"Why book? To experience a cosmopolitan side of Connecticut Set the scene When I first joined Traveler, my mother half-joked that if I ever got to stay at the Delamar, I’d be bringing her along with me. We both grew up in nearby Connecticut towns—Ridgefield for her, and then New Canaan for me. Prior to marrying, she edited children’s books at a publishing house in Greenwich and, when I was four, she watched the Delamar Greenwich Harbor—the first luxury property in this luxurious neck of the woods—open its doors, and gossiped with other young mothers about the erotic fantasies such a fabulous hotel and its accompanying bar would bring to the wasp’s nest. When it turned out that I would indeed pay a visit, I showed up with my mother Lisa in tow. And at this plush waterfront hotel with a tranquil view from the balcony, in a suite so capacious we could lose each other if we wanted to, not once did we bicker. The backstory Greenwich, for the unfamiliar, is a prosperous city ensconced in Connecticut’s little panhandle. Its proximity to Manhattan (a 50-minute jaunt aboard the Metro-North Railroad) gave high rollers a convenient suburban annex for their ball and chains. Along the Harbor that feeds into the Sound sprang up—and has continued to, with new development arising here, there, everywhere—homes so remarkable in their grandness and scale that one might ironically call them “cottages." It was along this so-called Gold Coast that entrepreneur and shipping titan Charles Mallory chose to first dip his toe into hospitality; two decades in, the success of the Greenwich institution has spawned three more Delamars in Connecticut, plus a fourth in Michigan. The rooms The 1,200-square-foot Presidential Suite, beautiful as it is, was nearly shirked entirely by me during my stay in favor of its balcony. I camp out on this delicious sliver with coffee in the morning, and then wine and then coffee again throughout the day, variously gazing out at the water and leafing through my Iris Murdoch novel. The interiors are minimalist Tuscan, with creamy walls and picture windows framing that aforementioned fabulous view. Plush doesn’t begin to cover it. Food and drink Onsite restaurant L’Escale is just as much a Greenwich institution as the hotel itself—a proper entity conveniently attached at the hip to your lodging for power lunchers in daylight, special-occasion diners in the evening, and a rotating cast of Hopper subjects always at the bar. It’s a Friday night when I eat there; the Friday before Halloween, a man eats his dinner in a cape, fanged dentures on the table. Fine French fare is the name of the game here, with Executive Chef Frederic Kieffer (who also oversees the Artisan restaurants at the other Delamar locations) and his team delivering excellent spreads of seafood in the fitting sound-side location (the restaurant, like the rooms, enjoys prime water views). Favorite bites included the tuna crudo and a duck that seems to have fallen off the rotating menu—but it’s hard to go wrong here. My mother, a picky eater, cleaned her plate of every course, and even ate oysters and mushrooms for the first time in my life! The spa The impeccably tasteful Georgette Mallory (aforementioned Charles' wife) oversees the Delamar Spa here, as with the other locations, and treatments utilize skincare from Bioloqigue Recherche and Valmont. They’re big on facials—ask for AJ if you’d enjoy a particularly skillful extraction; I left looking younger. The neighborhood/area A seven minute stroll from the Greenwich train station and the shopping of Greenwich Avenue beyond, this is not a country hotel. There’s much to do within walking distance; don’t miss the Bruce Museum (and the surrounding 100-acre Bruce Park) that’s a mere four minutes away on foot for some contemporary art and natural history. The service Smiling, friendly, and personal. Ask about the private yachting experience, available from May to October—rare custom yachts are on hand to take visitors into the Harbor, where you can stake out the city’s finest real estate while munching on tea sandwiches. When you return to port, don’t be surprised if you’re presented with a surprise gift memorializing the experience. For families A few polite kids hang around the lobby, but the space isn’t exactly replete with entertainment for them. Anything left to mention? Take a moment to enjoy the art in the lobby, handpicked from Mallory’s collection to compliment the sun-soaked space. There’s a fine sculpture of a female nude on a pedestal that I’m told a mischievous bunch of L’escale drinkers attempted to steal once, but my favorite is a massive Alan Gaizer called Tapies Rouge II, depicting an interior filling with light in much the same way as the room in which it sits." - Charlie Hobbs

