San Francisco Restaurant Delarosa Sets Its Sights on Palo Alto Expansion | Eater SF

"The Back of the House group is expanding its pizzeria brand into the Stanford Shopping Center by taking over a former California Pizza Kitchen location, according to permit applications pulled by the San Francisco Business Times. This will be the fourth outlet for the pizza concept, which already has spots in the Marina, SoMa, and San Ramon." - Dianne de Guzman

What a great place to enjoy a lovely meal. There’s a variety of seating options, both inside and outside. The staff were friendly and attentive. The menu has a good variety of options with clearly labeled vegan, vegetarian and gluten free items. All of the food, including appetizers, entrees and desserts were fresh and tasty. The pizza could be a bit crisper, but it was still delicious. The tiramisu was the best I’ve had in a very long time. The only minor drawback is the acoustics, as it was hard to have a conversation with the higher noise level. Also, there is plenty of parking available in the multilevel parking lot for this shopping center.

Delarosa def has a vibe! Make a reservation if you have a group, we were a group of 5 and had a reservation. We were seated immediately. The outdoor dining is chill, they have heaters for when it gets cooler. The indoor dining atmosphere is great with the large windows. It felt like they had the AC running prob on high because it was cold and i could feel the air blowing down on us. I asked if it can be lowered, but our server said he was sweating, ok. In that case bring a sweater if you eat inside. Our group ordered a selection of items, Fritto Misto (5/5), beet salad (4/5), cheese pizza (5/5), Margherita pizza with burrata (6/5), Penne (4/5) & Ravioli (2/5 because pumpkin no thanks). I think the best item was the pizza, the dough was crunchy, the sauce was tangy, the burrata was creamy and the basil was fresh. Food was average, the pastas could've been hotter too. As for the service, our server could work on his (2.5/5). He brought us water, took our order, left, someone else brought our drinks (bar), our food came, we ate, but our server didn't check on us until we were done. He did walk by us several times to check other guests in the outdoor seating. He did bring our really quite quickly. Maybe he is a great server, but def not with us. Never judge a book by its cover. Bathrooms were decent, all gender. I'd come back for the atmosphere, just to chill, have a few drinks and pizza.

This restaurant has great vibes in a trendy place. The portions are decent, and the service is incredible. The Gnocchi is great with a strong garlic taste. The bruschetta was a little disappointing, though, because there were only two pieces.

Delarosa – Bishop Ranch (San Ramon, CA) My Honest Experience Delarosa offers high-quality Roman-style pizza, solid cocktails, and a sleek, modern vibe that’s great for a night out or lunch after shopping. The food definitely lived up to the hype—crispy thin-crust pizzas, flavorful small plates like meatballs and bruschetta, and a lively atmosphere. But… 👎 First Impressions Matter Unfortunately, the hostess/reception wasn’t welcoming. We didn’t feel greeted with warmth or respect, which was disappointing, especially at a place that presents itself as stylish and guest-focused. A smile or basic courtesy goes a long way—and that part was clearly missing. ⸻ 🍕 What We Loved: • Prosciutto Pizza: Perfectly crisp, rich flavor without being heavy. • Cocktails: Well-crafted and strong—especially the Marco Polo. • Atmosphere: Trendy, energetic setting with outdoor seating. Great for groups or casual dates. ⸻ 👎 What Could Improve: • Front Desk Attitude: A cold reception can ruin the mood before you’re even seated. • Seating: Mostly high-top or communal tables—not the most comfortable if you’re hoping to relax. ⸻ Would I Go Back? Yes—for the food. But I’d hope the staff, especially up front, could match the quality of what’s coming out of the kitchen.

