‼️I am so disappointed with the cake. It was the worst birthday cake I ever ordered. I had several cakes before and this one was the worst. The first 2 photos— the cake they made. The 3rd photo— one I requested. When I ordered, I clearly asked for fondant cake and when the manager was telling me about extra charges for add ons, I really did not mind coz i just wanted a beautiful fondant cake. I did not mind about the price. Before I left the bakeshop I even confirmed if it was fondant and she said yes. I expected them to decorate it nicely at least or make the name a lil bigger just to compensate the pineapple that was removed. It’s a 7inches cake, they could have placed a cake dowel rod inside to support the cake. When I left the bakeshop like 5 min upon entering the car, it was already leaning backwards. Most of the decors were detached when I got in the car. Spending over 100 bucks for something like this is really disappointing.

Ordered a cake for my girlfriend’s birthday. The people working the counter were friendly, thorough, knowledgeable, and gave me realistic expectations. The bakers did an excellent job executing the vision 👌

I’ve ordered standard cakes from delite before but I recently placed my first custom cake order with them. I’m really pleased with how my cake turned out - very close to the original photo I showed them for inspiration. I also ordered two lbs of assorted cookies and they exceeded my expectations. They were even better than the cake!

I love this bakery! Always delivers the best and freshest basic pastries, along with the finest fancy cakes. It’s my go-to for tea cakes and jelly donuts and never disappoints!

After visiting this bakery, my first taste of the pastries was not impressive at all. After speaking with Eric, the manager, he invited me to taste other pastries. He stated that some pastries differ from bakery to bakery and assure me that my impression would change. So, on my second try, with Sarah's help, I purchased a peach danish and a chocolate covered cream filled donut. The danish was soft, almost like a cake, not too sweet, and the peach filling super delicious. The donut was filled with a lot of vanilla cream, very soft and fresh. Eric was absolutely right!! Never rush to conclusions before trying the other products they make. Sarah was exceptionally friendly.

Amazing cakes, my boyfriend loved his strawberry shortcake this year and last year he loved the Tirimisu cake. Amazing! If you are looking for a cake for any occasion or just to treat yourself please support them, they are fantastic! Job well done, high quality ingredients!

They did a great job replicating the inspo cake design I requested! Cake tasted good and came out beautiful! Will definitely be ordering again for my special occasions

Ok, I've done several reviews of DB in the past. All 5 stars, and deservedly so. Excellent pastries, cookies, cakes, paskas, breads, rolls, you name it. They recently changed something in their jelly donuts (which, by the way, are the best I've ever inhaled). No longer is the donut infused w raspberry jelly from the side...it's now impregnated from the top. Be forewarned. Bite down gently or you might end up with a "squirter" and a nose full of jelly. 5 stars - the best of the best!

It might have been because it was late afternoon on Memorial Day Weekend, but I wasn't that impressed with most of the items that we tried. The Standouts: Rainbow cookies, which they keep in the fridge. The jam was good and the cakes were moist, but like most other bakeries, it is pretty dense. The chocolate ganache is exactly what you'd expect. The Mehs: Lemon cookie was dry and didn't have that much flavour; neither did the "crackled" cocoa cookie which was incredibly dry. The lintzer tart cookie was too thick for my liking, and the jam was overly sweet and runny -- I prefer it to be more viscous and have more seeds. All in all, completely acceptable but I'll have to try more things to get a better sense of Delite's offerings.

I grew up in Brooklyn with some of the best bakeries that was known in the tri-state area, and when I moved to Westchester, no one can compare to delight bakery. Their lobster tail is probably the best I've ever had. Friendly staff, great service, a pure delight

Amazingly delicious I had a slice of strawberry shortcake. It was awesome strawberry was nice and fresh. The challah bread was nice and buttery. It couldn't get any fresher if I made it myself

So happy to see that they have reopened! My favorite is the chocolate fudge cake, but I have yet to have anything there that wasn't fresh and delicious. I love the friendly and helpful staff and the old-school atmosphere that still looks clean and modern. Welcome back... I will be celebrating many more birthdays with cakes from Delite!

I just stopped in after church to have a coffee and mini cannoli. It is a cute bakery, spotless, great staff, and efficient service. If anything I should have asked that my cannoli be warmed up a little. I would have liked it room temp. People are ordering cakes from the case they look so scrumptious! And, you can also order in advance. Extensive assortment of cookies amd pastries. Glad I stopped in.

Delite was so helpful with our gender reveal cake. It looks absolutely adorable and it tasted delicious! Can't wait to celebrate our baby girl with future cakes from Delite.

