Del Taco

I wanted to take a moment to leave a review for Del Taco location #746 in Phoenix. I came into the restaurant to place a to-go order that was a bit complex, with several different taco options and customizations. Despite that, the service I received was excellent. Angel, the host, stood out with his kindness and outstanding customer service. He was patient, helpful, and made the entire ordering process smooth. The rest of the team was just as impressive—friendly, efficient, and quick to get everything right. They prepared my order accurately and much faster than expected. Overall, the staff went above and beyond. They definitely deserve recognition (and a raise!). A+ experience!

I will never come back to this Del taco location! The thing I love most about this restaurant is there crinkle cut fries! I always get a large fry with no salt. Today I came in for a large fry and had to come back and ask them to make me some new fries. My fries were dark like they’ve been cooked too long slightly charged almost burnt. The woman at the window as sweet as she was told me that they needed to change the oil. They knew they needed to change the oil before they opened up today. My fries looked the exact same from the very first bunch they gave me. I don’t like dark fries that look burnt! Food needs to look good as well as taste good and something as simple as fries is not the exception.

Love getting the veggie Beyond Meat plant-based taco options here. Pretty affordable and love the good spiciness 🌶️ to the flavor.

I placed my mobile order at about 3:30 PM. By the time I got to the location to get my food.it was about 5:25 PM. Once I got my food and got home(3min away). my food was COLD and the ice in my drink was mostly melted. I looked at my receipt and it showed that the order was made at 3:48 PM. THATS ALMOST 2HOURS BEFOR I got to the location to "check in". Just before arriving the app would not let me "check in" and that's because THE EMPLOYEES already checked in my order themselves. Now I have COLD FOOD, watered down drink, and I can't leave my house because I have the plumber at my house... I would like to know what is the point of the "CHECK IN" button if your employees are going to just do it themselves... like really what is the point of it.

I do not like to give a bad review over just one visit. Now after a full year and consistently being disappointed. I have decided to do the right thing. The employees here at this location seem untrained and as if they do not want to be there. The drive thru service is the worst. I typically have to return because something went wrong with the order. I truly believe that this Del Taco has a lot of potential and I really want to support it. They just need to step up their service and quality.

Fries were overcooked, mini quesadilla was pretty close to being a grilled tortilla there was so little cheese. The green burrito could have used more green, but was the best part of the visit anyway. I wouldn't call what I experienced "service".

The staff was slim but 'oh boy' were they quick. No holds in the drive through or in the lobby. The chicken tacos were the perfect temp and FRESH AS CAN BE! Portioned out perfectly each taco was made well with even distribution of cheese and chicken! 10 out of 10 would recommend. GOT TACO THURSDAY DEAL AND GOT EACH TACO FOR AROUND 1$. This place is not a usual stop for me. I only had a few extra minutes to eat before my afternoon appointment. This place was on the way so I pulled in thinking I would get a small snack. Not too Many customers in here. There were 3 employees. The main staff person took orders at the desk and take out window. It appeared the other two staffers did not speak English. I got the bean and cheese burrito. Staff asked if I wanted red or green sauce. At first I said green thinking that was the mild one. Turns out the red sauce was mild so I changed to red. Service was quick but I didn't see the sauce. I asked about it and she directed me to the table and said I could find it there. The burrito was small yet sufficient. It was better with red sauce, Not a gourmet meal but it filled me up to keep going. Shared parking and drive through.

Tried Del Taco as an alternative to Taco Bell, Taco Johns and other fast food taco places. Liked their taste as it differed from the others, young server at counter polite and helpful, prompt. Will come again soon.

Unless you want your order messed up every single time you should avoid this location! The managers are very rude and don't care if they mess your food up or not. Better to just throw your money in the trash and drive away!

My order was given away or taken, but they redid it so quickly then I was able to leave within 10 minutes, but unfortunately part of the order was wrong. It's OK not a problem we dealt with it.

Wow - big difference in the ingredients on the tacos purchased here versus others we've had at other franchises. Very little cheese, what tomatoes???? And a little bit of lettuce. The burritos ordered were not edible. The chicken in the one was breaded tenders which were not cooked through - raw and cold. The other with beans and beef was really bad. Beans were like paste and beef was barely warm. Really disappointing.

HORRIBLE customer service, this franchise owner needs to restart everyone and start over. They cancel uber eat orders for no reason, it was twice.