0 STARS!!! STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!!! Staff and specifically the manager (geoffrey p.) do not know how to run a restaurant! Had a reservation for INSIDE seating on a Friday night for 7pm. Manager tried to come up with an excuse that our reservation was for OUTSIDE seating when we specifically called in for a reservation the day before for inside seating. There were multiple tables inside that were completely empty but the manager refused to seat us inside and said we could either sit outside or wait in line for an inside seat. Do not come here if you want to enjoy your evening. Manager absolutely has no idea what he's doing!! I have never been given so many excuses from a restaurant manager when we had a specific reservation. He did not try to serve us at all and escalated the problem rather than trying to fix it. Save your time and avoid this restaurant (& manager) at all costs! (See photo of empty table inside that manager refused to seat us at)

We ate at DelaRosa and it was all delicious!! We spent a lot of time in the courtyard with my aunties, uncle ,cousin, my mom, and brother. It's a really beautiful place to just chill and people watch here. A great place for good vibes and live music. ❤️✨️🤌 Oh yeah, and we got some Boba Guys!!

Delarosa in San Ramon is a gem, especially if you’ve got kids in tow. Conveniently located in City Center Bishop Ranch, it’s the perfect spot to grab dinner and let the little ones play. The outdoor seating is a huge win—right next to the kids’ play area, so parents can relax and still keep an eye out. We ordered the gluten-free Margherita pizza and it did not disappoint—crispy crust, fresh ingredients, full of flavor. The spinach and ricotta ravioli was just as good, rich and satisfying without being too heavy. It’s a great pick for a laid-back evening. Good food, family-friendly vibes, and the option to stroll around the beautiful City Center after dinner make it an easy 5 stars.

Tried Delarosa for the first time and the food was really good. I would love to give a 5 but im just not the 5 girl. I will say they have a unique but delicious menu. Very authentic flavor. The pizza was good. I ordered the penne pasta and asked for it spicy and it did not disappoint. Plenty of meat and flavor. Their meatballs are delicious so good they dont need spaghetti. I forgot to take the picture before we cleaned the plate but they were so good. I captured it on the back end. The crust was good and fresh and flavorful almost buttery and excellent on toppings. The drinks, the desserts, the service was excellent. The service was excellent from Joe the Assistant GM. My team liked the desserts as well. The Italian donuts and the tiramisu were both a hit. They have a full bar and drink menu.

Yelp
I've been here many times for my weekday lunch break and have enjoyed the food and service every time. Last Wednesday, I went there for lunch again and tried the Roasted Beet Salad. It was so delicious that it inspired me to ask for the recipe. Our waiter, Eddie, patiently shared the ingredients and explained how to cook farro (one of the ingredients I first ever known) at home. It's not every day that you meet someone so genuinely passionate about the food they serve. His attentiveness and willingness to share his knowledge really elevated the entire experience and is a testament to the wonderful staff here.

Quynh T.

Yelp
Eddie was great, food was good, ambiance was good, everything came fast, what else can you ask for?

Nancy J.

Yelp
Eddie W our server was great and food was yummy! The ambiance is really nice too. I would definitely eat her again.

Yelp
This spot is on the lower level of the Bishop Ranch shopping center. It's really cute inside with warm red-orange lighting. Definitely a family-friendly place being close to the community play area means it can get a little loud, but that's expected. The food was good! The bruschetta and roasted beet salad was our favorites (no photo because it disappeared fast). The pasta was our least favorite. It wasn't bad, just tasted like something from the freezer section. The pizzas were great, and the drinks were tasty, though I did question if there was much alcohol in them. I had to send back my first one (a sangria) because it tasted watered down, like it had been sitting out too long. Service was fine--nothing stood out good or bad. Overall, I really enjoyed the food and the atmosphere and will definitely be back.

Yelp
We came on a Wednesday at 11:30 am. No problem getting a parking spot in the garage. Delarosa has lots of seating, inside and out. Our girlfriend told us to order the Brushetta. A toasted baguette, burrata, honey, with roasted hazelnut. I recommend it! We also had the Mushroom and Onion pizza and added Sausage. It was the perfect size for two of us to share. The Sevice was perfectly timed. Our waiter was good. I think he said his name was Thomas? We will be back.

