In addition to offering mobile ordering and tracking order progress, the Apple- and Android-compatible app rewards users for frequent usage with promises of rewards that can be redeemed for free food. "Hong Kong café powerhouse Delicious Food Corner has opened in the space occupied for over a decade by Yunnan Garden/Yunnan Restaurant. This is their third location serving a typically wide-ranging HK café menu, though it’s their breakfast specials that they’re best known for. The bustling, perpetually packed original Monterey Park location led Jonathan Gold to call it: “the most Hong Kong place in the San Gabriel Valley.” With a parking lot even smaller than the Monterey Park location, look for even more side street spaces to be filled, as well as the usual standees waiting out front." - Jim Thurman

Service is good for this HK style casual restaurant. Menu is big. Prices are not cheap. Food quality is fine and up to standard.

Wow. So delicious. We had the black pepper steak udon, Singapore noodle, and egg tofu with assorted mushrooms. Wow. I have never had such lovely egg tofu before. Soft like custard inside. Tender, great texture on the outside. Mushrooms were superb. Everything was so good. They gave us a free soup with big soft chunks of winter melon and some meaty bone with tender pork. There is also a fantastic breakfast deal. Two choices for 9.99.

I visited during dinnertime, and I was pleasantly surprised to find that the restaurant wasn't crowded, so no waiting for a table was required. The swiftness with which the dishes were brought to our table was truly impressive. It's evident that Delicious Food Corner values efficiency without compromising on the quality of service. The Ice-Salted Lemon Honey drink deserves a special mention. It was a refreshing and invigorating concoction, harmonizing the tanginess of lemon with the delicate sweetness of honey. A perfect way to begin the meal! While the Shrimp and Egg Stir-Fry was flavorsome, I did find it a tad salty. However, the blend of plump shrimp and fluffy eggs still made it a satisfying dish. The German-style Salted Pork Knuckle was a standout dish. The rich, savory flavors and crispy exterior were a testament to the chef's skill. It's a must-try for those looking for a hearty and flavorful dish. The Walnut Shrimp was another highlight of the meal. The combination of crunchy walnuts and succulent shrimp in a sweet and savory sauce was a harmonious blend of textures and tastes. The Braised Beef Brisket with Radish showcased comfort food at its best. The tender beef and the wholesome flavors of the radish, immersed in a flavorful broth. Parking was made easy with ample space available in the rear of the restaurant – a practical convenience in the bustling neighborhood.

Dining at Delicious Food Corner is like dating a supermodel who insists on texting during the entire dinner. The food? Absolutely stunning. I’d swipe right on that garlic shrimp and pasta any day. But the service? Let’s just say it arrived slower than my last Amazon package, and that was free shipping. The flavors danced on my tongue like they had trained for years with the best culinary choreographers. But my server? It felt like they were doing the moonwalk... backward... away from my table. In short: Come for the food, stay for the exercise—of your patience!

Came here on Friday morning for Hong Kong style breakfast. There was a short line. They serve very authentic Hong Kong style food. The breakfast combo the offer was a tradition in Hong Kong as well. I ordered the Chinese congee combo: dried vegetable with pork ribs congee and dried shrimp rice roll. I also added a Chinese donut with steamed flour wrap on the side. I ordered the coffee & tea combination drink. Food was delicious, and tasted like what I had when I was in Hong Kong. The food reminded me of home. Staff was friendly and they are very polite and respectful. Services was fast. Will come back again. Parking lot is a little small, and it could be an issue during busy hours.

Food and service is amazing here! We ordered the curry fish balls, salt and pepper squid & wings, and taishan house special eel clay pot rice. The wings & squid were flavorful, crispy, and juicy. The curry fish balls were flavorful and just the right amount of spice. The clay pot has the right amount of flavor and the eel has no hint of fishy aftertaste. Service, food, and atmosphere were all wonderful! They even gifted a free soup to welcome us for our first time dining here! It was great! We definitely will come again.

Was looking for Hong Kong style café in Los Angeles, tried a few places but were all disappointed, end up finding this place in San Gabriel, happy to say it is very good, and they have free refill for milk tea!!!! The wait staffs are attentive. This will be my go to place when I go back to Los Angeles to have my Hong Kong style café fix.