We return to the Delamar Greenwich Harbor every year for our most important business meetings, and it never disappoints. The service is consistently outstanding—seamless, professional, and genuinely warm. A special thank you to Kayla and Carrie on the hotel side for always going above and beyond, and to Ashlie at L’Escale, who ensures every meeting runs smoothly and flawlessly.||||What really sets Delamar apart is the people. There’s not a single staff member from AV techs to the morning and evening captains to the front desk who doesn’t make you feel like the most important guest. The attention to detail and level of care across the board is exceptional.||||The hotel is beautiful, with spotless, well-appointed rooms and a serene waterfront location. Dining at L’Escale is always a treat, and every part of the experience—from check-in to check-out—feels elevated and thoughtfully curated.||||It’s rare to find a place this consistently excellent. Highly recommend for both business and leisure stays.

I only stayed for one night but was able to experience the spa, dinner, and breakfast. The spa is not huge but it is lovely and my massage with Edith was fantastic. I stayed in one of the newly renovated rooms which was gorgeous and had a small balcony overlooking the harbor. The room also had the most interesting mini bar with very unusual snacks and great bottled cocktails. The room had a cozy banquette and table in the corner. Perfect for work or dining. Dinner at L'Escale was excellent --the place was buzzing. Lucky for me, I had my first softshell crab of the season and it was delicious! The restaurant appeared to be very popular with locals. It was pretty rainy when I was there but the outdoor bar overlooking the water looked very inviting for better weather. Breakfast was excellent too--loved the avocado toast. Not all of the rooms have been renovated so be sure to request a renovated room. Service all around was top notch.

The Delamar resort was a very pleasant surprise. The staff was amazing (especially Ben) and our room very comfortable with a great view of the harbour. I would highly recommend the Delamar if you're visiting Greenwich. My only complaint was how slow the service was in their restaurant. The food was very good and the staff friendly, but the service definitely needs improvent.

Came for a family member's wedding, and while we did not stay in the hotel, we spent 8 hours in the building and walking around, and it was an extremely nice experience! The view from the ballroom was gorgeous. The food and drinks were delicious. The staff was very professional and courteous. It was our first visit to Connecticut, and such a pleasure!

Google
Very friendly and professional staff, in a really nice location by the water with great views towards the estuary and an easy walk into downtown which is worth a visit. As we only spent one night we only saw a little of the area which is definitely worth a return trip. Very good quality hotel

Afternoon Tea: perfect! I took my mom for afternoon tea and it was so well done and better than expected!! Tea sandwiches were fresh, sweets were delicious. Attention to detail and presentation was terrific. Love the Mackenzie Child paring! The Delamar made a memorable day even more special. Thank you!

Finally the renovated rooms, along with the exceptional service make this a top choice in Greenwich. Our rooms were hypoallergenic (requested) upon arrival and the check in was easy. Everyone was very attentive. There is a huge difference with the service since the Bunny Williams interior decorating renovation of the rooms. The level of service went up along with the newer rooms.

We have stayed at The Delamar many times, because it is one of the best places to stay in Greenwich. This time was for the sad occasion of a family funeral. The staff were extremely caring ... we say thank you to Aurora, Hally, Chetarra and Diego. The newly renovated L'Escale was a nice place for a relaxing dinner for us afterwards. The Delamar is also conveniently located to Greenwich Avenue and overlooks the Greenwich Harbor. It is a very lovely place.

Yelp
Amazing experience and wonderful service! We had a great stay here that began with a glass of champagne at check in, great brunch at L'Escale, and some delicious chocolates at their Be Chocolate store. Sara, the concierge, was incredibly helpful with scheduling a shopping trip at Richard's and we also took a yacht charter on a beautiful day. Look forward to returning.