Yelp
We dined in for our mid week dinner. They are kid friendly and have a whole menu designed for toddlers/kids Margherita pizza with burrata 10/10 The crust was light and cooked well. The Burrata added a layer of creaminess. It was a great pizza. Penne portobello pasta 7/10 I was expecting more chicken and sausage than a few pieces. The cream sauce was flavorful. Overall the pasta was cooked to perfection and the flavors really went well together Kids butter pasta 10/10. Nothing fancy just pasta and butter and my baby enjoyed his meal. Service was excellent! All the food came out quickly!

Yelp
We came on a Friday night. We made reservations in advance. This place does get busy. They have a pretty big dining area and an option to dine outside. Our server is friendly and recommended some dishes to us. I ordered the penne pasta. The pasta was ok. I thought there was not enough sauce. We ordered a margherita pizza for the table. That was pretty good. My friend ordered the ravioli, but it was pretty small. There were about 5-6 raviolis, it did not fill him up. He was still hungry. My husband ordered frutti di mare. He didn't really like it. It was bland and most of the clams did not open. Not fresh. We decided to try Delarosa, based on the good reviews. Our experience was not great. It was a little disappointing.

Yelp
Casual Italian eatery known for their Roman-style pizza! I had to look that up and it just means thinner & crispier, which I'm a total fan of. Sis & I just left Yelp's 20th Anniversary String Fling event at the San Ramon Community Center and wanted dinner. Turns out Dumpling Time closed down so we considered our options. I didn't really want Marugame since it was a warm night for soup. Pizza is a go-to and they had pasta. Delarosa it is! The patient hostess asked if I had a reservation and quoted a 30-40 min wait, which we were fine with. I got a text within 15 min so that was nice. My name was already in their system once I provided my phone number, must be an OpenTable reservation thing. We were seated outdoors as preferred. It was a bit stuffy and loud inside. Beautiful night with lots of families out and about. Hamid was our waiter and he complimented me on my apparently perfect pronunciation of bruschetta & prosciutto di parma. He asked if I was Italian! Haha nope but thank you! Service was excellent from him and all staff members. Eats: *Bruschetta (pronounced broos-ketta not bru-shetta) *Kale & Romaine Caesar *Lobster Ravioli *Prosciutto di Parma Pizza One bite of the bruschetta topped with creamy burrata cheese, fresh tomato, & basil made our eyes go wide with amazement! Get this! Kale Caesar was a great way to get our greens. Sis liked the croutons. Lobster ravioli had a lovely cream sauce that I ended up dipping the pizza crust in. Pizza-- chef's kiss! Soft, chewy thin crust with melted cheese, salty prosciutto, fresh arugula, and shaved parmigiano reggiano. Red pepper flakes optional Can't wait to dine here again!

Yelp
First time at Delarosa! I've passed by this place so many times back when I used to walk to work in the city, so it was about time I finally tried it. Another birthday celebration for one of my friends -- she was craving Italian, and we ended up at their San Ramon location. We ordered a lot (as usual ) and honestly, everything was really good! Definitely recommend it for families -- great food, nice vibes, and budget-friendly too.

