give it another chance. I'm looking forward to returning and exploring more of their menu, and I'm confident that this restaurant is on the right track to providing a consistently enjoyable dining experience.

Amazingly pretty, well decorated, and tasty food! Like wow! I think this is my favorite South American restaurant in the US so far. 😋 If the place is not pretty and clean I cant really enjoy food even if it is delicious. But this place is mind-blowing. I truly enjoyed being there. It has beautiful pictures, nice statuettes, and a cheerful atmosphere. I also liked their bathroom. Even though it was tiny, it was clean, smelled good, and pretty as well!

A lovely setting to enjoy some very good food. I tried their signature sandwich, the Chivito al Pan ($22), which comes with fries. Steak, ham, bacon, egg, mozzarella, red bell peppers, onions, olives, and lettuce and tomato all piled up and absolutely delicious. Currently not open for lunch every day. Close to the Phillips and Dupont Circle Metro.

Great food and service. I also liked the decor. We had two appetizers and a main between the two of us and it was plenty of food. We ordered the octopus and the garlic shrimp for appetizers and the pork chops for the main. I'm giving it 4 stars because we thought the shrimp was average. It needed more garlic and pepper flakes. Also, the shrimp was on the over cooked side. The other two dishes were excellent.
