Del Taco

I usually enjoy eating from here, but I haven’t ate from here in so long until last night. I always get the same thing. A loaded nacho and a steak burrito. The steak burrito was not what I usually ordered. All that was on there was big pieces of steak and that’s it. As for the nachos go, I couldn’t believe it. It looked like somebody literally poured salt all over the tortillas. When I bit into it, my mouth started burning and it tasted extremely salty. I couldn’t even eat my nachos and as you can see from the picture below it looks like they might’ve poured the end of the bag out to make my loaded nachos. I’m traumatized they won’t be going here again.

It's now July 5, 2025, approximately 2:33 pm. I stopped in for a cool drink (purchased by my friend) and bought a chocolate shake instead. It was surprisingly delicious. Better than best. I will be back to purchase another. A 5 star review...service was phenomenal with a smile. Thumbs up Dearborn Heights, Michigan Dell Taco. Thanks for excellent service. Satisfied customer..Racine G.

I took out my chicken, queso burrito out the wrapper to warm it up from last night. Why was there a gum from one of the workers wrapping up the burritos? Today’s date is March 26, 2025. I brought this last night on March 25 2025 at 11 PM.

A quick bite to eat from this establishment never disappoints. I got a loaded steak nacho burrito with a large fry and a cookie batter smoothie, and a strawberry smoothie. It was all absolutely refreshing. And also freshly made

Anytime after midnight stay far away quality and accuracy go down to almost zero. Being the only sober car in line while working then graveyard shift myself I didn't know my first bite of lunch was going to be a long haired burrito. Second was a rancid chicken burrito that was instantly thrown away as it tasted like someone had accidentally mixed it with sewer water. Thank gods the other food was semi edible. And to top it off missing items so out of 55.00 only 30.00 of the food was acceptable and edible. Sadly in the road can't just turn around and have it fixed not would I even have an appetite for fixed items.

Today at 2 I went there and ordered food for my daughter's and I, the order was $50 I was confused as to why since I only ordered 3 meals... after paying and looking at my receipt I realized the cashier over charged me for an extra meal, I just told her not to worry I will keep it. I specifically asked for my burrito to not have Pico and switch the fries for rice, after getting my order took one bite and it was WRONG! By the time I realized it I was already back on the freeway. Needless to say I was annoyed because I was already overcharged now my order was wrong. I was going to throw it away but I had to come back to this side of the town by 7 so I kept it and pulled back up to the window The Hong lady said let me see if they can make another one, of course my thought is either make it or give me my money back Then a man came to the window, guessing he was the manager.. Here's where everything changes... he gave me a genuine apology, assured me my order will be made the correct way and that it will be fresh. As promised he delivered, my order was made correct and it was fresh. The taste was good since this isn't the first time my order was wrong I would strongly suggest you check your order before you leave but it was really nice to know that he was apologetic and the willingness to make it right would have ne order again.. In addition he also gave me 2 orders of FRESH churro

I came through the drive thru about midnight on Tuesday night. The ppl working were so professional n so friendly, my food was hot n amazing. I will definitely come back here, the night shift employees have good energy n polite to the customers, the Taylor location ain't got nothing on u guys, keep up the great work. See ya soon cuz this is definitely one of my late night spots!

Order a normal taco meal and food sucked taste gross .my 18yr ordered a burger and didn't care for it quality was way off compared to the one we normally go to in riverview. We go to food often, food is amazing .

This is the place to get a Taco if you prefer to actually get some cheese on them. Unlike that other taco place, they don't skimp on the cheese. The service was pretty good too. I usually go through the drive thru and it goes pretty good. Didn't wait to long and they didn't mess up the order. Thanks for that. Robert US Army

Many items to choose from the menu. The smaller tacos are very tasty and at a great price! Not a lot of parking though lots of other establishments in the same complex.

