Del Taco

This is my favorite fast-food taco spot. The service was terrible and the cleanliness was sub-par. Looked as if mold was growing in the ceiling tile above the drink dispenser. I know these cost around $5 mil to open.... I'm wondering if the franchise owner knows or is simply recovering the expense without knowing that the business is suffering due to the poor performance of the employees who seem to be bothered by customers ordering food.

Worst service at the drive thru I've seen in 25 years of life. Not to mention the order being essentially 100% wrong and everyone I talked to being as rude as is feasible. I rarely write reviews but if this saves even 1 person from wasting their time and money at this joke of an establishment, I will be happy. Fire your whole staff. Honestly, no, shut the whole location down.

Order 2 chicken del taco and the combo with 2 del taco about half hour ago (9:45ish). The chicken del carbon was all wrong. It had rotten cilantro and lettuce (not suppose to have it lettuce) in a soft shell tortilla. I think it was a soft shell chicken taco that sat for a while and turned into my chicken del carbon. The fries that came with the combo were overcooked and disgusting. Needless to say, after taking a couple bits of the del carbon, I wanted to throw up cause it didn’t taste right. We ending up throwing everything except the 2 del tacos and drink away. Never going there again. Disgusting. And none of the food was hot or even warm. Everything was cold.

We used the drive-thru, and the attendant must have been training. She was having difficulties with the operating system, and I am pretty sure the drive-thru speaker needs to be repaired/replaced, and at the same time, this location could use some TLC. The food was decent. They seemed understaffed when we were there, and everything was fresh(for deltaco) and looked well prepared. Felt skimped on the ingredients for the price. All and all it was an average experience at a fast food place, but the food was still good. They need to invest some money back into the location.

Quick and Cheap. Food was inexpensive and tasted very good! Wait was not bad, and the sauces to come with are very good! All in all. I would highly reccomend Del Taco.

Horrible service in the drive thru. We ended up leaving because the girl on the speaker was just plain rude! After everything my husband said she would cut him off saying "what else." No good customer service whatsoever. He ordered grilled chicken tacos and a few other things after that. Instead of telling him right away that they were out of grilled chicken, she waited until he ordered more stuff to tell him they were out. At that point he was over her attitude so we left.

Pulled up to the drive through to be greeted by someone who was rude and ghetto, then she kept playing like she couldn’t understand what I was saying on the microphone. Finally after taking my order she informed me that they were all out of chicken for grilled chicken tacos. Would be nice to just go grab some food after work and not have any drama or BS from fast food workers with a chip on there shoulder.

You can tell how fresh the food is, but the quality of both the food and the service is wildly inconsistent. I thought the drive thru cashier was about to cuss me out just for ordering, one time. And, I sat at the box for a long time before she even took my order. So, I won't be back there for awhile.

I love Del Taco & it's really great when a location has what I need-great friendly customer service who reads and delivers for my picky eater group! Had a large order with 'no this on that item' & ' no that on this other thing'. Many places do not get it 100% correct but they did here! And their shake machine was working!!!

First ever stop at a Del Taco, I was looking for a quick lunch and this was the winner, it's like a step above Taco Bell with a broader menu with burgers , fries and shakes aside from the Mexican fast food options. I had 2 crunchy taco combo with fries and also tried the tamales. The tacos were about same as Taco Bell , but the pork tamales were the shining star of my lunch, I think they were a limited time item. They were real deal, wrapped and steamed in corn husk with a shredded pork filling , had a great corn flavor and the pork filling was very flavorful, with a little DelTaco hot sauce they were very good. I would return just for the tamales. 3.5 Stars

I used to normally get a coffee and doughnut bites every morning however the option of getting coffee has been removed from the Del Taco app entirely. Then tonight it's 4 am I'm just getting off work and thinking " Hey I can stop at Del Taco and grab something to eat including a strawberry milkshake and funnel cake fries because it's so amazing but I could not order because the associate told me " Sorry my system just went down" @ 4am. Even though there was a white BMW at window who just ordered. However the inside of the restaurant is beautiful and I do recommend Del Taco! Maybe not Cobb Pkwy Del Taco yet.