Yelp
Looks and feels dated but it's still mostly clean with good service. I don't have any other options but to stay here every time I come visit for work as it's our company's go-to (with discounted rates). I've stayed here a couple times now and none have been worth mentioning any kudos for. The breakfast is fine- just yoghurt, some berries and pastries. Everything is mediocre here. I don't get the high pricing. I would NEVER stay here if it's for personal stay. The staff is friendly and I liked the shuttle service for when our group needed to go to dinner nearby. The room needs a serious facelift. Who crochets friggin shower curtains? Looks haunted. We usually also have company get together here but L'Escale was closed during my last visit (past week). We had a retirement party here as well and booked the entire first floor banquet and a lot of us stayed here. I see from the other reviews that people are bothered by these parties- I feel for them, but the hotel doesn't have any obligation to let you know beforehand of such events unfortunately.

Yelp
My friend enjoyed a spa day to celebrate my birthday. First, the hotel is gorgeous. The spa itself was also very nice. We both enjoyed our massages. They give you a robe and slippers and have a relaxation room. It is on the pricey side, but this is expected for the area. I would definitely come back.

Yelp
We stayed last year at the delamar in Southport, and comfort and service was about equal. I thought Greenwich had a much nicer lobby with board games and a fire place and a very tempting chocolate store. Where I think delamar Greenwich fell short was breakfast. More like a grab and go, yogurt or a muffin and that's it. Southport put on a beautiful spread with a lot of places to sit. I don't know how the breakfast could differ so much from one to another. I would of been happy to pay a bit more to see a spread similar to that of Southport.

Yelp
Lovely waterfront setting with an old world elegance most hotels cannot achieve these days.

Yelp
We booked this hotel looking for a quiet refuge from NYC. They had called before we arrived to confirm as we had took the last room available. When we checked in they told us our room was on the 2nd floor, exactly above the place where there was a reception that was going to go on until 11:30pm. They didn't tell us this when we booked the room or when they called to confirm. They knew the hotel was completely booked with the reception guests. This was extremely inconsiderate, deceptive and disrespectful. You just cannot put guests in rooms above a dance floor without telling them in advance, that's just good business practice. We asked about another room at their other property in Southport but they said the only room available was an extra $800 (with no consideration of what trouble they put us through). (This was 5pm on Saturday), so I doubt they would be able to fill that room anyways. The concierge was not apologetic and denied any wrongdoing. Poor customer service and bad attitude. We will not be staying here, ever. Take your business elsewhere unless you like sleeping above a noisy dance party.

Yelp
a disappointing experience staying there. A too soft mattress with a few lumps left my back a little sore the next day. The free continental breakfast consisted of old looking bananas and stale looking croissants. I was billed For more than the rate that was promised. When I gave a low rating on the survey, I was contacted by someone called the 'room division manager' who was so defensive and unhelpful, she made the whole experience even worse. The restaurant was very nice, so stay somewhere else and just eat in the restaurant.

Biagio B.

Yelp
Horrible do not go!! Scam They charged me 250$ for smoking outside my room on the patio... Scammers and unpolite and rude. manager was awful to talk to and she basically laughed in my face.. they are selling rooms and charging people 250$ when they know people are going to smoke on the balcony...

Amanda J.

Yelp
Not exactly the best experience staying here sadly. When booking we were told that we'd be charged $239 for our room which was the neighborhood deal being that we were traveling from Rhode Island. Our room was 106 which sat on the water view side of the hotel. After checking in my husband saw that they charged our card $417. We immediately went down to the front desk to discuss the matter. We explained that when booking we were told we'd be charged the $239 for the room. The front desk explained that there is a $100 that's held against the room in the event of damages but that there's also additional fees for the occupancy tax which is $35.85 and a $15.00 service charge. This totals $389.85. We were never told what the extra $28 was that were trying to charge us but they did correct the issue. So total for a night stay was $289.00 My husband and I do a lot of traveling. While the hotel lobby was beautiful and kept up with, our room itself showed aging. The room was small and the furniture showed wear and tear. The room was clean which of course is one of the main importance especially during a pandemic. The view of the water was just ok from the balcony. Both of us being professional photographers we were hoping to get a beautiful shot of the sunset but didn't have much to work with. The highway is about a quarter of a mile away from the hotel so when sitting out on the balcony it gets pretty noisy. Luckily that's muffled out when the balcony doors are closed so you will be able to get some sleep. Our refrigerator oddly was locked so we were unable to put our drinks inside of it to keep them cold throughout our stay. We had no access to the min bar also inside the refrigerator. Right outside our room I believe must be the smoking area because we saw multiple people and a staff member from the restaurant taking breaks. We checked out early the next morning. Both my husband and I politely said good morning to the front desk clerk on at the time who didn't greet us back. He simply took our card keys. We made sure that the total was going to in fact be the $289 originally promised and that was taken care of. The clerk didn't ask us how our stay was, no we hope to have you back soon, nothing. Not even have a great day even though we wished him one. Not friendly or personable in the least. Have never felt less welcome at a hotel before especially one that seemed "classy". While the hotel itself may appear classy, much of the staff lacked class. The door man on the other hand was very friendly.

