I recently visited Delhi 6 in Highland Village, and even though it’s about a 50-minute drive from my place, the trip was absolutely worth it. This has to be one of the best North Indian restaurants in the entire DFW area, and that’s not an exaggeration. Over the past decade, I’ve tried several North Indian restaurants in the region, and Delhi 6 truly stands out as the best among them. We ordered Tandoori Soya Chaap, Paneer Tikka Masala, Daal Makhni, and assorted breads, and every dish was rich in authentic flavors and perfectly prepared. The cocktails and mocktails were equally impressive and thoughtfully crafted. The ambiance is warm and inviting, making it ideal for both special occasions and casual dining. What truly sets this place apart is the service, which was absolutely top-notch. The staff was attentive, courteous, and made the entire experience even more enjoyable. The prices are reasonable for the quality offered. I only wish this place were closer to home so I could visit more often, but we’ll definitely be returning soon. Highly recommended for anyone looking for real, authentic North Indian cuisine in the DFW area!

The full Indian feel!!! The food was cooked fresh from scratch and tasted delicious. Even the temperature of water and jheera masala soda took me right back to India. Our server Mayur was very welcoming and helped us pick dishes that fit our cravings for the day. The garlic naan we ordered was soft and crispy. All ingredients were good quality and left us feeling pleasant. After feeling disappointed with various Indian restaurants that use canned ingredients and heavy cream this restaurant has filled my void. I am exited to go back and try their other recipes. The service was fabulous but we also went on Sunday night and that could be different on other days.

We recently visited Delhi 6 and had a great experience! The tandoori soya chaap was outstanding and both the dal makhani and roti were delicious with generous portions. The service was excellent and I was especially impressed by how neatly they packed our leftovers. The mango mousse cake is a must-try, while the sugarcane juice can be skipped. The restaurant is clean, quiet and pleasant — overall, a wonderful place for authentic food and great hospitality!

We came in for a meal before a day out and absolutely loved the food and experience. We got the chicken 65, the chicken spring rolls and the fried chicken. The chicken 65 was flavorful, succulent and tender. The fried chicken was was crispy, juicy and seasoned perfectly. We ordered for our main course the Dhaba butter chicken and the chicken Rogan Josh. Both were flavorful, filling and unlike anything we tasted. I recommend getting the mango lassi, a sweet cool yogurt mango drink that goes well with the spice of the food. Robert took great care of us and is a friend to all. If you are on the fence about coming, don’t hesitate. Delhi6 will change how you see Indian food for the better and become a staple for your dinning experiences. Thank you Robert. We hope to see you again soon.

Finally able to try this Indian restaurant and it did not disappoint! The ambiance, the service and most especially the food were all amazing. I think their rogan josh is by far the best version that I tried in years. I am looking forward to another visit in their new location in March 2026 which I was told will be bigger and better. Btw for kids try their mac and cheese 😀

We went to Delhi 6 to celebrate my husband’s birthday, and they made it so special for us! ❤️ The service was amazing (10/10) — super friendly and attentive. The food was absolutely delicious (10/10) — every dish was full of flavor and perfectly cooked. Mayur went above and beyond to make our evening memorable. Highly recommend this place to anyone looking for great food and a warm, welcoming atmosphere!

Anchala's service was impeccable. She made us feel welcome but also was very informative about the menu. We loved everything that we ordered, the lollipop chicken appetizer, traditional goat curry and garlic naan were my favorite! And don't forget a mango lassi drink!

Pretty full on a Tuesday evening! What does that mean? Got to be doing things right, IMO. Had another lovely meal with great service, courtesy, Tatum. Tried the Banjara Chicken appetizer. Light and very tender/ succulent. Could not help but reorder their Bhendi Masala (Okra) and Daal Makhani. Extremely well made dishes that we love. Side order of Papaddum....we prefer fried, but theirs are roasted so we may skip this next time. All in all.... A must go restaurant.