If I'm being honest, I not the biggest fan of Del Taco. I've tried quite a few things from there and nothing ever screams "amazing" to me. But at the same time, this is a fast food place so I shouldn't expect amazing. First, I'm not a big fan of their grilled chicken. It's way too peppery and tastes like rubber. Since I don't like the chicken, I don't get the chicken quesadilla anymore, I get the spicy jack quesadilla. This quesadilla is very basic, just tortilla and pepperjack cheese. I've had the spicy jack quesadilla quite a few times from different locations and this location for some reason always gives you the least amount of cheese. I swear, half the quesadilla always ends up being cheese less. The cheese dip is good though! It's a spicy cheese and instead of a nacho cheese it's more of like a spicy queso. I always dip the cheese in my spicy jack quesadilla. Overall, you came here expect anything amazing from fast food. Del Taco is okay in my opinion, but it's definitely not my first choice.

Who doesn't love Del Taco? Especially when you get some quick service during the business lunch rush and a decent meal! I come in here more often than I should while I'm working, but I love Del Taco's creative menu of not only getting some great tacos or quesadillas but you also get fries too. Most days are pretty good with the order I get, but sometimes I get some pretty sloppy tacos that are falling apart. Nonetheless, this is a great Del Taco to get some great Mexican food!

The Tamales are authentic Mexican! I highly recommend getting them. No need to drive downtown to purchase tamales when Del Taco has perfected them. Seriously point on tamales with just the right amount of heat too. Excellent work Del Taco! Hurry before they sell out...

I've been waiting in this drive thru line 30 min and have only moved 3 car lengths. There are still 8-10 cars in front of me. This guy shouldn't be able to do this a in a drive thru. I called the store about what's going on and the employee was rude, dismissive, and gave a vague reason . I'm working Door Dash, so I have to stay. This is absurd. Update: the guy whose legs are in the photo, proceeded to put leave his car, walk to the gas station behind us, get an ice cream sandwich, chat with some other cars that were waiting, and do a full stretch session before he had to get into his car to move up ONE spot...

edit: the manager reached out and was very kind, reassured me that the beans are vegan no matter what is ordered and Has fixed the issue and compensated for the mistake. Very helpful and nice! Thank you. So how to I contact corporate? Just left the drive thru got home and see my vegetarian tacos have beans mixed in with the meat but no mention of beans in the description and they weren't like that before... so I'm not sure if this is laziness or what but they are absolutely disgusting.... also they tasted like the beans had pork fat in them which will surely make me sick this evening so I'm VERY upset. Not only does it not fit in my diet but that goes against my ethics.

Even if you ask for no cheese on your burger they put it on anyways. Terrible service. Fire them all..

Great take out service. Friendly cashier and server. It's lunch hour so there was a waiting of 10-15 minutes in the drive thru. Dine in available but we opted for quick lunch of their crunchy tacos. Hubby likes Taco Bell. I disagree because I like DEL taco more.

Much better than Taco Bell. Good tacos, fries and quesadillas when You're in need of a quick meal. However, I would stay away from the new mini quesadillas that they have as they're no longer straight real cheese but a mix of nacho cheese and real cheese.

So after an underwhelming meal last time, the manager reached out and wanted a chance to make it up to me. So I took them up on their offer and they gave me 2 combo meals of my choice. So I decided to do the fish tacos like last time and the grilled chicken tacos, both orders came with fries and drink. I must say this meal was a vast improvement from last time. One thing though, they gave me a beef and bean burrito instead of the chicken tacos by mistake. That wasn't a big deal though cause I actually low-key wanted a burrito and it was good, but I'm sure someone mistakenly got my tacos. In any case I was very much satisfied with my meal and their willingness to correct their shortcomings.

This del taco is not 24 hours. I get off work around 7am and certain days they don't take orders. It's like they open up when they want. I dunno what's going on but they need to fix this which is why they get 1 star.

Very good! I tried the tacos and a burrito it was delicious I am not sure about the fish taco it didn't have a fish taste, it just tasted like anything, but it was good. The burrito was fantastic!

This eatery serves a giant Diet Coke or Pepsi. I am not sure what they are giving me. Fish taco were very good for fast food. Now for the enchiladas! Very heavy and you will gain about 19 pounds per bite. These enchiladas are tasty but seem to expand in you r belly. I went in as Skinny Minny and walked out as Fat Albert. Hey hey hey! Service is good at drive in. Restaurant could be a little cleaner. Bathrooms need more care.

Food is SOOO much better than Taco Bell and there is a good selection of vegetarian options. My favorite is their tostadas.

At night time there were only 3 cars in the drive thru had to wait 40 minutes to get to the window . The workers are just hanging out inside not working .