Lucinda C.

Yelp
The staff were very nice, but we were placed in a handicap accessible room that felt like a hospital. We asked for them to change it; the staff tried hard to find the manager because she needed to override the online booking. After we sat in the lobby for an hour, she finally showed up but said she wouldn't change the room. We've stayed here several times before but are unlikely to stay again.

Kenneth A.

Yelp
Common areas are very beautiful. Unfortunately the rooms are old and dated. Old bathrooms with shower curtains. Our AC didn't work and the room was constantly 'hot' and muggy especially after taking showers. Reported issue to the staff and the AC unit still did not operate properly. In addition, the unit was very loud as was the bathroom fan. If there are other options to select from, I would recommend that you explore them. The people were very nice and accommodating. On whole 3 stars is a stretch! Regards, KJA

Yelp
What a beautiful hotel situated right on the Greenwich harbor. My stay began with the offer of a bottle of Voss water. The lobby was breathtaking. The rooms were luxurious every comfort was available. Soft beds super soft pillows, Bluetooth speaker alarm clock. Robe and slippers in the closet. High end snacks and a fully stocked liquor cabinet in room. The bathroom was well stocked with anything you may have forgotten and with a phone call (from bathroom phone) you could get anything not provided. Also rooms have a doorbell, that's a first for me. Upon checking in we received vouchers for morning breakfast which consisted of fresh pastries, yogurt with fresh toppings and a juicer that made the tastiest orange juice I have had from a hotel stay. The continental breakfast on Saturday was also as good, fresh raspberry preserves, bagels and breads with the same pastries and juices. Friday they offered cheese and wine with a piano accompaniment, doesn't get much better than this. In the evening the hotel staff brought water (Voss) and ice service to rooms. And chocolate. Parking was covered right outside the entrance. They offered free transportation in one of two Teslas. The staff was professional and helpful our entire stay. Will return for a non business stay.

Daniel Z.

Yelp
Very nice room. Great service. Views from the room and walks along hotel were awesome. They have some very $$ art work hanging throughout that makes you feel like your in a museum. Great night sleep.

Brian M.

Yelp
Service was excellent. Rooms clean, beds comfortable. Great town and the hotel has a shuttle which is a Tesla. Normally im too lazy to write reviews but the gentleman behind the desk gave me a bottle of water on my way out. It's the little things. Great bang for your buck with this place. I should also mention we were there for a wedding and they had a great area fir the reception

J G.

Yelp
The staff here cares about people - which is absolutely the goal of any respectable hotel. I felt like they welcomed me into their home and every staff member looked after my needs. Aside from the service, the hotel is classically beautiful and in a great location. From arranging transportation to finding my favorite tea to enjoy by the fireplace, I was completely content.

Lauren J.

Yelp
The hotel is ok. Would I stay here again, probably not. The room service was decent. The gym was surprisingly good, free water. The coffee in the library is terrible so the next day I ordered coffee to my room - also terrible. The AC in my room was loud, it sounds like a bathroom fan running. The restaurant down stairs can get a little noisy (from inside my room). There is some electrical issue because the lights go from bright to dim bright to dim. The bathroom sink was cracked and the faucets were janky.

Robbie M.