I would've taken a picture but the food was gone too fast. This family cooks! And we left no crumbs. Try the jalapeño garlic naan, or probably any naan (first time here so I have no comparison). It's perfectly crispy and chewy, so flavorful. I had the butter chicken and it's incredible. Best of all, the chef adjusts the spice on each dish individually, so the whole table got exactly what they wanted. Delicious! We had signature drinks as well, and they were reasonably priced and well-mixed. (Try the cucumber cooler for summer!) They do have actual cloth napkins, tablecloths, and great music, but it somehow still feels casual and welcoming. Our service was personable, helpful, and very quick. Will become regulars, especially since this is a true family-owned local business.

Great QUALITY of food, ambience, and service! From the moment you step inside this restaurant you are greeted with warmth and hospitality. Amazing decor throughout and upscale seating with a full bar. Robert was our server and we were so impressed with his demeanor, knowledge of the menu- desi ingredients and spice levels! His recommendations were right on and overall service was superb! Onto the Menu... over 100 veg and non-veg items and they even had options for folks who don't eat onion/garlic! From apps, to main dishes, to amazing desert options- you're sure to find something to enjoy. Dishes are also available in shareable portions! We went with the Murgh Tikka and for entree we choose the Dhaba Butter Chicken and Palak Paneer (which came with a serving of white basmati rice) and Butter Naan. And for desert we asked for Gulab Jamon with a side of ice cream and Chai! Overall the flavors were great! Even at spice level 4 the food was tasty and not super spicy- rather tasty spicy, if you know what I mean! True, authentic, NORTH Indian cuisine- which is so rare in DFW! The quality of the ingredients are seen and definitely tasted and one thing to note- my fingers didn't even get stained from the curries (unlike some other places I've been) meaning they don't add dyes or artificial coloring! I truly enjoyed the naan as well- beast way to describe it was as if I was tearing off pieces of a cloud- they were super fluffy and buttery and soft! A great compliment to the curries for sure! The Gulab Jamon was perfect and warm and sweet and the chai was spot on! It gave the meal a good completeness! We definitely will be back!!!

Finally, I found a place that exceeds all my expectations ( let me tell you they are pretty simple :-P - all I want is my food to be tasty & consistent). From the ambiance to the food to the service , everything was top notch! I went with my favorites - Samosa chaat, Malai boti, cauliflower Manchurian, Malai kofta, Paan kulfi. All the entrees come with rice ( and not your usual basmati rice but the one with nuts and cilantro), it goes perfectly with the main dish. Don't forget to try their desserts! We tried the paan kulfi and gajar halwa, and both tasted amazing! Paan kulfi is like your palate cleanser, highly recommended! Even though it's far for me, I am going to be a repeat customer *__*

We decided to try this Indian Restaurant even though we live in Irving with quite a few possibilities. They do offer a buffet on the weekend for about $28. This is including a soft drink/chai (Indian Tea). I thought that was reasonable given their location in the busy upscale shopping center. This restaurant is busy on the weekend so be prepared to walk around the shopping center while your table becomes available. That being said, it was worth the wait. All the food on the buffet line was pretty fresh. There were running low on Naan but they re-stocked it immediately. Our server Joshua was very attentive about our drinks. They also cleared plates quickly. The atmosphere seemed more upscale than your average Indian Restaurant. All this dishes were tasty. The had a Indo-Chinese fusion dish called Lollipop Chicken that was tasty. I usually don't like this combination. My wife loved the Masala Ravioli. The taste came together well. We will come back again.

Besttttt Indian food restaurant I have ever been to. Very authentic. Manager/owner robert is so kind and efficient he always takes such good care of me everytime I come in. He's amazing at quality control and always ends up handing me and free appetizers. Tatum and Rohit are also so amazing. I strongly recommend this place. They have great prices for the amount of food you're given and the cocktail choices are authentic and unique to classic cocktails!!!

