Great longtime restaurant with authentic Italian roots and recipes. I especially appreciate their delicious and easy to order offers for two large slices of normal pizza for a more than fair price. Right across from ODU, and I'll be sure to come often with the start of next semester!

The food is usually good here but today I was very disappointed with their "lunch portion". I reconfirmed with the young lady of what I ordered. Her response was, she just works there & have no control over portion sizes. This looks like a kids meal portion, it did not cover the bottom of the container. The young lady said, the regular portion is slightly more. Del Vecchios, you need to do better! No I did not eat from this container.

Wings were the best I’ve ever had in the pizza was up there with little Caesars… Service was good. Server made frequent enough stops that if we needed anything, we only had to wait a few minutes to get her attention… Atmosphere was not quite civilized but it’s what you would expect from a pizza place.

Picked up a few pizzas today for a great deal! The pies were delicious and warm, I’d highly recommend to anyone in the Hampton Roads area. However, it can be a bit busy at almost any time of day as they seem to be a fairly popular food spot. In any case, the service was fairly swift today and friendly. Definitely go check them out.

Being from the Chicago area gotta say the pizza is really good for being New York style. next time I'm in the area I'm definitely gonna try the deep dish!! Prices are very reasonable as well. Will definitely be back

I visited twice. They were busy, so there was a little wait time to get my orders. The staff were working hard behind the counter. NY Style Stuffed Pizza- Meat was good. It was salty as expected from all the meat it had, which made it heavy in flavor as well as weigh. You will need beverage to wash it down. If you are hungry, this will resolve your craving. It lasted me for few meals. Traditional Deluxe pizza- 14”, added cheddar, ground beef, pepperoni was delicious. It satisfied the late night craving. Garlic knots was amazing, freshly made and soaked in generous amount of butter and garlic. They soaked up the butter garlic sauce so well as well in maintaining a nice crunch exterior.

Ordered a pepperoni pizza for take out and it was delicious the staff was nice the crust was crispy , I’d definitely come back

Del Vecchioos sets the standard for local college town pizza and eats! The aroma of the pizza will drive you to visit this amazing establishment! They offer a variety of amazing pizza, subs and salads. The chicken parm sub sandwich is enough for two people and was very flavorful! Conveniently located next to the ODU campus, they offer food specials and a very friendly environment. The service was quick and I would definitely visit again if I was in downtown Norfolk.

Stopped by with my coworkers. They have great lunch specials. I got the 2 slices with a drink. The service was great and our orders were ready quickly even with the slices being placed in the oven to be warmed up. There was a steady flow of people dining in and customers picking up orders. I got the pepperoni and mushroom slices. Pizza was pretty good, think I'd try the deluxe slices next time.

The NY Stuffed Crust sausage and mushroom pizza here is probably the best pizza in all of Hampton Roads! However, they should rename it for our region, maybe something like Coastal VA Stuffed Crust, and start a new trend!

My favorite local pizza spot since Pizzeria closed a few years back. Consistent NY pizza quality at an affordable price. I had a hiccup with a big order once but it hasn't stopped me from going back many more times after. I prefer calling ahead for the $13 1 topping 18" pizza carry out special. Our go to is garlic and green peppers. Yum!

lovely casual spot for inexpensive but flavorful Italian food. Our waitress was kind and attentive, all of our food was incredibly fresh and well seasoned. we didn't order pizza but as we were leaving I caught a glimpse of them preparing fresh pizza dough in the back which only cemented my positive experience here. I truly enjoyed my visit and will be returning soon to try the pizza.

I absolutely love their pizza. I get the New York style stuffed chicken and ranch pizza, but substitute the ranch for buffalo sauce to make it a buffalo pizza. If you like buffalo pizza, I highly suggest giving me a try. Their mild wings are also very delicious. Always get a some of those when we go there. This most recent time we got the meat lovers New York style stuffed pizza, which was delicious. If you're looking for authentic Italian pizza go here. I can't say I've never eaten inside, I'm always getting it to go so travels very well lol. But the inside reminds me of a business in New York and the staff is very nice. I highly recommend this place.