I first discovered Delite when I was presented with a large box of their assorted cookies. I had never heard of this bakery before, but after speaking with friends and family I learned they have been around for many years and gave off the old school vibe. I love baked goods, and discovering new bake shops - needless to say I was excited to give Delite's goods a try. The box of cookies contained a familiar assortment of sugar, sandwich, and frosted varieties. Overall the cookies were good - they kind of all tasted the same which I find common with a lot of bakery cookies, but the sandwich ones with jelly were a nice standout. I also appreciated the creative decor they used, it totally made them pop out in the box. Overall, Delite serves solid cookies. Personally they were not the best bakery cookies I have had but they're far from the worst. That being said, my interest has been piqued so I may need to visit to try their other baked goods.

Poor quality Italian pastries, even though they are expensive. We bought Zeppole and Sfingi at $5.75 each and couldn't believe how bad they were. Sadly, good bakeries are a dying breed in Westchester.

Rolls fresh and delicious. Cakes from scratch. The best 7 layer cake i have eaten in 20 yes. Custom and specialty cakes no problem. Fresh ingredients. Pleasant and helpful staff. Wonderful old fashioned bakery.

My family has been ordering from Delite for the past few years now and they never disappoint! The staff is always super friendly and helpful. They cake is always fresh and delicious. Their pricing is great too. You can get a cake or pastry's for any occasion. 10/10 recommend!

An absolute hidden gem in Yonkers! I have always been to yonkers, but never this part of town and to my surprise I stumbled upon this amazing bakery! I decided to pick up a few items to try them out and for the love of god, HOLY $***! It is hard to get a three colored rainbow cookie right and their cookies were moist, flavorful and the perfect amount of chocolate! The St. Joseph's pastries and cannoli were fresh, rich in flavor and just delectable. Lastly, I picked up a french napoleon pastry and the top coating, along with the flaky puff pastry and cream was phenomenal. Not only were the baked goods out of this world, but the service was impeccable. I was greeted as soon as I walked in and was helped the entire time, with a giant smile. It is hard to find an establishment these days with good service and food... but Delite bakery seems to have it all! The atmosphere was also cute with a typical bakery vibe. 10 out of 10 highly recommend trying them as I will be a repeat customer now! My experience was utterly Delite-ful!

Great local bakery. I've been coming here for many, many years - I didn't even realize I never wrote a Yelp review on it - but now here I am. As mentioned, great local bakery that does a number on my nose and eyes each time I come in here with the smell and the sights. Each time I come here, I just want to be bad and stuff my face with everything I see - but I always restrain myself. Everything has always been made perfect and fresh - from cookies to cakes. The cookies and such are on display and you can always preorder a cake if need be. They've never disappointed with the quality. Staff have always been friendly and welcoming here. There is only metered street or municipal lot parking, unless you want to walk from a non-permit local street. All in all a great bakery for the area and one which I will of course return to.

Bought a half pound of cookies today. They were brittle and all tasted the same. Texture was wrong and flavor was muted. This used to be an exceptional bakery. Now it is mediocre at best. Many other better options out there

The strawberry shortcake is absolutely delicious. This is my favorite bakery..everything is good and the staff is great. Can't wait for them to re-open due to the fire.

This bakery has become one of my absolute favorites! They stole my heart with their fluffy, tasty, and fresh strawberry shortcake . LoL!!! The bakers are fantastic and always willing to create something special for any occasion. Most recently, I placed an order for my son's Birthday party and decided to ask for a design literally on Friday for a Sunday pick up. Guess what?! He did not disappoint. My son LOVED his Xbox cake.

This Bakery is great. I have been coming here for over 30 years. Love the staff and the selection. Place is perfect has everything you think you don't need. I have had them make a birthday cake for both my son and wife. Will continue coming back

I picked up an Italian rum cake today 11/25. I was very disappointed!! The cake was DRY! No essence of rum was placed in it. I was very clear with my order when I placed it. I confirmed that it would have the essence of rum in it. Usually delite bakery is always the place to go but this time, the cake was a disappointment. I called, spoke to the manager Eric about it. He was very polite but explained that the cake was baked the day before & the essence of rum dried out. In all the years of buying this cake, I have NEVER heard of that. Usually 2 days after we cut the cake it's moist and delicious. I've been buying this cake yearly for the last 10 years and this is the first time that I was not happy.

First, I want to mention that post-COVID inflation has hit cakes very hard, more so than many other items. It's by no means just here, but everywhere. Having said that, when you're paying a lot for a cake, it eases the sting when you get a freshly-made cake that is delicious. I don't live near this shop, but my wife adores their Molly Brown cake so on her birthday I make the not inconsiderable trip down to pick one up. We were both very pleased with the result. Since it's just us two eating it, we get four days worth of servings out of it. And even on day three, as of this writing, it still tastes great. Both Eric, who took the order on the phone, and the young lady who packed it up for me when I arrived, were friendly and professional. Can't ask for more.