This is my favorite place for excellent Indian cuisine in DFW. I've been bringing small groups of people here since they've opened and Dehli6 never disappoints. I was celebrating last night and we were looking for an adventure out of the ordinary. We forgot to check the hours but the staff graciously said they'd accommodate! I felt guilty but we accepted and I am so happy we did. They've added quite a few items to their already extensive menu. Some of these dishes, we'd not had before - and away we go. We started by splitting a Taj Mahal (22 oz) lager as we waited for our appetizer. I ordered the Tandoori chicken wings (level 5 spicy), expecting a small order of 4 wings. While we waited, we decided to go ahead and order the mains. Lamb vindaloo (level 5), shrimp biryani, dal mahkani (black lentils) and 2 orders of garlic naan. When the wings hit the table, I realized my delicious mistake - I was going to have a TON of leftovers to feast on later. There were 8 big, fat wings on that platter, nestled atop a cabbage slaw with lime dressing and a tangy chutney. I ate one and had to stop myself from having another. If this serving was any indication, I was about to have my hands full. I'd forgotten that all the other times I've been in, my friends wanted 0 spice. Both my hubby and I LOVE spicy food. Our noses were sweating and my mouth was burning but in a wonderful way. Then, the entrees arrived! 1 order of naan would have worked. The lamb vindaloo was full of chunky, tender lamb and potatoes, served with a side of rice. The dal was deliciously spicy, simmered down and very flavorful. The shrimp biryani is one of my favorites! Piled high with lots of fragrant, spiced rice and veggies with big shrimp nestled inside. Next time, I'll drop that spice level down to 3 - and I definitely avoided the dark, dried chilies that crowned each dish. I was glad no one else was there to watch me dab my eyes with a napkin. I packed up 4 containers to go home and my lips were tingly for 10 minutes after we left the restaurant. It was all so good that I couldn't help but snack on another wing that night. I also had one of the wings for breakfast and will polish that dish off for lunch! Truly a treat that I'll enjoy for a few more meals. I can't wait to go back and try their Tandoori pompano - a fish dish grilled in that magical oven. Or, the lamb chops - or the lamb shank - or the lunch buffet! If you're in the area and looking for something fun and different, stop in! You can try anything I've recommended until you get your bearings OR stop in for their AYCE Sunday lunch buffet. Go there. Get some. Life is too short for boring food!

Amazing food! We visited last night. The food was so delicious it was hard to stop eating. We ordered the Gobi Manchurian (medium spicy)and it was life changing. I could eat that everyday. Second appetizer was Paneer Pakora. It was light fluffy and delicious. I had Butter Paneer (Indian spicy). It was super spicy and absolutely delicious. I love that the curries have extra gravy. Rice portions could be larger. The rice is so good you want more of it for all that gravy. The garlic naan was tender and stone fired. So so good. For desserts we had: -Kheer Badami (rice pudding)-light and fresh -Gulab Jamun - served warm in a small cast iron skillet. The syrup was perfect and the balls were dreamy. I've never seen them so small like the size of large grapes. Perfect for one person. -Mango Ice Cream - nice mango flavor. It was like mango ice cream cake. Yummy. Roberto was our server and provided excellent perfect service. The restaurant's decor was lovely and inviting. The only thing better than amazing service, is amazing food. This place has both.

First time here and the food was EXCELLENT! Great service and nice quiet atmosphere. We had the Chicken Tikka Masala and Lamb Korma - both outstanding. Robert, Mayur and owner VJ are wonderful!

Hands down, my favorite Indian restaurant. I just wish it wasn't so far away! they use dim lighting but it has a calming effect, rather than a giving shady vibes. Waitstaff were all very kind and our waiter was really helpful. I got medium spice level on the chicken lollipops and it was perfection. Not too much spice to cover the flavor, but enough to give your lips a spicy tingle lol. I got the American spicy on my butter mahkni and that was also just perfect. I like the toasted almonds and raisins they added to the rice. It complemented the curry nicely. The food came out in a timely manner, not too quick you couldn't enjoy everything, but quick enough that you were not waiting long at all between plates. The samosas were perfectly fried and well-seasoned. They've also won best Indian food in Denton county for the past three years!

First time to visit Delhi6 and I'm thoroughly impressed. I had the coconut curry -- Indian spicy -- and very much enjoyed the well-crafted blend of flavors. Can't wait to come back and test my spicy tolerance with level 5 (South Indian spicy)...