First time ordered a cheesesteak add pepperoni, they had almost no steak. Where's the meat? Most recent time ordered the same thing, no pepperoni, but still very skimpy meat. I've been ordering from this place for years. They are sub par but I keep ordering because I'm stupid. Just order a pizza, they have trouble doing anything else.

Del Vecchios is a spot right outside ODUs campus. Pizza is solid, as in it's not great or even above average pizza, but it's pizza, it's never going to be bad. Wings here too are pretty good. They do make some extra extra large pizza, so if you want a ton of pizza for a good price, come here!

You definitely get the most bang for your buck here. It's not gourmet pizza, more like college/ny style pizza. I love how you can get it by the slice in case you didn't want a whole pizza. The service is always pretty quick and they're cool people. The ambiance definitely is the college feel. My favorite flavors to get are the sausage and pep and the chicken ranch pizza. Their wings are pretty good, I really liked the garlic Buffalo. It wasn't too spicy and had the right amount of tang. The calamari and the stuffed shells were both okay, but didn't expect it to be amazing. I like how there's 2 sides to the place. One side to get pizza by the slice or if you just wanted to go orders. The other side if you wanted to dine in. I recommend trying it out if you're in the area and you want a simple and good slice of pizza!

We stopped in after the ODU football game and the place was slammed - carryout crazy and luckily we were able to snag a table that had just gotten up! Osh was our server and she was AMAZING! I believe it was her and 1 other server in the dining room area and they were handling the mob of customers like each table was the only table in there. Osh was soooooo friendly, pleasant and attentive and I'm not sure how she managed to give that service to every one of her tables with how busy it was...but she did! To top it off our pizza and bacon/cheese fries were SOOOOOOOO DELICIOUS! I hope we make it back to Norfolk for many more visits because this will certainly be a place we would stop in each trip!

I typically do take out here but every now and then, my partner and I will dine in. We were greeted by the server within 5 minutes and she let us pick where we wanted to sit. I've noticed that it's usually one server doing the entire dining area. However she was very attentive and our food came out very quickly. There were a lot of people at the time so we had to pick one of two tables that were cleaned off. We ordered garlic knots, spaghetti and Alfredo with breaded chicken. I always like the Alfredo and today was no different, the sauce was very thick and filling. The garlic knots were delish however I think they are making them smaller now because they are pretty tiny now. The spaghetti was nothing to write home about. There was a lot of pasta water and it left much to be desired. The tvs were on and as I mentioned before there were a lot of people in the dining area so it was a little lively. Overall I would come dine again for sure.

What's better than the real deal pizza and Italian restaurant? One that is open until midnight! Step into the restaurant and you see lots of people waiting for their pizzas, or salads, or subs or pastas. At the to go order counter, service is fast, even the open kitchen behind the counter is buzzing with busy chefs. Great selection of everything. There is also a full service dining only section. The ambience is divey, less formal than most Italian restaurants - but this is not meant to pay exorbitant prices for mediocre food - this place is for foodies who know where to get great portions, quality ingredients and great tasting dishes!!! This is my go to Italian restaurant from here on out - wish they have more of the grilled octopus, Branzino or cannelloni - just suggestion....

First let me say that the staff was extremely friendly... I grabbed 2 slices of sausage and pepperoni with a small chef salad. Food was good, but nothing to write home about...just average. I would visit again just on the service alone.

Great pizza in a town that great pizza is hard to find. Service is fast and friendly and the prices are very reasonable by today's standards.

The pizza sizes are exceptional. My server did an awesome job explaining the menu and was very sweet. This restaurant has a cute dining area. It's perfect for date night or for family outings. The pizza I chose was absolutely delicious. It was stuffed with fresh meat and the sauce was amazing. The pizza had the right amount of thickness. It gave a perfect crunch. I also had the ravioli. The crisp on it was just right and was bursting with flavor. The seasonings definitely hit the spot.