BAD CAKE! BEWARE! Had a slice of strawberry shortcake on Saturday, I knew something was off but wasn't sure if it was the coffee..but, I still ate it! Because its DELITE a bakery we trust,, NO WAY is it bad!!! BOY was I wrong! GOT SUPER SICK 3-4am in the morning on Sunday! We are a huge family, have been going here for years 21+ years, as we called to tell them we had a bad cake, apparently we had to bring it in. If the cake is bad, what would anyone do with it? Throw it away? Put a bad cake in the fridge? Better yet, make sure you get there before closing on Sunday 5pm, NOPE they wanted to see the cake! lol WHY!??? You don't believe us?? Like 25 bucks is going to break us?? We were loyal customers and the way management treated us , IS why we NO longer will be going there! I bet the employees don't care like they use to, and probably left the WHIP cream out in the hot heat, and didn't give a shit and still made a cake out of it!! If the manager talked to us like that, I bet the employees are not HAPPY. MANAGEMENT needs to be looked at! THEY HAVE LOST my/our business and I wanted everyone to know, this bakery is NOT what it use to be! They lost the trust of us, and playing RUSSIAN ROULETTE (fresh cake or OLD CAKE) NO THANKS, and the worst is how we were treated.

I have worked in cake business with decorating and handling whip cream. My daughters graduation party was this past Saturday July 16,2022. I asked my sister that lives in Yonkers to pick up a cake from delite bakery our favorite, and she picked up a strawberry whipped cream cake, and a Napoleon cake. My daughters favorite was strawberry but unfortunately the whipped cream was spoiled and sour. My sister wasn't able to bring the cake back on Sunday she picked it up right before coming to my house on Saturday. I refrigerated the two cakes right away when she arrived. She returned it today on Monday and she had left it in the car because the whipped cream was spoiled and why refrigerate a spoiled cake that made 3-4 peopled sick. Only one fourth of the cake was missing because we realized the whipped cream was spoiled and no one could eat it. The manager Eric was trying to say we didn't refrigerate the cake and it spoiled because of it. I will post a pick of the two cakes. We have been using Delite for most of our family celebrations for the past 22 years! It's not about the $25 cake it's about people got sick and Eric insinuated that we were possibly wrong or lying about it. No customer service and rude manager! In Response To Manager Eric: The cake was spoiled and not eaten! It was left in the car because would you refrigerate a spoiled cake? Also the cake would have been completely eaten if it wasn't spoiled! What ever he says, he is rude and shouldn't be managing the bakery! Very disappointed with the bakery and the products they are producing.

Ordered a cake for my sisters bridal shower. Staff was WONDERFUL (especially Christina)! They even used REAL flowers that I chose myself for no extra cost! The price was right, the cake tasted amazing as always. You can tell it was fresh. We couldn't decide whether we wanted a vanilla with chocolate mousse, or a strawberry short cake, so they gave us BOTH! There were zero complications. They even added in leaves last minute for me to create more of a "wow" affect when I went to go pick it up. They didn't even throw out the rest of my flowers! Highly recommended. Perfect if you live in Yonkers or need a custom cake. (They even go off picture references and exceed your vision). A must try!

Thank you Delite for another amazing cake! Inside was chocolate layered with vanilla buttercream filling. Such a beautiful cake and compliments all round from all at the party! It was ok if you need something sweet but cookies were too big and nothing special. The best thing we had there was a triangular layer cake frosted in chocolate. Next time, I would pass on the cookies.

This place is truly amazing. It's very hard to find delicious cakes, pastries and bread. Growing up in Yonkers we had a few good bakeries that are all gone. Keep on supporting small businesses like Delite to keep them around for ever. I live in Manhattan and continue using them for my events. The staff is amazing and accommodating. SHOUT OUT TO ERIC!!!!

I was pleased with a cake I ordered for my best friend. The baker was accommodating and made my requests work. The cake was delicious and super cute.

The cake I ordered was delivered on time. It had great reviews regarding taste and most of all it looked amazing. I ordered a two tier chocolate cake and red velvet cake, woodland themed for a baby shower and it was amazing. The staff was pleasant and easy to work with! This is the second time I got a cake here, the first being for my dads birthday and it too was delicious. I Highly recommend them! ** Please note the gumpaste animals were not from this bakery they were hand made and added. The cake and the mushrooms were done by the bakery.

They did a great job for our 4 year old's cake! We would definitely call them again. Prices are reasonable in comparison to other custom cake bakeries.

