"After being closed for in-person service for almost a year, People’s Wine Bar on the Lower East Side is teaming up with its Market Line beer bar neighbor, The Grand Delancey, for a night of bar snacks and some curated wine. People’s Wine Bar is especially great if you’re looking to try something you’ve possibly never heard of - they’re always selling new bottles (you can check out their online shop here). Plus, a portion of the sales from the night benefit Welcome To Chinatown’s initiative to preserve Chinatown’s local businesses. Check out the pop-up on Thursday, April 8th from 4- 11pm, and book a table for indoor or outdoor service online here." - hannah albertine

Ben is retired and enjoying the good life, but it's still a family run business. The staff is super friendly, knowledgable, kind, and fun. If you're looking for the most unique liquor gifts look no further. Beautiful bottles and gifts. Great delivery service. Great selections. Truly beautiful gem in LES.

Ordered a bottle of Blanton's that I wasn't able to get locally. Package was shipped almost immediately and arrived only 2-3 days later. Excellent quality packaging, communication, and service. Highly recommend!

Google
Ordered a bottle of Knob Creek 18 I couldn’t find anywhere in my state. Price was the lowest I could find on the web and shipping was pretty quick. Bottle was very carefully packaged as well. Definitely recommend.

Dustin Brewer

Google
Great selection, friendly and helpful management, always get a quick and correct order from them.

Gee Zed

Google
Quite scammy. Delancey Wine offers extremely low prices on Uber Eats. We ordered, and an hour later Delancey Wine cancelled the order and offered other products. Reputable online platforms should not work with this Delancey Wine.

We are not into and know nothing about alcohol, but we were trying to buy one as a present when we visited our friends. We just searched alcohol shops with higher reviews and Delancey Wine popped up on the result. The staff was friendly and helped us make our decision. We believe the price wasn’t the lowest here, but our friends loved what we brought and it went perfectly with dinner.

Google
Great selection and quick shipping. Found a bottle of Midleton I was looking for. Got here in good shape and good time.

Google
Top spot all around. Super quick with delivery also (I order directly on their website). This is my go-to.

Yelp
Edit: they called back to assure me I'd get the refund and explained that the distributor gave them the wrong bottle. So the distributor must assume some of the blame here. But the store could have checked before sending it to me. Or called me as soon as they found out. Original review: This wine shop really dropped the ball on a special order I made. I searched specifically for the Pahlmeyer Chardonnay ($117.99) to bring home for Christmas. Google shows they have it in stock, but when I called on 12/19 to make sure, they said they don't have it and had to make a special order which would arrive in three days. I said ok and went ahead. But when the wine was delivered today, I found out that they sent me a different chardonnay from the same winery called Jayson, which appears to go for roughly $60 a bottle. When I called to tell them what happened, they were adamant that they were right and I was wrong. They gave me such an attitude. They said they ordered the Pahlmeyer and that's the bottle they got. They're telling me not to believe what I'm seeing right in front of my face. Completely irresponsible and unprofessional. They don't seem to understand that this is a bait and switch. The bottle they advertise online is not what they are delivering. Luckily they got the driver to come back and grant me a full refund, otherwise this rating would be lower. Completely wasted my time and I am extremely disappointed.

Yelp
Searched far and wide, around midtown Manhattan, for a new drink and came up empty. It is a peanut butter and banana whiskey called, Dirty Monkey. I finally found a location that carried it.... Delancey Wine. The liquor store is clean and the attendant was very cordial and helpful. As far as the drink is concerned, I'm writing this review after the taste test. I really enjoy how every ingredient creates a suttle spiciness that makes this drink a great after dinner drink or a relaxing nightcap. Highly recommended. Thank you, Delancey Wine, for carrying Dirty Monkey. From now on, I'll check with you first, when looking for hard to find items. Please, do the same and enjoy your libation(s).

Yelp
Delancey Wine offered low prices for Champagne. We ordered, and instead of receiving our Champagne, an hour later Delancey Wine cancelled the order and offered other products. Reputable online platforms should not work with this Delancey Wine.

Yelp
There's something amazing about a city that lets you order wine online and has it at your door in like 15 minutes, for free! Seriously, this was faster than Jimmy Johns and the bottles were priced pretty much the same as I pay at home.

Yelp
Great place to shop for vino etc in the LES...owner and staff are always friendly and helpful... Been here so many times and especially since they moved from the prior spot to this larger location. Very convenient and has a large variety of wine, champagne, spirits, sake, etc to choose from.

Curtis C.

Yelp
Great service. Good stock. Know your stuff before you go because it can confuse you a bit. You mind a jewel you won't find in other stores.

