Parked at IM Chinatown and walked seven minutes to find this place. Left still wanting more tacos.
Delia is upscale Mexican tucked inside Baan Trok building. Classy spot with nice lighting and good decor, perfect for a dinner date. Not the place if you want casual Mexican to actually fill you up though. I left with my monthly taco craving still uncrossed.
The music is loud and randomly curated. Conversation takes effort.
Chicharron is memorable. Massive pork cracklings, super thick, the kind you crack by hand like you're opening a present. Pastor was solid. Grilled pork jowl tasted good but the portion felt small for group sharing.
The pollito asado was the highlight. Dense, super tasty chicken with crispy skin. This is the dish to order.
Skip the picanha. Chewy and just okay.
The elote looks impressive with five small corn pieces arranged around cheese foam like some kind of corn ritual. Very photogenic. But it was too creamy and bland compared to everything else. Style over substance on that one.
Expect around 1.5k per person before wine. Staff is bilingual and genuinely enthusiastic, which is nice when you're just pointing at menu items hoping for the best.
4/5. Solid date spot. Not a taco fix.
