This was our first visit to Delizie, but won’t be our last. Ambience gives you neighborhood Italian spot vibes. Low lighting, bustle of servers attending to patrons, sounds of forks on plates and convos. We were seated in a little back room (no reservation). We started out with calamarie - my hubs preferred the marinara dip, but I loved the lemon aioli. Mains- we ordered the special- lamb shank over mushroom risotto - this was made to absolute perfection 🤌🏼. 18 hour slow cook makes it ultra tender, yet still on the bone atop delicious risotto- also not runny or dry, but creamy and delicious. The sauce over the lamb was rich and velvety. This is a hearty dish without leaving you feeling regretful. Okay, on to my dish… I went with server, Raul’s recommendation of the chicken picata. (I’ll share that I rarely order chicken when dining out, since that’s what I can make at home). The chicken picata didn’t disappoint. It was pounded to tender perfection, moist and flavorful (for breast). This is a lemon forward dish, which I love. Capers and a demi glaze to dress the chicken and roasted veggies as the side. Solid dish, but we will be back to explore more mains/specials. Desert- warm banana bread with chocolate gelato - interesting for a desert, but moist, delicious and chocolate gelato was a dark, rich treat. I had the pumpkin cheesecake. It wasn’t super pumpkin-y, but ate like a fall cheesecake- flavors of pumpkin pie spice. Both good Fall 🍁 deserts. They make all their deserts in house (except cookie and gelato), and it shows care and craft. I’d be remissed if I didn’t share that the service was perfection, maybe even better than the meal. Raul was what every owner should endeavor to hire- he knew and shared over six specials in detail, from every ingredient to how each dish is prepared. He was attentive and knowledgeable, focusing on our experience, and answered questions while making recommendations. Also, the support staff were on it with water refills, and food served quickly (not sure how they did that). Exceptional experience that demonstrated care and team work. Thank you. We’re excited for our next visit! PS- loved that red blend from Mexico 🍷 please keep it.

I stumbled upon this delightful Italian restaurant while visiting the area, and I’m so glad I did! It can be a challenge to find a truly great Italian spot in the Valley or I.E., but this place exceeded my expectations. From the moment I walked in, the service was outstanding. The maître d, manager, head waiter (all in one)—was attentive and engaging, checking in on us throughout our meal. It felt more like a warm, family-run establishment than a typical restaurant, with staff and regular patrons sharing hugs and laughter. The complimentary salsa served with the bread was an interesting twist—I appreciated the cucumber base, but being a traditionalist, I usually prefer simply good olive oil and balsamic vinegar. At first, I thought it was pesto, but it had a unique flavor that prompted us to inquire about its ingredients. While the food was delicious, I did feel that the portions could have been a bit larger for the price, and the salsa accompaniment with the calamari didn’t quite hit the mark for me. However, the true star of the meal was the sauce—it was absolutely fantastic, with no complaints whatsoever. Overall, I had a lovely experience with great service, a warm ambiance, and delicious food. I would definitely recommend giving this place a try if you’re in town!

We have been coming regularly to Delizie since we moved to South OC in 2007. Our recent visit a couple of days ago did not disappoint. The food, atmosphere and service was as amazing as it had been since 1.5 decades ago

Google
This neighborhood Italian restaurant offers very good food, though it leans more toward safe, classic flavors rather than anything extraordinary. We started with the crispy calamari as an appetizer, and it was excellent—perfectly cooked and seasoned, paired with a couple of nice sauces. My wife had the veal ravioli, which was absolutely extraordinary and easily the highlight of the meal. Felt freshly made. I opted for the linguine vongole, but unfortunately, it didn’t live up to expectations. It was just average, lacking the garlic and briny flavors that make this dish special and simple. We ended the meal with a tiramisu, which was delicious and a great way to wrap things up. On top of that, the service was outstanding—attentive, friendly, and quick, which made the experience even more enjoyable. Overall, this is a solid choice for a good Italian meal. While not everything wowed us, I’d definitely return, especially for that ravioli, dessert, and the excellent service!