Sylvia P.

Yelp
Nice selection (including tons that are chilled and ready to go in their fridge!) at decent prices with super friendly and helpful staff. Like others have said, no, it ain't TJs prices but the wines and liquors are reasonably priced, plus, shop local! And unlike another nearby spot, the owner doesn't ignore you for his cell when you walk into an empty friggin shop... There's even dog treats for your furry sober friends, and a ton of the mini-airplane bottles for drinking on the go or sly (if we ever get back to those days), though these days, bulk-stock up mode probably is for the best! -_-

Erin C.

Yelp
A great place to stop by before going to a rooftop house party. Selection is the best in the neighborhood after stopping in several bodegas and even Rite-Aid and a grocery store before landing here. Prices are reasonable as well. I will definitely be coming back. Minimum $10 credit card

Yelp
This is my go to wine shop in the city. The guy working is very knowledgeable about wine and have given me great recommendations! Very diverse selection among other drinks as well. This place is always very clean and friendly and they do delivery as well. Five stars all around!

Jossie R.

Yelp
This is my go to spot!! I order online through Drizzly and also my go to neighborhood liquor store for the great prices and awesome wine options! Customer service is always superb and helpful! If you are in Chinatown/lower manhattan please visit them!!

Erika L.

Yelp
Solid wine store in the area. A good variety of wines (and some liquors). The prices are reasonable, not the cheapest, but not outrageous. Very happy to pay the price for the convenience and selection.the staff and owner are also reasonably friendly and helpful without being effusive.

Ashleigh W.

Yelp
Delancy Wine moved a few stores up the block, so I popped in to check it out and pick up a bottle. The new store is lovely, and as usual, the owner was so helpful. He picked out a smooth, easy-to-drink (not to mention, inexpensive) bottle of Cantina Zaccagnini Montepulciano d'Abruzzo, when I walked in and said, "Umm, my date wants an 'old-world red' maybe something Italian??" You'll be happy to hear, my date and I both loved it! It's always a pleasure doing business with this shop.

Sean T.

Yelp
If you're looking for a wide variety of liquors from tequilas to vodka, to whiskey then you're in for a treat. Delancey Wine has a good amount of variety on all types of liquors at a fairly decent price. They even have a decent wine and soju/sake collection in the back. I frequent this place a lot and the owners are super friendly as well.

Julia W.

Yelp
This place has absurdly absurdly fast delivery. I don't know how they do it? When I order delivery sometimes I time them just to be amazed at how fast it comes. From the time I place the order to when it gets to my house is sometimes 8 minutes. I live 12 blocks away, so close, but not too close??? It's WILD. Anyway thank you to this amazing shop

Chen Z.

Yelp
Great place to grab your bottle of wine and a small selection of liquor. They owners know their wine! They were helpful in helping us pick out our bottle of wine.

Shawn H.

Yelp
Great selection of international wines and spirits! They were the only place that had eagle rare and a few other hard to find whiskies. You'll pay a few dollars more for the convenience over bigger stores, but that's common for all small retailers.

Dallas S.

Yelp
Great business and great owners. They have a solid selection and they care about their customers too.

Christopher I.

Yelp
There's a place on Allen and Delancey called Wing Tak liquors. It's a basement shop where you get your booze through a cage. They have some 60 wines in stock. Delancey Wine, on the other hand, looks like a bona fide wine shop. But you don't get the idea the selection is curated any more than Wing Tak's. There are wines whose names you'll recognize, because you usually pass them over in search of something more interesting. And the biggest problem with Delancey Wine is the steep price tag on all the bottles. Sure, it's a small neighborhood shop, and I don't expect it to compete with Astor Wines price-wise. But I feel ripped off every time I shop here. For a much more satisfying (and more or less equally priced) wine shopping experience, head up to September Wines on Ludlow.

A R.

Yelp
Deeply disappointed. 90% of these wines are cheap swill marked up by a good $2-$7. Owners/employees know zilch about wine. If you are a real wine lover don't even bother walking over here. I've seen better selection at wine stores with bullet proof glass. The lady working there also caught me scanning a bottle on Vivino (to see how well it's rated) and quickly told me not to take pictures of the prices... wonder why.

James G.

Yelp
I highly recommend Delancey Wine- they have a fine selection of wines and although more narrow, a perfectly adequate array of liqueurs including Tito's Vodka. Their new location is clean and well arranged. The staff is a perfect combination of professional, friendly & helpful. The best part- they deliver! - ask for a menu- it's beyond helpful- The delivery fellow is prompt- and this may sound weird- but is he's kind as well.