This restaurant is one of the chain in SGV. Authentic Hong Kong style dishes can be found in their menu. Recommended: 1. The Eel Rice cooked and served in a cast iron pot. The portion is perfect for solo diner. It is packed with flavor. Ask the waiter to fill the pot with soup stock or hot water so that you can enjoy the last bite of the crispy crust. 2. German Salted Pork Knuckles: The dish is prepared in the Hong Kong style BBQ method, served with a special sauce that enhance the flavor to another level. The portion is good enough for three people. The moisture and soft meat melts in you mouth while the skin remains crispy and not chewy. 3. Fresh off the oven bun served with a thick slice of butter: enjoy this with the Hong Kong style milk tea (not the boba tea) or coffee. This is a typical Hong Kong style item for afternoon tea break, or for breakfast if you need a booster for the morning.

Yelp
A great "cha chaan teng" (Hong Kong style cafe) in San Gabriel.  Pros: - Plenty of parking. - Friendly staff. - Cantonese is definitely not a must, but if you speak it is welcome here. - Very extensive menu including "jok" (congee), toast with condensed milk and peanut butter, steamed rice roll, and clay pot rice. - One free refill on drinks. Cons: None really. Just note from Monday through Friday they close from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm. I ordered a cold Hong Kong style milk tea ($4.50) which was good and quite caffeinated. Pork cubes with peppers had a little too much orange sweet sauce. The toast with condensed milk ($5.50) was good but I'll get it with peanut butter next time. I would return!

Siao Z.

Yelp
I came here late at night. 8PM on a Thursday night and it was close to empty. The servers was extremely friendly. Both the ovaltine french toast (~$8) and the corned beef with egg sandwich (~$9) was definitely delicious. I recommend adding some condensed milk onto the ovaltine french toast. To me, the sweetness was the chef kiss. Amazing flavor! Even the corned beef with egg sandwich was perfect with its ratio. Good late night snack after gym. Hehe. One more thing! You can never miss out on their iced lemon tea (~$3.50)! My total for the bill was around $23 before tax. Worth my money I'd say.

Yelp
Even though there are many Delicious Food Corner in SoCal, this is my first time trying with my friend. I'm not sure if the quality is the same, but this location is definitely worth checking out. All of the ordered dishes are great and delicious. Shrimp with Scrambled Eggs: this is a simple dish and can be cooked at home, but I still ordered it to satisfy my craving. It didn't disappoint me, the portion is large and there are great amount of large shrimps. The eggs are nice and fluffy and the green onions give a great flavor to the dish. Stir-Fried Jelly Fish, Fish Cake and Assorted Mushroom: this is my first time trying stir-fried/warmed jelly fish (I had it as a cold dish), and I love it! The jelly fish is still crunchy, and paired well with the veggies and mushrooms. A very interesting dish to try, you can try lots of different ingredients. Sautéed Taishan Cauliflower with Preserved Meat: another common dish that can be found everywhere. But I still recommend this veggie dish! The cauliflower is nicely cooked (not super soft/soggy or super crunchy). Chicken & Mushroom Clay Pot Rice: the rice is perfectly cooked, it has a thin crust of slightly browned rice on the bottom. The chicken and mushroom portion is reasonable. And love it how it comes with green veggie to balance out the dish. There are other clay pot rice options, so you can select the one based on your preference. Overall, the dishes that we ordered were not salty or oily at all! This place is a great stop for Chinese food, and I absolutely love how the food is not overly seasoned. The portion and the price is amazing and unbeatable. I think I will definitely go back to try out other options. I see comments about their complaint about customer service; however, my friend and I thought their service is acceptable (standard level). We were not approached rudely and our requests were solved. The restaurant environment is very casual, and family-like.

Yelp
We did a takeout in-store and waited about 10-15 minutes for our food. Overall pretty good but not my favorite DFC. My favorite is the one in DB still. Their beef chow fun and yin yang fried rice are solid. Sweet and sour pork was a lil too soggy and some of the pineapple pieces were the core therefore inedible

Channary V.

