Yelp
Located in the midst of Del Sur/4SR/RB off Paseo Del Sur & Camino Del Sur (they could use some creativity/variety in naming these streets), this fairly new outdoor retail center houses a mix of practical and indulging retailers. I pretty much only go here for Target, as I hate crowds with a passion and this Target is the least crowded of them all (about a tenth of the crowd of Poway or Mira Mesa), as well as being the cleanest.
Del Sur Town Center has Sprouts, and while I shop at Trader Joe's, it's nice that there's a healthy grocery store chain here. There's a mix of restaurants such as Board and Brew (sandwiches), Burger Lounge, Chick-Fil-A, Ototo Sushi, Piacere Mio (Italian), Sababa Kitchen (Mediterranean), Way Point Public (Gastropub) and probably some others that I've missed. Gor Gai Thai Eatery just recently opened, so I'm excited to try a new thai place close to home (although their average rating is only 3.5 stars on Yelp).
For dessert & beverages they have Choice Juicery, Frost Gelato & Starbucks.
Curbar is here to get your mani pedis. Pigtails And Crewcuts will keep your kiddos looking clean cut while Del Sur Ranch Dental will keep your family's teeth clean.
You can work off your meals by going to Orangetheory Fitness and there's also The Bike Shop to rent, buy or maintain your bikes and Just Run for your running shoes. I'm sure hubby will check it out (although those stores tend to be overpriced, so he'll probably stick to buying his Nike shoes at Kohl's or online).
Overall, this is a welcome addition to the neighborhood. It's very clean with plenty of parking. Hubby's motto is "Build and they will come". So true. I like that we live close by that it's easy to get to, yet it's still far enough away.
This center is also still new enough that it isn't all crazy crowded/congested with a lot of traffic, so enjoy it while it lasts. They're building lots of homes in the area (overbuilding, in my opinion, as they seem to not have learned anything about the last economic/real estate market crash/correction), so this will become a high traffic haven in the future.
But for now, I'm a fan. They have family activities here (but they're not as big or has as much as Del Mar Highlands Town Center on El Camino Real). Their Facebook page appears to be updated pretty frequently too, advertising events and retailers in the center.