A long distance to drive from Dallas. But you will not been disappointed. A friend booked this for brunch. I whined initially. But Oh boy! Was I surprised. Amazing food. Very authentic ! The spices were very well blended and true to "back home" The cocktails are left to be desired. The moctails were super sweet. The alcoholic ones could be improved on. Overall a fantastic concept and I will might be tempted to drive back

This is me and my friends. We love Delhi6. Eating Delhi6 is like learning how to breathe again. I had the lamb coconut curry and it was so good. Like so good. My friends love the chicken lollipops and they get it every time we come. Our server was very kind! His name was Zion and he was training but very nice. The manager helped him because we were a larger party and the manager was awesome. The inside is always super vibey too. I love my friends and I love Dehli6.

WOW, this was quite a pleasant surprise!! My husband and I came here to eat dinner before our movie date and we were SO HAPPY we did! We've eaten at a lot of Indian restaurants together and this was by far THE BEST in every category. The Chicken Tikka Masala melts in your mouth and is so buttery. My husband described it as "light and fluffy". I had the Bhindi Masala and the Garlic Naan. They make everything from scratch so it was all so fresh and tasty! The ambience is very nice as well. When we first walked in we were greeted by a friendly "Namaste!" from the hostess. Then, we had an extra attentive server named Hannah and were pleased to speak with Robert, the manager at the end of our meal, who was super cool. Overall, I would happily come here any time when I am feeling for some Indian food!

A phenomenal dinner experience at Delhi6 tonight! Between the delicious food, the impeccable service by our waitress Catherine and manager Robert, and great atmosphere- we'll be back for sure!!! Appetizers we ordered the aloo pakora and onion bhaaji. Both so good. I personally really enjoy the tamarind sauce they have on the side for both! We order Lychee Loves for beverage, amazing. Bubbly lychee drinks with basil seeds and freeze dried strawberry garnish. Entrees- signature Lamb Shank, Chicken Shahi Korma, Chicken Malabar, and Traditional Chicken Curries. Allow a longer waiting time for the preparation of the shank, but it is absolutely worth it. All our entrees were fantastic, flavorful, hot. The rice is garnished with slivered almonds. 1 order of Aloo Parantha and one traditional naan! Dessert- Malai Kulfi Mango & Mixed Berry, and Gulab Jamun. Delicious. I highly recommend visiting this establishment, having Cathy as your waitress, and getting the chance to say hello to Robert.

Poor customer service. We understand the restaurant was busy, and they were not able to give us a table, even though we called an hour before to understand the waiting process. They were not clear on how to reserve a table. Upon entering, the front desk employee was blunt and rude, and told us there was no possible way of getting a table. We were eager to try this spot out, but don't think we will be returning due to the employees attitude and confusing waiting process!

Delhi6 Indian Kitchen and Bar is always so delicious, and is my favorite place for Indian food. Their vegan selection is amazing!

Pricey food.4 pieces of lamb chop costs $50. And it wasnt worth $20. Customers are asked to wait in front of the counter cramped up untill the entire party shows up. And the reason they gave "They dont want the servers/staff's uncomfortable!" And what about 15 PAYING customer waiting by the counter being "UNCOMFORTABLE"? And they let us sit down, the staff said, "you cannot order alcohol until the party arrives." A lot of drama happening here. Never going back.

I cannot recommend this place enough! It was by far the most delicious place we ate in Dallas. YOU HAVE TO COME HERE!! Service was fine, but the food was out of this world. It is pretty cold inside, with a dark decor. It's not loud at all, a nice calm place to try.

Indian is probably my favorite overall cuisine and this place makes some incredibly tasty Indian food. The restaurant ambience is nice. Having spent many months in India over the years, I can say the flavors and ambience this place delivers are authentic. However, it comes at an insane premium and this is why my review falls short. It may be a little harsh to say that Delhi6 is a rip-off, but it's close. The portions are very, very small and extremely expensive. Consistently, we have ordered their curries and have been disappointed with the small portions and practically non-existent pieces of proteins. Essentially, you're ordering sauce with a few bites of protein. This might be forgiven because the flavor is so darn good, but then you realize you don't have much to eat the sauce with because the rice portions are criminally small as well. Each curry comes with a rice portion they say feeds two people; in my experience, the rice barely covers a single person serving. Extra portions of rice cost $4. I realize that when eating at a restaurant, you're paying for the ingredients, the preparation, and the experience, but $4 rice?!? It's borderline cruel because once you start eating that have finished the small piece of protein you were given, you want to finish it with rice but by then, there's no more rice. There's nothing that illustrates the overpriced portion issue than Rice Pulaao... $12 side that barely feeds one person. If you want some sliced onion? $3.00!!! I hope you get the idea. The service at the restaurant is meh. Plain and simple, you don't go for the service because it's practically nonexistent. In summary, this place tastes amazing but the value just isn't there in my opinion. Indian Chili tastes just as good and offers better value.