Yelp
Been to other locations of Delicious Food Corner, I know that they have variety of Chinese food that tend to not disappoint my craving. Sometimes we can have high expectations when we try so many kind of Chinese, but I am feeling like getting something familiar, that I grow up eating, so I went for fish porridge/congee. It's simple, but tastes like home. While here, I got their HongKong style coffee milk tea. While you're here, I recommend their Hong Kong style pineapple bun w/ butter, come with two buns per order. Make sure you have it while it's hot! It's so good :)

Jeff L.

Yelp
I came here to the San Gabriel DFC for dinner with my family a while ago. There's a lot more locations throughout the area now but this is the closest one to me. The food was surprisingly good. The minced pork with egg and rice was the highlight of the meal and you have an option to get non spicy or spicy. I would definitely have to go with that non-spicy again next time. The peppers that they put in there is quite a kick. We also ordered that seafood chow mein. The seafood taste was definitely a bit strong so keep that in mind. We also got the satay supreme beef with vermicelli hot pot. It was pretty good but it seemed a little dry probably because it was in a hot pot and it could be a little juicier but overall it was pretty good. The satay taste was very robust. The restaurant itself isn't huge. And I can see how I can get busy on the weekends enduring busy times of the week. I went in with the expectation of service being really terrible as per the reviews but it was decent. It did take a while for us to get our iced water we did have to ask again thinking that they had forgotten about it. from a lot of the other reviews, it looks like a lot of people come here for breakfast and that is something. The parking lot is in huge either but there is tons of street parking as well whenever the lot gets full.

Cindy S.

Yelp
Service here is good and so is the food. It's busy for a reason! With more then multiple locations, Delicious Food Corner is known for their Hong Kong style breakfast and Cantonese classic specialty. Their menu has many options, so there is something for everyone. Although, this San Gabriel location does not have Dim Sum as opposed to their Arcadia restaurant- so probably each location are slightly different. Overall, I like the San Gabriel location- easy parking (street or private lot), staff are pleasant to deal with, food is good, and they take both credit card or cash (I dislike when a business is just card or cash only) - a win!

Sophie Y.

Yelp
My local friend brought us here since I was craving cha chaan teng 茶餐廳 but it turned out to be a bit different from the traditional ones in Hong Kong. We tried the condensed milk and butter toast, preserved/salted eggs with spinach, and HK-style pork ribs. The dishes were tasty, and the service was fast. The HK milk tea was good, and they offer the first refill for free. Plus, there's ample parking, which is always a bonus.

Yelp
Absolutely solid HK cafe! Coming from the Bay, the one place that I wanted to visit the most in the 626 area is a solid HK cafe and this place definitely lives true to its name. I ordered the Singaporean noodles, pineapple buns with butter and an ice lemon tea. Pineapple buns with butter- Comes in a pair, delicious, honestly can't go wrong with pineapple buns but it wasn't mind blowing. Singaporean noodles- Excellent! Very well made, flavoring was on point with hits of curry and the portions for this was insane. I don't know how ONE individual would be able to finish this whole thing. Ice Lemon tea- Refillable, very refreshing and overall made the meal extra enjoyable. Service was decent too! The set up reminded me of an American diner but I guess that's what HK Cafes are!

Mark L.

Yelp
生炒骨 - Pretty authentic. Crispy even with sauce. Nicely done. 臘味煲仔飯 - Lots of ingredients, also have crispy rice crust but more chewy than crispy.

Lisa C.

Yelp
Comforting Chinese/ Cantonese food. Staff were friendly and attentive and food was-- DELICIOUS! Everything was cooked to perfection and super flavorful. Ample parking outside the restaurant and lots of tables for dine in. Recommend if you're looking for good Chinese food!