Yelp
My partner and I were in the San Ramon shopping complex and eventually wanted to grab dinner. Instead of driving off we decided to give Delarosa a try, as I'd enjoyed it in SF in the past. We had an enjoyable, satisfying experience! Good food, standout drinks, and really pleasant service made it a solid experience for us. ---- Food ---- We got the bartender's special pizza, meatballs, grilled steak spiedini (skewer), and romaine and kale caesar salad. We also got three cocktails. The pizza was delicious and absolutely a highlight. You should definitely get at least one pizza when dining here. The burrata, spice, sauce, and sausage all came together perfectly on ours. The meatballs were fine and not memorable. They'll get the job done as an appetizer, but nothing more. They come with two meatballs and two pieces of toasted bread. The steak skewer was yummy, nicely seasoned. The kale and potatoes -- mixed with steak juices -- was delicious! Recommended. The salad was fresh and tasty. The kale mix made it feel a bit elevated. Also recommended to cut through the savory options. ---- Drinks ---- Surprisingly, the drinks were the star of the evening. We got the Oaxacan Negroni, Marco Polo, and Rye Ember. They were all simple but well-balanced, tasty, and priced well. The Oaxacan Negroni was solid, delicious. Recommended The Marco Polo was a fruity cocktail that actually had dimension with some nice complexity and balance. Yummy The Rye Ember stood out as the most complex and best of the night for me ---- Environment and Location ---- It's loud, though we sat in one of the quieter spots. Expect some noise, but nothing extreme. Location is convenient and feels safe in the San Ramon complex. ---- Service ---- From the start, the hostess was friendly and accommodating. She seated us early and gave us our preferred spot. Hamid was a fantastic server -- professional, helpful, and gave strong recommendations. ---- Cost ---- Food prices felt average. Although, the drinks were high value, fantastic for the price. ---- Notes and Tips ---- Make a reservation, though it wasn't too busy at 8pm. Noise level is on the louder side, so be prepared. ---- Overall ---- Safe choice for a tasty, pleasant spot for a meal and drinks, especially for this shopping complex! Noise aside, it hits the mark on food, drinks, and value. If I wanted a nearby bite in the area again, it would be one of my top options.

Yelp
Came here on a Wednesday evening with my friend. We came at 6pm and got seated right away. It started to fill up around 6:30pm. Service and Staff: - Our waitress was helpful with recommendations for dessert and drinks - Food came out pretty quickly (not super fast, but in a good amount of time) Food and Drinks: - Margarita: refreshing and tasty - Margherita Pizza with Burrata: forgot to take a photo of my pizza! The burrata was a really nice touch to the pizza. Pizzas come with 6 slices - Coppa Mela: seasonal dessert. Plenty of nice cream and apple pie bits and pieces (was very full after this) Miscellaneous: - Indoor and outdoor seating available - Plenty of parking available via shared parking lot surrounding the area - Happy hour available until 5:00pm

Yelp
Absolutely love this place!! I've been here a few times now and have never had less than a great experience. Most recently, I came here for an early dinner with a friend on a Tuesday night. We came in at 530pm, no reservation but was seated right away. It was semi busy at that time, but definitely got busier after 6pm. We ordered drinks, the white peach sangria and a margarita - both incredible! We had the fritto misto (calamari) to start, it's one of the best calamari dishes I've had! Our entrees were the penne portobello pasta and the margherita burrata pizza (my mouth is drooling just thinking about it!!). We ended with an affogato and a coppa mela. Our server was great! She provided great recommendations and was patient with us - we kept yapping and took a while to decide what to eat. The ambiance was chill, relaxing and casual. An overall great experience!

Yelp
One of the best Italian meals I've had in a long time. My sister recently moved to San Ramon and suggested this spot so we could walk around and shop afterward. I wasn't too excited at first because I wanted Bamboo Sushi, which happened to be directly across from this place. I was outvoted and decided to go with it--I'm sure glad I did! Our server was amazing; she was personable and handled our party of seven graciously, all with a smile. For starters, we ordered two bruschetta appetizers and the crab arancini. Both were excellent--the dipping sauce for the crab made for a perfect match! For some reason, everyone ordered their own personal pizza. I, on the other hand, chose the grilled steak Spiedini skewers. That steak was delectable--melted in my mouth and cooked to perfection! The sides all complemented each other so well; I couldn't be happier. I definitely had a slice of everyone's pizza, but there was no room left for dessert. Overall, it was a fantastic choice for the family! I still think about this place and look forward to my next visit.

Yelp
Had such an amazing dinner and dessert with my best friend. The food was so good! I always go to this location when I'm visiting! The staff is always nice and gives the best service. I can't wait to go back.