Ordered mini quesadilla and added carne meat and i literally just got a crunchy tortilla in a bag with nothing in it. Then i got the fish tacos meal and made it a large. I never received the tacos, and my order was a small/regular not a large. How do you mess up an order this bad? This place is horrible and seems like no one cares about the messing up or trying to fix it. So out of my order i just got a regular fry and a large lemonade and a random tortilla.

not sure if this is just a taco tues issue, but our expectations were already pretty low. if I'm going to be charged an extra $.70 PER taco for extra cheese, at least make them with the same wed-mon quality. also we neve asked for no lettuce, but here's a pic of our 3 tacos

This is the worst Del Taco I've ever been to. The fries were cold, soggy, and filled a quarter of the way. Anything we added on was missing but of course still charged. Everything was just made poorly, the burritos were just pinto beans no sauce/toppings. The quesadilla was just a joke. I don't know how this location is still open.

Staff is horrible and rude. The lady at the counter was just texting away and not helping customers. The manager didn't know how to do anything it seemed like. When I got my food the fries were old and nasty I asked for fresh ones and were told no that those were fresh, but the manager gave me a large drink for the inconvenience when all I wanted was a fresh fry. She argued with me and said they are fresh I don't see the issue ma'am like really?! Do not get food from here

Slowest establishment I have ever been to literally came inside and took 42 mins to get our food and there were only 2 people in line in front of me !! Then they didn't speak English had to send tacos back 3x at this point we just left. UNBELIEVABLE

At approximately 630 tonight my family and I were eating our food as we watched your employee handle lots of food with no gloves playing on her phone while making food, then once she put gloves on she was taking handfuls of cheese and eating it out of the container, then proceeded to grab fries from under the light and ate many fries out of it and then we watched her take a bite of one and put it back!!! This is unreal and the manager did not seem to care at all, or she didn't understand English? I will never return to this location and I will be sure to tell everyone possible! And we all wonder why we get sick!

Good cheap tacos I usually compare this to Taco Bell but way cheaper 8$ for 8 tacos never had a problem with them idk seems to be pretty consistant

This Del Taco has absolutely the worst service. They "can't" issue refunds after refusing to make food because "the fryer oil isn't hot for 30 minutes" is this not fast food at dinner time? If you do ever actually get any of your proper food here it will come out incredibly poor quality and insanely COLD. Really disappointed

Today my sister and I went inside Del Taco to have lunch on Tatum and Bell were Home Depot Lives, LOL We went inside for the first time and noticed how clean this place was/is. There was one lady that was taking orders efficiently and when she wasn't doing that she was cleaning the dining room area not that it really needs it. I asked her for the managers name (because I wanted to let them know what a great employee that have) and she said she was the manager her name is Ramona. It was very nice to see the manager actually taken the time to clean and wait on customers and not hang out in the back just to give orders.

Fast food is fast food yadda yadda yadda. Nothing life changing, just cheap food to fill me up. Decent though, nothing was gross or unsavory. However, this is a great spot! I really like the interior of this place, for a del Taco it's clean, modern and dare I say... cute. I don't mind eating in here and taking my time, so that's saying something. I also like that they have little baskets of their hot sauces and ketchup at each table so you don't have to get up to get more. The employees are friendly and hard workers. Today it looked like only two people were working and they handled a rush like champs. They were not slacking! We had a big order and everything was accurate and ready in a timely manner. I'll probably be back to check out breakfast or some of their specials, like taco tuesdays and thursdays. Not bad!

Needs a completely new staff, no one listens to what customers order and no fully reads the order screen. While I was there 3 other customers came to counter because missing food or incorrectly made food. Mine was sadly both.

RANCID oil fried Tortilla chips they had to Substitute due to being out of French fries on Taco Tuesday. Chips were so bitter and nasty had to throw the 3 boxes in the trash. I hope a District mgr reads thos and makes them change the o RANCID OIL OUT. The rest of the meal was below Del Taco standards. Not worth the waste of your money. Can't get the rancid oil taste off my tounge!!!

Flavor on the carne asada breakfast burrito was really good. However it was more the size of a taco. my 2 year old coulda eaten the whole thing. Won't work for me.

I havent had the best experiences at this location but its the only one within 15 mi of my house and i rarely come here so i tried again today! This will be my last trip here! I ordered my usual, tostada, grn bean n chs burrito w xtra green sauce, s. Crm and guac.... i was double charged for guac but didnt notice till later, anyway... the iced tea dispenser had a snot like slime oozing from the spout.... i told the lady, who just said "oh" and walked away..... i dont drink soda so i put the cup on the counter and politely said, i wont need this.i waited for a second to see if a refund would be offered as i was not going to ask for one..... nope! I saw her walk to to iced tea dispenser, wipe the nozzle and walk away..... i dont want to know when the last time that thing was cleaned! So i paid $1.60 for an item i never got and could have come away with food poisoning..... so in case you like iced tea......DON'T do it, shell out a few xtra bucks for quality n go next door to chipotle! Ps ..i even freakin spelled my damn name for this lady..K-A-R-I..... I mean i get its a high school kid job but..