Service here was amazing. Shay helped me out and came by often to check on me. The place was pretty quiet when I came in and they had football on the TV, which was nice because I was dining alone. The food wasn't terrible, but nothing amazing. I should have ordered the pizza. My pasta was a bit overcooked, so it became a slimy mess with the Marsala sauce. Everything needed a little salt. Everything was a good value, I would return and try something different.

I just started working in the area and my coworkers wanted to take me to some of their favorite spots in the area. Del Vecchios was the first spot. I was a little hesitant because it was giving "hole in the wall" but those usually have the best food and it didn't disappoint. We got there around 11:45am and ordered our food to go. There was about 3 people in front of us. I got the 2 supreme pizza and a drink lunch special. The prices were reasonable too. While waiting for our food I noticed there was a dine in area on the other side. By the time our food was ready, the line was wrapped around the building. I would suggest getting there before noon. The pizza tasted pretty good. We got big slices and I was pleased. I've been 2 more times and it gets better and better. I would recommend it to everyone!

Delicious pizza! I had kind of a long wait for a phone order, but they were backed up from a large order. Garlic knots were very good as well!

Tried Del Vecchios for the first time on a Friday for lunch. The food was great. Get the garlic knots, you won't regret it! The sit down service was set up nice with a separate to go section. The servers were very nice and accommodating. I will definitely be going back with my family.

Best Pizza around! I get the Brooklyn Pizza and my mouth drools the whole way home from smelling it in the car. I drive all the way from Moyock, NC for this!

Ordered online for pickup. I arrived a little early and waited a little. The food was totally worth it, pizza and wings were delicious. It's been awhile since I've had that type of quality. Would definitely like to try dining in next time.

I have to admit I have been just lazy in not posting this review earlier because I have been here on several occasions so that must infer on how much I enjoy each of my visits so here we go. I have had on multiple occasions the pleasure of dining at Del Vecchios Pizza, and I must say it was a delightful experience. The restaurant has a cozy atmosphere, with dim lighting and Italian-inspired decor that makes you feel like you're in a traditional pizzeria in Naples. The menu had an extensive range of toppings, from classic margherita to more innovative combinations like prosciutto and arugula. We ordered the mushroom and truffle oil pizza, which was a delicious medley of earthy flavors and a perfect crust that wasn't too thin or too thick. The service was prompt and courteous, and our server was happy to recommend some excellent wine pairings to go with our pizza. We also decided to try a side of garlic knots, which were soft and buttery and the perfect complement to our meal. Overall, I highly recommend Del Vecchios Pizza for anyone looking for a casual yet authentic dining experience and delicious pizza that is worth every penny. I can't wait to return and try some of their other menu items!

I really was looking forward to dining here and I hate to say that I was unimpressed. There were three of us the the other two people also expressed their dissatisfaction with the food they received. Sadly, I won't be returning.

This was my first time here a few weeks ago and I loved it! We had pizza and wings before the wrestling event at Chartway. We were seated quickly, but the staff was limited. While we were on a time crunch, the service was a bit slow and the food took longer than expected to reach our table. Nevertheless, the server was attentive and on point throughout our dining experience. He did tell me his name, but I so forgot. And he was actually running the front and seating/serving guests. Everyone at the table enjoyed their meal. Only one hiccup, a friend order something but after minutes of waiting the server informed him they were out and he was unaware. No biggie, but communication is key, especially when you have your mouth set on something to eat and then minutes later are told the sad news. Oh well. We did ask for the wings to be fried hard... they were great! My husbae and I shared a large pizza. I think it was large. Well we both had four slices and tore it up! I recommend you check out this spot. Not sure if 'real' Italian is what you are searching for, but if pizza and wings tickle your fancy this place is worth checking out. Parking... it can be a challenge, but this spot is located off of the busy Hampton Blvd. perhaps there is parking in the rear. But we parking in the Chartway garage and walked over with no issues. Amazinggggg!!! We thought we were stopping in to order carry out but were pleasantly surprised to find a nice dining section with wine and beer and excellent table service. Austyn was our server and she was so much fun and super professional with the wine, the menu information, and the answers to all of our questions! The food - OMG - the food!! Greek salad was fresh and the creamy balsamic was excellent as the dressing. The fried ravioli offered perfectly cooked little pillows of soft cheese with a delicious red sauce on the side (I asked for a red sauce to go because it was so good!). And the pizza was a work of art! We had the NY style sausage and mushroom with the crust lattice on top and it was THE best pizza we've had in a long time! We will be back again and again!!

