If you're a fan of old school hip hop, then you've most likely heard of Delicious Vinyl, who produced hits for artists Tone Loc, Young MC, The Pharcyde, and Masta Ace. In 2015, the Ross brothers opened Delicious Pizza, not just for the obvious, but as a community center to host events and showcase musical talents.
Their block parties of great hip hop artist lineups have been pretty massive and Boomyard, which features dancehall and reggae, is more intimate in their patio area. Both events are lots of fun!
While enjoying the music there, I've had the chance to try some of their Delicious NY style pizzas with thin crusts and soft, chewy edges! They sell cheese, pepperoni and select specialities by the slice as well as small 12" and large 16" pizzas.
Soul Flower: eggplant, roasted peppers, mozzarella and tomato sauce - great veggie option!
Shot Callin' Big Ballin': lamb meatballs, mozzarella, tomato sauce and basil - flavorful
Mean Green: olives, shallots, fontina, pesto, arugula and anchovies - like a salad pizza, and one of my faves here!
I've also tried the wings, which tasted a bit frost bitten and microwaved. Could have been a bad day. They also have salads, sandwiches and pastas, but I think pizza's the way to go here.
For beverages, they have a decent selection of soft drinks, coffee, beer and wine.
Parking can be a challenge in this area, especially when they are having events. That doesn't deter me from coming here though!