Went there today for lunch and my sandwich was literally thrown together. More meat and beans on one end of the bred instead of uniform throughout and the guacamole was already browning. Taking this mess back when I get off work

I recommend to not come here late at night !!! This place suck after 10:30 they take there time a make people wait in drive thru for a hour when they close at 3!! I got here at 11:00pm an im still in the drive thru line at 11:43pm this store needs help please get people in this store!! Also I walked in at 11:00pm a the store an I was told I had to go thru drive thru but they inside was still open this store needs new night shift people!! I could do better than them in this store also my change was 15.78$ I only got back 15.75$ need to teach them How to count

Full disclosure, I love Del Taco. Discovered this California inspired, fast food joint during lockdown and haven't looked back at T-Bell. Mexican food shouldn't be expensive and it should always taste fresh & flavorful. Del meets me on both requirements without having to venture very far off Cobb Parkway. The Epic Burrito and crinkle cut fries are a game changer for late night cravings. I ordered mine through the Del Taco app and then picked up inside the restaurant. It was fairly easy despite waiting at the counter for a few minutes before anyone came to help me. The inside was clean and bright and staff looked like they were hard at work with a busy drive thru. For $12 bucks I got an Epic Burrito with guacamole and steak, a Del Taco, a grilled chicken soft taco, and a bean & cheese with red sauce. It was a convenient, budget friendly option for folks looking for some decent fast food eats. Would definitely come back to this location.

If I could give zero stars I would because "One BAD apple, spoils the whole bunch", and the guy at the drive thru today at 1:30 was the absolute worse. He kept over talking me on the mic, then he decided to be sarcastic and leave the lid off of my drink so that it spilled on me, I'm sure, wen I gave it back to him to secure the lid, he told me I could have done it myself, then thru the drink on the ground and said oops u dropped it! I was very upset, asked for a manager and got a refund, these kids have no morals and no respect! I will not be visiting this zoo again!!!! This young man was rude, disrespectful and obnoxious! He needs to be fired immediately!

The customer service here is horrible. Tonight, whoever was working, the window had the worst attitude I've ever experienced in a fast food restaurant I could overhear him getting into an argument with the guy in front of me, and then proceeded to try to get into an argument with me, because he was incompetent at his job. If you don't know how to work a drive-through window don't work at a drive-through restaurant. I watched 4 Cars drive off, five including myself because this person couldn't do their job right I recommended that the owners establishment find new staff immediately or else Place will be open for much longer.

1:55pm and they are locked. 2pm means 2pm right? Long line in drive thru turned me off. Very disappointed.

I should have asked for this lovely mans name but the man who was working the late night shift, you are an absolute doll! There was about a 10-15 minute wait at 4am bc he was making sure i got fresh chicken & he was so sweet and so apologetic, and gave me a free water bottle & churros for waiting. Thank you so much! You made my morning.

I ordered the new Honey Mango taco in a soft shell. What a JOKE!!! Not only did it take approximately 40 minutes to get through the drive through line but just look at what they gave me. *see photos. It's basically a chicken strip with a ton of cilantro piled on top. No honey. No mangos. And it's approximately 3.5 inches long and the width of my thumb.

Came here for lunch because I was very hungry after leaving the Atlanta Braves' Chopfest 2020 at Truist Park. Del Taco restaurants, headquartered in Orange County (Southern California) are all over Southern California, where I'm from, and I wanted something that reminded of SoCal. I think that the food at this location in Smyna tastes a little different. I think it's better than any Taco Bell, though, and prices are reasonable. I ordered the #9 - a Del Beef burrito, taco, fries and drink. The Del Beef burrito tasted good, but didn't seem as spicy as the ones that I was used to. The burrito tasted even better with the hot sauce packets spicing it up. The crinkle fries were also good - just slightly crispy and not highly salted like at Mickey D's. The taco, which was supposed to be crunchy, seemed on the stale side and was not so crunchy. Also, it was supposed to be a beef taco, which it was, but more than half of the filling was grated cheese. The iced tea was also good since no one can screw up iced tea, right? The person behind the cash register was quick and efficient. The employees preparing the food were slow. They have a timer displaying the running time for each order, and customers who order inside at the counter are able to see how long the employees have taken to prepare their order. It took almost 17 minutes for the employees to get my order to the counter. An no, they weren't waiting for the fries to cook, either. They were just ... slow. At least they didn't get my order incorrect. Service at the drive through seemed to be a lot faster. Maybe I should've ordered my food at the drive through to get my food faster and then brought it into the restaurant to eat. This is a standalone restaurant and there are a lot of available parking spaces.