Yelp
Excellent indoor and outdoor seatings for large families and couples on dates. Situated nicely in Bishop Ranch. Staff is always friendly. We love to order one appetizer (Caesar salad), a pasta to share and a fennel sausage pizza. It's the perfect evening outing. Delicious, carbs but not heavy. Love their cafe latte (seems to be made with Italian style espresso), tiramisu dessert, and good selection of drinks alcoholic and non alcoholic (Mexican coke and sprite).

Yelp
went on a saturday night and it was pretty busy, we only waited about 10 minutes to get seated though. lots of parking in the plaza. interior is cute, but we got seated outside. lots of kids running around in general if you're thinking about coming for a date night - bartenders pizza (3.5/5): really thin which i liked, but also made it fall apart easily when held. the tomato felt fresh and i loved the burrata and sausage. also was not sliced evenly - pesto gnocchi (2.5/5): gnocchi felt gummy and dense hence the low rating. pesto itself was not bad, but on the oilier side. acidity from the tomatoes balanced the dish out nicely overall, cute vibes but pricey mid food. probably wouldn't go back
google avatar

Michelle T.

Yelp
The panini was my favorite but they stop serving them at 3pm. Thank God we arrived at 2:50! Were sat down immediately and asked to put in the order right away. Staff was very accommodating. I also really enjoyed the sangria and bruschetta! The pizza was good but not necessarily memorable.
google avatar

Jia M.

Yelp
Got the chicken panini with caesar salad. The bread was crunchy but the chicken was a bit dry. Had to order marinara on the side as a dipping sauce. This is located in the City Center, so parking can get hectic as it gets busy.

Yelp
Had a great experience at Delarosa. Pizza was perfect, staff attentive, and they had an amazing seasonal cocktail with pumpkin! Delarosa is our go to Italian in San Ramon.

Yelp
Pizza, Pasta, Points = Delarosa Is a Triple Threat! This Italian gem in Bishop Ranch is an absolute must-visit. Between the brick oven pizzas, homemade pastas, and the fact that it earns you Rakuten points--you've got a triple hitter on your hands! We kicked things off with the arugula salad--light, peppery, and always a solid start. My dad went with the salmon panini, and I gotta admit, it exceeded expectations. He loved it, and it was smoked to perfection. The seafood pasta is a go-to for us (we're seafood lovers through and through), but the real indulgence was the lobster ravioli. That buttery, creamy sauce? Next-level delicious. Yeah, it's on the pricier side, but come on--it's lobster. You know what you're getting into, and it's worth every bite. I think lol. But the Bartender's Pizza--THAT was the showstopper. I think I tried burrata for the first time on that slice of heaven and my mind was blown. That creamy cheese sauce just melted in and took it to another level. We came back for it again... and they were sold out. I was legit heartbroken. It's that good. The ambiance is spacious, open, and plenty of seats. Little Italy here we come. There are plenty of spots around here, but let's be real: we go where the points are--and Delarosa delivers on food and flavor. Bookmark this one.

Yelp
WARNING! This is our experience during a July 25 Smooth Jazz Series show. Disappointing Experience - Misleading Policies & Poor Event Execution We attended Delarosa yesterday specifically for a special summer Jazz event, having made reservations for a table with the understanding that it required ordering from a $70 prix fixe menu (plus 4% benefits, tax, and 20% gratuity). We were explicitly told beforehand that only two prix fixe orders were required per party, and the rest of the group could order à la carte from the regular menu. Unfortunately, this policy was not honored. Each person in our party was forced to order and pay individually for the prix fixe menu--something we neither expected nor agreed to. We raised our concerns with two different managers, but neither offered any resolution or assistance. Their lack of responsiveness only added to the frustration. To make matters worse, the entire dining experience during the Jazz performance was extremely diminished by poor crowd management. Despite being seated at a reserved table intended for premium views of the show, our view of the stage was completely blocked by non-diners who stood directly in front of the restaurant's tables. This went on for the entirety of the performance. Other patrons around us who also had reserved tables were equally frustrated. Some even had to take matters into their own hands by politely asking the crowd to move, which should have been handled by the business or event security--not by paying guests who had reserved and paid a premium for the experience. Please see attached pics of our bill and crowd which became worse throughout the show. The whole evening felt like a bait-and-switch, with unclear policies, unhelpful staff, and zero regard for customer experience. We could have watched the show for free from the general area without the steep cost and stress! Definitely not worth it and we won't ever be returning even for casual dining!