Yelp
This is one of my favorite places !! It's immaculate and top notch ! My friend and I try to come every 6 months... The massages are out of this world . They provide a Tesla service to and from town . Try it, you'll love it

Katelyn M.

Yelp
We were there for our mini-honeymoon because due to covid we couldn't travel out of the country. We had a sweet surprise of champagne in our room when we arrived! The staff was lovely and attentive. Only 4 stars because the restaurant was very expensive. $16 for an omelette, $15 for eggs and toast. Needless to say we ate breakfast else where. Also, I wish we had booked it earlier so we could have a harbor view. The town view over looked the roof.

Christy G.

Yelp
Deliciously prepared food, chicken and veal pounded so thin- absolutely wonderful! Ambience is warm and very inviting. Pricey but worth it! I highly recommend.

Michael R.

Yelp
Stayed here from June 21, 2021 to June 26. During that time a convention took over the restaurant and it's 2 bars for every day until 5:30 and on one day for the entire day and night. There was no mention of thIs. Now the only thing they have going for them is the facilities as the rooms are tired and small. What a pathetic hotel. Should be called a motel. However, before you think about somewhere else in Fairfield County, be aware the same entity owns nearly all the decent hotels. Connecticut needs some competition there.

Pamela J.

Yelp
Second stay and truly superb. Had management not reached out to me to return, I'd have missed this great experience. It definitely was more akin to a luxury hotel this stay. Everything went smoothly except for one room service snafu and the staff was exquisite. Love the location close to town and being able to park the convertible for a couple days and merely walk. Le pampered spoiled chien loved his waterside walks too. And, they have nice bar burger perfect for the furry ones.

Ellen O.

Yelp
Everyone was wonderful. Went out of their way to treat us like royalty. Greeting us with prosecco flute esp nice touch. Very special thanks to Alesia and Taylor at front desk. The staff even delivered a bottle of bubbly to our door to commemorate special occasion. Restaurant superb and access to ferry and Greenwich Ave shopping and dining first rate. A very special thanks to Christian, superhero massage therapist who has the gift and goes above and beyond. We couldn't have asked for a better visit. Thank you Delamar Greenwich Harbor.

Cynnie T.

Yelp
We had a lovely dinner and overnight at Delamar in Greenwich. We were there for a small family reunion and everyone loved it. This is a top notch establishment. The rooms and common areas are exquisitely decorated and the staff is professional and proactive. We felt pampered and special, starting with the glass of Prosecco and Voss bottle of water at check-in. Our dinner was fantastic and the service was elegant. If you are looking for an elegant, boutique hotel for a romantic get-away or small group gathering, this is the place. There was a wedding reception for about 200 people at the restaurant the night we were there. Our group of 8 barely noticed they were there and the kitchen did not miss a beat.

Yelp
I booked a hotel at Delamar Greenwhich Harbor a few weeks ago on August 4. I was looking forward and enthused to stay at this fine hotel. I was excited! Then I was not feeling great and canceled by hotel reservation on August 7 which was well within the window of getting a refund. Because I booked it through expedia I had to cancel it on the expedia website. For some reason expedia did not notify the hotel of my cancelation in a timely manner. I had requested to rebook for a different night or get a refund. The hotel refused both. I called the hotel directly and spoke to a rude manager named "Linda". I can't tell you the rudeness. I spoked with her and was told, "we are trying to run a business". Wow! Talk about poor customer service. I hope that's not the response if I were actually at the hotel and had an issue. I then contacted the BBB and got a very rude response form an employee named Rachael who is trying to pass the issue off to expedia. Expedia when we book on it books the hotel. Yes they failed to notify the hotel in a timely manner but hey that's not my fault. I've requested to just stay another night to enjoy this luxury hotel and it appears my request was denied at this point. If you are looking to book here DON'T!!! If you get sick or not feeling great THEY ARE RUDE and WON'T put customers first. Rather as their lovely front desk staff indicates, "THEY ARE A BUSSINESS" and I'd say that means all they want is MONEY! Not superior customer service and happy customers. Looks they this hotel lost some new business.

Eric C.