Ok I freaking love Del Taco and moving to Georgia was somewhat better knowing I could get Del Taco regularly. However!!! Half of the time I go they leave stuff out of my order!! It's always something small, like $2 worth of tacos or quesadillas but seeing as it's happened 4 times now that adds up. It is sooo disappointing smelling it the 15 minute drive, getting home, and only to discover I can't find the 2 mini cheese quesadillas I just ordered. HATE!!!

Order food for pick up didn't check in yet an my food is cold and they wouldn't remake both of my nachos n both of my burritos this shit is bad like cmon now I didn't check n yet n my food was already made y'all need help in the inside never ordering here again I would like a refund please

First time visiting Del Taco so I decided to try several different things to get a feel for the menu. I ordered a beyond taco that was pretty runny, not my fave. Next was the vegetarian bean and cheese burrito and the rice was hard, no excitement there. I personally like Taco Bell's cheesy bean and burrito because the bomb spicy chipotle sauce. Lastly the fried jumbo shrimp taco was my favorite. The shrimp were a decent size and was nice and crispy. If I do decide to go back I would definitely order the crispy shrimp taco hands down.

I have been here for two hours and I still have one car in front of me. Just got done with a concert around 11:40 so there's not many choices. I haven't never had such slow service from a "fast" food restaurant, holy s**t. Employees are nice I guess but there is absolutely no excuse for this.

The freshest fast food tacos I've ever had!! The guacamole is made in house. The cheese is freshly shredded daily!! I always receive good service here. No complaints!!

The place is fine - reasonably fast service despite your usual disaffected teenage fast food employees, fresh and hot food with adequate toppings, etc. I just didn't like the taste of the food. Especially the bean burrito. If I had a guess, I'd say it's the seasoning they use for the beans and ground beef. It's very strong and has a pretty overpowering taste. Not spicy. Just...a strange flavor, maybe. Part of the problem may have been that I am very used to Taco Bell, so any other kind of Mexican fast food may not sit well. But I was flat-out starved when I ate here and still didn't come close to finishing my meal. I'd say eat and judge for yourself. I know I used to eat at Del Taco in California when I was a kid and it tasted just fine then.

Ordered to-go 3 times in the last 2 months... got every single order wrong. They were never wrong by adding too much food.. it is always by missing food. Once by as much as 3 items. Tonight it was 2 items. Called, no one picked up. Messaged them via email/app... no reply. Just stop being bad at what you do... please. Just do your job. Count the items on the receipt and make sure it matches what is in the bag... answer the phone... reply to emails. FFS!

Oh Del Taco. It's been many years since the last time I've had a meal at this restaurant. When I lived in La Mesa, California (a suburb east of San Diego), I ate hear at least approximately once a month. Normally due to the coupons that I often received in the mail. This was during 2010-2012. Those tacos and burritos were bussin' Eight years later and I had the urge to visit this restaurant late one Friday evening. The food is good, but not great. I like it better than Taco Bell. Oddly enough, they also serve burgers and fries which I NEVER get at a taco place. Overall, it's OK

I experienced the worst customer service tonight. i was refused service and called dumb and illiterate and was called slurs. that bitch was funky

11/11 Update: Employees of the restaurant was a little lax and unprofessional tonight. Wouldn't allow me to use coupon for my ice coffee, now I've lossed my free drink coupon (that's how iy works on the app)... Disappointed. Got tacos, sub'd beef for blk beans! I loveeeeeeeee Del Taco. There like the Chick fil A of fast food for tacos. I get crunchy tacos, sub meat for beans. I love the little coffee. The $1 is awesome oh and download the app for freebies. Last week I rode right out that drive thru with two free tacos baby

We went thru the drive thru after our event, and at 1130pm, they started getting busier and busier. They did a good job getting everybody thru!! Food was great as always...