It was my first time trying this location, and I was amazed with everything. I came around lunch time and ordered the butter chicken, banjara chicken, coconut curry, and garlic butter naan which all surpassed my expectations exponentially. The service provided was also very nice, as our plates were changed out for appetizers and main course. I would very much recommend this to people who are looking into trying indian food as they do offer how spicy you would like your dish prepared. Also to add the feel of the entire place is very welcoming and professional.

Exceptional Indian dining experience! From the inviting ambiance to the attentive staff, everything was top-notch. Rohit, our server, was fantastic, ensuring our experience was memorable. Owners Vijay and Ajay were gracious hosts, adding to the warm atmosphere. The Lamb Shank, Tandoori Wings, Banjhara Chicken, and Paneer Tikka were all bursting with authentic flavors. The Mango Mojito and Maharaja Lassi were the perfect refreshing drinks to accompany the meal. Can't wait to return for more!

It was our first time at Delhi6 and it was amazing! Well worth any wait. Too many good things on the menu with excellent flavor. Some of the must try's are the lamb chops, Paneer Munchurian & Samosa's to name a few. Make sure to order some Garlic Cheese Paneer Naan to share! Lastly you will always have room for an order of Gulab Jamun. Perfect way to complete the meal.

We walked in and the waiter asked for our name and hold us to wait until she checked which was weird because it was practically empty. The other weird thing was while we were mid-appetizers, I'm talking food in my mouth mid, the waiter came up and asked if he could clear the plates for the main course. We were so confused because we clearly were still eating. We said not yet and he basically just left our dinner plates on our table and left. Would get again: chicken lollipop and biryani. The birayani has shaved almonds in it, which was a different taste but the whole birayani was delicious. The butter chicken was more flavorful than the chicken tikka BUT be aware that the curry only comes with like 2 pieces of chicken. The chicken 65 was more sweet than spicy, so not my favorite.

Can not say enough great things about Delhi6. It's truly a family experience. They really treat us like family and take the time to sit and talk with us. Staff is amazing and food is excellent. Katherine (Cindy Lou) and Mayur took very good care of us. We were even had a special visit from the Grinch.... Asked for something new to try and the lamb shank was recommended. It was amazing. Literally melted in your mouth. Thank you AJ for taking such great care of us.....

All the flavors come together so nicely. It was like a party in my mouth with every bite. We had garlic naan, Coconut Curry with chicken and lamb Biryani. The server was on point and the atmosphere was very nice.

I can probably count on 1, maybe 2 hands that get 5 stars from me and this is definitely one of them. If I could give it 6 stars I absolutely would. From the service, to the food, to the ambience, everything was spot on! I can't rave enough about this restaurant. It is probably the best Indian restaurant I have ever had and would definitely drive down from Oklahoma again just to eat here! If you love Indian food done correctly this is your spot. I had the butter chicken and pork chops! The flavor was absolutely amazing! Perfect amount of spice, flavor, and cooked to a perfect heat level! I don't know if it can get any better than this! An absolute must try!