Del Vecchios' pizza hits the spot! Whenever I'm in the mood for a lazy dinner or movie night in, I always think to grab an extra large pizza from Del Vecchios. An extra large pizza is plenty to share between 2-3 people. Every time I go to pick up my pizza, it is always crowded with people - evidence that their pizza is off the charts! I've tried all kinds of pizzas on their menu, but somehow I always fall back on their margherita pizza! Love this place, and will continue to be a returning customer. 10/10!

Do not get the chicken Marsala. It is oily, chicken was soggy and sauce was not creamy at all. Extremely disappointing overall.

Ordered pizza to go on this rainy June night. Drove around in a circle looking for this place because it's pretty well tucked away. I placed my order online and it actually did not take as long as it was supposed to. The pizza is good and reasonably priced. It's nothing to shout about, just decent and good enough to scarf down after a long day. The Bronx is definitely a good pizza and I'm grateful there are vegetarian options here. Worth driving around for!

I came here with a group after a monarchs game and we shared a few pizzas .. the chicken ranch pizza was THICK and delicious. One of those pies could easily feed 4 people. Garlic knots were so good also. Service was good & they were busy. Seemed like a lot of families came by, perhaps since they sold pizza by the slice. The decor was dated but who cares? The food was great.

Definitely the spot for ODU students. Cheap good reliable pizza and american italian dishes. The chicken back ranch slice is very popular but you can't go wrong with a regular slice of pep!

Now that's pizza that reminds me of my old stomping grounds back in Jersey! After an intense hour of playing Dodge Bow, four of my friends and I headed up to Del Vecchio's for pizza. We got an 18 inch Staten Island (the chicken parm pizza) as well as a 14 inch that was half veggie and half veggie with pepperoni and sausage. They do have limited seating in a back dining room. The pizzas took about 15-20 minutes to cook, so if nothing else, you know they're being made from scratch, well I'm sure the dough is already prepared. We wolfed both of the pizzas down with no problem. The crust was crunchy, but still had that chew, such an important combination for a quality pizza crust. I could taste the sauce, which was important, a lot of pizza places either don't put enough sauce on or they put so much on that it gets the crust a little bit soggy. That did not happen here. And great quality ingredients. The vegetables were fresh and I could really taste the Italian seasonings in the thinly sliced sausage. I did live in Chicago for 20 years, so maybe on a cold day, I'll head over there for some stuffed pizza...

loved the cheese steak sub it was the perfect combination of meaty and cheesy goodness! 10/10 waiter was very attentive and nice.

Excellent pizzas and Greek salad (5 out of 5) with a hassle-free contact-less delivery through Grubhub but a 3-star review had to happen after finding a shard of plastic cooked into my pizza crust! I'm just thankful it happened to be in my crust rather than in one of the kids' slices and thankfully I caught it before getting hurt by it. Careless error by the restaurant staff could have ruined the night but really... the pizza was so good, this incident likely won't keep me away.

This is just the best pizzaria around. If you want solid, affordable, quick pizza, this is your place. Get the 18" pepperoni. Literally $12 and you'll have enough to eat for two hangover breakfasts afterwards. Easy to miss from the road, drive around back. Also try the cheesesteak sometime.