I'll get straight to the point. Went through the drive thru and a girl took the order. Came here at night and got #1 only to be told they were out of fries. Got chips and queso as a substitute. My boyfriend ordered his food and got chips and salsa because of the fries. I also ordered the Donut bites only to get back home and find out that THEY WERENT IN THE BAG. Like seriously no fries at first and then not getting the donut bites at all is dumb. It's not that hard to put it in the bag and double check and see if everything is in there. Total came to 20.72 and she didn't give me my receipt. I'll be calling tomorrow this is unacceptable. Not to mention my soft taco tortilla is BURNT. Completely overpowers the rest of it and now I can't finish it.

Closed an hour early and were incredibly disrespectful and rude about it when I asked them (through a closed window) why they closed an hour early. Definitely will go out of business.

Check your reciept and compare to your bank statement. Everytime we go there they charge extra. Example we went there yesterday and the bill was 10.61. Today on our statement is says 25.21. They have done this every time we go there we will only use cash.

Cleanest fast food restaurant in the Phoenix metro area. We have been to this location numerous times and we receive our order in a timely manner. The food is fast food so we do not expect it to be five star, with that said we are fine with the food here, no complaints.

Food is good but the air conditioner is broken or something. The thermometer reads 92 degrees. It's oppressive hot in here. The owners need to fix the damn AC before the employees get sick and die

Well, if you are old enough, you might remember Avis Car Rental's slogan; "We Try Harder" In many ways, that could describe Del Taco. Taco Bell has been trying to improve it's image recently, by updating it's menu items with offerings from "Chef Lorena Garcia's authentic Latin recipe". So you might think they are taking Chipotle seriously. Oh contraire mon frere! I believe they see Del Taco in their rear-view mirror. Over the last couple of years, Del Taco has been upgrading their menu items, too. It's not just a taco place. Besides Mexican inspired food items, they also sell cheeseburger (single, double and triple), shakes, potato poppers, crinkle cut fries, as well as chili fries. So, they are closer to Carl's Jr Green Burrito, than Taco Bell. Another difference, is their reliance on Text Messaging to send you coupons, or specials. Here are some recent examples: "Get a free small fries w/ any Crispy Shrimp Taco or burrito purchase." Or, "It's Taco Tuesday @ Del Taco starts @ 3pm. Get 3 regular tacos for $1.09 3pm till 11pm." Taco Bell is more focused on Facebook to get their message out. How passé. The food at Del Taco is good and seem reasonably priced as compared to any of the other taco or burger boys. They also serve breakfast, which is very good. This location is near The Home Depot. It is clean, friendly enough and the line moves fast. What else could you ask for in a fast food joint? I've posted two Tips which you might want to try. First, use the Microsoft Tag scanner App on your phone to become part of Del Taco's email Club. Second, "Text Club" to 60259 to join Del Taco's text club for food and special offers. So in summary, Del Taco is Three Stars, A-OK

It's Del Taco - I expect dirty, delicious tacos, fries that I'm certain are clogging arteries and cheesecake bites that melt in the mouth. I got exactly what I expected. Store was clean, cashier was friendly and the food was served up quick. It's definitely a step up from Taco Hell. If you go in expecting anything other than the afore mentioned things, you'll be disappointed. If you order something other than tacos from a place called "Del Taco," you'll also be disappointed. Overall: A- The location is a bit off the beaten path of places to go, but it's clean, staff is friendly and sometimes you just want a dirty taco and fries!

I was ordering two strawberry lemonades and was told they were out of strawberries. So then I decided to order two regular lemonades. The person working there said minute maid and I said OK. Then he told me to fuck off and that he was not going to take my order. I'm not quite positive what kind of customer service that is but needless to say we drove right through. I would not go back there. Not to mention I had my child in the car to hear those lovely words.

I've eaten here before and I have ordered the EPIC burrito. Today I received this? Where's the EPIC in this picture? More like an EPIC fail. Come on guys you had one job.. worst thing is order food through the drive thru and getting back to work to this EPIC fail of a burrito.

