How Coronavirus Has Changed Brexit’s Impact on U.K. Restaurants - Eater London

"Delizie d’Italia, a cafe and deli in Pimlico, still buys about 90 percent of its stock directly from Italy, where it works with a local supplier. Co-owner Gaetano Lo Presti says that it is “the only way for us to go the extra mile and offer better prices to customers." - Lisa Haseldine

This is a wonderfully warm and friendly Italian spot, very small, always busy but with excellent service that makes you feel right at home. I ordered the Napoli on focaccia bread. The ingredients were clearly fresh but I found myself wishing for a bit more flavour like maybe a drizzle of olive oil, a touch of pesto, or some kind of sauce to tie it all together. The vegetables on their own didn’t quite carry the dish. For dessert, I had the hazelnut and pistachio cannoli. They were fantastic. If you’re only getting one, go for the pistachio it’s the best. The menu offers a surprisingly wide range of options, from lasagna to ravioli, and I’m definitely planning to come back to try the pasta next time.

There is not a better a sandwich in all of London. Great service, wonderful espresso. An excellent cannoli. I got the Siracusa and it was exquisite

The place came recommended. The coffee is good. The food, although tasty, was plated so badly it arrived looking like a messy mash up. Not what I had expected at all and was quite taken aback.

Got some takeaway food from here after arriving in London. Unbelievably good! Highly recommend the Pisa sandwich with ham, mozzarella and Italian ham on focaccia. Meatballs, lasagne, coffee all delicious! And staff are so passionate about what they do. Thank you!

Fresh and delicious food service for dine in or take away. Staff is kind and friendly. We went back a few times for provisions because everything was fresh and very tasty. There are a few tables outside if you want to be eat there. Prices are very reasonable, but the quality is off the charts. Definitely recommend for an easy meal.

Yelp
20p coin on my food. Will complain to Council and FSA. After disgusting negligence in their food handling, they laughed my wife off after confronting them. They apologised profusely and said they 'will do better next time' but did not have the decency to refund us tainted food.

Yelp
The very first time I came into this cafe was the day we were first looking for a flat to rent in Pimlico. We had gone to visit Dolphin Square and ended up on Lupus Street. I saw this cute cafe with a queue so I knew I had to go. After weeks of Pret subscription, the actual real cafe latte here was an absolute delight. The staff are wonderful, friendly and it's these kind of cafes that made me fall in love with London. Next time, I had a lunch and I'm a salmon lover so I had to get a juicy piece of Salmon. Their salmon preparation is outstanding. First, the quality of the fish is just terrific and the delicious honey, soy glaze is so good. Their greek salad is crave worthy and I haven't even had a sandwich here yet. Some of my proudest London moments involve the Deli. First, when I introuduced my Italian friend who told me this was a legit spot and proceeded to show me some of her favorite pastas and ingredients to buy. I felt that built my clout as a aspiring Londoner. Another proud moment was taking someone who grew up in Victoria and never heard of the deli before, he now goes there every week. This is an absolute gem of a place and sadly, now that I'm in LA, I can't go here for my morning coffee or favorite lunch. When I'm back, this is one of the first places I want to go. And I forgot, the tiramisu, in the cold case, get that too. This place always makes me and my belly smile.

Yelp
Ordered 2 plates of ravioli and a plate of their chicken with mushrooms. Good-tasting homemade food while on a stroll to a fish and chip shop. All for £25 with £2 tip. We sat outside in their heated little patio.

Yelp
This was a happy accident to get to visit such a wonderful tasting Italian deli sandwich. I asked the kind person that worked there what their favorite was which from what I remember was I believe called Furmagia and it was delicious. When it came down to Sides I ended up going ahead and getting a meatball which isn't typically classified as a side dish but I just could not turn it down and it tasted incredible!

Yelp
Full service and to go food. They serve hot coffee drinks and desserts too. I had the eggplant Parmesan. It was delicious but I would have wanted mozzarella on it. Overall it was good.

Yelp
The most Italian corner in Pimlico, so much so, that when I went on there the guy that helped me did not speak a word of English; I was trying "porfavore" to get a sandwich. They have all sorts of cold meats, and pasta, and good ready to eat lasagna.

Yelp
Great place to have breakfast in a 'no-nonsense' deli atmosphere. Try their generous scrambled eggs and salmon and their fresh ricotta cannoli, very nice cappuccinos too.

Yelp
Well I smelt the aroma of quality as I wondered down Lupus Rd on a gloriously late sunny afternoon, and stopped and had a coffee as evening arrived at possibly the best cafe in London . The food is wonderful the price is superb and the staff were excellent . Left with a bottle of brilliant wine and a gorgeous buffalo mozzarella . I'm in London for one more week and will go out of my way to pass again .

Yelp
When you want to drink a real Italian Cappuccino (yes this is the real spelling, I am Italian), try this lovely cosy delicatessen shop. You can sit down in a relaxed atmosphere and enjoy the many Italian delicacies. Why don't you start with a tasty ciabatta bread fill in with Parma Ham (prosciutto crudo), mozzarella, grilled aubergines, make it hot for supreme taste and finish with one of the many sweets or cakes offered. Plenty of choice, everything is authentic. Prices are more expensive than the local sandwich shop but not so much more for the quality offered. Some Pasta prices are cheaper than the big stores. Good Value. Try you will love it too!

Yelp
a delicious and authentically Italian Bistro in Pimlico. Fresh pasta dishes all handmade, (when they run out they have to make more) incredible salads, desserts, and ...the coffee!!!! We ate there every day after we discovered it. The staff are all Italian and very attentive. My highest recommendation.

Yelp
After a stop at the Tate Britain me and my mister were starved and decided to have a look around to see if we could grab a late lunch somewhere. We passed Delizie d'Italia as it looked mostly like a grocery store from outside but decided to come back and give it a try. I got the pasta of the day (pumpkin and Gorgonzola) and it was an Italian fest for my palate. The place has plenty of authentic Italian products and delicatessen, you can eat in (only few tables) or eat out. The staff is lovely and the prices very affordable. Highly recommended if you are looking for a genuine delicious place around Pimlico. We will go back for sure.

Yelp
5* staff and coffee!! Staying in the neighborhood for two weeks we frequented this establishment on many, many occasion. We were very impressed by the hardworking staff and good food. It seems to be a hangout for locals and visitors alike. Thanks for being there and for showing us how friendly and accommodating people can be. Continue with this business model and I am sure that your successes will be ongoing. Jean and Michael