Yelp
Lunch in San Gabriel, Los Angeles, California... We decided to meet at this location of Delicious Food Corner because Regis K. received ROTD (Review Of The Day) here a couple of years ago. Regis and I started messaging each other because of his photo of the black squid ink buns at the Arcadia location of Delicious Food Corner. The buns have a gold bunny emblem on the tops of each bun! The Arcadia location is known for its dimsum while this San Gabriel location is known for its entrées such as clay pot rice... Cooked on a stove, the layer of rice that touches the pot (its actually cast iron?) becomes crisp - like mochi crunch! The lup cheong (Chinese sausage) and pork belly with added soy sauce (that Regis poured on) are mixed into a delicious combination! We also ordered green beans with fish cake, Capitol Pork Chops, Spinach with preserved egg & salted egg, and Pork chop with eggplant in clay pot. Everything was tasty and had beautiful presentation. Service was spotty because this place was really busy and a bit loud. We had to wave down the staff several times to order more food and to get some takeout boxes. Parking was free in their lot, and there was more free parking on the street. I wouldn't mind returning for more delicious food! Thanks, Regis! Nice to meet you and your wife in real life! You both are awesome people! See you again!

Yelp
I was back at this location for breakfast. The $9.95 breakfast special is gone and there was a new special menu. The service is the same and I get used to it. The confer and the rice roll were good. I like how they also have a daily special during dinner time and will try that in the near future.

Yelp
I'd give this place 3.5 rounded up (food tasty, service not the best). Ended up here accidentally not knowing my group wanted to go to the Rosemead location. It was a late Sunday afternoon and the spot was pretty empty with the exception of a couple pick up orders and one family dining in. After checking the menu my group said that the Rosemead location had a bigger selection of food, so something to keep in mind as well. We came here to get soup - ordered the wonton noodle soup and the fish paste and lettuce noodle soup. The fish and lettuce (I know sounds like an odd combo) was tasty, I really liked the fish paste (made with fish and green onions) and luckily it came with quite a few pieces. Their chili oil is yummy here too. The wonton noodle soup I'm told was also really good, especially the taste of their wontons. I liked the thin egg noodle they use. I forgot to get a picture, I blame it on how hungry I was. I can understand what the reviews are saying about the service, it did take the food a while to come out (I'd say maybe about 20 minutes?) and even then my soup wasn't hot it was only warm. There were only two tables being served and two waiters however you have to flag staff down if you need anything. We kept putting empty glasses at the edge where they could see for a refill - once the lady looked at it and just kept walking so each time I had to keep flagging them down. Would come again for the food or would try other locations too (I was told the service at Rosemead is pretty fast).

Yelp
It's no clear has before. I went in May, ate breakfast, had diarrhea the whole day, I was thinking maybe some wrong with my stomach. But went back yesterday, ate also breakfast, the same thing happened again.

Christina L.

Yelp
Came here on a Sunday around 9:40 AM and there was already a decent number of people inside. Decided to come here since it's Hong Kong style cafe food and ordered a couple of things: 1) Cheung Fan: 6/10 I've had better Cheung fan in other places and was really disappointed that they were literally drenched in peanut sauce. This made the Cheung fan soggy and not as bouncy like usual. It would have been better if they put the sauce on the side so the customer can choose to add it or not. 2) Porridge: 8/10 Their porridge is usually quite good, and we ordered the chicken and century egg one. I'm a sucker for soup and warm things so it was perfect for my tastebuds. 3) Pineapple bun: 6/10 It was okay, the top is always delicious and crispy. The only con is that the butter doesn't melt and it was lukewarm. It would have been nice if it was freshly baked and the butter melted. Overall, the food is still relatively cheap and worth as we had leftovers remaining. However, it isn't too good as I remembered and the lines are usually long (on weekend mornings especially) if you were to come visit, I'd recommend coming early morning to avoid waiting. Also, the service isn't too good as it takes a long time for the waiter to even notice you (we had to keep asking and even walked up to them to get things like extra utensils). It would be better if they hired more staff to help assist with this restaurant

Natalie T.

Yelp
The food was good, very tasty. The service was rushed like any other Chinese / Vietnamese restaurant. Parking isn't that big, but you can find street parking

David M.

Yelp
Local Cantonese eatery with lots of options. The clay pot rice and porridge/congee are both very good in my opinion. For the pork and thousand year old duck egg porridge/congee, they use shredded pork which I prefer over the sliced pieces of pork at other restaurants. We tried the German Pork Knuckle tonight and I'd say skip it. Check out my photos for more feedback.

