Yelp
I was part of a group of 23 people, who ordered a party package for our annual holiday lunch.
(1) Wine - delicious and a nice portion, served in an attractive glass, but $12+ for a glass is pricey.
(2) Bread - two types of bread: a baguette and garlic rolls. Butter served with them. Well presented, but the bread was cold. It would have been better if served hot or warm.
(3) Appetizer - soups and salads. The salad was delicious; a little heavy on the tomatoes, but a hearty portion, with oil and vinegar seasoning. The soups served to people seated on my table looked satisfactory. All finished their soups and were impressed.
(4) Main Dish - chicken parmigiana with sides of spinach, broccoli, and baked potatoes. The cutlet was delicious, but the sides came later - much later. The broccoli was a little spicy, but it still was quite tasty.
On the other hand, the potatoes were burnt on one side. These were small potatoes cut in half. When they first arrived on my table, some of us thought they were mushrooms, because of their color and small size.
There were 6 people on my table. The portion of potatoes would just be enough for 2 or 3 people.
My cutlet came with no cheese (as requested), but also without tomato sauce. I had to request a dish of tomato sauce. The waiter came back with a generous portion of hot tomato sauce that I enjoyed with my chicken. I even enjoyed dipping bread into it! Very well done!
However, the chicken parmigiana order was NOT consistent with other people seated on my table. For some, their chicken was covered with melted cheese and tomato sauce. Others had orders with cheese only on half of their chicken parmigiana while the other had nothing on top. Disappointed, they just accepted what was given to them.
Most complaints from my table were about the pasta. Comments were that the pasta was overcooked, and did not have a enough sauce. The pasta portions were generous, but those who ordered them were recommended not to partake in the vegetables and potatoes. At least 3 people in my group hardly touched the pasta meals, and had to share sides with those who ordered chicken or fish.
(5) Dessert - cannoli. The cannoli was a bit dry and not as flavorful as I would have liked. The cream did not taste as sweet as the cannolis I have eaten in Italian restaurants, or ordered from bakeries.
Sadly, the portion of this dessert was smaller than I am used to receiving in Italian restaurants.
The tiramasu cakes, eaten by my friends, looked delicious, but were smaller than I enjoyed in other establishments. Notably, they were much smaller than the tiramasu slices pictured in other reviews.
(6) Tea - My tea took so long to arrive that I had to remind the waitress to include it in my order. She brought it to me toward the end of our group's blocked time for our annual holiday party, so I rushed to drink it before leaving the restaurant.
(7) Utensils - utensils were satisfactory for the my meal, with one exception. I was provided with only one knife, which I used to spread butter and to cut my appetizer. I would probably have had to use it again, on my main dish, but I asked the server to replace it when our appetizers were cleared. I then needed to remind the servers to bring a new knife, when my main dish arrived without one.
Overall, the meal started off well with the bread and appetizers, but there were several problems with the main dishes. Unfortunately, the dessert and tea were not satisfactory. The wait staff were kind and friendly, and seemed to work hard, but Delizia should resolve the issues that I, and several other commenters, mentioned.
I attended holiday parties here in the past. My opinion is that our group may want to look at other places to visit, next year.