2/6/2024 Had a terrific lunch at Delizie Ristorante Bar in Mission Viejo. Raul was our amazing server and is so professional, kind, and attentive. We started with drinks, bread, and the minestrone soup, which were fantastic. The day was wet and rainy as we enjoyed the warmth and ambiance of the restaurant. Raul took our entree order, and my wife ordered the salmon with veggies and roasted potatoes, and I had the eggplant with a side of meatballs and Italian sausage. The food was very good, as was the customer service. We finished with spumoni and coffee. So good! Highly recommended Previous visit Had a wonderful evening at Delizie Ristorante. Raul was our server as was simply amazing, and Eric "Goku" was assisting with the delivery of the appetizers, entrees, and dessert. Both of these men have excellent customer service skills, and the chef specials and overall dining experience were superb. The soup and salad were perfect, as were the wine choices. The salmon entree and shrimp and scallops linguine entree were presented well and tasted that much better. Raul was very attentive, personable, and very professional. Eric "Goku" was working hard all night and provided stellar service besides being very respectful and professional. The vibe was very positive, and the hostesses were professional, friendly, and accommodating. Highly recommended.

Google
Great Italian food. The limoncello martini was delicious. Had the Irish coffee as well, also delicious if you like whiskey. The shrimp with angel hair has spice but not overly spicy. The calamari was hot and delicious and melts in your mouth. Recommend the desserts. Busy and great energy. Service was lovely and will definitely be back to try the other items. Plenty of parking.

Yelp
I enjoyed my dinner here. Awesome tortellini and risotto! It's hard to find good Italian food in OC and this is one of the ones. The soup of the day needed to be better, too salty and unbalanced flavors (not bad though) and the dessert was off as the canoli shell needed to be fresher but the pasta itself and risotto were beautifully made. Still gets 5 stars for that.
google avatar

Joey L.

Yelp
This place is way too much hype for very American style Italian food. The pasta is boxed, the sausages are frozen and the sauces are all too liquidy and runny. No sense of Italian food here. Just an American style spin of the real thing

Yelp
I knew I'd visited here once before but I didn't realize it was THAT long ago. And by "that" long -- I mean 13 years. Time really does fly. Came here with my mum for dinner last night - a few things that stood out: - they have worldly specials a few nights of the week that look very delightful. For example, Sunday spaghetti and meatballs, another lasagna night, a surf and turf special, a chicken or eggplant parmesan special, etc. I'd definitely like to give the chicken parmesan a go in the future! We had quite a late lunch so didn't opt for any appetizers besides the complimentary bread and pesto-like spread, which was very flavorful. For entrees, mum had the cioppino and I had the cannelloni di pollo, which is not something that I would usually get. My mum wishes the cioppino had more than one shrimp - it was predominately clams and mussels with one other piece of fresh fish. Despite the lack of shrimp, she greatly enjoyed the flavor. The portion was quite large and she didn't get around to much of the pasta, but did take it home for leftovers. The cannelloni's white sauce was very rich, so I got a lot fuller than I thought! The server did warn me it was quite a heavy dish, so I knew what I was getting into. I ate half of it -- plenty more for another meal! I can't believe it's been so long since I've been here; I've seen several folks recommend it on various local Facebook groups, so I'm happy I gave it another go! I do want to come back for their Saturday/Sunday brunch, too (8am - 2pm). 2025: 44/100
google avatar

Jenn R.