Yelp
0 star if I could. I literally just had the worse experience in a really long time. We came for dinner around 6:15pm. Got seated immediately but it took them 5-10 mins to take our order and we had to flag them down to take our order. We got our order in around 6:20-25 and it was before the other tables around us placed their order... we only ordered the beef stew with rice noodles, porridge, and the Chinese donut... after 20 mins the table of 6 next to us got most of their food and we still didn't get ours. We asked them 3 times to check on our order, but they didn't give us any attention. The third waiter literally waved me off. 6:50pm we got our Chinese donut order, which didn't matter if we didn't have our porridge.. 6:53 the porridge came out and let me tell you... we literally tasted cigarettes in our porridge. I was done and forced my husband to walk out with me. It's sad that this location doesn't live up to its chain. We really like the Rosemead location and the hacienda location.

Phil Y.

Yelp
My pops was in the nearby hospital and since Chinese tradition says sick people should eat congee, mom wanted me to take her there to pick some up. We arrived at about 11:15AM on a holiday expecting that they would be slammed, but, the crowd of people did not start showing up until about 15 minutes later. I got their breakfast special consisting of a congee, rice roll, and a beverage. To my surprise, this location is cheaper than many of their other locations. It took about 15 minutes for the food to come out. Everything was packed up in a bag for us with utensils. Service was good. They might've forgotten the hot beverage that we ordered as the selfish me was thinking that I would drink it. I didn't see it, or remember about it until later that evening. I like this DFC. I like their prices. It conveniently located for people like me visiting the hospital.

Andy N.

Yelp
Now this is very solid Cha Chaan Teng with a very general restaurant name... wonder if the translation from Chinese literally means 'delicious food corner.' My friend and I came here for a quick breakfast and it was reminiscent of all the HK style-cafes I frequented growing up. Tea is served and you're almost expected to know what you want after being seated. These types of restaurants don't often come with a lot of plant-forward/vegan options unless you get creative or ask for items off their lunch menu, which they likely can do even during breakfast. I ordered a plain Rice Rolls with a Chinese sesame dressing ($7) and split a Salt & Pepper Tofu plate ($13) with my buddy. The rice rolls were fine though I wish they had one with cilantro or leeks that would have amped up the offering a bit. The tofu though was perfection and these lightly salted fried nuggets of goodness was very satisfying. We also got these large cups of Iced Lemon Tea (a classic) which turned out to have FREE refills, which was amazing but definitely borderline sugar overload. Come for the classics, stay for the refills of lemon tea.

Henry T.

Yelp
Don't plan on ordering takeout if you speak English. They'll just hang the phone right up on you. Happens every time and I don't even know why I keep trying.

KJ S.

Yelp
location/ parking: they are located on the street corner a block away from mitsuwa market! they have a small private parking lot and there is plenty of street parking as well food: your authentic comfort chinese food, came to pick up chicken porridge for takeout and it was fast and delicious! (~$14) service: professional, friendly, fast! they are multilingual and speak english and canto :) thank you to the nice lady hostess who served me ~ ambiance: clean but its a very classic chinese restaurant in 626 overall: 5/5 would come back for fast friendly service and delicious authentic food!

Sean Z.

Yelp
First try was at this San Gabriel location on Las Tunas. First impression was that this is probably one of the original or older restaurants out of the entire chain. The decor and dining area seemed to be a bit dated. It was clean at least. The service was almost non-existent. The waiters are too busy doing other stuffs. If you don't call them, they won't notice your possible needs and wants as they will not check on you at all. The food was served in a timely manner. The congee was not good nor bad. The soup was a bit starchy as some people may prefer this way. The price is not bad at all, very competitive, to say at least. Overall. It's a mediocre place with the same expectation. 3.4 out of 5.

Gloria L.