Corinne F.

Yelp
This place has become my second home :). While I can't particularly comment on the selection seeing as I always buy the same two items (which I routinely buy them out of) (Barefoot Pinot Grigio and Villa Jolanda Prosecco - highly recommend), I love this place!! It is clean and newly renovated - gorgeous!!! I've also recently started using their delivery services. Delivery is always fast and honestly life changing (especially in the winter months). Also love all of the employees who I imagine to be a happy family. Give Delancey Wine a try!

JP B.

Yelp
This neighborhood newcomer carries a small selection comprised mainly of the usual suspects, large commercial brands we recognize such as Kendall Jackson, Yellowtail, Alice White and the like. Not at all an inspired selection at the moment, but maybe that will change as they gear up; they've only been open a week or so. The small selection of spirits is no more interesting. This is not a place to find anything special, so I'd rate their selection as warranting only two stars. Having said that, the layout of this tiny shop is fine, the staff are nice, under $10 bottles are well represented and delivery is free. I'd love to give them an extra star for that, but can't. The place is like a nice picture frame with a stock photo in it; all unrealized potential. Here's hoping they realize it.

Karter K.

Yelp
Don't call yourself a fine wine & spirits store when you sell Carlos Rossi Jug wine and Georgi Vodka pints behind the counter. The stock of the store is boring and unimaginative. In a time where there are so many wineries and vineyards churning out new and exciting wines, why stock Kendall Jackson and Yellowtail? They obviously lack someone who knows wines or the retail aspect of it as well. They could be so much more if they just realized the potential. Heres to hoping they realize it soon or the reputation will preceed them.

Victoria L.

Yelp
Convenient wine shop in the area. The woman is really unhelpful and could care less.

Andy L.

Yelp
this place is local and awesome they stay open longer than most liquor stores till 9 they have sales all the time and a great selection of wines !

John B.

Yelp
Stopped here after a nice dinner and found the selection diverse and the prices reasonable. The man behind the counter was quiet but helpful. We settled on a nice red that was the great end to a busy day walking, riding, and even a quick dip in the Central Park water.

Charlie A.

Yelp
Honestly, this cute little place is one of the least offensive wine stores I've been to. Sure, it's no Trader Joe's wine shop as far as prices and selection goes, but the prices are honestly not bad (and there's a whole section of wines under $10, so go straight there and stop complaining!). They also pump the A/C way up, which is super welcome in July.

trudy c.

Yelp
unpretentious shop. super friendly owner (who rewards loyalty with unprompted discounts). reasonable selection at a reasonable price. you'll find a decent bottle to take on a picnic, drink on a rooftop or bring to your dinner party. selection of liquor is quite nice actually and getting better every day. prompt delivery too!

Roy S.

Yelp
Knowledgeable staff. Was able to recommend and awesome wine with the criteria I gave him, taking price range into account. They even had plum wine yum.

Steven P.

Yelp
I must say, when I first went into this store a couple of months ago, I didn't see it as anything special or for that matter, worth returning to. However I am pleased to say that the store has grown quite well and now has a pleasing variety of wines. My favorite reason to return here is the fact that not only is it one of the few stores in the area that doesn't surround you in bullet-proof glass the moment you step foot in it, but it doesn't have the look or feel of an old wooden shack either. The place radiates a pleasant and welcoming environment. Although the pricing can be spotty sometimes with a few wines somewhat overpriced, there are a large number of great bargains for the area. You will definitely be able to find a great bottle of wine from $10 - $20. Looking to spend less? Their selection of wines under $10 isn't spectacular, but there is a decent variety and worth checking out. The staff was very accommodating and pleasant to chat with...which is more than I can say for a couple of other stores in the area. P.S. - My favorite thing about this store....free delivery within the area!

Jamaal Y.

Yelp
There are some haters in this world and apparently they're on this review, too. How can you not love this place? First of all, they were open till 10am on Thanksgiving, which meant the wine didn't have to stop flowing on one of my fave holidays. Second, they'll deliver a single bottle of whatever your heart desires, unlike many places where you have to order a whole case of wine. And third, the staff is super nice. It's a real gem in this neighborhood and worth the extra dollar you might spend on a bottle.

Sarah O.

Yelp
This wine shop is clean, convenient, and has a large variety of wines under $10. The stock is surprisingly big for a small store and represents most major wine regions and grapes. The prices are not bad - more expensive than say Trader Joes Wine Shop, but they easily have 30+ wines that are under $10. All in all, a solid place with a solid wine collection.