Yelp
I didn't realize they served breakfast dishes (brunch) here until this visit. It's only offered Saturday & Sunday, 8AM-2PM, so plan accordingly. THE FOOD. - Toasted Baguette. Complimentary slices, lightly crisped on the outside with a warm, chewy interior. Served with butter, simple yet comforting. - California Omelette. Fluffy eggs folded around bacon and cheese with slices of avocado on top and a side of house made tomatillo sauce. Bright, fresh, and hearty... a classic omelette. It comes with a side of herby breakfast potatoes; golden and crisp on the outside, tender within. - Lobster Omelette. Tender chunks of lobster and melted cheese tucked into soft eggs and finished with slices of avocado on top. This omelette is indulgent without being overly heavy. - French Toast. Thick slices of bread griddled to a golden finish and filled with cream cheese and strawberry jam. A dusting of powdered sugar adds a delicate sweetness, while fresh strawberries, blackberries, and blueberries brighten the plate. Sweet and tangy; this is a breakfast that easily doubles as dessert. THE DRINK. - Coffee. Hot, bold, and freshly brewed. The kind of straightforward cup that pairs perfectly with hearty breakfast dishes. THE PARKING. Located in a large shopping plaza, parking is plentiful and free. No need to circle around--you'll find a spot with ease. THE VERDICT. A wonderful breakfast experience with attentive service. The quiet setting feels almost like stumbling upon a hidden gem.

Yelp
This was a nice little place. SERVICE: The service was great. Our server Anthony was really nice and took good care of us. FOOD: Food was good! The portions were a good size and value. AMBIANCE: Nice ambiance.
google avatar

Lillian T.

Yelp
A 5 star restaurant. The place was very clean, the servers were super nice, the food delicious. I came in with pants that were a little wet and sandy, since we were at the beach before coming here and a wave got me. We live far away so going back to change was not an option. Was expected to be thrown out or looked at funny, but nope! Had a wonderful meal! We ordered the mussels, rigatoni and pappardelle.
google avatar

Zipora K.

Yelp
The food is great. So many choices and specials. Raul our waiter was so thoughtful and explained the menu you see, So polite and respectful to the older customer. My friend and I will be regulars from now on.
google avatar

Yelp
Service was incredible. Loved my server a ton which is why I was too shy to let him know how I felt about the entree he recommended for me. He said to get the cioppino or the veal ravioli. As a seafood lover I went with the Ciopinno. Muscles and clams were so far from edible it was insane. Had to be at least a year old. The sauce tasted great in the dish but the clams and muscles were rancid. How they could serve that was a crime in itself. I did get to try my dads cheese ravioli with the brown sage butter and it was incredible

James P.

Yelp
$60 for a small and burnt piece of veal chop. The sea bass was frozen in the middle and pasta was below average. Never going back there again and save your money by not going there also.
google avatar

Diana T.

Yelp
Came here on a Saturday night and had a preset menu to choose from. Tried the minestrone soup, salad, chicken Marsala, salmon, and an array of desserts. The pasta such as the rigatoni looked so good but I was trying ti be healthy . The soup was delish, salad was just a simple salad. The chicken was a bit dried but the salmon was cooked to perfection. They desserts were good but nothing amazing. All in all good service but if I do come here again, I'm going all out on the carbs
google avatar

Kevin C.

Yelp
The food and service were good here. Our server was very knowledgeable about the menu. The meal started with fresh bread and pesto that was bursting with flavor. We ordered the seafood pasta with shrimp and mussels and the secret menu pork chop. Both were delicious, would recommend. The ambience is alright I like the white tablecloth with candles. However the sports bar in front and open layout make it more of a casual restaurant vibe.
google avatar

Anthony P.

Yelp
ordered the Rigatoni Al Forno, and it was excellent really flavorful and perfectly cooked. For dessert, I had the tiramisu, which was also delicious and nicely done. The ambience is warm and inviting, and the service was friendly and attentive. Overall, a great dining experience!

Yelp
Great option for Sat or Sun brunch. They took reservations too for our party of 6. Prices were very reasonable! Servings were large. Veggie scramble was hearty & served with choice of side either potatoes or fruit. French toast was delicious! Presentation of food was beautiful! Service was fantastic! Drinks refilled & plates cleared quickly. They opened the door for you as well. It's the little things that count.