I wasn't impressed. The food was expensive ($13 for 2 of us). It tasted sub-par. The girl taking our order didn't know exactly how to ring us up, so that was annoying. They serve French fries with their meals.. Not sure how I feel about that... For about $3 more, I could have gotten a delicious meal at Pancho's including the tip. I'll skip this place next time.

Very good Taco's. How cool this chain sells old style taco's on corn torts at taco truck prices. I just found this place and been back a dozen times. Very cheap prices and better than Taco Bell I say. packing the hangry customers in. We already got great coupon in the mail. BOGO on a fantastic Authentic Taco platter each comes with traditional street style Tacos one each Pollo and Carne Asada that be Chicken and Steak for you Gringos. Also fluffy Rice and mixed Charro Bean's both very delicious. Oh yeah a nice bag of Tortilla Chips n dip too. She had a 7 layered Burrito and pair of Double Cheeseburger had a coupon 2 fer 5 bucks

Being a huge taco bell fan , we wanted to try their competitor Del taco. we were in Michigan and came acrossd this. We ordered a lot of items .I dont remember them all but here are few that we tried. Grilled Chicken taco - 3/5 Chicken Al carbon taco - 4/5 Habanero crispy chicken taco 4/5 Epic beyond mex burrito - 3/5 Beyond Avacado taco - 3/5 8 Layer Veggie Burrito -4/5 Taco bell or Del taco ? Del taco surely has better and more options. However,Taco bells' Chalupa and option to have potato as an substitution makes it a winner ! Would I recommend Del taco ? Hell yeah !

Great cheap place to get good food, tho workers are either slow or just serving the cars not you. So it's going to be a long wait. . . . . . . Shrimp tacos are amazinggggg! Wish they were always available. Quick, clean, easy service. Drive thru is pretty fast.

Spent too much money didn't get plasticware for my food and one napkin for nearly $25 worth of food give me a break, this place is gone to hell

Worst tacos I have ever had. These were not only micro tacos but they had no substance to them. Would of had more flavor if I had eaten the napkins that were included. If you have a family that likes to eat, well then don't bother ordering anything from Del Taco. Don't waste ur time and especially your money. Sad sad sad.

Fresh made salsa, light on the cilantro! Pinto beans worth eating, with lots of kick! Fresca Lime Rice! Just a little north of Ford Road and easy to get to, the restaurant has a convenient drive-thru to get your craving on! They serve Cherry Coke, which is my drug of choice!!! Give it a try-you'll forget about running for the border!!!

Typically our food is fresh, hot, and tastes good. I've always had great service in the store and in drive thru. They are one of the few fast food places who don't screw up our order somehow. Prices are more than Taco Bell, but their menu items are fresher. The beans and fries are worth the extra price. I love their chicken, carnitas (when available), veggie burritos, and turkey meat. Their ground beef is fresher, but a little blander than TB in my opinion. Still pretty tasty!

0 stars for the pork tamales no meat nothing bit a big hunk of masa wrapped inside of a corn husk with no pork. Did nott eat this mess

Love this place cheap food and well worth it. I am in love with the mini vanilla shakes there so good. This is one of my favorite places out on the west coast and I'm so glad they have it here now

Probably my favorite taco place besides Jose's tacos love this the beans are so fresh and amazing the rice is flavorful and it's just about as authentic as it's gets for "gringo Tacos"

Added a star because they have the best fast food taco.. it is big, consistent and a decent value... they are killing Taco Bell... which is lacking in quality, their meat tastes more like chili

If I could give it zero, I would. This location was the first in Michigan and wow, what the heck happened? Dirty dining room, pop machine not working right, no ice... I would never come here again. What an absolute nightmare! Management, wake up!