We regularly depend on Dehli6 for Indian cravings. Monday through Saturday, Delhi6 knocks it out of the park on a regular basis; it's worth the wait, and typically worth the slightly-pricey cost. The quality is great! In general, we love this place! Tikka Masala, Tandoori chicken, Butter chicken, Fried Chicken, fresh veggie salads, naan, the list could go on. What I took a star away for: The forced-buffet on Sunday (or order to go and leave - according to the hostess at the front), the at-times awkwardly chatty hostess, and the very long wait time for pickup or delivery orders, typically over an hour. The buffet today was $27.99 per adult person. The ticket BEFORE tip was just over $60 (no alcohol purchased - only 2 adult buffets). Our typical ticket cost is between $45-55 (depending on our drink choices), AND we get exactly what we want on any day other than Sunday. I'm actually shocked at the price of the buffet - I would prefer they get rid of the expensive buffet. The naan was limited to just garlic naan and was soggy because it's kept in a chafing pan - steaming away under the lid. The main dishes - notably the yogurt-based sauces - were split and (understandably) without any spice at all. I tried adding hot chutney to the butter chicken to make it something close to "medium" or "American spicy" without any luck. For the same price, I could get a dish exactly as I want it AND a drink - and even a naan appetizer. All that said, if you just want to try new things without ordering 6 dishes off the menu, you may be able to try some new things at the buffet (though, the variety is not wide if you've already been a regular). You may enjoy the buffet on Sunday, but I will avoid Delhi6 (dine-in at least) on Sundays going forward.

Beyond delicious! My husband and I have lived close to Delhi6 for 3 years and have only now stopped in for lunch. I really wish we had done it sooner! The food was spectacular. I got the chicken tikka and my husband got the same with shrimp. We also shared garlic jalapeño naan as well as a fried shrimp appetizer. I can't wait to go back again. The portions are generous! I had enough left for another lunch. Our waiter was very knowledgeable and gave us good recommendations. I can't say enough good things!

Came in super hungry into this restaurant for a late lunch so couldn't take pictures. Although I must say that the place smells awesome and reflects true taste of Indian food. The chicken appetizers were cooked to perfection and the entrees were simply delicious. The cocktails are good but I feel the Somrus liquor we ordered could have been better. I have both ordered from Delhi6 and eaten at the restaurant, its been a great experience so far. I seem to be in vegetarian mood when I go here but I'm sure non-veg is as excellent as their vegetarian dishes. For appetizers, you can't go wrong with samosa. It's hard to screw it up, it's as good as expected. The garlic naan is also very good and quite the serving size. You could probably split it on 3 people. For main dishes, paneer tikka was very good. I had selected medium spice level and it was still plenty spicy for me. Great flavors, I loved the meal. On a separate visit I ordered Daal Tadkaa (yellow lentils). I was a dare devil and I asked for the second highest level called "American Spicy". The dish was delicious but clearly I'm not American enough to handle American Spicy, I was swimming in sweat but the flavors was so good I couldn't stop eating. The server took pity on me towards the end and brought me mango juice which helped cool me down a bit. The server was great and gave good advice when I asked questions about some of the dishes. Delhi6 is IMO by far one the best Indian restaurants in DFW that I have been to. We are fortunate to have such a good Indian restaurant in our area.

I'm a California visitor who had a tiring day of flying. When my friends took me to Delhi6 in the afternoon after a long day, I was immediately in peace and joyful upon I entered the restaurant. It brought warmth to me from their ambiance and decorations . The warm curry - butter chicken and goat with nicely smelled rice , and iced chai tea saved my day !! I was beyond happy that my friends selected this restaurant to bring me there. Their food is in a balance with sweet, rich, buttery, and spicy. It's a modern combinations of flavors that fully embraced by a Chinese like me. Try them out and you won't be disappointed !