Yelp
This is the spot to go for delicious, affordable Hong Kong style breakfast! The breakfast combos are available before 11:30am and they are a deal for the amount of food you get. They get really busy on the weekends so definitely try to make it out on weekdays. Luckily I finally had time to come in on a Tuesday morning and the place wasn't too busy. We ordered the Combo E with fish, eggs, and toast, and a seafood congee combo with steamed flour rolls along with a side order of their HK style bun with butter. - Seafood congee 4.5/5: very comforting and filled with a variety of seafood such as shrimp, fish, and baby octopus - Steamed flour rolls 4.5/5: comes with half soy sauce half peanut butter sauce, and the rolls are steamed to a good chewiness - HK style bun with butter 5/5: my absolute favorite Hong Kong breakfast item. I love ordering this every time I come because the butter is nicely melted after waiting a bit and the crisp and sweetness of the bun is perfect - E Combo 2/5: essentially a fish and chip combo which came with a fried fish fillet, 2 half pieces of toast, 2 over easy eggs, and fries. I probably wouldn't get this again because the fish didn't taste that good and the eggs and toast were pretty basic. The combos also come with free coffee or hot tea with free refills. I chose to get the honey lemonade iced tea for an extra $1 and it's so good! Their coffee is also really good because it's served Hong Kong style with the condensed milk on the side. Overall definitely check this spot out for an affordable, filling breakfast before 11:30am! Their lunch menu is really good too but you can't beat the breakfast combo prices!

Yelp
:: Food :: Delicious Food Corner's food is always solid. Everything is well seasoned. :: Service :: Service can be a hit or miss. When ordering to-go the servers in the front can make you feel a little rushed, but that's because they're so busy so that's understandable. The last time we ate at the restaurant, the older gentleman serving us was pretty nice and attentive. :: Parking :: On weekends their parking lot can get full pretty quickly. I had to park on the street several times. :: Tip :: They close at 2pm on weekdays and reopen for dinner at 5pm.

Yelp
With various locations all over LA, Delicious Food Corner offers affordable, tasty, and fresh food. The restaurant doesn't seem to have too many western-style Hong Kong dishes, but their menu is expansive and covers breakfast. Tried their curry with beef, minced pork with egg and rice, and egg with shrimp. The food was good-- true to Chinese cooking-- with juicy and flavorful meat, eggs that ooze yolk, and soupy curry. My favorite to order is the egg with shrimp, which is done right at this establishment-- with tender shrimp that's blanketed in layers of silky (and never overcooked) egg. A solid go-to spot for quick service eats and humble comfort fare. Looking forward to trying their congee and baos next time.

Allisyn N.

Yelp
Rethink eating here after seeing this. Sauces, canned food, rice, etc. - left out in 91° heat. I see them grabbing what they need to use, and walking it to the kitchen. Not coming back ever again. Yuck.

Lisa C.

Yelp
Wow wee, the chef here cooks very well! The food is so authentic and appetizing. The umami is literally oozing out of every dish. And I'm convinced that it's super fresh because I can taste it and it's always quite busy here which is a great sign. At first, when I saw the pricing, I was a little put off, but when I saw the dishes coming out and the sheer amount of yummy food each dish, I say it's so worth it!! Not to mention the "hot sauce/oil" they have here and it's free, just sitting there right in front of you in the condiment holder, is a homemade XO sauce, you know the kind you buy at the Chinese market for like $15 for a 4oz jar, ya, it's free and it's darn good and spicy. Thank you, we will be back for sure, I think I found my go to Chinese restaurant in my new neighborhood! Yay! :)

Steph M.

Yelp
Service: fast! Seating was strange, when we first walked in and asked for a table we were handed a number so we waited. Then another group came in behind us, and just picked a table and sat right away. The waiter noticed so pointed us to sit at a specific table. Food: delicious! Quick and comforting Hong Kong style breakfast! I would definitely come back when craving something nostalgic!

Katelyn K.

Yelp
I normally stopped by for dine-in but I called three times today and twice they just hung up on me. The online system doesn't allow me to order for pick up either. The hours also said open. Not sure why this issue is happening again.

Wah A.

Yelp
Hugh room under staff take more time for food after order. Good quality congee and rice noodle. 1 Special each day under $10. Salty chicken $16. Service acceptable for normal chinese cuisine, not expecting find dinning here. Parking a little limited with ~20 place while restaurants easy fill 70 ppl.

Flora W.