Yelp
I was the DJ and a guests for the 70th birthday party celebration. Dinner was absolutely delicious and the service was amazing! Great appreciation to their floor management and staff on duty that day excellent service

Yelp
Great service and Italian Food. I would highly recommend giving it a try for your next special occasion

Yelp
Taking away a star. I really, really wanted to love this place which is why we tried it again last week. Unfortunately, it was disappointing. Our waiter knocked over a wine glass, which broke into pieces on our table. No big deal as they cleaned it up and accidents happen. However, our food was more than underwhelming. My son had the angel hair pasta with shrimp; he could barely eat it and said it was too spicy. My daughter had a few bites of her pasta with salmon but said it was way too fishy and had no sauce. My pesto pasta dish was ok but for what we spent on these dishes it wasn't worth it. Also, the host looked at his watch when we arrived for a late (2:00pm) lunch. Sorry but if you are open then you should be ready to serve customers. Bad experience and I will not return!

Cheryl V.

Yelp
I love Delizie's for their pear salad, Chilean Sea-bass &/or specials, Austin Hope Cab & Spumoni ice cream!

Yelp
Stopped for lunch for some pasta, and this place did not disappoint! We ordered simple dishes not on their extensive menu...spaghetti bolognese and capellini al checca. We split a Caesar salad and had a wonderful meal! Will be back!
google avatar

Chris S.

Yelp
Great food, great service, great atmosphere! Highly recommend for anytime....but the brunch is fantastic
google avatar

Lindsay O.

Yelp
Food is amazing, service is always good. It's a nice spot to eat but the atmosphere doesn't match the prices you pay at all. It's not upscale enough inside to charge those types of prices imo.
google avatar

Amanda R.

Yelp
Amazing food! I had a very specific craving for mussels and clams (as one does) and we ended up here and it was chefs kiss!! Literally exactly what I wanted and a massive portion! Service was top notch everyone was lovely especially our server Raul! 10/10 will be back!

Houser S.

Yelp
I have been here a few times now. Consistently, the customer service is wonderful, really great! It's a bit of a wait for food though and having an Italian brother in law who owns a restaurant with his family, the food at Delizie is just average. I was expecting really good food. For example I ordered Cesar salad and they used olive oils and vinegar, no Cesar dressing. The spaghetti had 10 very large slices of garlic in it although the sauce didn't seem garlicky. The meatballs are great! Portions are fairly large. Shareable. The bruschetta was also a lot, they don't skimp on food. Prices are reasonable for nowadays, expect $50 per person with appetizer, meal and wine. We did order spumoni ice cream. It was so delicious, served with strawberries and whip. Plan to be there for about 2 hours as that's how long it takes with everything, otherwise order take out. All in all, when comfort food is calling, this is your place!

Constance D.

Yelp
The cocktails and wine are very good here. Our server Carlos is always attentive without hovering. It is a cozy atmosphere and not real loud. We eat here often just because the food is so darn good. I love their eggplant Parmesan , veal ravioli , lasagna . I decided to try something different the other night and had the lamb chops. They were done perfectly and served with veggies and potatoes. A friend had the pork oso buco and he throughly enjoyed it. I always get an afagatto for dessert even though all their deserts are awesome.
google avatar

Yelp
Reservations @6pm on a Thursday allowed us to choose a booth- tables were full by meals end. Professional service team was quick w/ water and complimentary bread with a basil dip that was tasty and unique. Three of us shared delicious entrees and it was hard to pick a favorite. 1. Penne pasta with pesto, chicken, and sun dried tomatoes 2. Margarita pizza 3. Vodka chicken tortellini with pancetta. Each delicious in their own right. Our daughter said it was the best pizza and pasta she's ever had. Great location for a romantic evening or family dinner, as well as high rise tables and intimate bar area for happy hour with two TVs for Thursday Night Football.

Jeff L.

Yelp
This place has the audacity to say they have " authentic" Italian food. If you want "authentic "go to New York. How do you mess up Meatballs and Spaghetti? Adding an extra star for customer service. Food is definitely not up to par. Owners need to get some taste buds.
google avatar

Karen W.

Yelp
Hosted a birthday luncheon for 25 people in the private dining room. The team was wonderful! Very prompt service, attentive and ensured we all had a wonderful time. The prefix menu was perfectly paired and delicious. Thank you to the entire service team for exceeding our expectations!

Lorraine H.