Authentic and flavorful DELHI style PUNJABI and NORTH-INDIAN cuisine at the 'DELHI 6 INDIAN KITCHEN & BAR' in Highland Village, TX...Check it out and let me know your thoughts! PUNJAB is a state in Northern India that derives its name from the five rivers that flowed thru the region making it the 'the bread basket of India', with the largest production of wheat, sugarcane, lentils, pulses, fruits and vegetables. In 1947 when India attained independence, Punjab like Bengal, was split into two with 2 of the 5 rivers in India, and the other 3 in Pakistan. PUNJABIs are industrious yet fun-loving folks who truly "work hard and party hard"! They are also incorrigible, insufferable foodies, whose passion for all things gastronomical would rival that of their compatriots from Bengal, Odisha, Lucknow and Hyderabad! While 'Daal-Roti' (lentils and wheat flat bread) is the staple diet for the hoi-polloi, Punjabi Cuisine has delivered an extravagant array of kababs and flat breads from its TANDOOR ("Clay Oven") including the NAAN, KULCHAS, BHATURAS, PARATHAS, especially the LACCHA PARATHA, the TANDOORI, ROOMALI, & MISSI ROTI which have no peers in any other cuisine across the Planet, period! Did you know that virtually every MICHELIN starred CHEF of Indian origin is a PUNJABI, which is hardly a surprise?! The traditional PUNJABI cuisine has acquired a distinct character with nuanced variations of the PUNJABI CHAAT, KEBABS, CHOLE BHATURE, PARATHAS, BIRYANI, SAMOSAs and especially the iconic BUTTER CHICKEN, CHICKEN TIKKA MASALA and DAL MAKHANI which can be traced to MOTI MAHAL in Delhi in the 1940s, and has been raised to fine art by other iconic establishments like KAREEM's, KWALITY, CHOR BIZARRE and LAZEEZ AFFAIRE! Given our recent culinary experiences in NEW DELHI on our sojourn across INDIA and JAPAN, we were excited to check out 'DELHI 6' in the Highland Village, this evening! While getting a table on a Saturday evening was a bit of an adventure, AJ and VJ, the affable and hard-working owner-restauranteurs personally looked after us and even ordered their finest offerings for us to savor. For the hors-d'oeuvres, we loved the delectable MAHARAJA TANDOORI PLATTER served with an assortment of CHICKEN and SHRIMP KABABS and LAMB CHOPS fresh off the tandoor, which was followed by the amazing TANDOOR POMPANO (POMFRET) that delighted us as sea food aficionados! We will return just to have the TANDOORI PLATTER and the TANDOORI POMFRET on our next adventure! For the entrees, we had their MUTTON ROGAN JOSH (origins in KASHMIR), the DHABA STYLE BUTTER CHICKEN, the DAL MAKHANI and the BAINGAN-KA-BHARTA (spiced, mashed eggplant) with their GARLIC JALAPENO NAAN, ONION KULCHAS and the CHICKEN DUM BIRYANI which left us in a serious "Food Coma", with hardly any appetite for Desserts, except for the ANGOORI GULAB JAMUM which we liked. DELHI-6 is a modest sized restaurant so I suggest that you go there from Monday-Thursday for your debut experience, since it is a bit of insanity on Friday and Saturday evenings especially since they do not take any advance reservations. Please call 30-45 minutes before you get to DELHI-6 to get on the waiting list and carry lots of patience since you will likely need to wait 30-50 minutes on a Friday or Saturday evening. They serve an all day buffet on Sundays which we would like to check out! Net net, a chaotic experience getting a table on weekends which morphs into an awesome culinary experience lit up with authentic and flavorful DELHI style PUNJABI/ NORTH-INDIAN cuisine, offered with a smile! The food is amazing, service is fantastic and the ambiance is nicely done. I love Indian food and this is the closest to my grandmas cooking that I've had. I definitely recommend!

Second time patron. First experience was very good. Second was even better. Very calm environment with smooth music. Wait staff is VERY attentive. I tried American spice my first time with dissatisfaction, my bad. This time I ordered Indian level spice. OMG spot on!!! With Indian food I expect to sniffle some. I want the spice! Lamb Palak was very excellent! This IS the place for Indian cuisine!

The food is really great, service was great as well. I over heard a waiter say that the portion are shareable, in my opinion they're not. You should get your own and rice is on the smaller side. I always get a second bowl. Lastly wish they had metal bowls because the food get cold quick with plastic.

Dinner on a Wednesday night with my boys. Apps and entrees were all excellent and the service was too. This is worth the visit, we'll be back!

We had 4 different dishes and they were all a 10. Why did I not know about Delhi6? Sauces were all delicious and the heat we each ordered were right on the mark. Go eat here. Have the curry lamb, Rogan Josh chicken, lamb shank, jalapeño garlic Nan. Have it all. Or have whatever you like. We'll be back soon.

Still a top spot for fresh and flavorful Indian fare. I went on Sunday this time for their buffet. It has a wide variety, something for everyone. My 1yr old loves their paneer dish.

This is our favorite Indian restaurant in the DFW area. Service is great, good fresh and yummy, carry out convenient and overall a good value.