Although I signed a waiver regarding the design, I was displeased by the display outside and inside the cake, as well as the taste. We were not happy.  The quality is bad, it is not just about the design, even if it was your own - the quality was not .  The fondant design was so faded and dull.  I had to fix the cake,  and for the money spent it was a total waste.  The inside sponge was an ugly color as well.  The cake in general was way too sweet/sugary and dry like something I would pay for at a grocery store. Point blank, it was not what we expected and we gave the benefit of the doubt regardless if it was not the exact replica that it would at least look and taste nice.  Many guests had only one bite. I just want to finally submit this complaint and let others know this place it not what it seems. I can tell from a good quality place. Thank you

Totally amazing experience! I came in with a vague idea of what I wanted for my daughter's birthday cake and they patiently helped me narrow it down. Not only did Delite provide me with a beautiful cake, it was delicious too! Everyone at my daughter's party was complimenting the cake and asking for the bakery's information. I highly recommend this bakery! The staff was friendly, courteous and you could tell they all really take great pride in their work. I will absolutely order from them again!

After going to numerous bakeries for tastings we ordered this cake from Delite Bakery. They did not disappoint. It was so fresh and moist, not too sweet. Perfection!

Best Bakery in Yonkers NY. It's been making amazing treats for decades in this location. I always go for morning pastries. Their Raisin Buns and Jelly Donuts are my favorite. They also do a great Black and White Cookie.

Delite used to be my " go to" bakery but management has clearly changed. The Cakes are not consistent (sometimes old) and the manager has a nasty attitude

I've used this bake shop on several occasions for delivery. They have exceeded by expectations every time. This bake shop is now my go to whenever I need a cake for that special occasion. Today, I requested a birthday cake - at the last minute - for same day delivery. They baked, designed, and delivered a perfect birthday cake for my wife! The smile on her face was priceless! Thanks Delight Bake Shop for helping to make her 50th birthday memorable.

** Disclaimer the baker is different than who it used to be. I say that because you can tell just by appearance. When my family and I tasted it we could definitely tell something was wrong. Cake had very dry texture and seemed stale. I added two photos one from my cousins party a few years ago which my whole family ate and loved and the other one is sadly my cake which my whole family also ate but were all extremely disappointed in. Me especially since it was my party and I was excited to get this cake like we had for my older cousin. We all talked about it for weeks and was a huge letdown when we tasted how bad it was. My brother called to complain and was told to bring the cake back when he did they said that there was they could do because of the portion missing. In addition while I was reading the reviews I noticed the manager has very poor professionalism with customers who are unhappy with their products. When there is a mistake you rectify it by issuing a refund. Cakes are very different than if you were to order form a restaurant, while you're eating you can tell the sever you don't like it and they can fix it. However a cake is for an event with multiple people and when the event is over you can't go back in time and redo it. Everyone at the event is going to take a piece of the cake thats why alot is missing. I didn't get the cake for myself. I don't understand why issuing a refund is so difficult for them to do. In another review the manager weighed the amount that the customer brought back. That's absolutely ridiculous. It seems that they want you to shove half eaten pieces into the box with everyone's germs on it and bring it to their counter which is unsanitary and utterly disgusting. Not to mention dangerous during Covid. If the customers make a point to complain and go out of their way to bring something back obviously there was a problem with it. Especially desserts. People love desserts. If the desserts were good there wouldn't be any to bring back in the 1st place. I don't know whats so hard for them to understand that. Worst part of this whole ordeal is the manager and owner did not even apologize for the poor product they served us. Instead just accused us of trying to ruin them and being friends with a former employee and that they must have put us up to bringing the cake back. We were obviously real customers and we were really disappointed. I hope they start to take some responsibility and listen their customers. ***Eric the horrible manager just replied to my review. Again being a blind manger and not noticing that there are numerous people who have the SAME issues with their products. Your cakes are dry your professionalism is nonexistent and I can't wait until the day you guys close your doors. You're probably slowly on your way considering the recent reviews I SEE ON YOUR YELP AND GOOGLE REVIEWS which says the same thing your products suck so take responsibility or close your doors!!!

Delite has always been our go to bakery. They make delicious cakes and pastries specific to your needs. Make a call and place your order, pick up on the day you desire. Reasonably priced. I highly recommend them.

Ordered chocolate cake that was stale and dry when i ate it. It was for a family get together and after the first slices, my family complained about its texture. The fudge was fresh but the cake itself tasted as though they left in the refrigerator uncovered for days before frosting and selling it to customers. When i called to the bakery to explain that the staff is spoke with confirmed the cake was fresh when i ordered it, the Manager defended the cake and said it was moist and then lied in his response to a review i made on google by saying he offered 25% off a future order. HE DID NOT! HE OFFERED 15% which I DECLINED as there would be no need in me returning since he defended his store dry cake. . If that is what their cakes taste like, Why would i return? Terrible cake quality as other reviews on here are mentioning. And apparently an even worse management. Go to an alternative bakery!

I purchased a cake this weekend and it was absolutely delish!!!! It was so fresh ! The fruit was sweet, the whipped cream was so fluffy and good!! I will order from here again fir sure.