After we waited over a minute to talk to whomever was behind the drivethru, we ordered five small items over an hour before the store closed. We sat and waited somewhere close to 10 minutes for our food, and the server said "take it" to my girlfriend. The food is close to Luke warm, and when I attempted to confront the man in the store, I was told to go through the drive thru, and was eventually ignored. I also attempted to call the store multiple times, with no one answering. We've had similar experiences the two times prior to tonight. Having worked in fast food, I understand having rough nights, but this disrespectful behavior is just unacceptable. This store either needs a change in management or a new crew. How disappointing.

This was my first time in a fast food restaurant in weeks. I went in to show my solidarity and support for introduction of vegan meals in chains that previously did not have them. I have downloaded the Del taco App and it also gives you a ton of discounts and coupons! the beyond meat tacos tasted just like regular meat tacos! Go Del Taco! Helping reduce environmental and animal consumption! My partner tried the Del taco beyond meat tacos and he said he couldn't taste a difference thank you for introducing the vegan concept to the meat eating animal consuming world.

Ate here and was very disappointed. The tortillas were rock hard, the chicken was cold and had very little sauce. I guess the Christmas decorations still up in mid feb should have tipped me off that they just don't care about running a food restaurant

Definitely the worst Del taco in the US of A I have never had a good meal here. Even the simplest orders like chicken soft tacos/ fish tacos/ chili fries/ bean burrito come out as garbage. It's really bad ! It's also disappointing that there are very limited number of Del tacos around the Phoenix area. Forcing you to go to a terrible location like this.

Horrible! Went to the drive thru hoping for a quick dinner to pick up. When I reached the speaker it took close to five minutes for someone to acknowledge that I was there. When someone did speak, they were very soft spoken and very difficult to hear. Had to ask numerous times for the person to repeat what they said. When I got to the window, the girl asked what my drink order was again. Uh, isn't it on the screen? When I got the food, the fries for one of the combos I requested were missing. I told the girl and she went to get more fries. "You need another large fries" is what she said. A few minutes go by and I'm still waiting. With no one in sight I honked my horn. The girl's head pops up and I reminded her that I was missing fries. She said that the fries had to be made. It would've been nice to know that new fries had to be made. I'm never coming back to this location. And unfortunately the other locations in the area are also getting 2.5 stars or less, so it looks like I might not be eating Del Taco for a long time. I recently moved here from California and the locations there are never this bad. This location does not deserve the one star that I'm forced to give in order for those review to be seen. Corporate needs to revamp their Phoenix locations urgently!

I feel like Del Taco is completely underrated!!! While it's not a 4, there food is some good, solid, fresh and tasy!!!! My favorite is their triple layer nachos for ONLY $1!!!! HOW AWESOME IS THAT!!!!

This place was a nightmare at lunch, with only about four people in line we still had to wait 10 or 12 minutes just to be addressed at the register. And that wasn't to take our order that was to let us know they'd with us in a few minutes. The guy Who took my order didn't know how to use the register, or how to input my order, and nobody was willing to help him. I had to explain three or four times that I wanted a meal, not just the item. Oh when my food did come out, she sat it down called my name and scurried off, I had to wait another minute just ask for sauces. They weren't overly busy they seemed understaffed, but they also seemed pretty incompetent.

Terrible terrible service.pulled up to drive up window and their system was "down". How can i order then? Young minimum wage working non responsible teenager responded "i dont know"....pulled up to the window and he just looked at me like we were crazy and ignored us...we were going to order on the app but it was very evident that we should go away.....he should have said "we have cleaned the restaurant and we want to get out of here"....it was 9:14 pm , i guess they stop serving at that that time....we had to go to arbys next door....since we live here we wont go to this del taco ever again.

I know this is fast food pseudo-Mexican food, on par with Taco Hell, but this place even failed at that. Place wasn't busy, ran through the drive thru for a basic Del burrito combo. Lemonade was watered down and burrito are supposed to rolled up. This burrito looked like they threw some stuff in the middle and folded over the tortilla. At least they gave me my money back.

Don't ask me if I want hot sauce if your not going to put it in the freaking bag....seriously. Also, the burrito looked like it was wrapped by a kindergartner. Only reason I gave 2 stars is because it actually taste alright....without the hot sauce.