Yelp
Rooms here were great, very plush and beds were super comfortable. The staff was very friendly and took us several places in their Tesla Model X transport vehicles. The 4th floor had a god breakfast buffet which was mainly continental with smoked salmon as well. The Escale restaurant next door had a fun outdoor bar scene at night, and the location was very walkable to the Main Street in Greenwich.

Barry S.

Yelp
The people that work there are the absolute best. Building a house and my 1 week stay turned into 2 months and they did everything possible to make our stay feel like home. Every single person in that Hotel cares about you. I could go on and on about the how great the Delamar is from the rooms to the views of the mega yachts pulling in and out. Can't wait to try there other properties. By the way the best coffee. Barry

Anca D.

Yelp
Thank you very much for accommodating us with the baby! We appreciate the room upgraded to the Harbor view and also the crib that was brought in immediately for our nine months daughter! Service was excellent, staff friendly and room service very satisfactory!Front desk employees very professional and helpful! We will be back!

Rebecca Y.

Yelp
Beautiful Hotel , great service .. Stayed the weekend in mid July had a great time.. Hotel is located in great area minutes from restaurants & shops . I would defiantly come back :))

Omo I.

Yelp
Stayed at the Delamar Greenwich Harbor hotel last weekend with my mother and sister, and was absolutely blown away by my experience. I booked the hotel at 1 pm, on the day of our stay. Our previous travel plans to Puerto Rico were affected by hurricane Dorian so we needed a last minute getaway. At check in, (after being served complimentary champagne), we met Raymond, aka our "fairy godmother." He upgraded us to a huge king suite with two bathrooms and a balcony with a view of the marina. The next day, he sent up plates of desserts, complete with a flower arrangement & liquor arranged on a bed of sand stating "since you weren't able to go to the beach, I wanted to bring the beach to you." To say I was touched, is an understatement. Also, met Ben and Jose who graciously drove us around in the hotel "shuttle" which is a Tesla with suicide doors . Other nice amenities were the restaurant breakfast and boat ride which are complimentary on the weekends. Thanks Raymond for helping me impress my mom. I stayed the favorite child for a week straight!

Annie W.

Yelp
What a treat! My husband and I came here for a one day getaway from N.Y. Everything was perfect from the start. We were greeted with 2 glasses of champagne when we walked in. Oscar, the gentleman at the front desk gave us a little tour before we headed upstairs to our scheduled 60 min. body massages. If you are looking for a deep deep tissue massage, it may not be your cup of tea. We both had medium pressure massages that left us so relaxed and cozy in our heated massage beds. I just wanted to stay there and take a long nap! The Delamar had an old fashioned classic flare which is a nice change of pace as opposed to the usual modern hotel choices. The suite itself is very spacious with a nice view of the harbor. All the linens, towels, pillows were all very clean and crisp (met/ exceeded my germaphobic standards). The 24/7 coffee and snack bar was so nice to have since i do always have the late night cravings. Overall, we had such a nice and relaxing stay. We would definitely recommend others to visit!!

Adam P.

Yelp
I stayed in a waterfront room at the Delamar last night and it was gorgeous. The room's balcony was a decent size and it was nice to sit out. Everything was very clean and the wifi was fast. The staff at the Delamar provide a very welcoming vibe, everyone I talked to from the front desk to the bar were very friendly and helpful. I was very pleased with the outdoor bar as the drinks were great as well as the bartenders. Sitting at the bar on such a beautiful night was definitely a treat.

Casey S.

Yelp
The moment you walk in you feel like a celebrity. From the complementary glass of champagne at check in to The fancy free espresso drinks in the lounge. I had a cozy afternoon playing chess in the study by the roaring Fireplace followed by a stroll on the deck admiring the boats still left in the harbor. Clientele was mostly suit guys and a few pastel wearing preps. The room was A+ with comfy plush beds and the best smelling soaps! Meal at the restaurant was small but A+ ( don't bring a hungry boyfriend here looking for a hearty meal) Great meal, great service, great people! Can't wait to go back!

Meg S.

Yelp
Lovely hotel! When you first arrive they offer water (in beautiful glass bottles that I have saved and now use at work) and a glass of champagne. The rooms are very homey and immaculate. Service was wonderful. They have a really nice lobby and free parking!