Yelp
Came here for the congee and pineapple buns when they first opened at 9 AM and that's exactly what we got! I've been to other Delicious Food Corners (that weren't the best) but the San Gabriel location always meets expectations. My boyfriend and I wanted a quick breakfast before doing errands and dreamed of their pineapple buns the night before. A quick plan and everything was set! We were one of the first people to get seated and as always, the wait time was short and sweet. We wanted something warm, tasty, filling, and enjoyable in under 30 minutes. Our order was simple - a milk tea, coffee, congee with fried noodles, and pineapple buns (with the honk of butter of course). Everything met our expectations and we were happy. Couldn't have asked for a better experience. Definitely visit this location!

Linh Y.

Yelp
My dear friend and his wife celebrated my b-day with me last month. Thank you my friends! We went to Delicious Food Corner (DFC) in San Gabriel for dinner. This was the first time here for all of us. It's a quaint and nice place for gatherings. They mainly serve Hong Kong style dishes. Tons of variety for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. We ordered 5 dishes which was plenty for the 3 of us. We ended up taking some foods home. 1. Beef Black Pepper Udon - This was fantastic! Excellent flavor... I didn't eat the beef, but I did taste the udon which was very good. 2. Chicken Mushroom Clay Pot - Another winning dish... so yummy! Make sure you pour the soy sauce into the pot while it's warm so that the sauce gets soaked into the rice. The rice in the clay pot will harden and be crunchy rice. SO TASTY! 3. Seafood Tofu Hot Pot - This is one of my favorites... so good! Love my seafood and tofu! 4. Thousand Year Egg + Pork Porridge - This had a good portion of thousand year egg which I enjoyed very much. However, I thought the porridge consistency could have been better... just a little pasty IMHO. 5. Wonton Egg Noodles - Huge wontons and noodles were firm in texture. Soup was okay. Staff was surprisingly pleasant and helpful. They were kind to give us some plates and forks for the cake that we had. Thank you! Prices are on the higher side, but what isn't nowadays. Parking is available to the side and in the back of restaurant. I have been to 4 DFC total ever since this 1st visit here... San Gabriel (dine-in and take-out), Rosemead (take-out only), Hacienda Heights (take-out only), and Diamond Bar (take-out only). San Gabriel is by far the best DFC I've visited! I may dine-in at DFC Diamond Bar one day. I probably will not dine-in at the other two locations. Just so you know, DFC is primarily franchise driven I think. From what I've seen, each DFC may make their same named dishes a little differently compared to the other DFCs. Come on by and support your San Gabriel DFC! See you here! Happy DFC'ing!

Yelp
I wanted to make an update about my recent experience. Although the food quality was great as usual, I was expecting to get my change back when paying but they just took it without saying anything. I know it was just 40 cents or so but it's the principal. At least when I went to another restaurant a few days ago, they had asked me if I wanted my change but the worker here just took my money and left to go help someone else without giving me my change. :/

Yelp
Very spacious diner and delicious Hong Kong style food! It took a while for them to come take our order, but the food came out relatively quick. The congees were well flavored. We got the fish fillet congee and chicken and abalone and it came with sides of fried noodles and shrimp/peanut sauce rice flat noodles (both very tasty). The fried chicken wings are a must- fried to perfection! The HK style bun with butter was a perfect balance of crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside and moist butter in between . I also got the iced HK style coffee and milk tea mix but it tasted slightly watered down. Overall delicious meal and I would definitely come again

Yelp
Food is great! Service is okay and the ambiance is fine... The fish with black beans sauce was delicious and also the Picking Ribs!

Yelp
Last year, my dad and I went there to meet my cousin for lunch. I tried the beef congee, and ordered a Chinese donut wrapped with rice noodle. My cousin ordered a rice plate with an egg on top and meat around. This is a Hong Kong Style restaurant in San Gabriel.

Yelp
Delicious food corner has been our family go to when it comes to breakfast. We've never really had their lunch or dinner menu before. The breakfast menu offers a small range of congee with a choice of a side. Service could be a hit and miss sometimes but its fairly decent for an asian restaurant. The ambiance is very family oriented. Parking may be a little rough to find at times. Despite all else, if youre looking for a congee fix, I would recommend Delicious Food Corner!