Yelp
We ordered delivery (via third party app) so this review is for the food only. The pizza is amazing!!! I recommend the burrata margherita- 11/10! My mouth is watering just thinking about it. The grilled steak skewer dish was very good as well, but not the largest portion of steak. I am excited to try more on the menu but I definitely plan on getting the burrata margherita pizza again very soon!
google avatar

Rudy D.

Yelp
Calamari, pizza, garlic bread and cocktails were all delicious. Only downfall is my wife ordered chicken and it never came, we then asked the server if the chicken was coming out if not then it was okay to not worry about it, they didn't put in the chicken order. Besides that good place and right in the center of the plaza.
google avatar

Jamee S.

Yelp
Came here for Happy Hour! Not too bad. They had a limited selection of drinks and small bites (perfect for 2 people sharing but you have to get a couple of things): We ordered: Calamari - small portion and was pretty good. Fried Cauliflower - yummy and flavorful Burrata - two pieces of toast. It's was okay. Sangria was good! Service was easy and breezy. It was nice to sit outside because the weather was spring like.

Bridget S.

Yelp
The seasonal cocktail with pumpkin is a must try!! Recommend it before it's too late and wish I grabbed a photo of it. It was second time coming t Delarosa and I am so impressed with the quality of food and great customer service. The manager, Geff stopped by to say hello as well which is always welcoming. There's always a decent amount of people here which is a good sign. My boyfriend and I ordered the bruschetta and romaine salad (with shredded parmesan on top) as an appetizer which was perfect for sharing. Very delicious and the perfect amount of dressing on the salad. For my main I got the linguine gamberi and the shrimp was perfect in there. It was flavorful with the olives and the pasta was al dente which I loved. Making this a regular date night spot!

Yelp
I already knew and loved delarosa from having been to one of the locations in SF a couple times. My brother and I came in for lunch right when they opened so we had the place to ourselves. We sat at the bar and got some foccacia to start. My brother got a pasta dish and I opted to build my own pizza. I was gonna keep it simple with pepperoni, but last minute I decided to add burrata because you know... burrata. While I'd rather more toppings than less, the amount of burrata was insane on this pizza. It was tasty but it was like burrata soup. The mess it made was almost comical, but I will say it was still delicious.
google avatar

Jane K.

Yelp
Came here as it was recommended by Rakuten for in dining points. 5x the points was a no brainer especially with an Amex gold card at 4x. So lunch was worth 9x points. We've been going to places that benefit double dipping on the points. If you're gonna eat, it might as well give you tons of points and use those for traveling! This place was a hit! Great Italian and even better pizza! The bartenders pizza was the showstopper. The chilis and that creamy white sauce was omg! Service was great! Food came out pretty quick! And the ambiance was a nice chill and relaxing vibe. Dinner scored us a 1000 points. We'll def be coming back here!

Yelp
Solid pizza place with beer selection right on the edge of the play area at Bishop Ranch City Center. Perfect to grab a pizza with friends and catch up while watching your kiddos run around on the splash pad or grassy knoll area. Food is great and the service is solid. Prices are definitely a bit on the higher side, but not unreasonable. Pizza selection is great - the prosciutto pizza was solid and recommended. If the weather is nice, seating outside is perfect and relaxing. Plenty of indoor space as well if you're looking for a more quiet/secluded area to catch up w/ friends and family. Recommended.