Cathy L.

Yelp
Room was clean, beautifully appointed, lovely view of the harbor, concierge level was well staffed and had yummy snacks to offer. They offered car service to downtown Greenwich, which was very helpful. Reception was courteous, efficient and professional. Easy in and out. Delightful stay.

Formicas F.

Yelp
This is an amazing hotel. Great front desk staff when we checked in and they were willing to accomodate for an early check in and a late check out- that is worth at least 1 star alone! But then you walk through the lobby and with plush surroundings and the water front view you are sold! After getting to your room and discovering music playing and fabulously high thread count linens on the bed- ahh! Need I say more? We didn't have the best view from our room- since opted for the cheapest room- but who needs a view? Just walk outside and you see many boats docked not 20 feet from the hotel exit! Fabulous. This place is amazing and would be great for any occasion, but prepare to be pampered and relaxed..Oh yeah, they also have a spa for that :)

M C.

Yelp
Love everything about this hotel! The staff and the accommodations exceeded our expectations. We were luck to have a 48 degree day in February to enjoy the sunshine on the balcony overlooking the harbor.

Kristen K.

Yelp
The Delamar Greenwich Harbor is such a wonderful place. The hotel itself is beautiful but what really made our stay exceptional was the staff. Everyone who helped us during our stay went above and beyond to make us feel at home. We came here right after our wedding and they made us feel so special. Champagne at check in and there were snacks and wine available on the floor our room was on (muffins, bagels, lox, yogurt, cookies, cheese, fruit!) They even sent a plate of chocolate covered strawberries and wrote 'Congratulations!' in chocolate on the plate! So thoughtful! The hotel is also in a convenient location. It is a quick walk to restaurants and shops. And if you want to go out for dinner and don't feel like walking, they have a Tesla to drive you there and back. I would highly recommend The Delamar Greenwich Harbor!

Lisa P.

Yelp
My stay was fantastic. The staff is super efficient and friendly. I am from Greenwich and I will definitely continue to recommend the hotel to friends and family. The Delamar is a gem.

Jean Y.

Yelp
I stayed here for 2-4 nights every week for more than 6 months for business travel. I already know that nobody will ever top this place. This place makes everything personal in the best ways to make it easy to be away from home: - hand written cards waiting in the room accompanying goodies (anything from basic chocolates to small bottles of wine, farm to table toffee lol, and even toiletry sets) - months later, they remember conversations from my earlier visits - they accommodate the silliest needs - forgotten toiletries to scissors/tape (i have no idea why i needed these lol) - a midnight bar with amazing tea, crackers, cheese, candy - the gym is stocked with apples and cold water bottles It's the most beautiful hotel I've stayed at to date - has a classic feel, and it is right by the water. Gorgeous in the spring/summer time. If you have a chance to order from the lounge menu, my favorites are the pigs in a blanket and the truffle grilled cheese - they make the ordinary stuff amazing!! It's really their attention to detail. This is one hotel that really understands the industry they are in. The only reason I have left them is to try and rack up some points at the corporate hotel chains, but I've tried that for 2 weeks, and I'm having second thoughts...

Yelp
This is my go-to hotel outside of the city for weekend getaways and to occasionally put my mother up for the night! As far as interior, it is definitely not the Ritz but the hospitality and quant, homey appeal is what makes me want to spend my weekends here! It is a very convenient location (right off of 95) and is sitting right on the harbor. Literally so stunning! They have great coffee in the morning and you can sit outside and take in the view or walk along the water. You are also a 5 minute walk to the Avenue where every shop you can think of is and if you do not feel like walking, the house car is great too! I have yet to try their spa but I've only heard amazing things.

Yelp
I had been stopping at this restaurant for many years. Great at all season. It has a great view of the marina. During the summer times has an outdoor seating dining area. I absolutely love it. It's great for a drink with a friend or with a group. Great service and great cuisine.

