New Austin Cafe and Bakery Delicious AF Opens in North Loop | Eater Austin

"I noticed a new cafe in North Loop: Delicious AF (Delicious Austin Food) opened at 5003 Airport Boulevard on Saturday, November 5. It’s open for breakfast and lunch, serving coffee drinks and baked goods like muffins, cinnamon rolls, and cookies, along with breakfast sandwiches and grab-and-go salads and sandwiches such as a BLT and roast beef with havarti. For now it’s operating out of shared commercial kitchen Prep ATX while waiting for permits, and plans include featuring goods from friends met there (gluten-free bakery It’s All Good and Kimbalachai), hosting a pop-up market and an Airstream trailer for farmers market stalls, and adding outdoor seating between this location and the co-owned space next door. Co-owners Richard Olmedo (the baker behind Uncle Cake and Pie, with past experience at Shady Grove and Sweetish Hill) and Claudette Kazzoun (who worked in Houston and New York and started the catering company Bespoke Food) also plan to use the former Bun Belly space at 5001 Airport Boulevard for holiday events and then convert it into a lunch/brunch restaurant that will host supper-club dinners with guest chefs and recreate classic Austin dishes from shuttered restaurants like Mother’s Cafe, Shady Grove, and Threadgill’s. Current hours are 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday and 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday." - Erin Russell

A fantastic coffee shop! The lattes are fantastic. I especially loved the Mocha made with Valor Cao powder. Also, all of the iced drinks can be made with cold brew ice so your drink doesn't get watered down. There are a bunch of great food options from places all around Austin and they're always adding more. The service is phenomenal! You can tell the owner, Claudette, really cares about the shop and the community.

Stumbled upon Delicious AF in Austin, and boy, am I glad I did! Their latte was a beautifully balanced blend of smooth and creamy, while their gluten-free croissant was a delightful surprise - flaky, buttery, and something I've been missing out on! The balance between quality and price is just right, making it a worthy stop amidst the myriad of coffee shops in the city. Friendly staff, and a relaxing atmosphere.

Great vibes!! Wonderful owner and the space is perfect for studying! I was really hoping to have a coffee shop on Airport so I was glad when this place opened. I ordered the capuccino and sausage jalapeno kolache. Both were wonderful.

Didn't really wow or amaze us but wasn't bad either given the price. The biscuit was definitely the highlight of what we got but held back by the egg and bacon. We think the egg could be reheated better and that would help the sandwich a lot. Coffee was pretty okay, our cold mocha better than our hot one, definitely a cheaper price than most around here but I think that reflected in the quality. When biscuits and groovy is right down the road (for a similar price) and flightpath next to that (although more expensive), it's hard to justify saving the money.

A great option to pull in and get a quick to-go breakfast or dine in. Counter service that is thoughtfully curated for the regular and classic austinite! I love seeing what pastries they have as they are always whipping up something fun and new. Reasonably priced & super friendly staff. Locally owned. I’m so used to the over the top and overly priced coffee/pastry shops, so it’s nice to have something a little more genuine to serving the community of Austin.

I never post reviews, but I couldn't believe some entitled person really gave this place a mediocre rating. As someone who lives in the area, I was so stoked to see reasonably priced breakfast that wasnt tacos. The breakfast sandwiches were so so good and filling, and were so much better than the other overpriced options in the area. This place is AMAZING, Ricky was so sweet and even sat with us to answer some of our questions. They have some really exciting plans for the space, and I can't wait to watch it grow. Everything is baked fresh in house, and I could really taste the difference. The biscuits were my favorite, perfectly baked and buttery, I could tell they were fresh and baked with love. No, they're not a Starbucks with a fully decked out coffee bar, but they had plenty of options, flavors, and milk alternatives for a fair price, and I thoroughly enjoyed my cup. This is the first time i've been able to get a filling breakfast and coffee for two for under $20 in this city. So so worth it, i can't wait to go back.

Love this cute little spot! My favorite thing is that they freeze the cold brew into ice cubes so your coffee is never watered down! They serve all local food with plenty of vegetarian/gluten free options. Friendly service and very reasonable prices. Already looking forward to a return visit!

New coffee shop in my neighborhood! I want to like it, but… For coffee, they have espresso drinks only. They do not serve brewed coffee. Owner(s), if you’re reading this, you should strongly consider adding a mechanism for brewing a good cup of black coffee, if only a kettle and a chemex/hario. Especially since it’s Barrett’s coffee and Barrett’s makes great quality coffee. We got a dirty chai and a vanilla latte both with oat milk. They were both just okay. The premade sandwiches on focaccia bread were excellent. My partner reports that the caramelized onions on the roast beef sandwich were excessively spiced with something (paprika?) and tasted a bit off. Otherwise very good. The barista was polite and friendly. They have a sign offering to bake you a fresh cookie in 15min. I was tempted but skipped the dessert this time.