Yelp
I wanted to try some place that I haven't been eaten at the Bishop Ranch Center. This was one of a couple that made the short list. I had the pappardelle with ice tea. The drink came first followed shortly the pasta. The tomato sauce had the tangy tomato flavor but I found the pasta a bit short of al dente. Other this dish was good. The server was friendly and pleasant but his attention was divided by a number of diners he was supported. For my first visit, it was a pleasant experience surrounded by nice warm weather sitting on an outside table.
google avatar

Yelp
First time trying this place and we're absolutely satisfied. We also ordered Fritto Misto but didn't get to take a picture. It was good but a little too salty for me and my husband thus I gave 4 stars. The pasta was heaven! One of the greatest pasta I've had. I'm very picky with pasta and this is the absolute best. The steak skewer is also great. My husband loved it. I love the flavor of it. Something different and vibrant. The service was also quick and our server is very sweet and attentive to us. Will definitely go back and recommend this place! We need to try more of their food menu. The ambience of the place is nice, cozy but it was really cold inside. We didn't mind it.

Yelp
Beautiful cappuccino art done by our talented waitress Siew! Definitely visit her and she'll make you something special!

Yelp
First time here and only came for apps! Seating on a Wednesday evening was quick. The staff were attentive and nice, had no issues. I tried the calamari which was good! The sauces it came with were also a good addition (although I got carried away and didn't even think to look or ask what the sauces were!) The broccolini was my favorite! It was perfectly cooked and had the best garlic taste. The cauliflower was also delicious! Can't go wrong with any of those apps!

Yelp
From the moment I stepped through the door until the moment I left, Jae (the manager) was absolutely phenomenal. She radiates such a bright, positive energy that instantly makes you feel welcomed and valued. Not only did she break down the menu with such detail that I swear I could almost taste the dishes as she described them, but she also went above and beyond to make sure we never wanted for a thing. Truly first-class hospitality. Our server, Jenny, was just as impressive. She was warm, attentive, and incredibly patient--especially with my girlfriend, who usually struggles to decide what to order. Jenny guided her through the options with ease, and by the end of the night, my girlfriend was thrilled with her choice and couldn't stop raving about it. I honestly just had to shout out both Jae and Jenny for making the entire experience stand out. They didn't just provide service; they created an atmosphere that made us feel taken care of from start to finish. Absolute stars!

Based on 1 lunch visit: Not bad! Not the best I've ever had. Fine if you're in the area, hungry, and need to find a spot right away. Caesar salad was just ok. Lacking flavor. Pizza was fine. Arancini was good. No "wow" factor for me. But ambience was nice. Felt clean. Very family friendly. Good service.

Yelp
This Delarosa location is in the City Center Bishop Ranch. There is parking in the attached garage or in the lots surrounding this center. We were seated shortly after arriving - not that busy when we stopped by, but we had a reservation just in case anyway. The lighting was a bit weird inside, but not a huge deal. We tried their Grilled Steak and Margherita with burrata (added sausage to it). The steak was not what we expected, but was decent. The pizza was okay - I enjoyed the burrata on it, but the pizza tasted a bit burnt. Overall - decent food, but probably not worth the price point.

Yelp
Used to be a good place for Happy Hour. Unfortunately, the Happy Hour menu was significantly reduced. There is a specific section for Happy Hour dining, and while there were only 2 occupied tables, and a couple at the bar, we had to wait quite some time for our order to be taken; service was slow and I wasn't sure if we had a designated waiter, or if the bar tender was our waiter.

Yelp
Great service. Went for my daughter's 13 birthday. This was my first time. I got a pizza, I don't remember the name. It had artichoke hearts, red peppers and ham. I added burrata, just for added taste. The crust had a nice char with a bit of flop. Some of the artichokes were undercooked, had to take them off. They gave a free tiramisu for the birthday girl, nice touch. Ambiance is rather plain but the open kitchen, to watch chefs cook, is fun. They also have a bar and a few TVs. I'll be back.

