Delaney Chicken Has Closed in Midtown - Eater NY

"Videographer-turned-acclaimed-restaurateur Daniel Delaney’s fried chicken spinoff Delaney Chicken is no more. The popular food hall vendor in UrbanSpace Vanderbilt has closed after nearly three years in Midtown — leaving Delaney without a restaurant in New York." - Serena Dai

If you're looking for a solid chicken sandwich, look no further. The chicken sandwiches here are so simple yet absolutely delicious. The chicken is incredibly tender and moist, and they FILL your sandwich with chicken so you won't be saddened by a chicken-less bite of your sandwich, same applies to the bacon in the sandwich if you opt for the club! I personally don't like mayo or pickles so we didn't opt for those in our Chicken Club Sandwich. Even with our sandwich just being chicken, lettuce and bacon, this sandwich packed so much into so little. You really won't be disappointed with their chicken here! Would highly recommend this place for anyone who's looking to grab a quick bite, specifically looking for chicken!

Got the Spicier Chicken Sandwich which has jalapenos, havarti and a spicy mayo. Great crispiness, and good heat. Could have done without the havarti. They really stack some chicken in there, so if you're a bang for your buck type person, you'll be happy...although if you like to take normal sized bites without needing to stretch your mouth out, it might be a slight bother. Overall was very happy with it!

Spicier chicken sandwich is a home run. It's what I was here for, and what I will come back for. Simple, large, DELICIOUS. A+.

Delicious spicy fried chicken sandwich. Quick and awesome chicken. Wish the bun was a little less generic but worth a stop!

The spicier chicken sandwich is literally the best chicken sandwich I've ever had.

Super nice chicken burger with spicy pickles, meat was tender not dry. Small stall located in urban space food market behind grand central station.

Situated in the Vanderbilt food hall in Grand Central Terminal Delaney Chicken adds a great option to the food hall. Proprietor Daniel Delaney has put together a great recipe for fried chicken. They serve two types here a regular fried chicken and a chicken sandwich. The chicken sandwich is the stand out here. Fried up perfectly with a moist tender and juicy chicken inside, the chicken is in a potato roll and the added options of honey and hot sauce really make for a great chicken sandwich. Service is good by ordering at the cashier and stepping over to the left to watch your chicken or chicken sandwich prepared through the window and be picked up at the pick up window. Love the old style diner uniforms of the workers as well to match the theme.

I've been trying the fried chicken sandwiches in a few places lately. This one was by far the best I've had. The crunch factor is outstanding. The standard condiments are the perfect combination in the right proportion. Don't mess with it.