Don't waste your time. On any evening or takes at LEAST 30 mins to get through the drive through. I waited 40 minutes for 3 little tacos. They gave me the wrong food and the guy in the back had his mask down around his chin while he worked with the food. Taco Bell across the street is fast, has better food, and they wear their masks.

The employees close the store whenever they want. This is the only place open when I get off work at 3-4am and every single time I've found myself starving after work and in their line I end up waiting for 30 minutes before an employee tells everyone in line "their system is down" and they're closing early. This is not for lack of customers. The line is always wrapped around the building. Either pay your employees more so they have incentive to actually do their jobs until closing time or change your hours. It's getting REAL old.

Stopped by for the 1st time tonight for a quick dinner and to be a fast food chain, they are definitely worth it. Much better than Taco Bell, which I despise. The droce thru service was quick, the crew was nice and, although I didn't stop in, the inside looked to be clean. I got the grilled chicken tacos with hard shell which were good, smaller than the picture, but I guess that's to be expected. My daughter enjoyed the steak and potato burrito as well. One last thing that won me over was the fact that I had a 10 min drive home and my tacos weren't soggy like they would be if I went to Taco Bell.

You guys are the slowest drive through consistently! Been twice and could read a book waiting to get order . Really 20Min burning gas and still haven't made it to sign . Wtf! Is going on with this store

I don't know what it is with this location but the wait times can be horrendous. I went last Saturday night at around 9:30 pm to pick up an order I placed and pre-payed for in the app. Twenty minutes of waiting in my car for a soda and ONE taco. Even when I got to the window it was near 10 minutes for them to make a taco. One. Taco. The girl at the window apologized for the wait but I still don't understand what was taking so long. I would have left long before but I had already paid through the app. This isn't the first time I've had an extraordinary wait at this location.

I've not eaten at a Del Taco before, so when the guys suggested it I expected different. It's a bit like Taco Bell with the infinite combination of protein with veggies but it's a step above in terms of taste and comfort. I also liked the salsa bar, which wasn't quite like a Moe's but it's a nice try. Tables were cleaned regularly and people are expected to bus their own trash. The entrance to the parking lot is strange so that they can accommodate the drive-through. You have to enter from the side street at the right.

Never received food. Can't cancel order and no one answered the phone after calling 15 times.

I stopped by here and ordered shrimp and fish tacos they were just okay shrimp tasted a little old service was quick and the associate was very nice but I probably wouldn't visit again. I like fresh food.

I waited in the drive thru line for no joke over an hour. Horrible service. What is going on

So I walked in and no one said anything. Ok cool let me get my order together. Still nothing. One girl counting her drawer down and walked away with it. Still nothing. No hello, hold on, just a minute. I'm super hungry and needed to jump on the hwy, so that's the only reason I stayed. Finally I order and head to the soda machine. I get Sprite and when I look down there is black stuff in my cup. Poured it out, rinsed the cup and got my sprite. Black stuff again. At this point the nozzles have not been cleaned. The tea machine looks even worse. I had the fried chicken tacos. They were ok, but I probably won't stop here again.

I've been to this location a few times usually it's acceptable food, good but not great. Today it was not only bad but also incorrect. I ordered a Chicken asada burrito to go. I received a beef burrito with a scoop of meat on one end and a scoop of non- flavorful beans. Who makes a burrito like that. A burrito ingredients should be spread across the tortilla and then rolled. You would think a supposed Mexican place would know that. I spent 8.40 for crap when I could have went to Chipotle and received a bigger GREAT tasting burrito for 7.56! Never again!

Ive been here many times with no big issues but today was ridiculous. Arrived to a long line of cars (aprrox 12) ahead of me in drive through. Took literally 1 hour to get food - aint nothing close to fast about that. Banned for a month!

First time here and they're so much better than the Taco Bell joint I visited on last evening in Marietta. They have really good ground beef seasoned well with fresh toppings of lettuce and tomatoes. I skipped the cheese on my tacos but they were still very delicious. The service was fast and friendly and I enjoyed the overall experience. They actually fill the taco shell with food. Sadly, this franchise is not in NOLA; if they were, I'd hit them up weekly. I'd recommend them if you're in the area for fast, friendly and delicious food.