Yelp
We had a fantastic time! Servers were amazing, very friendly. Ambiance was perfect for a group of friends. Girlfriend had the pumpkin cocktail, she loved it. Great food and beer. We will be back.

Yelp
We go to the Lot in San Ramon and the service is always amazing. We especially love Eddie. Regarding the food, we love the kale and Caesar salad & the Tuna Salad Panini or Raviolis with butternut squash. it's very convenient to sit outside with the heaters and watch our kids play on the green turf or water play area! Highly recommend

Yelp
I've been to Delarosa a handful of times and really enjoy the location, pizza and ambiance. The store has lovely indoor and outdoor seating and it located in the interior courtyard of the bishop ranch mall. It's got a prime location at a corner location facing the courtyard. The interiors of the restaurant is modern and chic. And the outdoor seating is lovely and great to people watch and enjoy the lovely weather. I've tried a few of their pizzas. The Funghi Misti is a mushroom one that has great umami flavor. it's got a variety of mushrooms and onions on it. The crust of the pizzas are amazing. It's so thin and got perfect crisp on it. The fennel sausage pizza is decent too. Today we tried the bartender special which was a spicy marinara with calabrian chilis, sausage and burrata. This is my least favorite one so far. It was way too salty and not enough flavors to balance out the salty and heat. It needed some acidity to cut thru the flavors. Service is decent. I don't think it's ever been amazing or bad. Overall i do like to come here. It's kid friendly and casual but still nice. I'd highly recommend it!

Yelp
Came here for lunch and there was no wait. Not many ppl there and there was outdoor dining as well but it was a bit hot lately. We got the prosciutto di Parma pizza. Lots of arugula. If you don't like arugula , don't get it. I think it's a bit overwhelming. My friends got the grilled steak and Penne. They look a bit small for the price. I would give it a 3.5 star but rounded up since the service and the place was quite good to have chats with friends !

Yelp
Stopped by Delarosa in San Ramon for happy hour and had a great time. Ambiance was pretty chill and low key. We ordered the margarita pizza--crispy, perfectly charred crust with just the right balance of sauce and cheese... and the bruschetta, which was pretty good. The drinks were the real highlight. Big, big shout out to Eddie, the bartender, who absolutely nailed the best Old Fashioned I've had in a long time. Thank you, Eddie! We'll back for the old fashions, real soon, cheers!

Yelp
Yay I checked off another restaurant on my trying every restaurant at the city center list. Delarosa is located right in the center of the city center, perfect spot to sit outside and people watch. The menu is fairly small in my opinion but there's salad, appetizers, panini during lunch, and pizza. Their alcohol list was just as long as their food menu. We ordered: - Brussels sprouts - interesting, first time having Brussels sprouts served this way - individual pieces were coated in buttermilk batter and then fried. - pizza - thin crispy crust. The bartender's special is actually spicy! - penne pasta - flavorful and well sauced. Could use more mushrooms though Considering that Fieldwork is around the corner, I'd say that their pizza is very similar from what I recall. Nonetheless, I would return and looking forward for happy hour prices instead next time.

Yelp
Had a group of 6 here the other night. Everything was on point. We ordered the beet salad, linguine with prawns, gnocchi, steak skewer and both the prosciutto de Parma and margherita burrata pizzas. That prosciutto pizza was incredible and everything else was spot on as well. Quick, attentive service. Great drinks. Kid friendly as well with outside seating in the City Center and a kids menu.

Yelp
Oct 2024 - lunch drinks review Server - promptly seated us and gave us great recommendations ! Got the bruscheta appetizer with our drinks and it was yum ! - our server recommended us to use a pinch of the chili flakes on the appetizer and that was a game changer Drinks were potent :) - just like we like them !