Yelp
Service! Service! Service! The servers are so attentive and such nice guys. They don't rush you and you can sit and enjoy your company and dinner unlike many other restaurants in OC where we feel rushed bc they all close at 9. They do a great job everytime we go there and the food is just as delicious with great specials. It's our go to!

Aleanor T.

Yelp
Best services, great foods, plenty of parking spaces, and it is in our neighborhood for the convenience, also not far from the freeway for people from nearby cities!! I regret that i didn't pay attention to this restaurant for living here for ten years!
google avatar

SM B.

Yelp
Hubby and I would always have our our weekly Italian dinner date at this restaurant. My favorite is the Frutti di Mare Risotto and hubby likes the Penne Pesto Pollo and the glazed Porkchops. For dessert, it will be the Pane Alla Banana and the Creme Brulee. We tried to cheat on them and went to another Italian restaurant, but it's never the same, and we end up being disappointed that we even thought of trying another Italian restaurant. When we visited Italy and had pesto at Monterosso - the home of pesto, Hubby ordered his penne Pollo pesto, but was not happy... he said he liked the one at Delizie a lot better!

Oral U.

Yelp
No wait time with an early reservation. The waiter explained the ingredients and preparation of the dishes when we had questions. The staff was very friendly and checked on you regularly for drink refills etc.
google avatar

Genevieve H.

Yelp
Delicious with fast service and not too crowded for Father's Day. We were seated immediately with a reservation and quickly got our drinks and a delicious bread basket with a green spinach pesto. The bruschetta is SO good and comes with 4 pieces. The tortellacci Al formaggio e spinaci is delicious with cheesy stuffed pasta and lots of veggies in a garlicky red sauce (very garlicky, recommended for garlic lovers like myself). The rigatoni Al for no comes fresh out of the oven like the name suggests covered in cheese with perfectly cooked noodles, my dad loved it. The crème brûlée for dessert was also amazing and covered in berries. This is the second time I've been here and had a great experience, I'll be back!
google avatar

Alex L.

Yelp
Locally owned Restaurant in Mission Viejo that serves authentic Italian cuisine with very delicious food as well as great service in a relaxing and welcoming ambiance. Worth a visit from Las Vegas.
google avatar

Vida K.

Yelp
We celebrated a wedding rehearsal dinner at Delizie and were so happy we did! We had a private room which seated 22 people very nicely. The service was stellar and very attentive. We had a fixed menu with choices of salad or soup, and for the entree choices of steak, salmon, chicken marsala, eggplant parmigiana, and Margarita pizza (which was a huge hit with the children). For dessert, platters of assorted amazing Italian delicacies were passed out. The food was extremely delicious and everyone thoroughly enjoyed each dish! Juan and Marty, Thank you!!!

Saydee S.

Yelp
We absolutely love Delizie as a family the food and the staff are always up to par. Their buffet during Easter is stellar with the staff always putting on a smile and cheerful. I usually go there during dinner or a late lunch, but my family decided to go early for breakfast and the steak was absolutely cooked perfect and had the greatest taste!

Yelp
This was our spot tonight for the big game. ( TCU & Georgia ) We had a very nice waiter, who was also the bartender, so he was hopping around the entire restaurant, trying to accommodate everybody . And all I can say is , he was very successful. The spaghetti Bolognese , and spinach, ricotta rotolle was delicious. Their pizzas are yummy and salads are fresh. We washed all of that down with a bottle of Charles Krug Cabernet . In my opinion, this restaurant was not much from the street, but once you come inside, it's quite charming ...
google avatar

Jezzeri W.

Yelp
Service was great and food was delicious. The server recommended a beautiful white wine that paired with my clam linguine. The white wine sauce in the linguine was exquisite.
google avatar

R. H.

Yelp
My husband and I come here approximately 3 times a month, whether it's for brunch or dinner. The food is always delicious and service amazing! The vibe is relaxed and casual.
google avatar

Maryann H.