Ever since I first tried this Del Taco, I have been obsessed. Super cheap and WAY better than Taco Bell. I usually get the Number 1 Quick Combo (2 Del Tacos, crinkle-cut fries, and a drink) and 2 mini churros. This location definitely isn't perfect. I've waited in long lines and they've gotten my order wrong but any time they have made a mistake, they make up for it by giving me a coupon. Seriously love this place. :) And I've been to other Del Tacos that messed up my order bad, but this one is consistently good. Thanks for being awesome. (I brag about this place to all of my friends and family.)

Del Taco is so cheap and they do not use artificial ingredients. I like the $1 bean and cheese burrito and the churros. They offer french fries as well which is strange but a lot of people order them. I prefer to get the side of chips and salsa. This location is very clean. The salsa bar is well-kept. The staff is fast and friendly. The only improvement I could offer, which is to corporate not to this individual store, is to redo the signs that show the menu. They are confusing in the way they are organized and it always takes me a while to order.

Service is horrible. Drive thru is a joke. Management is the problem. Close this location and open something that is customer friendly.

Rude service in the drive thru. Also when I order Beyond Burritos.....they have used Steak twice now.

My taco shells were tuff or not fresh. The service was not that great either but that's expected with fast food

I have never had Del Taco and was hesitant to eat fast food that day, but it was great! Way better than Taco Bell and other taco fast food restaurants! The tacos come with plenty of meat and toppings unlike other fast food places. This location was clean and friendly. Would recommend if you want a fast food taco trip!

I met the wife for lunch today and she had heard that this Del Taco had opened and she wanted to try it. It's in a great location by the mall, it's really nice and clean, the service was great, and there was lots of staff on hand. I've had Del Taco only once, and that was in Cali like 10 or 15 years ago, so I didn't really know what to expect. The food was just okay and despite all of the other positives listed above, the food is the most important thing. I ordered a beef and cheese burrito combo with a hard taco and fries, and my wife ordered the Macho Nachos. We both felt that something was missing, but neither of us could put our finger on it. The meat in all three items tasted okay, but it had a very grainy texture. The fries were really good though. I thought it was kind of funny that the best thing I got from Del Taco was French fries... The pricing is decent and the service was really quick despite the long line. If I'm in the area and get really hungry I may try them again, but I don't rank them much higher than a Taco Bell/Burger King combo - okay fast food; nothing special.

This was everything I thought it would be and more. But let me be very clear-this is not road trip or date night food. You will be in the bathroom shortly after eating these tacos and whatever seasoning they use creates hot funk in the mouth. That being said the beef taco was bigger than Taco Bells and had better cheese and the grilled chicken taco definitely surpassed Taco Bells version...and was cheaper I think. Yay! This is "one those nights" types of food places reserved for late nights when you want to fill your belly for the low. I can't wait to try the carne Asada tacos. And get mints and Rolaids for after

I spent $30 on food and got none of my sauces. Waste of money because the food was dry and I didn't have the condiments at home. I always eat my burrito with sour cream and hot sauce. They didn't give me either so I had a nasty dry burrito. Waste of money.

Love love Del Taco out west was so happy to hear there was one in Atlanta. Was NOT disappointed. Friendly staff, even though the young lad did not know what she was doing she asked for help. I had a delicious beer battered fish taco one in soft corn tortilla one in crispy both outstanding.

Every time I go they are slow. It's never been more than about 3 cars in front of me but nevertheless still slow. Last time I went I ended up going in because they didn't give me my shake & come to find out the chicken was dried out. The prices, variety of the menu & location are good. Speed of service not so much.

If you are in this drive thru. I hope you have 30 minutes or more. Due to COVID and it being one of the only places open. You can be only 5 cars back in the drive thru and still wait 30 plus minutes just to place an order. I hope the owners know how much they are not making with the delays. It's this way almost every night. SMH.

My first time at Del Taco. Maybe it was because my expectations were so high or that I hate Taco Bell so much sometimes, but I was disappointed. Taco Bell beats Del Taco I say it sadly, but it's true. The burritos themselves aren't grilled so the bread is very chewy. The burritos are oddly skinny and long like an alien. Most of it was empty and cold like my ex's heart. Staff was friendly and service was fast. Taco Bell isn't going anywhere though smh
