The Best Chaat Shops and Chaat Trucks in Sunnyvale and the South Bay | Eater SF

"Delhi Chaat gives customers that true street food chaat experience with its tiny food cart parked off El Camino Real. The cart has a variety of chaats on the menu but the stars are the dahi papdi chaat, which is served in puri rather than the traditional flat papdi, and the big plate of spicy aloo tikki chaat. If you’re feeling extra hungry, try their chhole bhatura, which is served piping hot — perfect on a chilly evening sitting in their outside seating area. The cart is open 4–9 p.m except on Mondays." - Hetal Vasavada

We went on a Friday evening. They had a lot of orders and looked like they had only one person working in the kitchen. Long waiting line to get what we ordered. It took them almost an hr to get our last dish.

Very good Chaat items here at this food truck. We had Dahi batata sev puri and papdi Chaat, both were tasty. Service is fast and quantity is also decent. Good good truck.

I ordered aloo tikki chat with chole and it was okay. But wouldn’t order the same dish again.

Lip smacking paratha and some of the best dahi paapdi ever tasted! They also correctly customized spice level for all the different items based on our preferences!

Tried dahi batata sev puri and aloo tikki chole here. Dahi batata sev puri was good but the tikki was chewy and dry.

Excellent chaat and great service. Highly recommend the samosa chaat and paneer pakora. Note: This is the original Delhi Chaat which was located at Old San Francisco Rd. They have a new location and new (blue) truck but it's still run by the same friendly owner. Due to the various location changes over the last year, many old customers aren't aware that this food truck is still open, and unfortunately, some people confuse it with other chaat shops in the area.

This is an awesome food truck in the area for some yummy chaat. We ordered almost everything on the menu :) You place your order and an order number is given. They have a couple of tables near the truck as well. You pick up your order as your number is called. Food : The chaat is really good but I have tasted some better preparations in other cities of the US. I guess the flexibility of preparing chaat to individual taste is lost because of it being a food truck. Their chaai is really good. Price : Dont expect food truck prices. Their pricing is moderate and not low. The owner is one of the kindest people you will meet. He was so hospitable and ensured that everyone was greeted and treated well. Its always good service that tops the food. Will I return : Absolutely!