Yelp
Tried a new dish, raviolini di vitello, and was so happy I did. It was decadent, rich, and full of flavor from the shiitake mushroom, brandy reduction and bits of pancetta over large ravioli filled with veal. Could only eat half so another dinner at home. Service as usual was extremely attentive yet not rushed. Waiter knew the menu well. Another enjoyable meal at this very authentic Italian respite in middle of strip mall. Ambiance is always friendly and warm, while still a bit upscale. A beautifully plated chocolate cake came to our table with restaurants compliments to celebrate my birthday.
google avatar

Yelp
Have wanted to check this place for years. Finally made it happen today and I will be back! Food is solid and staff is the best. Great people as well. Love this place!!!!
google avatar

QD D.

Yelp
During Covid I wanted to help local business, so ordered to go. It was the blandest clam linguine I had ever tasted. I did eat there once for lunch meetup and the atmosphere was quiet and food was good eating in. So no take out for me.

Lisa L.

Yelp
This is our favorite Italian restaurant! Everything is delicious, and the cozy, neighborhood atmosphere can't be beat. The service is excellent, and the cocktails and wine list are also quite good. My favorite dish is the veal and mushroom ravioli -- because I love pasta! But the meat dishes -- especially the beef and pork osso buco are phenomenal!

Linda B.

Yelp
Veal marsala was disgusting. It's like they don't taste their own food. Spread that came with the bread is also unedible, made with cucumbers of all things. Will not be going back. Waiter never returned to ask how our food was.
google avatar

Calley G.

Yelp
I've heard RAVE reviews of this restaurant for quite some time. Finally got the opportunity to try it and I was honestly pretty disappointed. Positives were the incredibly friendly and amazing staff. Very warm and gracious. Really nice wine and cocktail options as well. The Espresso martini was so frothy and flavorful, YUM! Somewhere in between was the menu itself. It was a large, exquisite, beautiful Italian menu. However, there was only one vegetarian pasta option, aside from the Margherita pizza to order. Everything had some type of meat in or on it. Also, it was a little disappointing that every "Popular Dish" featured on Yelp(with delicious looking photos) weren't on the menu. I would've loved to try the Tortellini alla vodka (a vegetarian option), lobster ravioli, Chilean Seabass, Lobster bisque or even scallops, which were all featured but no where to be found on the menu. I love updated menus but it must've been recent changes because some were suggested to me a few weeks ago. Just bummed out to not be able to have some delicious pasta with delicious sauce and no meat. Ordered the Zuppetta Di Cozze E Vongole, which had a great broth and a hearty serving or clams and mussels. Also ordered the Tortellacci Al Formaggio E Spinaci, which was creamy and delicious. Overall nice environment, friendly staff and fresh Italian.

Fabia B.

Yelp
This our extended family's go to place for special occasions. We just celebrated a belated Christmas Dunch yesterday and we were delighted as always with the SERVICE, FOOD and DRINK and quiet atmosphere. Carlos was our waiter. He is always our server at our big table and he is an impeccable server. So kind, so knowledgeable and VERY PATIENT. we probably asked him the same thing 3 times and he always replied with grace and helpful details. Thank you Carlos! He's been working there for 5 years so that says a lot about the restaurant and about his expertise. Osso de Bucco is one of my favorites when it is on the menu. The fish entrees are always excellent. The staff is always willing to please and will change the sides and sauces if you wish. Desserts are amazing as well. The Cannoli is something authentic. So many great options and they are all delicious. We can't wait to go there soon again!
google avatar

Leonardo D.

Yelp
I came here on a Monday night, and my family was the last to be seated. Despite this, we didn't feel rushed at all, and we had time to enjoy our food. Looking around, you could see the smiles on the faces of the employees and the customers. We happened to come here as the NBA Finals were wrapping up and despite the air of excitement and the celebration after the game - it wasn't too loud. The relaxing and calm ambiance remained. The food was incredible, I left full and satisfied. Highly, highly reccommend.

Yelp
Great place to have dinner service is great and efficient and friendly. Try it you'll enjoy

Yelp
Food was pretty good and so is service, but overpriced. I've had better Italian food.

Yelp
The food is delicious! Service was superb and ambience just right for a night relaxing dinner out. Can't wait to go back.