This place is great for fast food Mexican. My California hubby used to come here all the time back home and this is the only place in the area to feed his food cravings for fast food tacos. Now if they would build an El Pollo Loco and an In N Out out here he would be exponentially happier but this manages to soothe him somewhat. He is a spicy chicken burrito guy. It is his top item here. I prefer the crispy fish tacos with the crunchy cabbage, pico and secret sauce all wrapped up in corn tortillas with a wedge of lime, small size but lots of flavor. We also both like the big fat chicken tacos with the ancho chile sauce on pillowy flat bread but not as much. The tacos del carbon are decent but also small and street taco sized, if you get them though ask for some lime and extra cilantro. I've never been with James when he has eaten a burger here but he claims he does and that they are good. I skip the fries and get the chips with pico or guac instead if I am combo-ing but James loves the fries. You also might want to try the crispy fried jalapeno rings with the secret sauce for something different. James likes the steak burritos for breakfast and also recommends the bacon and egg quesadilla with his fave green sauce. James likes the strawberry shakes here but I never get any dessert. The new caramel cheesecake bites are tempting me though. All in all way better than Taco Bell and a nice surprise for fast food.

OK, it's a Taco Bell clone. But I give them credit that they have the very same tacos that Taco Bell has but for 69 cents instead of $1.19. That's awesome! Great way to get your not very authentic Mexican fast food urge killed for way cheap. You can get stuffed for under $5 easily. Just don't bother with the 69 cent quesadilla. Seriously, don't bother.

Fast Food Mexican on the Cheap! I really like this place for a few reasons - l will give one star for each: 1) Food is tasty! I like the cheaper items like 3 Tacos for $1.29 on Tuesdays or three chicken Tacos for $2.49 on Thursday as a start. I then add whatever they have on special like a delicious fish taco for free with purchase of a beverage if you like them on Facebook. I have had their fresh fries, nachos, and 5 layer burrito which were all good. Walk out satisfied for under $5. 2) Food is inexpensive - see point 1 3) Owners care about community and do a lot for several local charities! This is something that Lori the General Manager is passionate about - she lit up when talking to my about a animal shelter charity they were promoting. 4) Place is clean or being cleaned constantly. 5) Free wifi! The only bummers about this place is that there are only blowers in the bathroom to dry your hands and occasionally people camp out in the single bathroom stall for what seems like an eternity. Let's get one near Ann Arbor! Looking forward to some chicken soft tacos as I write this, so I know I will be back!

Nothing against the employees or restaurant but the company needs to get better comms so the employees can hear in the drive thru to make sure the order is right, as well as ask "is cilantro good to be on it" because I have that gene (lots of other people do to) where it makes it taste like soap and I had to waste a 9$ burrito and I didn't know there was gonna be any on it. Please at least confirm if cilantro is good to be on it. Otherwise I do enjoy the restaurant.

So I'm in a love triangle... Kind of like, "The Notebook," I feel one way when I'm in one drive thru and I feel like a different person when I'm in the other drive thru. So that ended up being nothing like, "The Notebook," but there are these two fast food Mexican chains that are in a constant battle for my heart and I just don't know who to choose. My triangle has more tacos and burritos than actual men, but I wouldn't have it any other way :) I absolutely love going for random taco (or burrito) runs at 1 am. It's kind of my thing. Their drive thru is really fast and efficient, honestly my orders have always been spot on perfect, every time. It doesn't matter if there are 20 people in line or if it's just me, they are always on their game. So as much as I love Del Taco, I only love them for their tacos. These are seriously some of the best tacos I've ever had. The shell is good and crunchy and I swear it has some sort of anti-soggy technology because they're still crunchy even after making the trip back home. And they are covered in cheese! When I say covered I mean covered. I'm not talking about just a sprinkle of cheese to garnish up top, these tacos are mostly/only cheese. It's like all the space you'd normally expect to be taken up by lettuce, is all cheese! The lettuce and tomato are there don't get me wrong but you don't even care (well I don't) because of the mountain of cheese that's just so graciously piled on. That may not be some people's thing but it's definitely my thing. They also have no problem serving black beans in place of meat AND! they serve black beans all day and all night long, so there's no rushing to make it time for precious beans :)

The Jumbo Shrimp tacos were everything and thanks to that strawberry milkshake I've shamed my vegan friends. But was it worth it? Yes. I'm impressed I'm kinda at home fantasizing about those platos (mexican platter) now. **GOOGLES: nearest Del Taco** 4.62 miles away??? How am I just now finding out about this location?!?!

Being the only Del Taco in the area, it is always a treat when we are heading north on Telegraph. While it is your standard fast food Mexican type establishment, it is a step up from Taco Bell. The staff has always been friendly and overall the building is clean. They even play "Mexican" music in the background to add to the experience. I know there is a name for the type of music but I just can't recall what it is. I will edit the review as soon as I figure it out.