Yelp
Was told upon checkin that our room was upgraded to a harbor view room, but was not yet ready. Would we be willing to wait? Sure, of course. We were directed into the library to wait for housekeeping to finish. We had a $300 cruise booked to leave at 4:30 PM and the ?concierge came over to say it wouldn't be ready in time for us to go to the room before the cruise. Did not offer to hold our luggage like they did when we were offered the upgrade and told we would have to wait. Looking back, clearly they had someone arrive who wanted the promised room. Tried to talk us into the original room- but we are now in the "executive floor" which means ABSOLUTELY NOTHING except you get the added bonus of someone's blood on the wall in the bathroom. Told them about it in the way to the cruise. Did not offer to change the room but would we like it cleaned. I said no-didn't want anyone in my room since I had already COVID cleaned it. They entered anyway. We called from the boat to ask to please give us that room(which MUST be ready by now). When we arrived back at the hotel - well-shockingly- they gave it to someone else!! Are you freaking kidding me????? You made me WAIT for the upgraded room and then GAVE IT AWAY??? You are lucky to have jobs right now in this industry; pissing off well paying customers is NOT a good move. Well we return from the cruise- which, may I add, did not have my $300 bottle of wine on it as promised when we checked in. Boat had to go back for it since front desk dropped the ball. Clearly, since I did not pull up in a Lamborghini, my $619 isn't green enough for them. Blood splattered on the wall-DURING COVID???? Really??? I'm a healthcare professional and appalled at the "enhanced" cleaning process. All on our anniversary. Thanks a lot. I've stayed in many high end hotels and resorts and have NEVER been treated so subpar. Unless you like bathing in someone else's bodily fluids, and being treated like second class citizens, DO NOT RECOMMEND.

Yelp
Really the very best of Greenwich. The Delamar is a lovely luxury hotel in a classic waterfront setting. Very close to the Metro North stop.

Yelp
My wife and I stayed here back in November. The hotel is beautiful and is very luxurious. It's located right on the harbor and if you can get a room with a harbor view, it's absolutely stunning to wake up to. We didn't utilize too many of the ammenities but we did partake in the complimentary wine tasting that the hotel does every Saturday evening. Wine was good and served with crackers, cheeses, and nuts. We also decided to utilize the hotel's car service. I believe they limit rides to a 3 mile radius from the hotel but we felt it was sufficient for where we wanted to go. The non-executive level breakfast left more to be desired. In contrast, the executive level breakfast (essentially available to anyone staying on the top floor) is fantastic and has a much larger selection. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Everyone greeted us with a smile and was always respectful. I have to mention one staff member in particular. Oscar is one of the managers and he was a big reason why our stay was so enjoyable and why I am giving the Delamar in Greenwich 5 stars. From the start, before booking, Oscar went above and beyond to simply answer any questions I had. Then he worked with me to find a room within my budget and was there to greet my wife and I when we arrived. He provided the highest quality customer service to my wife and I during our stay.

Yelp
What can I say this is a beautiful location. From the marble floored bathroom to the fireplace and mini bar...the Delmar has done an exceptional job with separating itself from the rest. If you visit this location the spa is a must...the complete escape is all you need, 60 minutes of heaven If you're a bed person like myself you will not be disapponted. The staff has always been very accommodating. I will say it can be expensive so you will want to plan accordingly. Enjoy!

Yelp
Treated my son and his girlfriend to a weekend at the Delamar. They are not 21 so reserving a hotel room often can be a challenge. I spoke to the hotel manager who is extremely perceptive and said all they had to do was remove the minibar and sign a consent form. They are so close to the train station in the hotel offers complementary rides in their fleet of Tesla's!!! They also offer a complementary breakfast as well. I had several interactions with management to set up this weekend and I could not be more pleased with your exemplary customer service!

Yelp
We were celebrating valentines day at delamar. There was some miss communication with our booking agency and our rooms were cancelled. I had travelled for over 8 hours to get here. To make it up they provided us with a free room all paid up and for the next day Oscar upgraded us to a business suite which was just amazing. The suite was very beautiful and romantic with the harbour view. The property itself is very beautiful and our stay couldn't have been pleasant. I would definitely recommend this place and would be back someday.