Quick delivery and food arrived fresh and hot. I had a heart transplant at Santera Heart Hospital and it was my mother's birthday while she was here visiting me in the hospital. She wanted something nice/fancy to eat. She was really craving seafood, but I was like you really want that delivered? So she changed her mind. This place was recommended by all the hospital staff as they claim they order from here all the time. My Mom ordered the eggplant parmigiana and I ordered a while cheese pizza. Food was here rather quickly and as said before was still hot. Driver was kind as to call when he arrived. Food was delicious. Best pizza I've had in VA.

One Saturday afternoon found us hungry in Norfolk. We had our friends with us and their 3 teen granddaughters. Finding a mutually agreeable spot with 7 people, some pickier than others, is tricky on a good day. Just imagine how much harder it is during a pandemic where some restaurants aren't even open and if they are, do they have enough room for 7 and if they meet that requirement, is their menu paired down or full? You wouldn't think it would be so hard to find a dining spot even in a pandemic in Norfolk because there are so many spots, but, it was more daunting than normal. After a 10 minute Yelp search, we found Del Vecchios. I was never so excited to find a place to eat as I was that day. We did find that half of their dining room was closed but luckily enough we were the only inside diners. Now, due to our frenemy Covie, we had to place our orders up front, everything came in take out containers (including condiments) and we had to pick up at the counter too. Our party took up the only 2 tables they had but no one seemed to mind as most of the business we saw was take out. Our party of 7 had varying tastes and desires for lunch and despite that, we were all able to find something delectable to dine on. I'm a little late in my review but in these pics you'll see some of what we dined on. I will say this, my cheesesteak made quite an indelible memory as being one of the best I've ever had. It's not often you get lettuce and tomato and that's how I love it. it!! We don't get their way often but next time I'm close, I'm stopping back in for another sandwich.

I must be spoiled in NY. 200-300 reviews and 4 stars usually means "pretty good". nope. This place was horrible. We had just landed in Norfolk and were headed to our hotel to start a much needed weekend getaway. This was one of the few places open. So because of the aforementioned reviews, we decided to order from here. Was hoping for a sit-down meal, but their dining room closed early so we ordered take out. Food: We ordered Calzone, calamari, tiramisu, and chocolate cake to share among 3 people. Where to start? Calzone was just horrible. calamari was horrible. Tiramisu was good, but my wife, the tiramisu connoisseur (she orders it where ever we go) is convinced (she could be wrong) that it's costco tiramisu. The chocolate cake also tasted out of a freezer. Bottom line: go elsewhere.

This place was AMAZING. I'm from Cali so I'm used to a hustle and bustle always busy environment, this place felt empty to me. There was like 10 people total when I went in at 6 pm on a Sunday. My mom and I got a pizza which was super good and the little house salad I got was perfect for a little bit of a light and refreshing bit to cut through the thick and heavy feel of the pizza. Our server was Shey, he's so funny and so so so nice. He was super attentive and made good conversation. I literally want to be his friend, he was so great. I'd ask for him to be my server every time I'm here.

Amazing food, great service. Had the Chicago style deep dish pan pizza loaded. It was amazing. Started with the garlic knots, was quite sure at first but awesome concept and they were delicious. Pro tip, save the garlic sauce from the garlic knots and dip your pizza in it when it arrives. Amazing. Really impressed by the service. Will definitely be visiting again and again. Loved it.

My wife and I traveled to Virginia beach for vacation this fourth of July. We always try to find the best pizza joint in the area, and let me tell you, Del Vecchios does not disappoint. I ordered the fried calamari and the linguine with white clam sauce. My wife ordered the new York stuffed meat pizza. The calamari was delectable. It was lightly breaded and literally melted in my mouth. The linguine was sublime, and the clams were cooked to a tender perfection. The portions were very large and filling. The stuffed pizza was a masterpiece. My wife enjoyed the pizza very much. Our waitress,Hannah, was friendly and attentive to our needs. The atmosphere is very inviting and comfortable. We will come back someday soon. My wife and I discussed and both agree, Del Vecchios is the best pizza/Italian restaurant at which we have ever had the pleasure to dine! Definitely a 10 out of 10!!!