The new impossible tacos are incredible! Made this vegetarian very happy! This Del Taco wasn't as good as when it first open; the salsa for example wasn't fresh and they made smaller portioning. But they are redeemed if they keep up the quality of the impossible taco

New "Buck and Under" menu! Fast service, ample portions and free wi-fi make this restaurant a great choice for fast food. Eat in or carry out, the drive-thru does a great job of moving the traffic.

Two recent drive-thru visits within the last week. Slow service, distracted employees and overall poor operation.

Dab D. apparently really knows bird shit, because he mentions it 8 out of his 11 other reviews. Obvs a troll, or, maybe his tongue is really just primed for bird shit. Who knows. People who prefer Taco Bell over Del Taco, in my opinion, are people who are usually quite happy licking a salt wheel. There is more fresh prep that Del Taco does in an hour than Taco Bell does all day. I prefer absolutely everything on this menu over taco bell, especially the chicken. It's grilled fresh in house and tastes amazing. You really can't get any fresher than that. The use real cheddar cheese that actually melts rather than the thick cheese shreds used by their competitor, and while the nacho cheese isn't really cheese at either place, Del has the courtesy to flavor it with vegetables rather than have it look and taste like runny salt, or in Dabs case, yellow bird shit. Fast food is fast food, but I think the Del does fast Mexican far better justice than it's closest competitor. Go with chicken anything and you'll be pleased.

Food is what you'd expect for fast food. But if you come to this location for advertised offers--and I mean the offers they advertise directly on their windows (so you know they're a participating location), know you'll still be charged regular price. We ordered the Del Tacos on a Tuesday for the Taco Night price we saw on three of their signs while going thru the drive thru and STILL got charged the regular price. We didn't realize til we got home and saw receipt. We will not visit this location again.

When I read about people complaining that Del Taco or even Taco Bell isnt "authentic Mexican" I always get a laugh. That complaint is like going to any standard Chinese restaurant in America and griping about how that isnt "authentic Chinese food". It isn't supposed to be, it's supposed to be quick serve food that fills your stomach at a fair price. So the only question is did you like the food. Not as compared to good ol Mexican like abuletta(sp) made but was what you just ate tasty enough? That said the food I had at Del Taco was tasty and filled my hunger spot and was open for whatever I wanted at 7am at a fair price. No more/no less.

The best thing about this place is the Freshness!! The Pico de Gallo had fresh red tomatoes, onions, lime and not too much cilantro in it. The chips are made there, and come out warm, which for me is the best way of eating them. The salsa that went with the chips was delicious and not spicy at all. I hate it when I have spicy salsa and I can't feel my tongue. I ordered the fish taco platos, The fish was a small fish filet, deep fried with crispy cabbage and a white sauce pour over it. For me this was tasty. The beans that came with it, I think was the best part of the platter!! It had a nice red sauce poured over it and grated cheese on top. Yes they grate their own cheese too! Like I said everything is fresh and not frozenor bagged from somewhere else. I'm not a big rice eater so I wasn't impressed with the rice, though it had a distinctive taste with the lime in it, as well as some freshly chopped tomatoes. The only thing I would recommend to the business is, if you can, warm up your tortillas on a grill before making the tacos. It will make the taco taste better. The only draw back for me was the dessert. I had the Churro, and for me it was too sweet! It was coated with sugar and cinnamon, and didn't let me taste the churro itself. I didn't eat it all and had to throw half away. If they could just sprinkle the sugar on and not roll the sugar into it it would be better. And lastly, this is a suggestion for the whole corporation running the chain...you might want to think about recycling. I saw so many platos platter (plastic) being thrown into the trash. Too bad you couldn't have a separate bin for all the plastics you use there. I cringe every time I think were that will end up. Everyone likes to recycle....I even do it where I work. I love Del Taco but this location has screwed up my drive-thru order several times. I tried to call and complain but no one answered. Went to send feedback online and the form doesn't work. I'd recommend a pass if your hungry.

Great food!!! Absolutely love the hard shell tacos!!! Had the carnitas loaded fried. Not bad, but the pork was a little dry. Surely isn't going to keep me from coming back.