Yelp
Disappointed in the lotus & chinese sausage dish. The lotus to sausage ratio was extremely unfair (there were literally 10 pieces of sausage to share between two people) . The lotus was delicious however you can only consume so many condensed carbohydrates in one sitting

Yelp
Nice original fermented egg porridge ! Price okay but side orders add on will be pricey. My other favorite is the wonton noodle soup ! Milk tea refill for free.

Yelp
Good old Hong Kong style breakfast and drinks. Breakfast deal ends at 11:30, but breakfast special is a good deal

Yelp
I've been going here for many years and it's one of my favorite Hong Kong cafes and is consistently good. What I get: -congee with meat balls and it comes with the best rice noodles with peanut butter and sweet sauce (also comes with hot milk tea or coffee) -pineapple buns with butter: nice and flaky -char siu rice noodle: bbq pork with thick noodles Ambience: -mainly families come here, we came exactly when it opens at 9am and it fills up by 9:30am

Yelp
Typical Chinese food. However it's better than a Chinese fast food chain. It's prepared/cooked as you order. Freshly made when served. What I like about this place? I love congee! Their congees are delicious. They have varieties of flavor to choose from. They are freshly made as you order. They are delicious. This is the main reason why I keep on coming here. What I don't like about this place? It gets so busy and they only have one server. Also, that one and only server does not speak or understands English at all. I communicate to him by pointing in the menu what I want or shows pictures. I am giving three stars because of communication difficulties. I hope they have another servers that can communicate a little bit more in English.

Yelp
My dad was super excited to bring us here. Stopped in around 10am and waited about 30 mins on a Saturday. Got the breakfast combo of: -pick a porridge - pick a fried noodle, steam rice noodle or Chinese donut - tea or milk tea Extra carbs for breakfast but it was enjoyable and filling. I didn't realize dad ordered the pineapple bun with butter and I ordered the thick toast with condensed milk. I'd skip the thick toast and get the pineapple bun next time.

Yelp
One of my favorite places in 626. So simple but delicious!! They have multiple locations throughout the 626, all are good. Service is fast and efficient and ambiance is very casual. We love ordering the chicken wings, toast w/ PB and condensed milk, HK style milk tea, wonton noodles. You really can't go wrong here. Super reasonable prices too

Yelp
Understaffed . You could end up waiting 45 minutes or more. You have been warned . This will likely happen to more and more establishments in this current climate .

Yelp
Great spot for HK style breakfast food! LOCATION / GETTING HERE / PARKING: This location is very popular and busy! There is a modest parking lot here but weekends get busy so we grabbed street parking nearby. We checked in with the front and we sat on the benches outside the door to wait for a seat for 2 on a Sunday afternoon at 1pm: got a number and was called to sit not too long after, maybe a 10 minute wait. Not bad! SEATING / SERVICE: You may get a booth for your own party, or you may sit next to another table at empty seats at the end. Paper placemats with local ads are placed in front of you and a menu you can flip through too - efficient! Orders were taken once you've gotten a good look at the menu and they are no issue coming back if you're not ready yet but get your first drinks order started, and they keep an eye on your drink level to ask you whether you want your milk tea or water refilled - graet! FOOD: The HK STYLE BUN W/ BUTTER (BOLOYAO) is really good. The buns come out hot and with a pat of cold salted butter sandwiched in the middle - the slight saltiness of the butter makes the bun sweeter, the top crumbly and lightly sweet and perfect paired with a HK MILK TEA, which is fragrant with that characteristic strong black tea and condensed milk flavor. The TEA WITH LEMON comes with two generous slices of whole lemon which give that zesty zing. The CORNED BEEF W/ EGG SANDWICH (can get HAM or SPAM instead of CORNED BEEF) is really great - the egg is fluffy and savory, sandwiched between three slices of white bread with the crust cut off and with pieces of savory corned beef, cut diagonally. Soft and savory and fluffy, a real standout! OK: The STEAMED FLOUR ROLLS are ok, so I would pick the sandwiches or congee here over those if you want those. The MACAU STYLE PORK CHOP BURGER is a tall sandwich with breaded fried pork chop and bread, served with a serrated knife so you can cut it in half for easier eating - the bread is a little dry. Great HK casual breakfast spot.

Yelp
Food wasn't as good as the Monterrey park location. I would go back to Monterey park next time.
