Delhi Wala

Stopped over at Delhiwala in King Street to have some snack. The staff were very welcoming as soon as we entered. After being seated and given the menu , we had Vicky come iver to take the order. We had the Chat basket and samosa chat to start with. Vicky was very helpfull and friendly suggesting what else to order along with that. The order was brought out promptly and all looked freshly made. I personally an not one who has chat that much but this one was something else. The portion size were good as well. All the staff were friendly and alert and had then enquiring if all was good , better than many places where you are just left on yiur own without the staff bothering about you and you have to call to get attention. Thoroughly enjoyed ourselves here and would recommend everything about this place. Thanks Vicky for looking after us.

Absolutely beautiful food. It reminded me of my mother in laws home food. Good clean honest food. Basket chat was amazing. And to finish the meal, proper Desi chai.

Staff did listen to order, food was all brought at different times, the menu stated GF, but then told nothing is gluten free. They made the food spicy even though advised them it was for kids, they did not seem like they cared. Poor service. Loads of food wasted

Good service and friendly staff (jahan )my family had a pleasant experience. The basket chaat was absolutely delicious perfectly crispy on the outside and filled with flavorful toppings.. The combination of tangy chutneys, fresh curd, crunchy and spices was just amazing. The taste was authentic!!

Visited on Diwali and purchased a beautiful selection of sweets for a great price. Everything tasted fresh. Particularly delicious Pista Barfi. Will return to eat savoury food 😋

we’re from Huddersfield but every time we come to London we come here and it never disappoints. The food is amazing, the service too and such reasonable prices for the taste. honestly every thing I get from here is top tier. we were served by Danish, he was excellent with his recommendations and service, he was so welcoming and had great hospitality. I would recommend this place 100%!

I recently visited Delhiwala Restaurant in Southall, and it’s a must-try for authentic Punjabi vegetarian food with generous portions. We started with the pani puri (2.5/5)—decent, but not a standout. The dal kachori chaat (4/5) was flavorful with a true Punjabi touch. The paneer butter masala (4.5/5) was fantastic, with a rich, authentic taste—we asked for mild but Indian spicy, and it delivered perfectly! The garlic chilli naan (4.5/5) was freshly made—crispy yet soft. Delhiwala’s special chole bhature (4.5/5) was a highlight, bringing back flavors that reminded me of Havmor in Gujarat. The Delhiwala special mix paratha (4.5/5), served with tea and curd, was delicious. Portion sizes were generous and ideal for sharing between two people. Special thanks to Ajay for his recommendations and great service. They also offer Indian snacks and sweets. Overall, I’d rate it a solid 9/10. With most items under £7, it’s excellent value for money. Highly recommended!🥳👍

Absolutely loved my experience at Delhi Wala in Southall! This place is a hidden gem for pure vegetarian lovers. The food was not just delicious but also felt authentic and freshly prepared — from the chaat to the thalis, every bite was full of flavour. What really stood out was the amazing quality of food at such reasonable prices. It’s rare to find such a perfect balance of taste, hygiene, and affordability. The restaurant itself is clean, well-maintained, and has a very welcoming vibe. The staff were incredibly friendly and made us feel right at home, offering helpful suggestions and ensuring quick service throughout our meal. Highly recommended if you’re looking for genuine Indian vegetarian cuisine in London. Will definitely be back soon!

Was hoping to give Delhiwala a 4 Star review but unfortunately this time was a disappointment. Two of the four parathas had to be thrown away as they had long white hairs in them, don't know if the cooks wear correct hairnets. Both vegetables were swimming in oil excessively. The palak paneer had cubes thrown in of uncooked paneer except it wasn't paneer, a sort of tofu mix. Positives were they gave a small salad, chutneys and pickles unlike many other local establishments such as Chini Chor who want to charge for salad, chutneys etc. So next time won't order vegetables from here but will order parathas but suggest you ask them to ensure staff wear hairnets to comply with food hygiene regulations.

We have been going here for over 2 years now, and have really enjoyed the authentic, tasty vegetarian food even before they added the English descriptions to the menu! Some particular favourites include Gol Gappa, Aloo Tikki Chaat, Aubergine curry, Garlic Nan and Mango Lassi. The bill is always a pleasant surprise with rock bottom prices but the quality and taste are consistently excellent. They also do an amazing range of Indian deserts and dried goods. Despite being always popular but we've never had to wait for a table. Park in the surface car park on Dominion Road as its only a short walk and the free bays on the street are for 30 minutes only and are patrolled frequently.