This location is complete garbage. It's dirty, the employees dress like homeless people and they ALWAYS get orders wrong. Whether I order on the mobile app and pick up or just go through the drive-thru, things are always missing or incorrect. Because they always make you pull around to the front, they never remember or don't care to include any sauce packets. This last visit, Feb 22, 2022, was the last straw for me. Taco Tuesday, so I thought it might be good to try their new Quesadilla Tacos. Got a crispy chicken and two regular chickens. I wish I had taken pictures...these things were the most pathetic items of food I have ever seen. Even though I waited out front for 10 mins (mobile order) the food looked and tasted like it was made a week ago. The "cheddar cheese and cheese sauce" that was supposed to be between the two tortillas to make the "quesadilla" portion of the taco was non-existent. The other food items, regular menu items, were just awful. I have gotten good food in the past from here, but it's been awhile. Now I have to put up with the filty location and homeless employees for terrible food???...nope. I've deleted the app and won't be returning. Amazing this location is still open. Good luck Del Taco. You need to do better. Oh, and when I went on the app to leave feedback, the only choice that wasn't grayed out was for a food borne illness....so basically corporate only cares if you got sick and are going to sue them and doesn't care about any other feedback.

This location is in an area of town that I don't frequent too often. However, sometimes I get a craving for one of their menu items and I will make the drive to satisfy that craving....which is what I did the other week. This location has to be the worst Dell Taco in the United States. I ordered a nacho and it was wrong. Why? The 15 year olds running the place had the music up so loud they can't hear orders. Then I proceeded to listen to them argue who's fault it was. I literally drove away without my food. This Dell taco needs to be closed. I would have to assume the owner has no idea this is going on.

So disappointed!! The food was disgusting, the employees do not know their products, so asking for an item and given something else instead of trying to understand what the customer is asking for and giving the correct item, I guess is just too hard at 8:00 at night for some people.... Tried calling only to have the fax machine pick up and then the line is busy. I have given this location two chances only to be disappointed again. Never again the food is trash

So I have been going to this Del Taco for many years, over 7, the manager is great and usually have no issues with the workers. But lately I have been going and the service has dropped. Not sure if there's new hires or what's going on. Went tonite the signs says they close at 10pm, it was about 9:30 pm and the drive thru was not working. The lights were off inside and no one and we're or came to the window to say they were closed or anything. This is the second time I have went and had an issue. I went previously and was told they couldn't make my son a burger cause they cleaned the grill. But it was still during business hours!! I know the manager is so sweet and nice I actually speak to her always when I come. I think something needs to be reviewed on what's happening when she's not working.

I've stopped at this location maybe five times this year, and three of those times the staff just doesn't respond at the drive-through window even though they don't close for an hour and a half. At this point it's beyond ridiculous and I just had to come on here and say something about it. Just a few minutes ago I watched two cars plus mine completely back out of the driveway because no one was responding for over 5 minutes. Clearly people inside. I just stayed cause I was stuck in the middle. The guy in front of me laughed and said this happens every time I come here. So it's not just me...?! It's wild lol. If you don't want to work why did you apply?

Excellent customer service. The food is always fresh and bomb. I drive 20 mins for the beyond meat since I'm vegetarian. I love it so much! The workers work hard here I seen it today when I dined in. They even told me to have a good day on the way out. I can't remember the last time I had excellent customer service until I walked into Del Taco today. This location rocks. Thank you! It was delicious and I enjoyed my experience today.

I hear about del taco all the time and how it's raved about in the west coast. Maybe I didn't order the right items my palate would prefer but then again I'm not picky; I love any type of Mexican, Tex mex, southwestern food! I got the crunchy del taco and a epic loaded queso burrito. The taco was nothing special, just a crunchy regular taco with cheese meat tomato lettuce etc. I don't know what I was expecting. The burrito was a hit and miss depending on the bite. One bite would have great flavor and crisp/crunch, next bite was mediocre and flavorless. The burrito definitely was epic...it was huge!! But it was cold. Props to the employee for getting our order right & just a nice person, I always want to point that out in a review no matter what. Next time I'm back in the West, I'll definitely try Del Taco again, but perhaps order something different or maybe it just depends on location. Sometimes we just haven't found love at first bite with the very first things we order. My first "Del Taco" experience wasn't the most epic, like their burritos.

So's, and only my uncle from New Jersey starts a sentence with, "so's". So's, I went to Del Taco one day, one beef taco, so very delicious. $1.50. God, that was good. Beef was flavorful, good and greasy. Lots of cheese. I do not like the hot sauce at Del Taco. At all. It's not flavorful; it's waaaaaaaay too bitter. Spice is ok, flavor not. So's, I go back 2 days later for TWO TACOS and the beef had no flavor. None. A COMPLETE WASTE. So's, I'm not going back. And even if I do, I'll have to bring my own salsa.
